Beware of the FALSE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! STAR STATE is TOP NOTCH!! They answered IMMEDIATELY, diagnosed the problem, and worked on our truck non-stop until it was complete. Their price was reasonable and fair! The kept us updated every step of the way. They went above and beyond simply repairing our truck. They treated us like family and that goes a loooong way with us! If you are ever in the area and need repairs...LOOK NO FURTHER! Shout out to Emmanuel & Andy. Blessings~ The Kampala Group(Robert)

This shop is awesome! Got towed to them Saturday night along with the alternator I needed for my truck. They started working on it Super Bowl Sunday morning and had me out by noon. Offered to pick me up from the hotel and drive me to their shop as well. Can t say enough great stuff about this shop and crew. Even left my sunglasses in their shop truck and they mailed them back to me! 5 stars and beyond!

Please do your best to AVOID this person. Will take your money and will dissappear after incomplete job. Also will change negotiated deal after disassemble your parts. Horrible company. Incomplete job was done on by Emanuel on September 1st to September 4th. Installed me my old gasket eventhough I paid for new. The whistle sound of exhaust system did not disappear until the new mechanic took all a part and did it again. I told the mechanic that please complete the job your self, however he brought the young learner to do my truck. Please see the attached photo of gasket which I was charged and which was I installed. Great experience and I m lucky I found Star State Diesel. Leaving the Big Bend area in my Diesel RV my AC compressor froze up and broke my belt. Engine quickly overheated. Lucky I had cell service and called around, and got no answers until I Called Star State and Manual answered immediately. He quickly gathered info to help him diagnose the issues and the fixes. Ordered the parts (none in stock) and got them the next morning and then he drove 3 hours to come fix my unit!! Unbelievable response for such a remote job. I could have easily been stranded for a week considering the circumstances. Manuel is honest, knowledgeable and hard working and we really appreciate his effort. If I could give 6 stars I would. Don t hesitate to call this business if in need anywhere near Ft Stockton, Tx ! Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This is an OUTSTANDING shop. The guys, Andy, Emanuel and others are very friendly, courteous and will bend over backwards, within reason, to get you back on the road. They are PRIMARILY a diesel repair, but the mechanics know gas engines as well. I broke down coming into Ft. Stockton and Emanuel and his helper brought enough gas to get me where I needed. In addition I had a flat tire. He was able to plug the tire and get me back on the road easily.Unfortunately, gas was not the issue and it seems I had other motor problems. They helped me get my pickup truck and 27' attached RV trailer to their shop; hooked my trailer to one of their work vehicles and got me to a RV location. All the while the grew was working on my truck. This was 800pmThe shop is new; but the mechanics have been doing road repair on vehicles broke down on I10 around Ft Stockton; so they definitely know what their doing in the shop. There are not enough words to explain how dependable and experience as well as helpful this whole crew is. Oh and the cost is very reasonable compared to other shops. If your in Ft Stockton, TX and need vehicle maintained give them a call or better yet go to their new shop address 908 Orient in Ft Stockton.

During our road trip from Austin to California, our van unexpectedly broke down at night on Highway 10 in Ft. Stockton. Out of nowhere, Emanuel appeared and swiftly arranged for our van to be towed. He provided a ride for our family of six to the nearby motel, and repaired our van the next day. Emanuel is truly a great guy. Thank you!

Finding good honest and genuine machanics are hard to come by. I'm grateful to have been served by Emanuel and his team. We brought our truck in for after treatment issues and was clear from the beginning it was clear this shop was experienced and equipped to get my truck back on the road. They even accommodated my team drivers into a nearby hotel, promised my truck back on the road in 24 for hours, and went above and beyond to deliver while keeping me informed every step of the way. In Ft Stockton looking for a shop? Don't get ripped off by greedy shops. Stop in here you won't regret it. I know this is were my trucks will stop if I'm evere experiencing problems within their service grid. I can't thank you guys enough!Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

Had a blow out bent fender light bar!! Manuel came out to truck stop check it out at 730 am next morning. Got on it repair next day!! Great service great job.

I broke down on I-10 on my way home to San Antonio, and a tow truck driver took me to this place. It was a Sunday, pouring rain, and these guys took care of me and fixed my engine issue in just a few hours so I could get back on the road. They were friendly and speedy. I m so thankful they were there and willing to do the work on a Sunday in bad weather.

Highly recommended, he helped my driver to arrive on time to be with his family for Christmas, from the first call he was very kind and answered all my questions, in 1.5 hour he fixed the truck what in another place would have taken about 5 hours, it was Saturday at 17:00pm and he was still working, he got the parts after hours very fast and very fair with the prices, I will definitely keep him in mind for my next road service in this area.- JCMX TRANSPORT LLC

I have very bad experience from these roadside's thieves.They replaced my truck's starter, but the truck didn't start with the key. He started from the starter, and he told me it might be the ignition problem, not the starter. They charged me $1000 just for replacing the starter. Since then, I was connecting the two bolts on the starter, and then the truck was starting. I took the truck to the freightliner dealership for the issue, and they told me it's because of the bad starter. They replaced the starter and the truck got fixed.These guys are like road thieves. Stay away truckers from them.

I was 15 miles from Ft. Stockton, TX. I had called Star State Diesel and they came right out like they said unlike the other two businesses I called before Star State. They diagnosed what was going on with my Semi quick. They took me to a motel because it was a little late. And the next day got a New radiator and got to work on the truck. And mind you it was well over a 100 degrees outside. If you ever are in a radius of FT. Stockton TX and you have any issues give them a call. They are good people friendly and they care about us Truckers getting back on the road quickly. And they are very knowledgeable about the equipment. Thank you so much Emmanuel, Andy, Carlos for taking care of me in a timely manner. You guys are phenomenal!!!

The team who helped me fix up my car when I was passing through were professionals and got the work done quickly. I would definitely let you use the service again, but hopefully I will have to. My car needed a lot of care and it didn't seem long for me to be back on the road. Thumbs up. This are highway THIEVES. Don't use then at any cost.They me charged me $822 to replace a coolant pipe. And when I called to try and negotiate with the owner. He started cursing me out n threatening to tow my truck.This so far has been the worst experience ever with Roadside.

My truck broke down 5 miles east of Bakersfield tx at 10pm on a Saturday called and Emanuel answered, he was extremely comforting to my situation and star state diesel went above and beyond to get me back on the road. Very fair price and excellent service thank you star state diesel!!!

These guys are awesome! My box truck was broke down at a rest stop and Emmanuel and his team came and took care of the issue. They had to order a part and so while I waited they took me to a hotel and brought me back the next day! Hopefully I dont have another breakdown anytime soon but if i do I ll be calling these guys! Thanks again!!

I was in need of replacing a few tires on my trailer, so I looked up a road service and found star state diesel. Emanuel and Andy came out and assisted me very quickly. I will definitely recommend my colleagues if there in the area with any type of issues, they do it all.

The mechanic that came out was very honest knowledgeable nice and honest. Arrived when he said he would and did a great job replacing my alternator and serpentine belt for a very reasonable price. I definitely advise you to give them a Holla if you're ever broke down in Fort Stockton TX

Best Mobile Diesel Repair service we have ever experienced in 15 years of full-time RVing all over the country. We are SO thankful we found Manny - he saved our trip! Manny is extremely knowledgeable, dedicated to solving and repairing the problem, honest, profoundly nice and honorable, and did his best to keep our costs reasonable and get us back on the road as soon as possible. We had a check engine light and lost throttle power (2008 International SUPER C VT365). Manny came to us and promptly diagnosed the problem, and had fast current computer software to diagnose the codes. Even though the warning light went out when we restarted (this had happened 3 times before we called him and 3 times light came on again and lost all throttle power after going a few miles before we were able to pull into a truck stop) he could see all the inactive codes and checked all the wiring and accelerator pedal before determining the pedal assembly was the problem. He then called all over, trying to find the part (he managed to find the only one available in the state a few towns away). He gave us the option of picking it up ourselves in our toad (we tow a Ranger) to save time and money as it would have taken at least another day or two to get it shipped. We returned with the part at 6pm and he was there to install it and clear the codes immediately. He made sure to go with us on a test drive and checked computer codes again to make sure all was well and codes were cleared. He followed up with us to make sure the problem was solved and we safely got back on the road the next day. Also, after serving 22 years in the Navy, we recognize honor and commitment in others, and Emannuel and this business embody these values and are definitely supportive of veterans. Superb mechanical knowledge, honest, fair, hard working - Manny was the best! Highly highly highly recommend - would give 10 if I could.

Star state diesel is awesome especially a guy by the name Tony. I had a blowout and immediately. He help me to get the job done fixed he is awesome. I will recommend him there anyone at the star state diesel and I will tell all my buddies so that if they re in the area they could call star state again, Tony thank you.
