All I can say is Jerid is the Man!He has been working on my cars for many years and always is honest and will work with you the best he can on prices. Understand this is a highly skilled mechanic in all makes including European and American and his level of expertise allows him to do basic repairs to highly modified and custom after market upgrades. I always know when I leave my vehicle it will be in good hands. He's not the quick fix it type as he takes his time to thoroughly do the repair correctly.

took him a month to work on my car and charged me 580 to replace my alternator and "fix" the electrical draining problem on my vw, a month later the same dumb problem pops up and i realize he fixed nothing, i was just running off the battery. so i offered to sell it to him first because i'm done dealing with it and he wanted to pay 500 for it."Update" the owner called me hoping to get rid of my review or for me to update it so here you go.i provided the new alternator so that wasn't part of the cost, 560 went to "testing the alternator" and 20 went to "gas, oil, and grease"I took the car apart and replaced the alternator myself afterwards in an afternoon (not a month) not being the first time I've had to take the car apart I discovered that I am now missing bolts in the front bumper so that's fun and safe.If you want good reviews do good work.

I work on my own things a large percentage of the time. There aren't many people (only Jared) I allow to touch my cars/atv/dirtbike ect. I've known him about 20 years way back from vw race days(he worked at a shop). These days it seems its difficult for mechanics to use context clue and have a hard time diagnosing the case. He's good and doesn't just throw parts at it. After saving you money with diagnostic you can bet the work will be done correctly.I know there are a lot of non-car people out there and the above are just words. I can assure you when one of the non reputable shops trashes your car leaves you broken down , regrets will be plenty.On top of all that he's good guy and a friend. We towed in a non-working VW Golf diesel to Moonstar. Jared not only miraculously retro-fitted the only turbo part we could get our hands on, he also re-did a bad oil pan install (from a different repair shop) and replaced worn axels, CV joints & boots. I have witnessed first hand the work Moonstar Motorwerks does very satisfied with his working knowledge of the mechanical as well as electrical components of cars and motorcycles. And reasonably priced. I give Moonstar Motorwerks 5 stars
