We took our vehicle to have the transmission rebuilt. While it was out, he suggested that the rear main seal be replaced since the engine had a lot of miles. So we had that changed as well. The repair was supposed to take a week and a half, but it took a month. Once we got the vehicle back, it wouldn't start because the neutral safety switch wasn't hooked up properly. We took it in and had that corrected. Soon after, it started leaking oil very badly. My son noticed it was leaving a trail of oil and a large puddle on the ground when he parked it. We put oil in it and I had him start it. When he did, oil gushed from the bottom of the engine. The rear main seal that was replaced by Lee's was bad. I had it towed to Lee's and he said he would fix it. It sat for months with the promise that he would get to it. He never did. I had it towed to a mechanic to have the rear main seal replaced. When they pulled the oil pan, they found that it was full of metal flakes from the engine. This was a result of the seal going bad and my son not noticing it until it was too late. The mechanic that I towed it to told me that the bolts holding the seal on were not tight at all and that may be the reason for the failure.If I could give Lee's a -5 rating, I would. Although his prices for the transmission were reasonable, his customer service and skills beyond the transmission are severely lacking. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars that go somewhere else.My cheap transmission rebuild cost me an engine.

Heard good things about this place but after many many excuses and ignored conversations I have decided to put this review. This is not how you run a business by putting people off for months and then when they say something you refuse to do the work that is covered under the warranty. I paid for a service and get back a broke transmission!

I want to take a few minutes to Lee s Transmission Shop. I HIGHLY recommend this shop.After trashing my Jeep s transmission in a mudhole I brought it here based on the previous reviews and my belief in supporting locally owned small businesses.I cannot say enough about the quality of the work and the wonderful people that run the shop. The owner quoted me a price and that was the price I paid even though it turned out to be a lot more work than I think he had bargained for. The thing with vehicles these days is finding an honest mechanic is pure gold and this guy is exactly that. I have had the Jeep back for six weeks now without so much as a hiccup. Great price AND great work.They really do treat their customers like family.If there is a downside, it is the shop is pretty much a one man show so if a family emergency comes up you may need to wait. That did happen while my Jeep was there but he let me know what was going on and a general time frame of when I would get rolling again. That type of thing is rare though and I would still bring my vehicles there if anything goes wrong with the transmission.

Super nice and humble guy, won't give you the common sales pitch to upcharge either just finds the problem and fixes it. Got what I needed done the same day and made sure I had my truck for the weekend. Just with rams once you fix on part another goes out, but Lee hasn't backed down from it yet

HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS SHOP!!!!Went to this shop as I was tight on funds to spare for the rebuild on my transmission. UPRIGHT AND HONEST PEOPLE is what I found at this family owned business! No funny business or people trying to up the bill by a few dollars trying to convince me I need blinker fluid! I am extremely grateful to have found this trustworthy shop within my neighborhood to rely on!

Took my car here because I wanted support a small business and they treated me like family. They went above and beyond and got me back on the road in no time! I highly recommend them, I'd bring my car back here a million times! Great guy!

Had many different services done here beyond transmission work. Work was always done quickly and efficiently at a more than fair labor rate! Really feel I got my money's worth here!!!!!
