Amazing service! Quick & reliable team.Had transmission problems and some other issues on a ford focus. They started working on it same day. I didn t expect the turn around to be so fast and fair pricing compared to other mechanics I checked in the area. The owner keeps you updated & the team seemed highly motivated. Would definitely recommend these guys. I don t think I could ve had a better experience with any other shop.

I was SHOCKED to see how this mechanic worked. The fact that this mechanic shop sends you pictures in real time and keeps you updated with every single thing they do blew me away. The boss (Jacob) was very friendly and very knowledgeable he made my customer experience unforgettable. There were no surprises and everything was explained thoroughly. I would HIGHLY encourage you to bring your vehicle here. You WON T regret it!

Have taken my car to this shop twice for repairs and will return for any future work needed. The owner and staff are amazing! They do the work right and get it done quickly! They make sure to call and keep you informed of what's going on. Prices were a lot more affordable than other shops that I called. Highly recommend.

I wanted to take the time to thank everyone at J&J s for such great service! It was refreshing to be around people who genuinely just want to help! At J&J s when they tell you they are going to run every test and make sure they do everything they can, they mean it! They were super communicative and would keep me updated with texts and images of what they were doing as well as showing me what the prior issue was. They don t mind answering questions, they are very responsive and on top of their work! So glad I was told about this place, will tell others to come check this place out when they re needing anything done from oil changes to part replacement! Thank you guys for doing what other mechanics couldn t! Y all are greatly appreciated!

I went to get my brake pads replaced a few weeks back. They did an amazing job replacing and suggesting parts. I was updated throughout the day and had all my questions answered . They had my car service done the same day. Highly recommend!

I have been going to J & J for over 3 years. Jacob is awesome. He keeps you up to date every step of the way and even sends pictures of the progress. Great pricing, great service and highly recommended.

I've never had a mechanic as straightforward and communicative throughout the entire process. Received text updates regularly, and was able to see parts removed from the car. Something I haven't personally had before. Fixed my AC with a good turn around, and it works better than ever!

I call this mechanic shop and ask if they work on carburetors. They tell me yes so I take them my 86 mustang so that they can install a carburetor on it. They quote me 120 for installing it and obviously calibrating the carburetor..they call me the next day to tell me that the car is ready but when I start it it's revving at 2700RPM's!!!!! I tell them that it's NOT normal for the car to be so revved, so they tell me that Jacob" will fix it". I get a call the next day and they tell me that the car is ready but when I get there my bill went up 120 dollars...no parts were added or anything like that. They charged me more money for something he should've done right the first time. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS PLACE. Not ONCE did ANYONE make any recommendations on a how the problem could be fixed...NOT ONCE. If the owner would've called me and given me options I wouldn't be writing this bad review. I had already replaced fuel pump,fuel tank,all they had to do is replace the carburetor. Now if there was other issues that could've caused the problem,why did YOU not call me and advised me?

Excellent customer service. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Owner was good on his word and as per estimated amount quoted. The office was very clean and smelled very nice. Great job and very pleased!

Javier and his employees literally saved me THOUSANDS of dollars, and I am so thankful for them!I took my vehicle to another mechanic shop and was told I needed the timing chain replaced. The job required me to leave my vehicle behind 5 to 7 working days.I purchased the timing chain kit, but instead of going back to the original mechanic shop, I went to Nietos (J & J).When I explained the situation to Javier, he quickly jumped in my vehicle and took it for a test drive. Without hesitation, he assured me it was NOT a timing issue.I left my vehicle, a few hours later, he not only called me to let me know it was ready to go, but he also sent me a video of where the actual issue was.I can't thank Javier and his employees enough! Again, thanks to their knowledge and perseverance, not only did they find the actual problem, but they also saved me THOUSANDS of dollars.

Got my break pads replaced, took about an 30-60mins longer than it should have been, but they got the job done for that 3 automatic stars and a thank you! As an overall experience, see below.Constructive criticism on experience: In the event you need to wait for your vehcle, don't expect much, its dirty and what not, but waiting area has A/C at least & dirty sofa.When it's lunch time no one is there to help, they all stop what they are doing (in my case my vehicle was left halfway finished) to go eat and I get it its break time, but everyone at the same time instead of gradually? (also most workers are cussing around most of the time, but you handle that with a grain of salt if it bugs you or not) Besides me, multiple people were waiting there for several minutes during this time, I also saw various potential clients come and leave due to them not being help because everyone was eating on the next room, so make sure you go early maybe before 1pm (I'm sure it varies) to avoid this inconvenience and maybe just drop it off if you dont want to be uncomfortable there.

Left a light on in my car. Called, he arrive within 10 minutes. And jumped my car and I was back on the road. Very friendly and even remember me from year ago. Perfect service.

These guys here are very honest people. I often see people trying to rip people off, but they were honest about pricing, and didn't have hidden fees afterwards.I'll be taking my car needs here from now on

Had a great experience here. Went in for an oil change, immediately was helped right when I pulled in. The workers are quick and get the job done so you can be in and out. The owner is very friendly and I can tell that he likes to truly work with his customers and run a good business. They even checked my tires and brakes and let me know of a nail stuck in the tire so it seems like they really pay attention to detail here. I'm planning to definitely return here for my auto needs. Forget the rest, stick with the Best! J & J Auto Service is the place to go for your auto needs. Nice friendly atmosphere, good and honest mechanics. Ask for Jacob, he is knowledgeable and skilled in the auto repair business with many years of auto mechanics experience. He will NOT disappoint you and will definitely do the best to work with you to get you back on the road at an affordable price. My intake manifold plenum exploded and vehicle caught fire, Jacob and his team repaired it to the point where you can t even tell there was a fire on the engine bay. Posted pics of before and after incident.

Great customer service. He's upfront about everything. There's nothing shady going on here. Took care of my wife's GMC Terrain SUV in 2 hours. That's fast service. I'm definitely going back for all my mechanical needs.

I was having issues with my A/C cooling so i brought it to J&J's after seeing the reviews. I liked that they made it easy to be accessible by taking down my number and staying in touch with me via text as well as sending me pictures of progress throughout the time my car was there. I also appreciated them following up and asking how the A/C was working afterwards. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is that I would have liked a better estimate of the time length and a price quote prior to me leaving my car there. I was told it would be ready by the end of the day on a Monday and it didn't end up being ready until Friday. I had to make alternative arrangements for transportation for work. I also would've liked an explanation with the photos. I appreciated them but I had to ask what the photos were depicting. Overall, however, regarding the quality of work, they did a great job with the A/C. It has been working well since, especially in this summer heat.

Took my vehicle to J and J Auto Shop and it will definitely not be the last. Great service, quick turn around and decent prices. I thought it was going to take atleast 2 days and by the end of day one, I was called that the vehicle could be picked up in the morning. Really recommend them! Jacob and his crew did an awesome job!

Jacob and his team are the best there is. I brought my car in for suspension work and they finished within a days time. They send quality photos of the work done to your vehicle to keep you updated. There s no place I trust more than this shop to get quality work done at a fair price. In the past I ve been screwed over by sketchy shops who overcharged and damaged my vehicle for me to hopefully come back. Since I m young I was scared for the same thing to happen again, but I saw the reviews and it put my mind at ease. None of that wild bs here at this shop. I can say without a doubt Jacob values his customers and doesn t make excuses. I m grateful I found this gem of a shop. Also! They do inspections as well as engine/transmission swaps! There lifts are quality ones that don t use big ramps so it s perfect for lowered cars like mine or any vehicle to get on easier. The reviews are right this place is awesome! Compared to other shops that charged me $225 for a diagnosis for my ac, J&J charged $75 and figured out my compressor was overfilled with Freon and had my ac running again in just 30 minutes ! Very honest man, good prices and fast fix highly recommend to anyone.

My husband contacted this shop and spoke w/Jacob in regards to the air conditioning in our car. It was not cooling. My car was in & out and the air conditioning was working great! I found it to be inexpensive compared to other places I had called. Other locations were charging a ridiculous amount just for the diagnostic testing alone. Jacob was very courteous and explained what they did on our vehicle. He also told me what precautions to take & do to prevent future expensive repairs to our vehicle. Not many shops do that. We will definitely be going back for any future services needed on our car.Service: Air conditioning

I normally take my car to the Ford dealership but I was tired of their TERRIBLE service. I ve taken my car to the Ford in Edinburg and the one in McAllen and I will never go again. I needed my car fixed ASAP and all the reviews for J&J were great so I decided to take a chance and bring my car to them. As soon as I pulled in, they greeted me and helped me right away. Everyone working there was friendly and I already felt like they cared more about my service than Ford did. J&J went above and beyond with their quick service! My favorite thing about this place is that they answered all my questions and didn t make me feel dumb for not knowing. As a female, I feel intimidated bringing my car to any shop but Jacob and everyone else at J&J helped ease my fears and were happy to explain. I will definitely be returning for all my vehicle needs! Mr. Jacob and his crew were nothing but extremely professional people. They were able to help me with the maintenance of my truck and were able to diagnose another issue while checking the truck as well. I will definitely be going back to his shop for any mechanical issues as he has earned my trust and I m glad to do business with him. I do recommend him to anyone else looking for a mechanic trustworthy and great pricing.

I wish I would've found this place earlier! I had an issue with my oil leaking. They were able to fit me in even with their very busy schedule.
