These folks are wonderful. DeWayne's is my go-to in denton for everything from oil changes to major repairs. The team is friendly, professional, and I think the owner is one of the mechanics. Once, they repaired some faulty wiring left by a uhaul installation, a couple days later I noticed a tail light wasn't working so I called DeWayne's back. They had me bring it in immediately, they went over the repairs promptly, and got me back on the road in less than an hour. Their commitment to the quality of their work is obvious, and I've always been more than pleased with the whole team. From front desk to back of shop, the team here is really top notch. Especially, as a woman often going in by myself; I appreciate that I've never been talked down to or made to feel inept. My questions are answered without judgement or condescension, and I always appreciate that. Highly recommend DeWayne's!

Took my Mercedes To Dewayne for a suspension issue ! Was difficult to find someone who would do good work for a fair price being it was a Mercedes! This was my first time visiting this shop and hopefully it will be the last but if not I definitely wouldn t hesitate to visit this shop again ! Great work , communication and definitely Fair Pricing ! 5 Stars !

My review was for the previous owner and got lumped into the new ownership. I have had mixed results with the new ownership. They mis-diagnosed a repair even after I specifically exclaimed what I thought it was. I asked if they were sure and that there wouldn't be any further repairs needed. Afterwards there were further repairs needed, the repair that I first suspected and came to then explaining. After discussing the matter, they offered about half refund for the un-needed work performed which was at least semi-reasonable in the matter. I'll say 4 stars instead of 5 now. They do a good job in general, just not this one time.Previous 5 star review:Got my hybrid Prius air conditioner repaired here and it has been blowing cold all summer long. They even used the correct special oil ND-OIL 11 for this Toyota compressor/ condenser system.

The Carr family is trustworthy and does fantastic work! They have been servicing my 20 year old 4runner for about 2 years and I am without a doubt pleased with the approach and outcomes of the services I have received. As a single woman in Denton, Texas it is nice to know I have found a mechanic family I can trust! Thank you Carr Automotive!!

I have only been to Carr auto once- but the experience was excellent.35 years ago I was a mechanic myself, so I know when a repair shop is attempting to sell me what I don't need or over charge me excessively. I still do some of my own work myself when I have time, (which is rare) but I feel good about having a place to go where I feel I am being treated fairly and charged very fairly for the work that is done. I highly recommend Carr.

We have been bring our cars to Carr Automotive for about 15 years, they are the best!!! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vehicle. They are not only reliable and trustworthy, they are affordable. I highly recommend Carr For all your repair and maintenance needs. Great family atmosphere, always very kind and friendly!

Recommended by a friend, we will return because of the service.We had a vehicle that required major engine work. The dealership was giving us a high quote. We went to Carr for a second opinion and costing.Within 24 hours they confirmed the issue, and we asked for their cost to do the work. They provided a better value for less money. We had parts being purchased from salvage. When Carr received the first shipment, they told us that it didn't match in terms in quality, so they returned it to find a better part. We were please as it showed they valued the job they did for the customer. Every financial transaction, we had a receipt (via email when over the phone) right away. They used SMS/text to keep us informed. Once the job was done, it looked and drove like new. If had I one recommendation, it would be for them to find a way to schedule or automatically send status updates. We had to follow-up several times as they had the vehicle for over a week. However, their service was great.

This auto shop is family owned business that left me feeling very positive about their professionalism. I got straight forward, sound advice and left feeling my automotive concerns will be solved in the future. I felt i was heard when i stated i have strict budgetary constraints. I left feeling decisive about how to keep my car on the rode and extends its life.

I love this place. My family has been going here for about 5 years. That includes 4 cars total. They are honest, fair and hard working. They treat you like a member of the family. If you want great work at an honest price and to be treated like family go here. Great Job guys!!!

I m so thankful to find a honest, hard working mechanic after our move to a new state. They diagnosed and repaired the motor mount quickly. And even did it on a Saturday so I didn t have to miss work. Great value!!

Doug is an awesome master mechanic, has all the tools needed, explains all your problems in easily understood detail. He is extremely fair on prices and gives quality work within a reasonable turn around time. I have tried many other shops and mechanics, but Doug Carr is the BEST and gets all of my work on 4-vehicles for 9-years now. Thank You Doug!

These guys are THE BEST IN DENTON! It is a family-owned and run business, and they are always fast, affordable, and honest. Doug even took me back into the shop to show me what he found on our 2005 Honda Civic when he pulled the bumper off to fix the radiator. PLUS they have the most adorable chihuahua named Sparky running around the office...definite bonus! <3

These great people were able to fix all the problems my last mechanic failed to do. They are honest people, who try to provide the best quility service they can. What i liked was the constant updates to let you know how the repairs where coming along. Highly recommend them.

Great company worked with me to get what I really wanted dont on my car. called me for complications, and made sure I understood everything that is going on. I would recommend them to anyone in the area. Nice people doing good work for a fair price.

I cannot recommed this place enough. Doug and Cindy and Natalie have always helped us and been fair and honest. That's the key. Honesty. If something doesn't need repairing they will tell you. If there is a less expensive option they will tell you. I love these guys and take all my vehicles there for all maintenance. And we drive all the way from Aubrey. It's well worth the drive.

I grew up doing all my own automotive repair work and still do quite a bit myself, but in the last few years I've started sending them to Carr when things get busy or more complicated. Doug has always taken care of issues quickly and honestly. Most recently I brought him an F250 which I thought had a leaking rear main seal. He found a blown HPOP hose and fixed the truck in 2-days for a quarter of what I was expecting. He really seems to care about finding the right solution to problems. This is how I do business and I know it's not always the easiest way to work so I appreciate the extra effort.

I used to get good and fast service there but I have been waiting for a week just for a estimate for repairs I need. I know they are a family garage but they need more office personnel to accommodate potential new customers. I'm just thankful that there are other garages to choose from . Sincerely disappointed!!!

You will not find a better or more honest mechanic in Denton! I have been going to Doug for 14 years and won't trust anyone else with my family's vehicles. In the beginning I use to shop around and compare prices but now I don't even bother because no one else is lower. He's up front and honest about the work that needs to be done and if anything changes he will call you and get your permission before he does any additional work that he may find.It's also a family owned and operated business. Natalie and Cindy are always a pleasure to talk to. Stop looking now and go see Doug, Cindy and Natalie. You won't regret it.

Has to be the "best of the best" in Denton and surrounding counties. Honest and fair...I have no issues on any of their suggestions. They have saved me thousands of dollars from what the "chain mechanic stores" wanted to charge.
