Our family has been bring our cars here for years. They have taken great care of them. Today, our 2012 Toyota Hybrid Camry (230,000+ miles! Going strong) was in for an oil change, rotate the tires and a new air filter. They quickly got the work done. It s always a pleasure to get car chores done with them. Thanks, fellows.

Old school garage. They take care of you from start to finish. Constantly updated on diagnosis of the vehicle and costs associated with the repairs. The cost was very reasonable. The service was top notch.

Sadly still in 2024, as a woman, it is difficult to have a car repair shop that you can trust and that won t take advantage of you or think you re naive enough to fall for some major issues/$$ spend. Central Garage is the exact place that anyone can go and feel secure in their decision that they will fix what needs to be fixed, efficiently and at a cost-effective price. I had both of my brake lights out and was concerned it was an electrical issue. It was just the bulbs thankfully and the gentleman here fixed them with no issues in about 2-3 hours. Additional, the undercarriage of my vehicle had fallen and was dragging. They were about to repair that in the same time frame. The cost was 100% fair for labor and parts- $118. My recommendation is to call ahead and see what day would be best and leave the vehicle overnight. They are strong communicators as well. Overall, highly recommend central garage in Dripping Springs.

Guys at Central Garage consistently deliver 5 star quality work. Diagnostics were quick and accurate. A squirrel or rodent apparently liked the taste of wiring harness resulting in a check engine light and an engine miss. They got us back on the road quickly and at a very reasonable cost. Will be back.

Wow! Central Garage is the BEST IN CENTRAL TEXAS! They are SUPER FAST, VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, and DEEPLY CARING. Only shop I will ever use for my 2014 Buick Enclave and future cars. L even gave me a ride 15 minutes away, when my friend couldn't come get me last minute. Their customer waiting room is so comfy with great coffee, if you need to wait for your car. > Don t waste your time looking for another garage, seriously. If I lived in Georgetown or Junction and probably Dallas, I would trek all the way to Drip and put my car into the hands of the best, most capable mechanics around.Thank you so much Danny, Kevin, and Lucio! :) cortney

Awesome guys! Took my F-150 in after receiving a quote from the Ford dealership. They resolved the issues, as well as identified two other fairly significant problems that the Ford dealership did not identify and fixed it all within 48 hours at about half the price of the quote from Ford and that's including the other issues! Will definitely be taking my truck here from now on.Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Kind friendly service. Spotless shop, cool waiting room to work, read, make calls. Cold beverages stocked in the fridge and room temp ones stacked as well. Patiently answered my questions when I called a few times to sort out what parts were needed. Two Belts disintegrated, fell off, needed to be replaced, got them over at the O'Reilly's parts shop nearby. Was charged separate hour times for each belt, have to take one off to get to the other. Total came out a little higher than expected, but a quick job same day, got me back out in the road. Also needed new splash shield the next week to be installed to protect the undercarage. Ordered my own new replacement part online, brought it in for quick install. Pricing was great, less than I expected, incredibly fair overall. Will gladly recommend to other locals and friends in the area.

Was referred by trusted friends and was sorely disappointed Central Garage s ethics for trying to double charge us after fixing the problem. Tried to charge 220 for an oil change after we brought our car back the second time. Asked if there was a warranty on their work and they said 12 months, 12,000 miles. I told them that their work went bad the moment we took our car off the lot. The mark up on parts is crazy and labor is over 100 for .80 of an hour. Doubt their mechanics are seeing half of that. I ve heard from the elderly people I take care of that they were also victimized by this establishment.Also, don t respond to me with all caps. Not cute in your previous responses to negative reviews.

Friendly, helpful folks. I pulled up on a rainy day to ask if they would install some wipers blades I had with me. Right away I was instructed to pull into the garage and was taken care of in no time!

Great customer care is a rare find these days. This place hasn't confirmed to the big box "thank you, drive through" mentality, and thank goodness for that. On a recent trip to see our daughter, the AC quit cooling as we came through Austin. Temperatures were ranging from 105 to 110 degrees in the area. The next day I was referred to Central Garage in Dripping Springs. The entire bunch of folks were so helpful and courteous. By that afternoon our AC was repaired and made our trip home very comfortable. I would strongly recommend to anyone with car trouble in the Austin, Dripping Springs, Wimberly area to head straight to Central Garage where you will be treated like family and your worries will fade away. Kevin was such a great help during the purchase of my new truck. I live in Fort Worth and was having the truck purchased and shipped to me. He didn't charge me a penny to inspect it and had me in and out in just a few hours with minutes of notice. Highly recommend

Amazing group of guys here. My A/C went out so I took it in and they let me know it would be a day or two for a part to come in from Dodge. Later that day they called me and found something in their garage that they made to fit, saving me hundreds of dollars. I also asked them to change my brake pads but they looked at them and said I still had some good life left. HONESTY. I won t take my vehicles anywhere else!

I have had my car inspected there twice now. Russell was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and quick. He showed much patience and treated me just as respectfully as the man before me. Very happy with the service!

Stopped by today to get a car and trailer inspected and I was served right away and while I waited for the inspections to get done multiple employees asked me if I had been helped. When the inspector noticed that the trailer inspection shouldn't be necessary (after the inspection was complete) he told me not to worry about paying, but I paid anyway so that I could present something to the tax office and avoid an argument there. Great service and honest.

I took my 2011 Lincoln Navigator here because it was chugging I thought maybe it was a fuel pump anyway got it towed here was a little worried because the trucks got 233,000 miles on it but the reason I'm giving them more than a five-star is there honest they could have told me you need a fuel pump or any number problems that I would have believed them but instead they put the diagnostic tool on it and the code show that there is some vacuum line problem replace the vacuum line and I was good to go

After putting on a spare tire after a flat, I stopped by to have my spare aired up as it was low. A friendly employee helped me promptly, checked and aired my other tires, and did it without charge. I highly recommend this company! And as a bonus, you'll be greeted by a sweet yellow lab when you enter the garage! Thank you, Central Garage, for your help today!

I had been to Central Garage on two previous occasions for a state inspection and Russell got me in and out both times without a long wait. Until yesterday, I hadn t needed any mechanical repairs, but my alternator was failing, so I dropped off my car yesterday afternoon and got it back today. I like to support local businesses when possible and, based upon Facebook and Google reviews, I knew that I would be quite happy with the service provided by Central Garage. I was quoted a fair and reasonable price and I m very satisfied with the service that I received. Kudos to Danny and Kevin and the mechanic who worked on my car (I don t know his name) for getting me back on the road. Danny was kind enough to take me home yesterday too because I didn t have a ride back home. If I need future repairs done on my car, I will definitely go back to Central Garage. Again, a big thanks to Danny and Kevin for making my car repair easy and hassle free. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff, great service. They diagnosed a bad wheel bearing when I first moved to town, and have been doing services and oil changes for me since. One time I had a complex problem with my hybrid, they were very up front about not being able to deal with it... It took the Ford dealer a week to figure out correctly. Hometown mechanics at their best!

Brought my vehicle here for what I thought was a bad alternator. They had me pull my vehicle in right away to test it out. Turns out the alternator was fine, it was just a bad battery I had gotten from O'Reilly Auto Parts a few days prior. Wish I had known this place sells batteries. O'Reilly swapped out the battery for me but I will be bringing any other car issues I have here without a doubt.

Brought my car in to get my ac checked out early this morning. I had called last week and was told I didn t need an appointment and to just bring it in. When I got there, the guy asked if I could leave it all day or bring it tomorrow and leave it all day. As I was trying to decide what to do he said man we re not a doctor s office . If these guys have too much work to even be courteous they can do without my business.

I really, really wanted to have a positive experience when I went there today for my oil change since I live in D.S. Apparently it wasn't meant to be yet again. The last time I went in for an oil change was over 10 years ago and it took over an hour and a half. Since then, I've been driving to Oak Hill to have my services done by Lawson Auto. This time I made an appt. thinking that would make the difference. After over an hour and a half had passed I checked and apparently the guy who had changed the oil failed to let anyone know he was done before he took off for lunch. I don't have any problem resuming my drive to Oak Hill to Lawson's. They know me like family there, have fair prices, well-trained professional mechanics and have always treated me very well.Service: Oil change

I really wanted this shop to be awesome. They inspected my RV last year and were great. However, when my car needed a starter, they quoted me $300-500 over the phone. After I had it towed there, the actual estimate was almost $800 and included $360 for a part that costs less than $250. They explained this is what they needed to do to a make a profit. In the end I had to pay them $55 for a low ball, bait and switch offer and had to have it towed elsewhere. The other shop had me back on the road for $400.

Usually have a great experience here. Unfortunately they diagnosed my vehicle and were unable to do the repairs that require special tools.So instead of paying my warranty copay (because they refused to call them) which is 50 bucks was charged for almost an hour and a half of labor to be told to take it elsewhere. $147 later and my car is still broken. Thanks for nothing.
