My go-to tire shop. Always friendly and professional, and they get the job done right the first time. I've used their services about 10 times over the last 4 years. Highly recommend!

If it were possible to give this company half a star for the mere fact that it exists, I would have done so today. Yesterday, Monday, 9/20, I went to the A-1 Tire Shop located at 9600 N I-35 Frontage Road to get my tires rotated and balanced. This was my 3rd visit there, and only because I didn't have a bad experience in the past, I went back. But, because of my experience yesterday, I am writing this review. I am hoping others would read and be cautious of this business.Here is what I think I think either a crime was committed or the huge/heavy set black guy who serviced my vehicle does not know anything about tires. I went there to service my silver/grey Nissan Armada. There were no problems with any of the center caps; I know because I have driven the vehicle for many years and have never had any problems with any of the caps. But, somehow, after removing the tires, the guy informed me that 3 out of the 4 center caps were damaged. Interestingly, of the 3 damaged center caps, one just happened to belong to a white Nissan. Again, my vehicle is silver/grey, and I have never had a reason to replace any of the caps for me to have a white one, all of a sudden today. The remaining 2 center caps were so damaged that he could not reattach them. And, this guy claimed that even though he forcibly took them off by using a mallet, they were already damaged. He handed me the damaged parts and informed me that A-1 Tire does not take responsibility for damaged parts, even if the parts got damaged during their service. He kept pointing to the sign in the shop, so I took a photo of it. When I asked to speak with the manager, he refused to call the manager. He wrote down a name Lolo (sounds like someone s street name) on the receipt and said I could call back tomorrow to speak with that person.I actually do think my center caps were stolen by the employee, switched with damaged ones and he figured he could just throw at me damaged parts and a part from a different color vehicle, and then he started to get hostile with me when I kept asking him, trying to understand what happened. So, I called the Austin Police non-emergency number and filed a report. And, this is not yet over.Readers, be very careful with this business

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. They damaged my vehicle and still haven't contacted me for compensation. I've been trying to talk with the owner about this for almost 2 WEEKS but it's like he's never there and won't call me back. When he is there he still doesn't call me. I've been nothing but considerate and WAY too nice about this. My husband bought 2 used tires for my car. One of them was defective and had tire belt separation. We used the warranty and got it replaced there. When they replaced it the employee damaged my car from improper jack placement and cracked the molding. He also damaged the tire sensors and when I asked him about it they said to drive around and it will work again. Never did. Came back so they can replace those too. One of the employees then told me that they knew it was broken when I was leaving but never told me until I came back?? This business prides itself on fast and honest work but how is that honest?? Ive been calling just about every day since TRYING to get a hold of the owner to resolve this but NOTHING. I'll be reporting this business and I will be taking legal action if this doesn't get resolved soon.

A good business run by good people. They really helped me out and worked with me. They didn't overcharge me or ask for anything unreasonable. They explained everything clearly and were perfect to work with. Would definitely recommend to come here if you've got tire issues.

The worst tire shop I ever visited, they changed my tire at two o'clock, I went back to my house, which is only two miles away, when I wanted to go out at six o'clock I found the tire needs changing, I went back to them, they treated me rudely and tried to quarrel with me after they said I was the cause of the puncture The tire had more than one puncture , they charged me $55 for this bad used tire and extra $25 to fix same tire That I just got from them , again stay away from this tire shop if you looking for quality.

Terrible service, they are liars. I was told to meet at my vehicle at 5pm. Upon arriving at said time I called for a status update to which they said it would take them another 45 minutes.. an hour and a half passed so I called again, still sitting in my incapacitated vehicle. They then told me it would be another 30 minutes.. an hour goes by, it is now 7:30, so I call again and am told the service vehicle is still 30 minutes out.. I call again at 8pm after no one showed up and received no answers or a call back.

If I could leave a worse review I would. I came a week ago to get a tire patched up. They fixed the wrong tire but filled up all the test of my tires with air, so I didn t realize they fixed the wrong tire until a couple days later when I noticed it was flat again. I came back to the shop and asked them to patch up the right tire. He refused saying he didn t want to do more work than I was willing to pay for. He s right, I wasn t willing to pay another $25 for a patch when they patched the wrong tire up initially. I m not even sure what they patched because I never had issues with the tire they patched. Anyways, I asked him to just remove the patch on the wrong tire and patch the right one which he should ve been willing to do if he wanted to do right by his customer. He refused again and because I m a woman he told me that when I initially came my boyfriend should ve done all the taking for me and then maybe the right tire would ve been fixed. Then he put my tires back on with no patch and went inside the office leaving me with tons of questions. I was respectful the entire time and never raised my voice. All I asked was that they patched the right tire and I was even okay with them removing the other patch to make up for it. I m beyond disgusted and angry with the service I received here. Not to mention, the shop is just disgusting and so is the waiting room. I advise you go ANYWHERE else for HALF decent service from people who actually care about their customers and not just the minimum amount of work they can do for the most money.

Juan and the crew are absolutely amazing...A-1 tires are the best...Been going here for over 20yrs...I won't go anywhere else. I come from Liberty Hill just to get served.very friendly n efficient..Customer satisfaction

I came a couple months ago for a nail in my tire. I called and they got me sealed in less then thirty minutes. I've had no issues since and I love the fact they warranty their work.Today I called and came in for a wheel balance. I drive a lifted Jeep Wrangler with 35s and been having reoccurring death wobble. Floyd educated and helped me out, found out one tire was terribly unbalanced. Well... I drove off the lot and had ZERO wobble. I've been to many shops for routine maintenance with no help on the issue.I'm appreciative of these small businesses that care for and educate their customers. Price was very generous, service was quick, and they were very down-to-earth friendly. Will continue to do business with them and will recommend them to everybody. Thanks guys!

I went in at 3pm and I was in and out in like 20 minutes even with a printer malfunction that delayed what would have been lightning fast service by 10 minutes. Like many others have said, the folks there are really professional and courteous. I got a solid looking used tire with 30-day warranty for $60. Really not bad!

Worth The 30 Minute Drive Across Austin! After being told by another tire place that a puncture was "too close to the rim" and that I had to pay for a new tire (which I knew wasn't true), we looked online for another tire place and saw that A-1 Tires had great ratings. I drove almost 30 minutes to give it a try and they are amazing! Very personable and respectful, and they patiently educated me on where it is actually too close for a tire to be patched, which wasn't the case for my tire. They patched it fast and they are not expensive. I was very impressed with the customer service. A man named Floyd was wonderful - he even explained to me that there was a 30-day warranty on the patch. I will definitely be going back there for all my tire needs in the future.

Lolo was very helpful and does very quality work! I'll definitely be coming back.UPDATE: Of course I have the worst luck with tires. The very next day after getting tires, I noticed a small leak. I took it back to A-1 and told them of the issue. They took a look and informed me I ran over a nail. They fixed on the spot. The customer service here is by far beyond extraordinary. I cant express how much they are willing to go out of their way to help. Very honest and thorough work. I said it once, and I'll say it again, I'm definitely coming back. They have a customer for life.

Hard workers. Good prices. Not fancy is being nice. I don't think they've sent $5 on there place in 30 years. If you want comfort or fancy go elsewhere. But, offered good value. Aaron was really good. Floyd seemed good too but didn't deal with him directly.

Had a patch that turned into having to buy a new tire. They were fast, affordable and courteous. Definitely recommend!

Jerry and D worked exceptionally well, providing quick service and professional advice. They replaced two of my tires and rotated them faster than most tire places I ve been. They also offered great prices and great customer service. I highly recommend A-1 tires if you re looking for some used or new tires.

If the ratings allowed 0 stars this place would receive one. Customer service is the face of any business. The guy that attempted to assist my husband was TERRIBLE. The way he talked was so disrespectful and unnecessary. I wouldn t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Keep this young man in the shop don t allow him to talk to any future customers. The price that was quoted for a used tire was ridiculous. He told him go to Walmart, go to HEB, what kind of customer service jargon is that? We all know what kind This place maybe good for some, probably they didn t encounter the rudeness, but I wouldn t stop here even if all four of my tires went flat right next to it. Check out the reviews on a place before going, had I done that my husband wouldn t have experienced ignorance at it s finest.

I'm not usually one to rave about tire shops, but this place is hands down the best experience I have ever had getting my tires replaced in Austin. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and above all extremely nice.Brought in my 2010 Ford Flex for a tire replacement after I'd had a blow out over the Thanksgiving holiday and these guys fixed me up for less than any of the other quotes I had gotten from similar shops in the area. I was in and out in 15 minutes.I cannot recommended this shop highly enough.

This place is amazing I've been multiple times and their team is always quick and friendly! I highly recommend going on a day when Brenda and her husband are working, they're both so knowledgeable and welcoming!

So I m from out of town and I came to visit Austin and just when I was ready to go back I ended up with a flat around 5 o clock on Sunday of all days. Went to 5 different tire shops that said they were open I even tried to call but none of them answered! Finally I saw this tire shop and it said they were open and when I called they actually answered! I was seen right away and was taken care of very well! Jerry and his crew are amazing and such a life savor and blessing! Thank you guys again for taking me in last minute and fixing my tire so I could get home safely!

Floyd at A-1 is awesome. All the guys are actually. They are so helpful and very professional. I have been to them a couple times now and I will always go back there for any tire need I have they are all about being fair on their prices and customer satisfaction. So a big shout out to all they guys they are amazing and I will recommend them to everyone. Thanks guys!

Had a leak in one of my tires for 2 weeks that I finally decided to get fixed. Called a head and was told there was no wait and the cost. I was literally in and out in under 10 minutes. They were friendly, fast, and it was only $15 for the repair. Very happy!

I have come to A-1 tires on many occasions & every time they were quick & friendly and Brenda who answered the phone today was a peach. She was so patient with me & I kept apologizing & she was even nicer. They have always had my tires in stock & mine are common sized tires. If you want truly FRIENDLY, fair priced, genuine customer care then go no further. I have seen the signs at OTHER PLACES that say friendly this or that but as a woman I get less respect. NOT AT A-1 TIRES. I am very impressed!Mary Ann(Basket Carrier NOT Basket Case)

Took my car to the shop after a hit and run and couldn't afford two new tires. Floyd and Eric took really good care of my car and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes! They were amazing and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend A-1 to anyone looking for a good deal!

Been coming for yrs & won t be returning. There really isn t any warranty on anything u buy here. I had a bubble in my tire & they said it would have to fall of rim to get warranty. Bought a new one. This Time, the tire actually falls off rim & they say it would have to have a bubble to get warranty. Tires are good but no way they are giving you a free one for warranty. Even if it does say WARRANTY on Receipt.

Pulled up to the tire shop in need of tires in this hard times. Excellent customer service fast and honest and the boys got me rolling back on the road. Management quick and respectfully friendly. Needed a quick patch done so googled and liked the reviews here. I work nights so I got off work and was in their lot at 8am. I was acknowledged before the door was even unlocked. Fixed it right away. Great price and the the guys were very nice and polite. Great service!

So thankful I found this place. Everyone was super friendly, gave me a good deal on two tires and had me in and out very quickly. You can tell they are just honest, hardworking people. And bonus that they are open on Sundays. Highly recommend and will def be going back anytime I need tires.
