An extremely helpful and friendly shop. A big selling point is that they offer free towing for customers, which has come in handy, since I had a wheel issue that needed to be taken care of. They do quality work and the front desk employee, Cheyenne, is always pleasant to talk to. My only issue is that they seem to be a bit forgetful and don't always get back to you with updates when they say they will. This is a minor inconvenience, though, and my experience with them has always been positive.

I dropped off my vehicle on a Friday for an inspection, and a few hours later they sent me the list of items to repair for a total of $2,786.09 which I paid in full, and the vehicle was supposed to be ready the said Friday after -noon unfortunately, they were not ready and on the phone they told me that they were missing bolts, it took a whole week. I finally got my vehicle back on Friday of the following week. And surprise, the engine light was on on my return journey. I had to wait until the Tuesday after Christmas to go back and see them, and they told me that it happened because of them, and therefore that they would fix it for free. The next day, he calls me to collect the vehicle, I go to collect it and notice the same problem. So I went back on Thursday morning, and by the way I left a review on the quality of their service, they saw it and to take revenge, they said they would no longer repair it (what was damaged by them) for free but that I would have to pay (for an amount of $282.79) and then made me reimburse all the Uber trips for all the trips back and forth between my home and their garage (for an amount of $86.60 $), finally I had to pay to replace the Weld flex pipe (amount of $150). Which gives us a total of $2786.09 + $530 = $3,316.09. Either I withdraw my review or I pay. I preferred to pay.

This is the worst shop false promises & then blocks your calls my problem is still there supposedly changed fuel pump 3x rt now still leaking gas. So I just send it to another mechanic shop & pay again. So be aware of their false promises and workmanship.

My Cadillac has had electrical and mechanical issues during the last year and a half. Top Auto has fixed all of our problems. Recommend highly.

I don t usually do this but I do want to make people aware of what you are getting into if you start dealing with this shop. After 5 months my AMG is still not ready and they keep on coming up with stupid excuses then get offended when customers get frustrated after ive been told the mechanic is sick 5 times, after supposedly mercedes sold them pre owned parts and a bunch of other excuses. Shannon the general manager is unuseful she never knows anything that s going on with cars, Brandon the owner is as useful as Shannon, always gives his word saying that he will take care of it and never follows up or gives updates to his employees. At this point i asked the shop for my car back and a refund they said they re going to get some legal documents to release my car let s see how long that takes.I seriously do not recommend taking your vehicle here, I work in the industry and I know there is some thing going on with this shop and they way they do business.Pay attention to their reviews 90% are fake and the other 10 are upset customers.

If you re looking for the cheap route this is not the place to go, but if you want it fixed correctly with a 3-5 year warranty that covers what they fixed along with 24 hour roadside assistance for twice a year, then this is the place for you. I told them my situation on how I needed my truck back asap to move for another job and they expedited the process! Super helpful and understanding. Also military friendly.

Absolutely disappointed in this shop. This was the nearest shop once my vehicle began acting up so I took her in. Diagnostic was completed and a tune up was recommended. Once that was completed, I was told it was the turbo, it needed to be replaced. Once the turbo was replaced, I was told that the computer needed reprogramming and had to be returned to the dealership due to special equipment being needed. I was called the following day and informed that a technician performing the service had allowed the battery to drain which in turn, fried the computer. I would be able to pick up my car (after paying nearly 5k) though I would be unable to accelerate rapidly or dive over 60 mph. This was in January of 2023. Staff along with the owner informed me that I would have the computer replaced and installed once it arrived. I get it, the shortages for these components are crazy but still, after waiting well over a year, requesting a partial refund as the vehicle was never repaired, and having been given the runaround and flat out ignored, I have next to no faith in any type of resolution. I see that the shop has good reviews and was hoping that I could contribute to that but unfortunately this experience has been disheartening. Dishonesty towards a paying customer, pretty rough. Though there are mostly positive experiences listed, don't be the one that slips through the cracks because it can and has happened. I sincerely recommend choosing a different shop.Service: Engine repair

Do not take your automobile to this establishment. They didn t finish the work that I asked them to perform and I got nothing but lame excuses during the 5 WEEKS they had possession of my car to have the work completed and finally when I got my car back (after them telling me it was ready) I noticed that NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE ST ALL !!! They hadn t touched it. Now I have my car at a different auto shop finishing the work. I filed a complaint with the BBB and I ll have to sue Brandon and Maggie (the owners) to recoup the money for what I ll have to pay the other shop to fix what they didn t fix. Unless you like being lied to and shoddy workmanship, take your car to them, if you don t like being lied to, lame excuses, and incomplete shoddy workmanship, I advise you to stay away from Total Auto Repair.

This was a disappointing experience for me. I received great customer service by Luis so i really wish i could give more stars because he made sure to communicate with me throughout the day and took very good care of me. Unfortunately, they wanted $720 to replace my alternator for my 2007 Dodge Caliber. And I get it, the price can vary depending on the quality of parts but they really go with the highest quote possible. I had it replaced at The Auto Clinic for $425. I was given options on the alternator of my choice and labor was $200 which I think is fair. They saved me $300 and customer service was more than acceptable. I think good service includes affordable prices and something worth considering.

Always friendly, helpful, and respectful. Took our Mini Cooper to dealership a couple of times before taking it to Total Auto Repair. They fixed my issues without a problem. This time I had a hassle free oil change. Always seem to put customer service above all else.

We PCSd here January 2022 and I always like to go to local shops as they seem to be cheaper and truly care about their customers. Maggie gave me exceptional customer service. The entire total auto repair team treated me great and I felt taking care of. Prices were not too terrible and they provide updates throughout the way. I received a coupon in the mail from this company, which is right around the corner from me! They did a great job on my oil change and the car was in and out in one day. We did NOT receive 5 star service. Im not sure why we were given such horrible service since its obvious good service here is achievable. We took in our Ford Explorer because of engine failure. We scraped together $6000 to replace it and paid it off long before we even got it back. They kept our vehicle for 2 whole months. Im all for being thorough, but there was NO communication unless we initiated it. 2 weeks after getting it back check engine light turned on and now they want $1700 to replace the catalytic converter. When we mentioned we were going to try to get it cheaper from another shop they stated they would void the warranty for the engine repair. Its not even related! Needless to say we wont return and caution to anyone who wants to go here. Enter at your own risk.

They were the best honestly when you're looking for your vehicle to be returned to you within a day or two they get the job done efficiently too! Not too bad with the price either considering parts and labor you know I recommend this place too everyone in El Paso to save you some cash and get your vehicle in a fast action service. I was traveling through El Paso when all the electrics in my car cut out for two seconds. I thought of pushing on but decided I'd better have it checked out. I picked Total Auto off Google Maps in part because of their high ratings and what a great and lucky choice that proved to be. Brandon and the team were incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. They got me right in, diagnosed the problem, and replaced my alternator, battery, and battery cables in only a few hours. I felt a lot of trust that they were doing good work and at a fair price. The service came with a 3 year warranty that can be used nationwide. I am extremely glad I found this shop. Thank you.Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Vehicle Inspection

This is a husband and wife owned company. They both are so kind. The mechanics found more wrong with my vehicle than I was aware of. The owner called my call warranty to ensure they could make the repairs. Thankfully the warranty people allowed the repairs to happen before they actually became an issue. I have been stationed here since 2020 and have went through the ringer with mechanics here! They never do the job correctly and just halfa$$ the labor.I definitely recommend this location! I wish I knew about this place when I first got here.

My dad & I traveled to Mexico back in December 2022. Our trip was cancelled & we re coming back, and decided to stay in Texas to find out my dads truck was trying to give up on him so we took it to a shop. Hence we are from San Jose Ca & don t know any good mechanics so when they fixed our truck, we came back to San Jose to our known & trusted mechanic. To find out the items that we paid $3,000 to get fixed to make it back to San Jose we re not fixed & nothing was cleaned out or replaced. They scammed my dad & took an easy $3K service that would ve been $200 worth of work probably even less. Don t go here if you re from out of town & don t trust them! They don t call back or respond when they claim to give you a call back!!Services: Transmission, Engine repair, Transmission repair, Auto maintenance

Went to get a Squeak/Clunk noise looked at on my truck, which I thought was a wheel bearing. Turns out just a couple of loose bolts on my lift! Very professional and trustworthy shop! Everyone one was extremely helpful and friendly. I really liked that they kept in touch with me the whole time regarding my vehicle and what needed to be done. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family. If my car ever needs to be repaired or just needs an oil change, I will be coming to see them.
