I absolutely love this place. They are very reasonable and they show you what exactly is wrong with your car. There was a time I had some work done and did not get the desired results they were so extensive and show me what was done in trying to make it better. highly recommend this place

My kids, and I had just left my daughter in laws viewing at Eternal Rest funeral home. We had a blowout we pulled into a gas station and it was completely gone. I called different tire shops in the area, I called Shipmans and Charlie answered, and after I explained my situation, and I couldn't make it to him omg Charlie came with Sam. And they jacked up my car, took the tire back to the shop, and came back with another tire. They put it on for us and the price was very reasonable. We wasn't from Desoto, we are from Fort Worth. I know none of these tire shops would've came help us even if it was up the street.Omg they are great the best men I've met in a long time I recommend Shipman Tires, and ask for Charlie or Sam thank God for you two Gentlemen. Thanks for the hugs also at such a very difficult time in our lives everything yall did helped Mt day get better....Thank you guysTeresa Harris is now a customer for life

Each time I have made a visit to Shipman Tire has been a positive one.. Servicemen are usually cordial and friendly. Car is in and out in a timely manner.This is a neighborhood auto service place; ideal place to go for a Female that needs good, honest work done on your car.

Great service! I dropped my car off for a brake diagnostic and TPMS problem on Tuesday morning and I had my car back on Thursday. I called prior and I had been told to drop it off and they would give me a call after diagnostics. They called me on Wednesday and told me the required service and repair cost and said the estimated completion would be based on the delivery of parts. I received a call on Thursday stating the repair was completed. This is the second time of had a vehicle repaired at Shipman Tire and they have top notch customer service!

Took my car in for an oil change after calling. I was told to bring it in. I got there and asked the lady how long my wait was. She said no more than 20 minutes. They were checking to see if they had a filter for my car. Well I'm waiting for 10 minutes. I asked if they found it, and then she said they were busy. This is now 15 minutes, and I asked again how long. Mind you, I had told her I could come back. She then said in an unpleasant tone that she told me it would take 45 minutes, and if I wanted to leave since i was in a hurry, i could. I never told her i was in a hurry. I just wanted to know if i should wait or come back. This is the first time she said that. I was dumbfounded but just thought she was overwhelmed. They then took my car in. She was very rude and I brought a friend and was bragging about them doing all my family cars. Well, they also said I needed two tires but didn't have them. I left to go get them elsewhere. Well, all of a sudden my car wouldn't start. I called goodyear and informed them my car would not start. I was then told that they put 3 batteries in my car in a year. No diagnostic was ever done for either battery. I am not pleased with goodyear of desoto. I won't be back.

Fantastic service from the moment you walk in the door. They re friendly, affordable, and willing to work with you to get the best deal possible. I got four new tires, an alignment, oil change, and an inspection in under two hours without breaking the bank. Definitely will be back again!

Always have great service with this company . Everyone is friendly and they never try to pull a wool over my eyes. I wish they would start doing appointments but I still go with no problem. Love them

Very nice. Dropped my car for an alignment after changing the struts. Price was same as a few other places I called first. It was ready in about 45 min even though I didn't have an appointment. There were complimentary snacks and TV in the waiting area.

The people are EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FRIENDLY. I have been doing business with this particular establishment for many many years.They are VERY VERY HONEST AND UPFRONT with everything about my tires and other things about my vehicle.THEY ARE EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY TRUSTWORTHY AND THEY WILL ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS HAVE MY LOYAL BUSINESS!!!!

We originally went here for an alignment and the brakes were locking up for some reason. We brought it in and were told that we need 2 brand new tires on the front, an all new strut kit with all parts on the back and a whole new brake system on the back as well. They said the brakes were locking up due to strut fluid leaking onto the brakes, that's why it was locking up. We put the $1,700 into it, got it home and not even a day later it was doing the exact same thing. We brought it back and then was told in fact its now the master cylinder and rods. Because they did ALL the work before and it still didnt solve the problem they covered the cost of the cylinder parts and labor. Picked it up and so far so good but we shall see what tomorrow brings. Then we noticed that the passenger side of the car was all scraped up with paint chips like something had scraped along it. so now its another problem we have to deal with. Smh... Marty there is great and they did help us out but the experience just wasn't great.

All the times I have had to get my car serviced, the staff were professional and informative. Compassionate to the issue. They let you know if it can be done or not. You always have the option of getting additional advice from another company. Always be well informed about what you need dealing with any company

I just left Shipman a happy customer. I woke up today with a flat tire which I assumed was from a nail I picked up. The guys at Shipman got my car up right away to take care of it and found no nail but both front tires were worn so much they were losing air! They set me up with 2 brand new tires at a great price and took care of my oil change and topped off my fluids for me in under an hour. Quick, friendly and honest. The only place I ll take my car from now on!

These guys are awesome!! They are so friendly and patient ! They have, on occasion, found issues that the others couldn t find and repaired it quickly and at a fair price. They do not take advantage of customers who are not mechanically inclined. I recommend them highly.

The service I received at this location was nothing short of AMAZING!! I Called at 7 ish this morning looking and praying that they had my size tire after getting so many no s from other places. Luke was able to find a tire and at a great price!! My insurance towed my car to the shop and everything after that was smooth!! I will be coming back as well as referring my friends and family.. I m really big on customer service #GoodJobGuys

Took my car in at opening, Paul waited on me, very professional, I had a noise coming from back brakes. Gary, service manager inspected all brakes and indeed it was back brakes and rotors, he said my front brakes looked good..I knew fronts were good because hubby had just put them on. I appreciated him not trying to hustle me, so I had him to also do oil change,which I had planned to stretch out a little further. I will go back because they didn't badger me trying to "Sell Up" as my stealership always did. The 4rating and not 5 because Paul didn't note I needed A/C checked also. But they took care of it.

Truck has been sitting for a week and a day there and has not been touched for lack of help. About to pick the truck up and take it to a real place for repair.

STAY AWAY!!!!If you are a woman i SUGGEST you take a guy or someone who knows about cars with you. My wife took her car there today for a leak, per my suggestion because i was at work, as i had used them before but i was skeptical because shops try to rip off women. BOY WAS I RIGHT. My wife calls me and said they told her it would be $854.00 because needed a radiator flush, thermostat, gasket, new hoses and repair radiator. I told her hell no, not true and i will call and tell them to not do any work because i'm coming get it from them. Well, i called and the story sort of changed saying the hose was spungy and will "end up" breaking, and MAY need new thermostat.AND, why do a radiotor flush if the radiator fluid is already leaking? Anywho, i then say leave everything alone, do not fix. Im coming get it. He then says, that was suggestions, did you not want to do ANY of the work? I said no and they did NOT tell my wife that was just suggestions, they said that was the problems and needed to be repaired. They wanted $550.00 just for parts and labor on radiotor.We took it to another shop and it was JUST the radiotor, $300.00 parts and labor and they made no mention of anything else. Keep in mind, this is not an old car. Its a honda, well kept up and not an old model. The thermostat is good, the hoses are good and no flush was needed AT ALL.I then called back and they told me it was 29.95 for pressure check for any leaks. I told them thats where we have a problem because you judt charged my wife $100.00. She said let me put you to service because I don't know what they did. He comes to the line and says, they could not do a pressure check bc the fluid would all come out so they charged for some other test, the worker writing it up and getting the paperwork together. HUH???SO take this as your warning, if you go, get a second check before letting them do any work. They almost got 854.00 plus tax if my wife would mot have called me.THEY JUST LOST A CUSTOMER!!! NEVER AGAIN

Went there had 3 cars inspected. They had a cute dog. They were friendly, helpful and gave us directions to the tax office. They also had tv to watch and free snacks and pastries

We showed up and the car was not done after we informed them we were in a rental and needed to drop it off by noon. A call should have been made to let us know the car could not be completed before drop off of was needed. When we arrive they complained that they explained she would try with a cane. Obviously there is a miscommunication between the front and the techs! She should have called whether you said no worries and couldn t do it or I will try and couldn t do it. That one hr gap cost us an Uber drive!

Was pretty good, but just wasn't sure why I had almost 2000 for car parts stolen on this property. Wouldn't be good if I was paycheck to paycheck

Will never go back. Mechanic new that the tire wasn't the right size but put them on the car anyway instead of informing the customer. Would not replace new tires for the correct size. Please do not go here..

Shipman Tires Goodyear is an amazing business. I have been a loyal customer since their first location in Duncanville, Texas 15+ years ago. Over those years, they have always been honest with me and willing to get me the best deal possible. I have tried other shops around the DFW area but nothing comes close to the friendliness and professionalism displayed at Shipman Tires. The DeSoto location always has free coffee, cookies and doughnuts such a nice touch!

Tire associate Casey was real nice and informative and told me exactly what I needed done to my tire, I appreciated the fact that he didn't try to upsell me something I didn't need like other tires shops!!! Job well done!!

Mechanics very immoral. Unhooked parts, did not do a tune up (even though I paid for one) charged me several thousand dollars that cost me a lot more to fix. Will NEVER go there again.
