I have been here a couple times. Overall good experiences. I usually end up spending more than I want to, which is typical for all car repairs. However, every time they are always willing to help find the affordable option to keep your car running. Staff is great.

Logan was very helpful in changing my car light. I was also able to get a state inspection as well at a reasonable price at the same place, so I have no complaints.

Be careful! I've been to this place before and they did a good job for a fair price. But something changed. I took my car in to get a new door handle because my old one, which was chrome, fell off. They told me they couldn't find the same kind and said I had to buy a black one for $477. That's a lot of money for a handle that doesn't match my car, so I said no thanks.When I went to pick up my car, they made me pay $168 for looking at my door handle. That's ridiculous I am avoiding this place like the plague in the future. You should do the same.

Bad Customer Service. I brought my Subaru in for an A/C issue, and when I got my vehicle back my headlights were not working anymore (they were working just fine when I brought them in). I called and spoke to Jeremy to ask if the mechanic could have done something that could have caused this, for example touch the fuse box under the hood, during their trouble shooting efforts. Jeremy then proceeded to talk down to me and tell me there was no way the two were connected. I wasn't looking to push blame on anyone, just trying to figure out what happened.

Professional place with the customer in mind. They gave me accurate information about my vehicle and ensured that it met regulatory requirements. Plus they have a nice and comfortable waiting area unlike other places, I don t want to be hearing everything that s being done to my car like other places. They understand the business of having a satisfied customer.

Was recommended to come here by another body shop and I was existing to get serviced because I had heard such great things only to pull up and see that they had closed 30 minutes early! Like completely shut down for the day, there was no one available to ask questions or anything. This is unacceptable smh

I was driving my jeep down the road and my breaks decided to fail and give up on me I took it to my original Mechanic and he wasn't able to fix it yet so he told me these guys would do it and won't screw me over....I took my jeep out there and with in an hour they was working on my jeep and fixing it fast and the best they could!!! I was impressed with how fast and how great they did the job I will be coming here much much more!!! They got me back on the road safe and sound thanks to them!!!excelent service!!!! They got me new rotters and break pads and rebuild my caliber

Earnest was great to work with.Very Honest, Trustworthy, & Straight-Forward with Fair PricesService had some minor problems, but Earnest made sure that they were taken care of.I brought my Camaro SS in for A/C repair and ended up needing to pull the dash replace most of the A/C system and service was done quickly.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Auto A/C replacement, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Vehicle safety inspection

Came to Downtown Garage after the dealership said I needed new front brakes with only 27k miles on my car. Tim was very friendly, gave my car a look & turns out everything looks good. You know what they say. quality over quantity. small shops provide the detail oriented services that big shops tend to overlook. if you're in the area this shop is very convenient. as you could stroll into target while waiting on your vehicle to get serviced. I was on a cross country trip zoo trip with my wife and 6 kids when one of the front hub assemblies went out. Downtown Garage not only got me in right away, but they had me back on the road pretty quickly. We were still able to visit the Fort Worth Zoo that day. They inspected my vehicle while they had it in the shop to insure that everything was ready for the continuation of our trip. They have very knowledgeable and friendly staff from the front office to the mechanic that worked on my vehicle. It's tough to find a good trustworthy shop and these guys are definitely the best.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Vehicle Inspection

The place is nice, clean & professional looking. Here is my BIG issue. I brought car in b/c air was not cooling they got me right in with several empty bays, I now get why. Front desk told they would look at it, they solved problem & called me to desk in about 45 minutes. I was informed they added 4oz of A/C fluid (the expensive stuff), Then I got a bill for $275! No diagnosis & communication to me on what was found, what repair would cost they just did it & asked for payment. Who does that giving no estimate on repair, just doing it unauthorized? $160 in labor to add 4oz? I get coolant is expensive but $160 in labor? I made a couple calls & this should have cost under 1/2 that at other authorized dealers, 2 guys even laughed at me. Needless to say I won t be back nor will any of my contacts who I let know of my experience. Give me a marginal waiting room without gouging me on price. Should you use this business make sure you authorize any services so at least you are aware in advance you are overpaying.Service: A/C installation & repair

In for state vehicle inspection and wiper replacement. Dropped the car off, walked down to Target for some quick grocery shopping, car was waiting for me when I got back. Friendly, quick. Call ahead and they ll tell you the best time to come in for your particular auto maintenance needs.

Took my vehicle in due to having a flat tire. The tire was worn out, so ended up needing a new one. They got one ordered and installed same day!! Awesome people and environment! 10/10 recommend Downtown Garage for all your needs!Service: TiresService: Tires

Needed my alternator replaced on my car, and based on the vehicle I drive it s a pretty labor intensive repair. When I brought my vehicle by, the shop told me how much the new alternator costs, and broke down all the steps it would take to replace it so they could give me a reasonable quote. I highly appreciated the transparency, as well as the urgency to get my car fixed up. Repair went well and I couldn t be more thankful for such an honest repair shop. Use these guys if you re in the area, they do great work!Service: Electrical

Downtown Garage used to be my favorite place to bring my car in for service. Unfortunately, it has changed a lot since then. All of the techs I used to bring my car to see are gone now and have been replaced by people who seem less trustworthy. They started charging just to diagnose problems (not even to fix them) and started quoting prices for repairs that are higher than even the sky high prices that dealerships charge. I recommend you steer clear of here.

This garage is incredible. I used to hate getting my car serviced at the dealership because it was always such a challenge to even get an appointment. Getting anything done on my car here is effortless. Eric and the guys have always been really fair, honest, and understanding with my needs. On top of that, everyone is so nice! At Downtown Garage you can tell that they sincerely want to help you, and they they re going the extra mile to make sure you feel safe and confident in your vehicle. Had a vehicle issue pop up on my drive into the area for work. Quick Google search popped up this shop and after seeing all the great reviews took a chance. After having issues with shops in the past taking way longer and costing a lot more than estimated, this was a very nice change. Was able to diagnose the problem, repair and have my car back to me in the same day. Little pricey, but all quality work is and picking the cheapest repairs often leads to more issues. I'll be happy to take any of my vehicles back here in the future.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Was running late. They got me right in. Replaced a valve cover gasket and timing belt. Couldn't repair the leaking tire that was damaged on the way to the shop but they put the spare on for me. Total cost for this job was less than the dealership. Only wish they used seat covers. The new shop manager was especially helpful through the visit but I believe he got into the car with greasy dirt on his uniform and the seat is now dirty. We brought my 2008 car in because my windows were acting up and my engine light was on. As usual, Eric was extremely helpful and patient with me. he took the time to explain the problems my car was having. The staff here is always honest and genuinely care about their customers. They did their very best to be as quick as possible and updated me throughout the day. Overall, impecable experience. There s new staff there. The old staff is still with the company, but in other positions. The new people have no integrity. They inflate prices and tell you it s something that cost $1000.00 and up when it s really something else. I went to two other mechanics after there estimate and both were right. I wish the gentleman with no hair on top and glasses was still there. At least he was honest. Go elsewhere if you want honesty and integrity. Don t waste money on something that s not the issue.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I was looking for an auto shop to change my oil and do some general maintenance on my car since I was going on a road trip from TX to FL. I sent a message on Sunday to Downtown Garage and a couple other places. They were all closed, but Downtown Garage was the only to respond on Monday morning. I am glad I chose them. They completed the job in a timely manner and did exactly what I asked. The pricing was excellent and they didn't try to sell me on anything. They actually said my Ford was in great condition! I'd highly recommend Downtown Garage!!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

Got my bmw diagnosed for a coolant leak only have 65k miles on it. They told me I need to replace a bunch of parts and bill came to be $3500. They will no properly diagnose your car or tell u the correct parts u need. They will put u at a sky rocket price and get u parts u don t need read the reviews people. Good thing is they didn t charge me to check it out. But they could have said the truth and been loyal to change o rings and hoses. Don t recommend!!!

I previously shared a 5 star review of Downtown Garage.After my latest experience I can't, in good conscience, leave it up.Even the last time I was there the guy who sleeps at the front desk gave the distinct impression that anyone coming to the business was bothering him.The good news is that his rudeness this time saved me the $1678 they quoted me to fix my 'cracked radiator'.I came in because of a 'check engine' light. The last time it came on it was a gas cap issue, and I suspected it was the same since it didn't seem to be sealing.They checked my car and told me I had a cracked radiator.Though I'd seen no leakage, nor had my gauges indicated the car was running hot, based on reviews here saying they were trustworthy, I okay'd them to order the parts.No one let me know the parts were in. It took three calls before anyone picked up, but they finally said the parts were in.When I went to drop off my car the guy appeared to be on hold. He did not say good morning when I arrived; no nod, no 'one second' gesture. I went to the waiting room to put my stuff down and came back. He appeared to be asleep. I coughed. No response.I went to do a little work in the waiting room...hearing nothing coming from the desk. When I came in again and tried to speak, he suddenly started 'talking on the phone'.When he got done on the phone, he told mehe didn't have one of the parts. Between the rudeness and the lack of information, I finally had enough and left.I asked for the owner's name and was told it was Rick Stevenson. I would have preferred to let the owner know about the problems at his business directly, but couldn't find a way to reach out to him directly.I took my car to another shop. They looked at my radiator and ran a pressure test. No crack.Now I'm wondering if the $2500 I spent on the last fix at this garage was actually necessary.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, A/C installation & repair

I came with my car at 11am for an inspection. I was told it was gonna be ready in an hour. I waited 2 hours and they hadn t even started so I left. 5 hours later, I m still waiting for them to finish. If you don t wanna wait half a day for a simple thing, don t go there. Pretty sure the good reviews are fakeUpdate: after 6 hours of waiting, I went back to pick my car up because they hadn t even started. Ridiculous

Went there for some unexpected car repair and new tires. They were kind, knowledgeable, and offered very competitive pricing. Chris, the mechanic, is a true expert with over 30 years of experience and worked to get the job done quickly while making sure everything was safe and top-quality. Highly recommend.
