From shuttling me to and from home with a lyft to excellent communication and detailed work, I am a happy customer! A thorough exam was done on my 2003 Honda Element with over 300K miles for an upcoming trip. All the necessary work done before I left. Also, when I got back, it was discovered I had a busted transmission/engine mount leading to a shaking problem when accelerating. Fixed! Thanks Robert & team!

Decent customer service. I usually have no problems when dropping off my vehicle. They do a quick service and return my vehicle in good condition. The 4 star rating was because I asked them to specifically check suspension and torque bolts to specs when dropping off my vehicle. They ignored my request. I think the rep was just having a day. He did not seem to want to be at work.

I came in to have my tire patched. Alex patched it but didn t put my spare back underneath my vehicle. When I came back to have them put the tire underneath my vehicle the manager told me they couldn t because I didn t have an appointment. EXCUSE ME. You didn t finish my service. Absolutely ridiculous. They expect me to come back another day or wait in the lobby for 2 hours with my five kids to complete a service that they didn t do right the first time.Update: it took me a second but I realized - I have options!! So I called Martin Tire and they took care of me right away, didn t even charge me!! Highly recommend Martin Tire for your tires, and time

Joel was AMAZING. I called because my car was not accelerating as it used to. He asked me some questions and narrowed it down to what it could be and said he could have it ready in about 2 hours. The dealership wanted to hold it for a day or two days and charge $150 to look at it. I did want he suggested and it s running like new. Great service!

Visited tons of places today and no one could help due to not having my tire size. Unfortunately I arrived at the mesa location right before closing and just expected a quote but fortunately Robert came and saved the day sure enough he helped us get our tires and assured it was no problem! Will definitely be recommending this location they will take of your car needs! Service was beyond amazing from the whole crew!

Walked in at the last minute.However, we were taken care of.Great customer service from manager Dan and his tech Mathew.Usually most places will turn you away and advised you to come the next day. They didn't.Thank you to Mathew and Dan.

Happy with the service at Pep Boys on Mesa. Customer Service was excellent, Robert was on top of answering my questions and giving me prices to get my a/c done. Not worried about the onset of Summer. I will return in couple of months for other things that need repaired. Thank you Pep Boys!! Thank you Robert!

I went in to replace my clutch which had gone out. Typically that costs between $1200 - $1400 but they charged me $1800. Then when the time came to pick up the car I m told my $1800 bill is now $2200. Turns out the mechanic working on my car took it upon himself to fix a number of other things without my consent. I told them that I would not be paying for anything more than my clutch because it was the only thing I had asked them to do. Luckily the supervisor who worked on my car wasn t there to argue with me, but if I had come in during normal hours I fear I would have been severely overcharged.

Pepboys fixed some issues but not the ones I asked them to investigate. When I went to pick up my car 20 minutes before closing Joel had all the money on the counter and was already closing the shop. I drove less than 2 miles and the check engine lite, the oil light, the Traction control system light all lite up. The temperature gauge showed the engine was overheating. I took the car back and dropped it off at 7:30 AM the next morning with Dan the service write and detailed the issues with him.Dan took no notes and 90 minutes called my cell but didn t leave me any message.At 12:30 PM I went back to check on the progress. Mr car was sitting exactly where I left it FIVE HOURS earlier. I then walked by the garage bay doors and found four of the six associates just shooting the breeze at the desk. Later in the day the manager (Robert) called me. He didn t identify himself until I asked him who he was. As I was trying to tell him of my experience, he interrupted me multiple times. Eventually he RUDELY interrupted me and told me that he had let me talk and he was going to TELL me something things.When I said I am the customer and was not done talking. The manager (Robert) hung up on me.I never told Robert that, the service technician (Pablo) fixed something that didn t need fixing, only that what was done didn t fix the issues I described to Alex (the customer service representative who originally was supposed to take down the issues when I dropped off my car.)I would have paid PepBoys to continue to diagnose and fix more problems but,Robert didn t like the fact that I pointed many his staff has a poor work ethic, did what they want (like Joel) closing down early, (the four guys who were chitchatting at the desk) and the fact that his staff fixes what they could easily identify vs. the problems pointed out by the customer. Robert lacks the skills to motivate his staff. (Go to Discount Tire and compare how their staff works compared to the slugs and sloughs at Pepboys).The inmates at the Pepboys on North Mesa in El Paso, TX run that institution not warden Robert!Stay away, avoid ignorance and apathy, save yourself stress & money and seek your auto care elsewhere.

Robert Lozoya did an outstanding job with talking care of my AC problem. The diagnosis was quick and accurate. He kept me informed of the progress and finished the job when promised. Also, he gave me the Veterans discount. Thanks again to a fellow service veteran!

I would be careful using ANY National Corporate Branded repair shop.They are trained to up sell customers from the minute you walk in.Additionally you can never get a straight answer from these types, once you leave your car there, you are on their time, not regular people time.If they mess up your car, they will charge you, then they will turn their back on you - you will have to take them to court.Best advice is to find a neighborhood shop that is trustworthy and stick with them

Terrible service. Was told by the service tech I was a liar when I told them I was not told of a service. Then when my vehicle was completed I never received a call from the shop. I had to do it on my own.

Worst customer service.., got charged almost 1000 dlls for a diagnostic and for a tune up .., but the problem wasn't fixed now they want to charge me an extra 300 for another diagnosis to see if they can fix the problem that it came with in the first place. They also say it's over in oil and that's it's clean now I go check it oil is black and safe! Like why you guys lying!!! Worst customer service do not recommend bunch of liars and Dan doesn't even help !?

I want to personally thank Mr. Alex for having an excellent customer service and great communication about my car and details, what was needed to be fixed when and how. Also had very much patience with me as of to how many questions I had and me not knowing very much about cars, he never once not told me what I needed to hear and explained everything broadly and with excellence so I understood everything to the core. Very well professional service! Mr. Alex gladly helped me and assessed my car needs to the max. I would totally recommend anybody who needs their car problems fixed or needs questions answered directly to Mr. Alex because he will gladly make sure you leave with a good state of mind on leaving your car in good hands. I also thank the technician for working on my car and doing a very good job in making sure my car situation was fixed correctly. It took a while for my car to be done being worked on, but I completely understood since I know good things take time. They gladly took and dedicated great time and effort to fixing my car and making sure it was perfectly done. Thank you very much !

A little late on this review but didn t forget about it. First Do not recommend coming here. I went in for an oil change 2 months ago and to rotate my tires. Well during my oil change the bottom of my shield guard to protect the engine wasn t put back on properly. The little plastic things were not even put back on or were barely put on how I found out I was taking a 14 hour drive to Oklahoma the next day and heard some scrapping on the bottom half way through my drive and glad thing I had some rope to hold it up but still having to pay 200+ for a new one is outrageous all because of their mistakes. Second thing my tires thinking you know rotating my tires they would take the initiative to tell me about my tires if they are absolutely with no doubt, needing to be changed. I realized after taking my 15 hour drive to Missouri my two front tires were looking flat. I have driven at this point 20+ hours with tires that were down to the rim by the grace of God found a little mom and pop shop that changed my tires but once again 200+ for two new tires that I could ve replaced somewhere affordable but I had to make my drive back to El paso that day and needed them. All in all, horrible service, respect, and really just wished mechanics car service wise would have the decency and generosity to inform people about their vehicles and to return them exactly how they received it, even better.

Honestly aside from the prices they did a good job, I had to get my car towed to their shop and they called me when it was ready for pick up. The prices were high. if I did not have to pay for towing and diagnostic again, I would have gone with someone else. but the staff was very polite and professional.

There were 3 mechanics standing around talking while I sat waiting in my car for someone to fill my tires. How lazy can someone be that they lack any sort of customer service or sense of urgency.

Customer service was perfect. They did a diagnostic and gave me advice about how to proceed. They did not push me to get service done with them because my vehicle had a much bigger issue that they could not help with. So, they advised me to give the bigger issue priority.

Absolutely awful service. I was in need of replacing the alternator on my 2003 Ford Escape. Took my car in at 10:00 yesterday morning and was told, "okay we can get you in." Of course, they failed to mention they wouldn't get me in for another 4 hours. They then call me around 2:00 stating that they looked into it but couldn't do the replacement because its "too rusty in there". What does that even mean? Do y'all only work with cars 5 years or younger or something? Mechanics deal with rust all the time. Absolutely zero excuse for them to not do the work. Lazy mechanics and awful customer service.

Great Service. Much appreciated because they are always quick and they can fix the problem. Believe me Pep Boys is a little pricey but if you need to have your car fix and running PepBoys at the Mesa is the most reliable and best service.

Very bad experience. All I needed was an oil change and state inspection. Set up an appointment online 3 days in advance. Arrived and was told the system shouldn t have let me make an appointment and then I would need to either reschedule or wait multiple hours. I rescheduled for the next day with the associate who told me what time would be best. I show up the next day 15 minutes early for my appointment and rudely get told that other people also have appointments in front of you and I still need to drop off my car and pick it up in a few hours which I wasn t able to do. (This is the whole reason I scheduled an appointment in the first place!) The bad time management of these employees should not be my problem. Left and went to Oil Changers down the street and they were MUCH nicer and more accommodating even without an appointment. You definitely have other options when looking for a garage on the west side, so definitely don t choose this one.
