This SHOP is probably one of THE best in DFW. Sean who works at the front desk is absolutely incredible at what he does. Those guys are like my brothers. They know what they are doing and won t charge you an arm and a leg. They have good turn around time as well. I almost considered not writing a review because I don t want everyone rushing over there then I can t get my car fixed as quickly as I would like..lol. Yeah, that s how good they are. 5 Auto shop.

This is the best and the most honest auto repair shop I have gone to since I moved to Dallas from California. As a woman, and not knowing a lot about cars, I felt I was getting great pricing and my car was fixed the first time. I had an older Cadillac and it began having issues, therefore so I used D&L a lot for many years. And each time I received high quality and honest service. We had a 1996 Mitsubishi that could not pass emissions, only because the test is different than when the car was mfg. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the car, but the codes would never reset for the test. They did a full inspection and certified this was the case and provided us with the paperwork to get the car registered without passing the inspection.We also had several small issues with our Prius (brakes, passenger door lock, moon roof) that needed attention. They were great. We thought we needed all 4 brakes done, but they said no, only 2 needed replacement. I know a lot of places would have taken advantage and just replaced all 4, but these guys were honest and only did what was necessary! The other two issues were also where they could have taken advantage and did a bigger repair than was necessary, but they were honest with us and did just what needed to be done without gouging us.We will be back! This is a great place to take your car for maintenance, engine lights, auto accident, electrical, oil change, transmission and engine rebuild. They are fair and reasonable prices ,give extra services to women and even will put your plates on your car! Trusted and a AAA Facility! Great workers!! It has been my experience here that Lewis and Shawn provide back in the day customer services! I have been a customer since 2008

I came in with a speedometer sensor issue with my Honda Civic. Sean and his team got it fixed and was super fast, professional and kept me updated during the process!! D&L offers professional service and reasonable prices each time. We have three vehicles and D&L has fixed everything from a bent wheel to replacing struts, shocks, breaks and more. They have never failed to keep us informed about the pricing or the time frame to fix the vehicles. They also offer discounts for AAA members. We love it.Since we have three vehicles we don't have the urgency to have a vehicle returned quickly if it's in the shop. If you decide to come here know that they are ALWAYS busy. They might not have your vehicle out quickly. It's a small shop with one person manning the front and you might catch him outside moving a car. That explains why the phone might go to voicemail.We've never been let down by D&L and will continue to give them our business.

These guys are excellent! I have taken my vehicle here multiple times. They have fixed it the first time every time. No return trips here. I always price check my auto repairs to get the best price, and I will probably stop now that I know D & L does the best job for the best price.

I am so disappointed in the service here. They were AAA recommended. The communication skills were lacking. They hardly ever answered the phone when we called to find out what was going on and only started to after We called them out on it and threatened to speak to AAA about them. We were getting the heads replaced on my husband's truck. We were told 2 weeks. It took 5! We had to start going up to the repair place since they didn't answer the phone. We were promised a discount because we had to wait so long, but close to the time to get it, the price went from $1350 to $1650. Sean brought it back down to $1350 when we called him out on it but that was not including the promised discount or my AAA discount. He said the reason for the increase was the added things they needed to do that he never told us about and we didn't authorize. However, before we got it back, it ended up being $1850 because he said they had to replace the fuel pump. (SMH)

Great service on your vehicle! Only drawback to their being so very busy is that your vehicle is there a long time. Fair prices & great work from wonderful mechanics & staff! We've used them over 10 years - worth your vehicle being gone awhile

this is an amazing shop & i recommend bringing your vehicles here for your repairs. each car i ve brought to them they fixed everything! i never have to bring my car back for repairs on anything they ve fixed. love sean the manager & the mechanic! just amazing!!!! 10 stars!!!!

These people have been a blessing in my life they are honest committed and do great work. And have a lot of patience. I would most defententlly recommend them to anyone I don't trust just anyone with my car but by word of mouth I was told to let them fix my car and they the job wasn't easy but they got the job done.

I took my car to the shop to top off the fluids. Sean took my keys and left the room. He came back seven minutes later and I asked if he had finished. He said yes and that there was no charge. I assumed, my mistake, that he added fluids to my car. When I checked the fluids were at the same level. Sean never mentioned why he didn't add any more fluids or explain anything. I am disappointed.

I am a AAA member & my alternator went out on me last weekend. I called several AAA authorized shops near me to get the best price & D&L was the cheapest. I had the car towed in, an employee from the shop dropped me off at home & picked me back up. Unfortunately the part they ordered turned out to be defective (no fault of the shops) so I had to take my car back the next day & they fixed it & I haven't had any issues since. Everyone I encountered was very friendly & professional & I definitely would recommend them to anyone.

The owner is fair in his repair cost. He has a loyal customer base. We have found him to be a man of his word. Our only complaint is, it could take a couple of days for his repair shop to complete auto repairs. But when you get your automobile back you know they took their time and did it right.

Is this place even in business anymore? They've had my truck for over a year... the first time they had it for like 4 months to replace a fuel pump. $600 and didn't even take care of the problem. I call and leave message after message after message and get no calls back. Don't even know if they still have my truck or not or if anything has been done to it, because they won't call me to give me an update. Anyone have a better phone number than what is listed??

Been going here for the last 10 years and they are always up front and honest with me. Quality parts and Quality service. Although, understandbly, they don't always answer the phone because they are busy fixing cars and they get a bunch of business. (Fridays are the busiest so try to avoid that day.) But if u leave a message they always call back.

Amazing mechanic shop, these guys are honest and reliable. No doubt one of if not the best in DFW. If you want your car fixed right without the worry of are they charging for stuff that you don't need this is your shop!

Love the professionalism of the staff here. Prices are reasonable and I never feel pressured to have something done that I don't need. They are busy, but always make time to fit me in in a pinch. I would recommend this shop to anyone needing quality car repair at a good price

These guys helped me out with some serious van problems.i was traveling through the area on my way to Colorado when my transmission blew ,I was in a bind because I didn't know anybody in a strange place broke down on the hyway.i took my bicycle looking for a merical ,I go into Napa auto part store and the nice lady there tells me about her mechanic shop,(D and L auto shop) turns out it was about a mile away so I rode to it.thats were I met Shane,the office manager. I told him my situation ,he said I could have my van towed there and they could see what they could do.thats what I did.thats when I met Lewis,the owner of the shop.he personally when out to look into my problem,turns out it was way worse than I thought.whole different transmission was needed.i was in a major bind , I didn't have the funds to have it done. I called some friends and family but couldn't come up with that much.it got to the point that I was thinking of selling my van for junk . That's when Lewis stepped in to help.he walked over to were I was parked and told me,don't worry,we will get you back on the road. He gave me the job of locating another transmission and me and one of his workers went to go get it,it was used .when we brought it back Lewis wasn't that happy with it.he said he looked old and worn and that putting junk in like that is just asking for trouble down the line.he had one of his workers pull the pan to look inside.sure enough it had medal shavings all up in it. The salvage yard I got it from would not take it back. So now it will have to be rebuilt before it can go in my van. Lewis knew it would take awhile to get everything done so he gave me a nice shady spot in his lot to stay in my van untill the parts came. A few days later the parts finally got there, these guys stayed late working on my van,when they got it put together Lewis and I took it on a test drive,something wasn't rite.it wasn't shifting into overdrive.instead of giving it back to me not fixed quite rite, Lewis wouldn't let me leave untill it was fixed rite.turns out it was a plug connection that wasn't compatible with the replacement transmission.who would have thought? D and L auto shop did me rite! They helped me out big time and I'm dam thankful for it! My van is running like new again. Thanks guys!!

Stay AWAY from this auto repair shop!!!! I took my car in for head and valve job. A total of 1728.30 was spent and the day I picked my vehicle up from them, I discovered that they messed up my Mercedes Benz. A WHOLE new problem!!!! They also made additional repairs that I did not authorize and when asked why they did the additional repairs without my approval, the manager SEAN stated "because u needed them." Stay away from these crooks!!!!!

These guys are amazing....great work at fair prices. They even gave me my car back cleaner than when I dropped it off :-D
