I've known Jimmy and Caleb for over 20 years now, so I may be a little biased, when I say that when people complain about things that are not going their way and take it out on those who provide service for them, well then the problem is you. For between Jimmy's heart attack and trying to retire, the fact that it takes so much to run a full service station today, is practically impossible when customers don't hold up there end of the bargain.So give Caleb a break if he's a little short or little fast, and for those who like to leave their junk laying around there and not pick up on time is another problem that he has to put up with. Whenever Especially those who do not pay their bills!

These guys are my heroes! I was in the area for a trail race and was heading into Ft. Davis with my daughter for dinner. We had a flat on a Saturday evening around 6 pm. A friend helped us change the flat to the spare and followed us into town. I didn't have much hope that we'd find a place open and the next day was Sunday. We pulled up to Bencomo's Motorsport around 7 pm to find the garage door open and a young man working on a tractor out front. What a welcome sight! They were very gracious and helpful, even though they were actually closed for the day. The older man (I'm sorry that I didn't get his name) checked our tire and showed us the damage inside from running on it flat. He said he could get it to hold air but it might not be safe for the long journey back to Austin. His son, Caleb, checked for a new tire. No luck. I said I would be happy to take a used tire that was road-worthy. They had one! They got it mounted, charged us a reasonable fee, checked the air in our other tires and were courteous and helpful throughout the entire service. Shortly afterward, the skies opened up with a torrential thunderstorm. We got lucky! Thanks, Bencomo's! p.s. I asked the older man how long he'd been working there and he said "56 years". His father had owned it and now his son owns it. I love that!April 2021 update: we're still using that tire!

We drove six hours to Fort Davis only to find a major issue with our RV when we arrived. We started to drive towards Alpine in search of parts when we passed Bencomo, right next to our campground. We stopped by to inquire about parts and Caleb offered to come to our campsite to assist, even though they were closing for the day. His help was invaluable and took so much stress off us. Without his help, we likely would ve been searching for a last minute hotel room that night. Thank you!

Total ripoff since the son took over.Took 2 tires in to have mounted, and he wanted $50 EACH! I went to Alpine and had them done for $10 each by Acevedo Tires at 1501 US-90, Alpine, TX 79830

I just called and the nice lady that answered the phone said that they do state inspections Monday through Friday between 08:00 and 09:00 a.m. I visited them today. Very friendly and efficient. Two technicians did all the work, while I had a nice chat with other people waiting to get the inspection done. They also inspect RV's. The reason for only 4 stars is that people were lining up at 07:30 and they didn't start until about 08:10.

Absolutely fantastic!! Cannot say enough positively about this business. Arrived early after a flat tire the night before for which we had used fix-a-flat. This required the mechanic, Sam, I believe, to wash the rim and tire before locating and patching the leak. He did so quickly and efficiently and did not complain as I stuck my nose into his work in order to learn about the ills of fix-a-flat. Simply outstanding service!

I just wanted to say thank you to Caleb over there at Bencomo's. I own my own shop here in Mesa Az. I had a customer of mine take a lengthy family vacation just after I had repaired a handful of concerns before they left. Without getting into great detail, one of the parts i had installed failed while they were crossing through Texas. To our great fortune Bencomo's was the closest facility to get the needed repairs handled. As the part was under manufacture warranty he worked with me and the supplier to get the new parts on the way. Unfortunately the shipping company damaged the new part and the next available one was days away. Caleb understanding the situation came to the rescue. He was able to turn our lemons into lemonade that day. He was able to use the damaged part and the original one to build a solid fix that is still holding strong and i have no doubt will for years to come, i have inspected since the vacation. He was no doubt the only reason my customers (friends) were able to keep moving on with there plans to cross many more states and enjoy a needed vacation. Again thank you Caleb from one pro to the other you handle yourself like i wish all of us did. I hope to shake your hand someday but until then all i can do is write this and hope people can have the same respect for you that i do. Take care friend

Our family was visiting Ft Davis during Thanksgiving and had a flat tire. We did not expect to have any service in town because of the holidays. Luckily, we found Bencomo s Motorport. They realized we were from out of town and were in an emergency, so they fixed the flat immediately and at a very fair price. Very nice and knowledgeable father and son car shop. Great service!

Nicest people, wonderful service at a great family-owned auto shop. On our way out of town from Marfa I brought my car by Bencomo s to check out a tire. They took care of my tire immediately, quickly patched up the hole and made sure the rest of my tires were good to go for the rest of our roadtrip. Thank you for a great experience Jimmy!

Great place ,nice people, well organized, very professional, well dressed.I got a flat tire about to head to big bend national park .after driving yesterday 10 hours to get here, they fix me up quick and got me on the road, I know they are very busy , but they got out of their way to get me on the road.I appreciate their help. This is going to be my future stay if I ever came around here. People in this small town are wonderful

Thank you to kaleb,we are visiting from San Antonio and at 7 at night our battery took a dump,he responded in 10 minutes and replaced our battery in less than 30 minutes. Also this co. Did not price gauge as can be seen at other spots. I would highly recommend this place if you are in an unfortunate situation.

My family and I are visiting from Houston. Out of town having car issues can be a little uncomfortable. The wonderful treatment I received from Jimmy and three sons were a blessing. I would strongly recommend them to help you for any of your automobile issues.

First off my day was ruined because of the restaurants being closed then when I went to go get gas they said the gas pumps weren t working then I came here to Bencomo s Motorsport and it got my metal card stuck and we tried calling and no answer we called the delivery and emergency number no answer then we called a employe and their number was deactivated so I would recommend not using a metal card and make sure you click PAY OUTSIDE before you put your card inside the machine

Friendly staff, knowledgeable and efficient. Got a flat fixed and the other tires checked and aired. All in a timely manner. Couldn t ask for anything more!

They had white lithium grease to apply to a non-automotive bearing! Great to see this in town! A Family Dollar employee told me about them..

One of two gas stations we were able to find in Ft Davis. The other was closed and we weren't going to make it to the next destination. Grateful they were open.

These people are wonderful! The are very helpful and hard working and they got us in late afternoon of a Friday when we were passing through. I would recommend them to anyone!

We were visiting from Houston and I needed a place to take a leak, and this was the only place open. Thankfully I could use the employee one since the ones round back weren't up.
