I ve been going here for close to 18 years. I completely trust everyone that works here. They are 100% honest and will never sell you any services that you don t need and have often told me that I can wait 10k more miles. They recently discovered an issue on my Pilot that just went out of warranty. They advised that I take my car to the dealer and the dealer covered the repair cost that they could have charged me for. They are fair priced and perform quality work every time. They guarantee that too, by the way.

If you have a Honda or Acura- this is the place to go. They also own Lexutech- so Toyota or Lexus also.I have been taking my cars there more than 20 years. They are not the cheapest- but are fair and will shoot you straight. Less expensive than the dealer, and I believe better service and repair.

I took a vehicle I was interested in purchasing there to have it looked over. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up at the end of the work day. They provided a detailed list of everything it needed and the recommended services.

Called with a small issue i had with my engine and was scheduled for the same day. When i get there they fixed it in less than 10 mins and let me go free of charge due to the quick fix!! The guy even answered some of my general questions i had about my car. Super quick and nice service!

Excellent service! I had an issue where my brake pad was still enabled when my car was turned off. Turns out it was an issue with a rubber seal that had come apart. The guys at Dealer Alternative quickly found the right part and helped me get the issue repaired in minutes. Good service & a quick repair!

Always good to go. So far they have always been able to accommodate getting work done and not having to set an appointment. Car repairs aren t always on a schedule. ;) Fair prices and good work makes them my go to.

After spending almost two months trying to remedy an engine misfire myself, I took my Honda to Dealer Alternative on 20-January. Other than a misfire it needed some ball joints replaced. Two hours later I get some news, no compression in cylinder 1. They will adjust the lash to see if it has any effect.21-January I get the confirmation, no changes in cylinder 1 other cylinders pretty low as well. Would likely need a rebuild. Its going to be priceyyy. The engine lasted 280,000+ miles, you could say I got my monies worth. I give up on the repairs and inform them i'll be by to pick up the car.22-January I have a change of heart, I talk to Tammy again who went over what to expect, my options and some recommendations.24-January I bring them a JDM engine to swap in.30-January work has already begun, I'm informed about a broken motor mount.03-February I pick up the broken engine and misc part, talk to Steve for a while about race cars, H22's and Type R's. Really cool guy.07-February the day finally arrives, I get to pick up the car. It feels new again,very pleased with all the work they put into it.This was an extensive job, that required allot of parts. I'velooked high and low and cannot find a single thing out of place. I plan on driving this car for a very long time. I'm confident the work they did will be trouble free down the road.Huge shout out to Tammy, thanks for always keeping me in the loop and being honest and friendly. Ya'll probably think i'm crazy for spending a small fortune on a 20 year old Prelude. I will surely be bringing my wifes TSX and my Prelude to ya'll in the future.

I had 2 separate issues with my 2005 Honda civic, a oil pan gasket and a timing belt replacement both were do perfessional ly and reasonable I was very taken by their work ethic.

I just wanted to say that the entire team at Dealer Alternative were a class act. I had a 2015 Acura MDX that needed some things looked at and they were quick and efficient at getting my concerns taken care of! It s like having a brand new car again! Hats off to everyone there. I would definitely recommend this place for anything you need done with your Honda or Acura. Ahhh, this is the place. Fort Worth is devoid of convenient Honda Dealerships especially if you live in Monticello, the hip 7th Street/Foundry District, Lion's Den, or Crestwood. I had a disastrous experience with Honda of Fort Worth and bailed right as my latest new Honda was coming off warranty. Dealer Alternative is staffed with knowledgeable Honda mechanics, friendly people who will talk with you, and they are not only interested in gaining my business but also my trust. I had a great 30 year relationship with the Mechanics at my last dealership but when I moved away I was hoping to re-establish that with a new dealership in Fort Worth. It was not to be, and honestly - Dealer Alternative is 20 minutes closer to my house. They don't have a flashy taco bar, but Velvet Taco is just down the street, along with a half dozen other eateries and coffee joints. Best to call first, they are busy, but the oil change was first come first served and I was willing to leave the car there for the day. If you need it faster they'll work with you. Very worthy business and I hope will be a long association.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

Danny is my mechanic. He cares for my 03 Honda Pilot with 335,000 miles. He knows more about this Honda than any mechanic I have ever known. First time customer. They took amazing care of us. This was the third place we took our Odyssey too. They worked to diagnose the problem. Tried several things keeping us updated through the process. In addition when they took steps to ensure we would have our car over the holiday weekend. I am so pleased and grateful we have found a reliable partner in the care for our Honda. I have no plans to take my business any where else.

I have a 2004 Honda Civic with close to 220K miles on it. I m new to Ft Worth and have been looking for a trustworthy mechanic. I took my car here about a month ago when it wouldn t start. They were both 1)honest and 2) Kindhearted. Considering I m one of those folks who will drive a car till the wheels fall off . I will definitely come back to Dealer Alternative for all my repairs and needs. Great experience. The lady at the front desk, I can t remember her name, but she reminded me of a Bible verse i learned when i was a young boy: A kindhearted woman gains respect. This business is owned by guy named Steve. He and his employees spent almost one hour attempting to fix my ignition switch, unsuccessfully. Then, they put me in contact with a business close by that specializes in such matters and offered to take me there when my car was towed. All in all, you could not find a nicer, attentive group of people. So. If you have a Honda or Acura that needs attention, this is the best one-stop place to go. Simply a wonderful group of people.

Purchased a "new" car in Feb and needed repairs not even a month out. I drove over a city grate that completely squashed the underside of my car. They were very quick (less than 2 days), efficient and friendly. A few months later, my brake light went out and they were in and out in under 10 and didn't charge me. Would definitely recommend this place for all of your auto needs. Not sure if they service cars that are not Honda or Acura but definitely worth a call to find out. Will never take my car to a dealership due to being overpriced. The customer service is stellar. Can't say enough! Thank you!

A big thank you to the people at Dealer Alternative. Called on a Monday with a car not running well that was going to bring my son home from college on Saturday. They said to bring it in and they would take a look...that day! If they needed to order parts they wanted to get going on it. Diagnosed the problem and called me to let me know what it was and the solution. It was not as bad as I had feared and was fixed that day. One relieved parent. Such nice people to work with. I don't do reviews, but this one certainly deserved the effort. I highly recommend them!

I took our 2012 Honda CRV with 120k miles in a few days to have some minor repairs and for DA to give it a once over and see what they thought we needed to do to get another 100,000 miles out of it. I dropped it off about half an hour or so after they opened, and they said they'd take a look at it as soon as they could and give me a call with their recommendations.They called me in about 2 hours and let me know everything that they recommended I do. They didn't recommend anything unnecessary, and even told me that on some of the maintenance I could hold off because they looked at it, and it was still holding up well.They said they would try to get it finished up by the same day which in mechanic talk usually means tomorrow. It was a lot of maintenance items, so I really didn't mind if I would have to get it the next day. Sure enough they had it finished that same afternoon around 3:00.Their prices are very competitive and cheaper than a dealership, and their work is top notch. I could immediately tell an improvement in the car on the ride home.You know how they say if you can find a good mechanic, you better hold on to them? That's this place 100%. So much so that when my wife and I buy our next car, we will probably get a Honda so that we can use this place for any work we need done on it.

If you have a Honda or Acura this should be your place to go. The team at Dealer Alternative will take good care of your car at fair prices. And they work quickly, unlike the actual dealer that keeps your car all day or days.Dealer Alternative has done everything from oil changes to major work, like timing belt replacement, and I ve never been disappointed in their work. I always ask them to give me a list of the work my car needs done so that I can budget for it and they are happy to accommodate my request.

Very nice folks. Had my 2013 Pilot in for timing belt, water pump, tensioner, etc. replacement, and trans fluid. Took about 4-5 hrs. Also (possibly) identified an annoying sound coming from rear-end (shock). Was impressed that they allowed me in the work area to look under my vehicle. Seem like very honest, reputable repair shop. Mike was the mechanic. So far, I'm very pleased with the work done. Will very likely return for alternator replacement in time.

Honest and experienced shop for your Honda. Nothing but pleased with the service we ve received over the last year from these guys. Would definitely recommend to any Honda owner.My wife s Honda Odyssey needed some TLC and was starting to be a problem child (194K miles). Had to bring her in a few times, and the guys at Dealer Alternative did an awesome job.1. A/C wasn t blowing cold air anymore: instead of gouging me for full A/C bleed, refill, and countless other things they found a clogged cabin filter. Could ve been much worse and they could ve charged me just about anything.2. Check engine light came on and engine was running rough. Turned out that the old girl was burning through oil and needed an oil change (maintenance minded still showed 40% oil life). Again, they could ve burned us for any number of things, but didn t.

I recently moved to the area and quickly found myself in need of a reliable mechanic to take care of the routine maintenance of my '04 Acura TL. I am on the road for work (150+ miles/day) and it doesn't take very long for my car to notify me that some particular service is due, so it ends up in a garage more often than the average car. Therefore, it's really important to me that I develop a relationship with a mechanic who, above all else, is HONEST! A quick Google search led me to Dealer Alternative and they had top notch ratings from very satisfied customers (I am now one) Mike at the front desk told me exactly what they found and didn't try to BS his way into additional and unnecessary work. On top of that I was very comfortable in letting them know what work I wanted done and what I felt could wait. There was no pressure or sales tactics to get me to agree to outrageous repairs. At the same time, Mike was very willing to patiently discuss repairs with me, why they were important, what certain terms meant, etc. Next to honesty, I look for a garage that knows my vehicle well and can perform high QUALITY repairs. They where familiar with my vehicle could take it apart correctly without damaging clips, put things back how they belonged and they returned my car without a bunch of greasy hand prints everywhere or broken connectors. They work in a timely fashion, I had repairs ranging from replacing door locks, to gaskets, fluid changes, hood mounts and it was all done in under 2 business days! The icing on the cake would have to be that Scott, the owner, lent me his personal and very nice vehicle because a reputable rEnterprise company could not get me a temporary car! Dealer Alternative will be my first choice for all of my maintenance needs and I have never experienced such an all-around incredible and professional garage. The only complaint I could possibly come up with is the limited space they have for parking, but it is downtown Fort Worth. If you own a Honda it is well worth what little hassle it may be to head downtown, you will be glad you did!

In the 8 years that I ve been using Dealer Alternative, I ve only had incredible experiences here. They don t try to do anything other than figure out the problem with your car in the most efficient, quality, and cost effective way possible. They communicate everything they can as clearly as possible. They aren t in it for any other reason than a love for automotive. If you have a Honda, come here. Don t keep looking.

I've used the shop for about three years now. They are consistently very good. They figure out what's wrong and inform you promptly about what the problem is in the cost of the repair will be. They clearly delineate what needs to be done now and what's optional. They get it done on time and they are just wonderful. The telephone receptionist answers the call on the second ring and is very friendly. What a big difference from the local Acura dealer where you get put on hold and transfered to a "service advisor", go on hold a second time and then the call hangs up on you

I've Been having my 96' Civic serviced here since 1999. It now has 280,000 miles on it. This place is exceptional. Very fair pricing and they specialize in Honda's. They also provide a loaner car if you need to leave your vehicle overnight.
