Highly recommend! I pulled in right after pulling part of my bumper off by hitting a curb, and the shop had me in and out in under 20 minutes. The staff was incredibly helpful & respectful!

I have decided to revise my original review. The first time I used this shop they did replace the item at a fair price for the labor however my check engine light continue to be on and I took it in to have it scoped again and it was a whole nother issue but I believe when they replaced the thermostat they either hit or damaged the solenoid and now that shows to be faulty whereas it didn't before the thermostat was changed. I don't believe I will be using their shop again nor recommending it. For some reason I thought this shop would be above reproach

I just moved to Denton and needed to find a mechanic close by. I stumbled upon J&M Automotive after calling a few others about a valve cover gasket replacement. This shop is very reliable and great on prices. They had my 1999 Toyota Camry up and running in no time. I m bringing all my cars here from now on.

buick encore 2018 idling rough and stalling out on occasion. did some research on the code and found people were getting the entire turbo replaced. these guys found the real problem on the same day I brought in the car. repair was much cheaper than turbo replacement and vehicle has been running smooth as can be with no light for a few weeks now. looks like they know their stuff here and saved us a lot of money. thanks j & m!Service: Engine repair

I went to get my Toyota checked because my car was turning over and they told me it s normal for old Toyotas . I asked them to still check it, they charged me for a checkup but they obviously didn t actual do it since there is still corrosion on the battery. I am now sitting here while it is not turning on knowing it could have been avoided if they actually did their job. They treated me like I was an idiot which is funny considering they are the reason I m in this position in the first time place. Do not come here. Especially if you re a girl.

They overcharged for brakes and then the car is still having issues with the brakes. Go somewhere else for your auto service needs.

Had my truck SRT 10 a mouse did a lot of damage! These guys are awesome YOU CANT BELIEVE HOW BAD BUTT THESE GUYS ARE LIKE TONY THE TIGER SAYS THERE GERAAAAAT THANK YOU GUYS!! Service was the BEST YOU YOU COULD ASK FOR!!!!!

Mechanics are the worst they can take advantage of you without any consequence. Not a good experience at all. Be careful, especially if you re woman.

I went to J & M to have my coils replaced. Customer service was not great. I received a voicemail saying that my car was fixed out of the blue and never received a call saying what exactly was wrong with my car and how much it would cost to replair. Luckily I was able to afford the repair when I went to pick it up. He said he would have called me if it was going to be thousands of dollars, but I would have appreciated knowing that my repairs would have cost me $600, because that's certainly not cheap. When I asked what was wrong with it, he told me "coils" and did not explain further. I am not that knowledgeable when it comes to cars so I would have appreciated some further explanation. Can't complain too much because my car is working just fine now and they were able to get the job done in less than 2 days. However I'm not sure I can come back here because they never called to inform me of what was broken nor the cost of repairs.Service: Transmission repair

They may not be the friendliest folks on the planet, but they get the job done super fast for a reasonable, honest price. No haggling or upselling, even me being a young college woman. Highly recommend!

J&M Automotive, one of the best shops in town, just like my shop they are honest and trustworthy, they do the job right the first time everytime. Keith goes above and beyond what you expect from a service advisor to help you with every detail reguarding your auto repair needs. Bobby the owner, I've known Bobby for 14 years and he's one of the smartest technician's I've ever met. I highly recommend J&M when I'm on vacation. They are my back up shop when I need a hand. Highly recommended by my X fianc�, a mechanic for 50 years or so, as a good place to take my car; good honest people who won't break something to increase your ticket or pad the bill in any way.Don't know anything about'm but that. I put my finger on the name online, so that I can find the address, to see if it was the shop I was looking for. That's all. And they're asking me for information.

Disappointing review today. They found and fixed a loose brake caliper bolt in 5 minutes and charged $130 for it. $85 for "diagnosing rough idle" and $51 for "brake inspection". I have been happy with them in the past, but today there should have been some more sensible billing. I have used them about half a dozen times or more. They have been honest. Prices have gone up a bit but still fair. The guy at the front desk is hit or miss depending on what mood he is. He makes it seem like your a problem when you call. Previous guy was super nice and helpful. If you can deal with him the rest is good.

As a single woman who doesn't happen to have a mechanic in the family, I feel I have found my fallback at J&M. They are honest, reliable, super-courteous, and reasonable. I never felt uncomfortable or pressured, whether sitting in the waiting area or talking to the actual mechanic working on my vehicle, who happened to be the owner, Bobby. When I decided to purchase a car, they were the ones I took it to to look it over for soundness before buying. They gave me such amazing service during the whole process. It now runs better than new. When an electrical issue came up in the process of diagnosing something else, they kept me informed and worked through the problem - it turned out to be minor, not only were they honest they were actually relieved for me!! It's a great blessing to find these guys. I guess that's why they seem to always be busy!

They've seemed honest. They are well priced compared to places we've been before we lived in Denton. The guy tried really hard to get a part for us although he told me the 2012 Chrysler wasn't worth fixing... He was right. I would recommend the place for sure.

Why do they not return your cores and not offer an invoice.?Bobby was great. The new mgmnt charged me $900 for a brake caliper. My mother in law $800 for a Honda oil pan.Try Strands insteadServices: Engine repair, Brakes, BatteryServices: Engine repair, Brakes, Battery

I had a wonderful experience here! I did not have an appointment, but they still offered to hold onto my car for the day and do diagnostics in between appointments. They wound up having some no-shows, so they were able to figure out the issue and fix my car the same day. Fairly priced and very nice employees. A+!

We've been taking our cars to J&M for at least 20 years, and have had nothing but good experiences there. The mechanics are some of the most honest we've seen, and get work done quickly with no nonsense. Everything is done right the first time. The guys who work there are respectful and polite to everyone, regardless of age or gender. Always a good experience.

Excellent carshop! I recommend everyone to go here to get their vehicle fixed. Great prices and great workers. They were busy but still managed to get my vehicle fix in good timing.

I'd give 5 stars but the guy I talked to that was doing the billing and stuff had the personality of a used sponge. I tried to talk with him beforehand and nothing! I tried to say I would bring my future service back and I may as well have been talking to an upset toddler! His crew though, they were amazing! Quick and pleasant!

If you haven't tried J&M for your car care you need to check them out. Bobby is the best and his crew do a fine job attending to your vehicle troubles. Short turn-around time and reasonable prices.
