This place is such a scam. I brought up all the issues I had with the car. The biggest to the smallest. They proceeded to do all the small changes and later try to figure out the biggest issue. After they already completed (supposedly) all the small fixes they told me the biggest issue was going to cost a lot of money, essentially making the car almost useless. They try anything to grab money from you. Then he makes a joke saying I would have saved you money and not even touch the car if I knew what the big issue was. You didn t try looking for it. I don t even think they did what I paid for them to do. Now I spent money on a car that I can t even drive for safety reasons.

This is by far the best transmission shop around, my Nissan Murano suffered a transmission breakdown just after 6 months getting it, went to these guys and they gave me the best price ever, they don t beat around the bush, they tell you straight up if it can be fixed or you need a new one. I had to get a new one and it was the best deal on the market. Trust these guys, they know what they doing.

They did what they promised in a timely manner. Was polite and kept me posted on the work being done. Transmission repair is not easy or super cheap. If it cost a little more than you thought,well that's because it's good guaranteed work. Thanks guys at Alamo.

To say that Sam took care of me is an understatement. I called while I was on I-10 coming into town explaining what was going on. Sam said bring it to me right now, I couldn t bring it to him at the moment had to get to the camp sight. Told him i would be there at 8AM the next morning he took down exactly what i needed done, my name and my number. I m an early riser and was there at 7:40AM. Sam beat me there and was waiting on me. Checked out my transmission went over and beyond on making sure i was ok and if there was anything I needed. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this kind, caring and compassionate shop for anyone s needs. It wasn t like a shop visit to me. It seemed to be like friends meeting up (when i didn t know the guy) other than a big shop wanting money.

They told me I had to change my whole transmission (quoted me $3,600), went to another place and it turned out to be that the mass air flow sensor was just loose and I had to just tip the guy. I do not know now if they actually filled up my oil.The guy was really nice though.

I paid $5413.50 and they took my seat out, my catalytic converter is gone, my key with the chip is gone plus 13 other problems it didn't have when it went there. I'm looking for a good lawyer.

Excellent service at great prices. Have been here several times and there have been times where all I needed was a diagnoses for my vehicles and there was no charge. When needed, there was no charge for them to tow my car to their shop and they repaired it in a timely manner. Highly recommended.

Beware!!! The negative reviews speak for themselves. I m surprised this place is still open. They are probably okay for very basic repairs but definitely don t expect anything to be done correctly. They did significant damage to the crank shaft of my vehicle and when the owner was approached he claimed he bought the business from someone else and it was the previous owners fault. If they don t have the technical skills to do a basic job correctly they need to be honest and let a more experienced mechanic do the work. This place is slimy at best.

STOP IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR VEHICLE DO NOT BRING IT HERE The #1thief in this place will sweet talk you just to rail you in and take your money. Your vehicle will not be in good hands. Take it to the dealership or somewhere else where there is INTEGRITY. THEY DONT HAVE ANY SHAME. I NEVER WISH NO BUSINESS BAD BUT ON THIS ONE ,I HOPE THEY GET WHAT THEY DESERVE. THEFT OF SERVICE TO MANY CUSTOMERS BEWARE STAY AWAY

I have a 2002 Ford Escape all wheel drive (4X4), while driving it just did not move forward any more, reserve did work, I was a block from my house and I was able to make home.There was no change for diagnosis, I was shown the broken part of the transmission, I did not understand what I was looking at, but still, I got to see it.The cost was agreed on and the job was completed, I would say that the work was done in hours, but we had to wait for the parts.The staff seems knowledgeable they know their business everyone was polite and professional.Service: Transmission

Had my 1988 jeep towed here by this shop I know what was wrong with it. Told the owner what it was. my clutch went out which I know it would he quoted me a price but I know I had some leaks in the transmission he told me everything I know what was wrong with it without me telling him had him do the job took a week which was good because I didn't get payed till the end of the week any way he said he would start the work any way coast more then I expected but reasonable he worked with me and now my jeep is running good thxs Alamo Transmission great job

Please don t take your vehicle there , they are nice at first but change when they are done. I took in my truck and it came out worse . Worse place ever . I lost 1,500 and my truck is sitting collecting comb webs . Hey I ll use my truck for Halloween

Awsome and fast service. Took our pick up truck for transmission repair about 2 weeks ago, and so far so good, haven't had any problems as of now. Truck was fixed in the time frame that we were told and for the amount we were told. Mr. Azaar was very polite in explaining everything , and even worked a little with our budget. My daughter s transmission went out just outside of El Paso, on a cross country trip to her new job on the east coast. Her car was towed to Sam at Alamo where we agreed that another low mile recycled transmission would be installed. She was assured by Sam that the work would be completed within a week and paid him up front for the work to be done. After staying in a motel for over a week, and the work still not completed, my daughter had to rent a car and go on to her new job.My daughter was now many states away from El Paso, as was I, and we called Sam for updates on the work at least every two weeks. Sam repeatedly told us he would call us when finished or to call him back in a week.Sam had the car for six months(August 2022 until February 2023) continually telling us he was working on it, or needed a specialist to come in on the weekend to diagnose the problem, or couldn t work on it because of the holidays, or on one occasion another employee stated Sam was out of town for two weeks(we called the very next day and were surprised to talk to Sam-at work)Finally, after six months, we had another mechanic/shop pick up the car and check it out, where it was determined Sam had installed the wrong transmission for the car.Sam refused to acknowledge this mistake, refused to correct his mistake, and refused to refund the thousands of dollars we had paid him.Service: Transmission

My husband took his transmission to get rebuilt there. At first it seemed like it would be a good option. They said they would have it in one day. It cost us $1,400 but they only wanted cash no card. That was kind of iffy. But the thought of it being done in 1 day was good. After his transmission was rebuilt he had to return 3 times with leaking problems. On the third time a cable that had to be replaced and the owner said would take a few hours, took two weeks. My husband kept calling to see if it was ready so I could pick it up but the owner was giving him the runaround. When my husband came in from working out of town he went and asked for his truck. We are not satisfied with their services at all, and it seemed liked something else was wrong with the truck after we got it back. Looking at the reviews, we are not the only ones. We should have read the reviews before taking it there.Service: Transmission

If I can give Sam 10 stars I would! My boss flew to El Paso to get a vehicle out of impound. After the impound said it was drivable, there turned out to be some issues. Sam went above and beyond to help him get on the road in 24 hours! So very thankful!!Services: Transmission, BatteryServices: Transmission, Battery

I ll be picking up my Motorhome in Sept when it possibly cools down , I ve had it there for two years!!! This guy comes up with every excuse in the book , total rip offs and will see if I make it home to Florida, I ll be most likely suing this clown outfit and I ll try to shut them down with my judge son in law !

The worst experience I ve had with a mechanic. I ve already taken my truck to get it fixed 3 times. The owner said he would install new one the first time but only rebuilt it. 2 days later it broke down. Then he was trying to charge meanother $950 for that driveshaft and the pinion. I took the transmission the last 2 times to get it replaced the second it lasted 3 days and the 3rd time it last only 2 days. Terrible service the owner is a liar.Service: Transmission

Had my Dodge Durango transmission rebuilt at Alamo Transmission and it was one of the biggest mistakes of my life taking it there. After the repair i had to return about eight times due to problems with the transmission. So finally they decided to rebuild it a second time. They cut my exhaust pipes and re welded it back, looked like a 5 year old welded it. I had to take it to a muffler shop to have the damage fixed, they also forgot to re install my 4x4 axle prop shaft. When i went back to the shop to look for it they almost threw it away with there trash because they did not know what it belonged to, luckily it was laying in the shop floor they also forgot to re- install my transmission dust cover which is now missing. Long and painful journey with this shop avoid them they do sloppy work and there mechanics are not ASE certified. Ended up having the transmission rebuilt by a different shop.

A COMPLETE RIP OFF!! I took my truck to this shop because there was a strange metal to metal scraping sound which came from the middle front of my truck. They told me I had a bad up joint and my brakes were bad. Which didn't fix the problem. I took it back in then they told me I had a bad clutch and that they I had the wrong air compressor for my truck. At the end they didn't fix the issue I wanted fixed. I ended up paying 1500 in total. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I took my truck to another shop and they had other problem fixed that same day. It turns out I had a bad differential. Alamo transmission was a big headache and a waste of money.

Had a transmission fixed on my Cadillac twice with these guys the second time they left my car with no oil. And didn t fix the leaks that i had paid them to be fixed, took it back again they LOOKED at it said there was not any. needless to say about 3gs I had to take it to a reliable mechanic to fix their problem. last time doing business with you guys.

On November 1 2019 I took my van because if a loose alternator wire that was killing my battery. After one day they told me it was ready. I'm thinking at the most I would pay about 150 dollars. The bill was 775 dollars!! I could not believe it. They couldn't justify the the amount of labor to charge that much.They didn't install any parts only some electrical tape. I'm no dummy I am capable of fixing my own van but I just didn't have any time since I was leaving town. The guys name is Alex. Be careful and hold on to your money and go somewhere else. These guys will rip you off..

BEWARE OF THIS SHOP, Mr. Azzam will ask for cash only claiming that his card machine is not working, as soon you give him cash he will make unlimited number of excuses why your vehicle is not ready, and he will ask for more money if you want your vehicle sooner, and then again more excuses why your vehicle will never be ready. My vehicle has been in his shop for 10 months .

My transmission went out so I took it here to be fixed. I got my car back late and the engine cover was missing. That was back in July it s now October and the transmission is grinding slipping and smoking when I drive. I paid for a NEW transmission not a rebuild or repair job, NEW. You will be reported to the BBB. And as far as the 3 year warranty... right, you will fix this I will not be paying any not services or parts or I will sue you.Service: Transmission

My mom dropped off her vehicle here 2 weeks ago. They told her that it would be ready in a week tops. They said it would be ready the next Friday. Friday comes around and they pushed it to Sunday. Sunday comes around then they changed it to Monday, then Tuesday, and now on Wednesday they said it was ready to pick up. They said they would have it ready by noon on the dot and they just need to test drive it for 20 min. My mom gets off work at 2:00 so you would think that would be enough time, right? WRONG! We pull up at 2:30 and they re STILL test driving it. The guy here said to come back in a hour and my mom was not having it, so we parked in front and waited. It s been 2 whole hours and we re still waiting. Im very upset at this inconsistency. If you don t know when the vehicle you re repairing will be ready, don t give the customer a said date to come by and pick it up. Very nice people, don t get me wrong. I just wish it wouldn t be delayed as it was.Service: Engine repair

Needed a new transmission so i decided to give them a chance. The owner made it so convincing that it would be done soon, three months later i pick it up, drove it for a day and the transmission went out again. So i took it back to get it replaced and now its still leaking and im waiting for them to fix it. Its a brand new transmission so i don't see why it should be leaking. I'd recommend doing your research and try not to get scammed
