I'm a loyal customer at this Midas location for the past several years now. I went in to have my brakes worked on this past Saturday (2/3/18). I was provided excellent service and was even given a $35 dollar discount! I was also informed that while they were working on my brakes, I had a nail in one of my tires. The crew also fixed my flat for free! I'm so appreciative of the staff and of Midas. I'll never go anywhere else!

This is a five star Midas. They are experienced, give good service and are especially good on problems not very apparent. I had electrical problems that were burning out bulbs and causing me to drive without signals. They searched until they found problems and fixed them...at a very reasonable price I might add. My hat is off to this Midas.Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Auto maintenance

Jose is always nice. I received prompt service and I was in and out with my state expection. I prefer having my oil changed with them over the Nissan dealer. Sometimes my wait is longer but they do a good job.

My mother in law took her car last month to get her AC fixed and they told her that she had a three month warranty in case it messed up again. It broke two days ago and she took it in and they refused to fix it. The only AC technician they have named Isaac checked it out by himself and called my MIL over to hear a noise that the car WAS NOT making before he checked it and then started getting upset with her and told her that he wasn't going to fix her car anymore. The manager was no help either. He told her that warranty was just something they tell their customers they have but don't really have it. Waiting to hear back from Corporate!

Highway robbery! My partner and I ran into some car troubles because of the flood in South Texas . Needless to say that the water got into the engine oil , air filter and spark plugs . However , the car was still running making a clicking sound . The manager told me that they will try to do everything in their power to save my car . Because I live 244 miles away ; I was desperate to get it running properly again in order to avoid getting stranded in middle of nowhere . The sparks and AC filter were changed and the oil was drained and replaced while added with oil additives all for the price of 485 dollars! And they still wanted to charge us more and attempted to get our credit info to see if we would qualify for their payment plan . Before I left San Antonio ; the check engine light went off ; I went back and they did another diagnose check and told me that it was just a sensor error . Meanwhile; the mechanics down at my hometown are saying we were taken advantage off by the price and work MIDAS did . According to my mechanic/s MIDAS ONLY DID A TUNE UP BUT STILL DID NOT ADDRESSED THE PROBLEM PROPERLY FOR THE PRICE WE PAID . And my car is still making a clicking sound and the check engine light keeps going off .I don t believe my review will get us back the money we wasted but I do hope it sheds some light on the shady business tactics this company plays by taking advantage of people s desperate time in need . We did some research on the business and it turns out that MIDAS has reputation for not being transparent. Even the family that swore by MIDAS came back the next day furious because their car troubles were not addressed properly either . Lesson learned .

I got my brakes done here a year ago and soon after had squeaking issues. Brought the vehicle back and they checked it out just to tell me nothing was wrong. About a few months later it got worse so I took my vehicle to another mechanic who pointed out my rotors were glazed and my new brake pads were rusted. Not happy with cheap padsService: Brakes

My mother went to them the last 2 times for oil changes and both times was charged for extra oil. Then went to get her breaks checked and they tried to scam her to get both front and back when the front breaks had just been done elsewhere. Very bad business. Do not go there especially if you dont know much about cars. Sad practice from a brand name you would think be honest.

I went in to this location because I was hearing a rumbling type noise from my vehicle. Come to find out some plastic cover from under the car waa falling off. Front attendant took me to my car to show me...they went ahead and secured the plastic cover and when I went to pay Joe just said he was charging me with a hand shake. Thet could have taken advantage and lied to charge me for something else and they didnt. They now have a loyal customer in me.

For an oil change or Texas inspection, adequate service. For anything more complicated such as diagnostics or significant work on your vehicle, I would go elsewhere. Young and likely inexperienced technician took a long time to look at my vehicle, did a very poor job of explaining what he was doing to diagnose my car's issues. I know that part of it is that I don't speak the language of auto repair all that well, but shouldn't the folks who work there expect that? I was also promised a phone call with an estimate of cost to repair the vehicle's cooling system and never got a call back. Finding a good mechanic is always hard, but finding a place NOT to go is a bit easier. I won't be going back considering all the other options in the RGV.

My dad took my mom s truck to fix from heater core they messing up with the gauges and they don t want to take the responsibility for their mistake the lady wants my dad to pay for their mistakes of messing with the gauges this is RIDICULOUS. And be careful with the RATS! Check your vehicles before you pay.

On my last visit, I brought my car in to find out why the battery (under warranty) was not holding a charge. They did some testing, and eventually faulted me for it because of "aftermarket headlights" (which use less power than stock) and an aftermarket horn. They offered to sell me a BIGGER ALTERNATOR to generate more power. Knowing this was a load of BS, I took it to an independent shop for a second opinion. Turns out the problem was, in fact, a faulty battery. It was a simple fix, but they wanted $200+, they intended to commit warranty fraud, and they blatantly lied to me. Horrible way to run a business. I am appalled. You have lost my business for good.

WARNING DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THESE PEOPLE!! Me son went in for an oil change and an inspection and left with a missing serpentine belt that they said was torn and wanted to charge $120 to replace! Called to complain and was basically told by mechanic that it was his word against mine! Went in to speak to owner/manager and she denied any wrongdoing and offered to ahow me proof with video which she failed to do saying that it was because she didn t know how to work the computer. They also failed to show me the missing piece saying that he had laid it inside the hood!

Warning! If you dont know about cars and their problems please do not bring your car here my girlfriend went for a change of oil and they told her that she needed a change of motor mouths because they were broke they wanted to charge her 350 dollars for that after that i took the car to my mechanic guy and he said that it was a lie that they were perfect i dont know if this company is not getting enough bussines but trying to make money with people concerns arent the right way to make money. If you have a problem with your car please go with a real mechanic not with a company who just change oil ( this was the second time that they told my girlfriend about this problem)

Very UPSET we have got our oil changed 5xs in the past and paid 45.00 ONLY. Today our son went to change his oil his 1st time at Midas ONLY because it was close to his work! They charge 97.00!!!!! And put the WRONG OIL and a CHEAPER OIL! so he has to go BACK on his lunch and doesnt even get a discount! Why was it 97.00!

Overcharged for shoddy, leaking oil change. Asked for lowest option and was told there was only one option..the highest of course. Full synthetic on a Sentra :/ Asked to have the same oil I previously purchased at another Midas and they said there was no record and it was not noted on the previous sticker (which it was, these guys even left in on the windshield for me to see afterwards! And they didn't put a new sticker on!) I spent $67 before going out of town to find the oil all over the garage floor this morning after travelling over 700 miles. Thanks, Midas.

Very unprofessional. We were treated horrible here. I would never recommend this place. Never have we been treated so poorly. We are business owners and I would never allow my business to operate the way this location is operated. Customers are very important, and honesty is KEY.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. THEY CHARGE 900.00 FOR A BRAKE JOB. SO SAD THAT THIS BUSINESS MUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND CAUSE SUCH AGONY TO PEOPLE. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Don't walk! Run away from this shop!Waited two hours for a wheel alignment.Only For workers to tell me that they lost the keys to the truck on the lift. So they couldn't take my truck.

Worst ever wanted to charge 300$ in labor for spark plugs. And. 2,000$ for tie rods and ball joints
