If more stars could be given, I would give them a 10 out of 5! David is one of the best mechanics we have encountered! Despite the workload he had he immediately squeezed us in and beyond that went out of his way to get us a part more than 1.5hr away to ensure we could be back on the road the same day. We are truly grateful for David. His rate was more than fair but he also took further steps to make sure our truck didn t have any other symptoms that may set us back after leaving! We highly recommend David and his team! Wish there was more guys like him! Thank you so much David!!!!Jermark & Sevill~

I can't say enough good about Cruzziz Diesel Repair. Dave is a master mechanic who helped us in our time of need. We limped into his shop with our motorhome on a Friday night about 4:45 PM. David and his staff stayed past closing to diagnose our problem. He called me later that night to let me know he had sourced the needed part and could have it installed by Tuesday afternoon. During all of our communications David was a professional and true gentleman. He was true to his word and had us back on the road Tuesday afternoon. If you need diesel engine repair he is the guy to go to!

David was quick to call me after I left a message and discuss the symptoms my powerstroke truck was having. He was real patient and willing to educate me on the issues. I brought the truck in and he was able to get it running within an hour. Highly recommend this shop.

We needed some help and advice over the phone on our diesel truck. I sent him some pictures and he advised us how to fix it so we could use our truck. After one shop couldn't fix our truck we had it towed to ft. Stockton to Cruzziz Diesel Repair. After they diagnosed and received the parts, we were back on the road headed home. Great guy that communicates very well back and forth. Highly recommend for any diesel repair. Thank you David.

Brought my class A diesel pusher to Dave for some engine work. Dave did the repairs we discussed as promised, in a timely manner, at a reasonable price. This was very important, as we travel full time and live in our motor home. He also answered all my questions before, during, and after the work was done. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs diesel repairs done. Thanks for the great work Dave!!!

Professional, and really generous. I had to pick up my service trailer on a Sunday, remind you Sunday is family day, and he told me it was okay to pick it up and opened his doors. The guy tried finding all the parts my truck needed, then recommended me to just take it to the dealership due to parts not being at hand. This guy really knows his stuff, and to the lady that said he has beer cans all over, EVERY MECHANIC DOES.

My RV broke down in Fort Stockton. I called this guy and he helped me troubleshoot the problem. I went with his advice replaced both fuel filters and got back on the road. Highly recommend!

My wife and I were headed to Big Bend when we developed an issue with our coolant system. David got us fixed and back on our way quickly. Very highly recommend this young man. Cruzziz truly helped us out when we were in a bind. Truck started dumping radiator fluid while visiting Big Bend National Park right before we were supposed to be with family in ABQ for the Thanksgiving holiday.We had it towed to Cruzziz and he had me back running in a day. We were able to pick it up and get our 5th wheel back on the road to meet with family for the holiday. Great work and great service. Highly recommend if you need diesel service in the area!!!

We were traveling in our motorhome and she quit running in the middle of nowhere. David Cruz repair shop popped up on google search. We contacted him and I m glad we did. He is a great mechanic and really nice guy. He had us fixed and on our way Very fast. If you ever need any repairs on your diesel vehicle and are in his area I would highly recommend him.

David was absolutely the greatest. I had a clogged air filter on my DP, I could not find the part number, but he came to my site, found it, ordered it and returned a couple of days later to replace it. I also asked him a number of questions about my engine and he was able to answer all of them. He is knowledgeable, charges a fair price and does quality work. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

Alternator failed and serpentine belt slipped off as I was driving West on I-10. I slowly limped my Ford 7.3L diesel short bus conversion over to Cruzziz late on a Sunday evening. Homie let me park overnight and got me fixed and back on the road the next morning after driving me to the auto parts store to get the correct parts. I am very thankful David made time to help get me back running 100 percent and on my way without any delay! I highly recommend Cruzziz to anyone with a Diesel engine having issues in west Texas! Went above and beyond for me and for that I am grateful!

We had a radiator leak in our Monaco diesel R.V. David came to the R.V. park where we had the R.V. towed to and offered to do the repair onsite! He was absolutely fantastic.!! The shop AAA towed the coach to would not even call the extended warranty company so we could be reimbursed for expenses. David did it willingly which was amazing. He was working on our rig within an hour after receipt of the radiator. If we could have a guy like him at home, we d be in fat city. He did the work hours before his vacation so we could be on our way. I would recommend him to anyone. His price was very fair and reasonable too. Less than 1/2 of the first place! This town is lucky to have him!

Good diesel repair shop. My peterbilt broke down on i-10, called up and spoke with David. He gave me a couple options on how to fix it and how much each would cost. Had it fixed in a 2 and a half days(broke down on a weekend so he couldn't get parts). Great communication, I was bugging him 2-3 times a day for updates and he answered every time and filled me in. I was very pleased with the service and if I break down near for Stockton again, I will be calling him.

I had a problem with my Chevy Silverado Duramax. David is very knowledgeable and spent the time necessary to help diagnose my low fuel rail pressure problem. Although he was not able to pinpoint the exact cause, he eliminated a number of possible problems with his diagnostic tools. With David's reassurance I felt I could continue my journey home without causing major damage to my engine. We were heading from Austin to LA and sprung a leak in f350 radiator. We found David online while still driving, made our way to his shop while he picked up a replacement radiator. Installed and "on the road again" in a few hours. Great work, reasonable price, and we really appreciate him squeezing us in on the fly!

David was an absolute blessing. We were staying in Lajitas to enjoy Big Bend when my truck "service diesel exhaust fluid system" triggered, along with a few other issues. We spent a day in Presidio to try and get things fixed, but couldn't find anyone to service a diesel pickup and nobody could recommend any where close. I had verified the one thing I knew was important on DEF: verified there was plenty of it. The DEF tank would only take about 2 gallons of new fluid. I called a few places in Alpine and then tried Cruzziz and David answered. He was able to explain the code I got, asked a few questions to diagnose the current state of the truck and advise what to do to ensure the truck made it to the shop. I left Lajitas about noon and made it to the shop in Fort Stockton about 3 PM. David hooked up the truck ran a few tests, confirmed a heat sensor in the exhaust system had failed. I ran my girlfriend to a hotel while he ran to pickup a new sensor. He pulled the old sensor, tested it with the multimeter and confirmed a short. He then installed the new sensor and ran a DPF Regen. He had the job completed hours quicker than estimated the same day at great rate. When I left the DEF light and check engine lights were no longer showing on the dash, the truck was no longer threatening to reduce speed due to exhaust fluid issues. David advised it may try to do one or two more self cleans while driving as the system reset. It ended up not needing to run any self cleans, and the truck was running far smoother after the regen. I would highly recommend David to anyone experiencing diesel issues in the Big Bend Region or Fort Stockton area, his service was definitely worth the drive.

I took my truck to twistedfeatherfor a smoking problem they totaly missed the diagnosis and had to have it towed to david he fixt all the damage 1st shop did and repaired it with just a egr valve . 3 weeks in the motel and later but david took cair of me quickly and at a fair price.

CRUZZIZ IS COMPETENT & TRUSTWORTHY We were passing through when our Ford F-250 Diesel suddenly shut off halfway between Fort Stockton & Pecos and wouldn t restart. Called AAA & the ford dealership. Ford told me they could only diagnose the problem but if I needed a fix it I would have to wait 6 weeks! We called David at Cruzziz and he agreed to look it over that afternoon (Tu) and could squeeze the repair in Thursday. It appeared to be a computer failure with a potential $2000 price tag. Instead David diagnosed a short and had the repair finished in 2 hours by Wednesday afternoon. He was friendly, competent and very trustworthy. Highly recommended!!

I was stranded and David went out of his way to stop what he was doing to come and help me on the side of the road. I felt that the pricing was fair, considering my situation and urgency to get home. He did not require me to be towed anywhere, which saved me a lot of money. He had some of his guys bring the parts out and even called someone for backup help to get everything done faster.

Our truck broke down while pulling our 5th wheel down IH 10. I called Cruzziz Diesel Repair based on his previous excellent reviews. I know now why he has those great reviews. He was able to work on the truck right away and got us fixed by the next day. Very fair pricing for his work and he was very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend calling them if you need diesel repair work in that area.

David helped me out in a real bind as my Ford 6.0 left me stranded in Ft. Stockton on my way back to El Paso... with a child getting sicker by the minute.No start condition, which could be 1,000 different things on that truck.He diagnosed my truck and got me up and running and back on the road while I waited.Highly, highly recommend that anyone needing diesel repair in Ft. Stockton take their vehicle nowhere else!

While we do not doubt David is a great diesel mechanic, and he generously offered for us to park our truck and camper on his property where he has his shop, we were very disappointed that he did not make himself available for the 10:00 am appointment the next day. We called him, rang his home doorbell and knocked on his shop door. He called back in response to our voice message that we were right there. He said he'd be there. We waited 40 minutes for him to come outside. Finally, we left. This was a major inconvenience for us as we were traveling through on our way across the state. We had travel companions who found a place for the night so we wouldn't get separated along our route. We felt our time was not respected. Our plans to sightsee the area had to be cancelled due to the anticipated appointment which never happened after we waited overnight and until noon for.

A 0 star would be more accurate. Unless you have money to burn, stear clear. I m not sure if he s a con artist or just has no idea as to what he s doing.I recommended my husband call this company when he was on his way to AZ delivering a hotshot load. His 2017 Ram 3500 wouldn t drive over 35mph and there isn t anything for at least an hour from Ft Stockton. My first mistake was to go by the 5star reviews.He drove his truck to the shop. The mechanic first said it was probably the fuel pump, and he changed the top fuel filter, which my husband provided. He got a hotel room, that Wednesday pm. The next afternoon, the mechanic called and said he thought it was the fuel injectors & he d have to order from OReilys & it wouldn t be in until 6:30 the next day. Another night in a hotel, and his delivery was supposed to be in AZ the next day. It s now Friday afternoon & apparently OReilys forgot to order the part, but it will be in the next evening. 3rd hotel night. The next day, Saturday....no work done due to a family emergency. 4th hotel night. Sunday comes around and the mechanic says that he needs to order 3 more fuel injectors from OReilys & they d be in Monday pm. 5th hotel night. Monday pm....OReilys forgot the order again. 6th hotel night. Tuesday the truck was definitely supposed to be fixed. He went by the shop unannounced Tuesday around 7pm, to check on the progress. The mechanic wasn t even working on the truck, but somebody else s. He was wondering how he got to the shop as the mechanic recommended his friends as Uber drivers for him. The mechanic said he would have the truck running by 9pm, but said he thought he should get 2 more injectors. My husband was already 4 days late on his delivery. He said he needed to leave that night & didn t have another day to hang out in Ft Stockton. The mechanic called at 9pm & said it was running at 65mph pulling his delivery. The total was $4400, including a $150 inconvenience fee. 7th night. Over $400 I m hotel bills.The next morning he left at 3am, it was running at 60-65mph, but still not right. Just west of El Paso the truck would only run 35mph again. He luckily drove it to the nearest Ram dealership, & they got him in & out with 2 hours.The Dodge dealership ran diagnostics and stated that in over 20years they ve never seen any fuel injectors go out in this model truck, especially with a newer model. In fact, they d only replaced one or two on older models. They did correct the problem though, which a diesel mechanic should have known. The lower filter needed to be replaced. After that was replaced for $300, the truck ran as it was supposed to run and hasn t had any problems since.

He was incredibly helpful. I needed immediate assistance and he took care of me within a few hours I was on my way with a new injector and able to continue my road trip. Very knowledgeable mechanic definite recommend.
