I think all these reviews are friends and family of his because he was rude from the beginning, I would have left if I didn't need the alternator done to even drive my car (it had been dying every half mile on the way to JR) he INSISTED on a test drive in the vehicle without mentioning he was going to add $70 in "labor costs" to my bill for a 10 minute drive to diagnose the issue I diagnosed myself with zero mechanical knowledge. Don't go here, they take advantage!!! I don't know if it's because I'm a woman but this man literally charged me $70 EXTRA dollars to the agreed upon price bc he insisted on doing a 10 minute test drive of my vehicle to "confirm it was the alternator" I told him it was the alternator before I came in and even brought In an alternator-- very dishonest and I don't appreciate being taken advantage of will not return.

Jr is the Best & most Honest Mechanic There is.You can go in for a oilchange & he'll fix other things that you didn't even mention.

Very knowledgeable. I called around to four places, this place got me in was able to let me know what was wrong and fix the issue. Great costumer service, highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be bringing my truck back here for any future issues.

I have been bringing both my cars to JR for a couple years after finding them highly rated on Google. As both my cars are getting older I have used them about 4 times for various issues. I am always very pleased with their service,communication, honesty, fair pricing and quality of the work.Usually I drop off the car and they call in a timely manner with a clear explanation of the issue and varying fair quotes - to just get the car running again or to fully resolve the issue. They always complete the work in a timely manner as well.When I pick up the car they are always very helpful in showing what was fixed and worked on and the parts and labor were covered by warranty (which we have never used because it s always been done right but it is great peace of mind)If you re looking for a honest mechanic that communicates well with you about the issues and charges a fair price check this place out!

Finding a shop you can trust is difficult, but we believe we have found this at JR Automotive. As someone who believes in driving cars until the last wheel falls off, JR Automotive has been a great find for my 2011 car's mechanical needs. They have demonstrated to be a reliable, trustworthy, and transparent shop with fair pricing.JR Automotive has consistently taken the time to explain issues, provide direct communication without unnecessary promises, and present their professional opinions, all things considered.I am not sure whether Oak Cliff will remain our home, but where ever we end up, we will be driving across town to take our cars to JR Automotive for service.

Every time I went to this shop it was always over $1,000 in bills. They did some work and I went to another shop that the other shop pointed out a main bolt that was so loose that he unscrewed the bolt with his fingers. I was quoted on a part at jr automotive which was close to 1,000 once again but I went down the street to AL automotive and it was a quarter of the price

Great family owned Auto shop! They are very experienced, professional, and very affordable pricing! I had an issue with my car, simply explained what was going on to the owner. He asked for me to stop by, verified the issue and made a reccomendaction for the part. I was given all the details for the purchase myself, but also given the option to purchase through the shop. I picked up the part and arrived one morning the part was installed in less than an hr and a fair price was paid. I will reccomend this shop to anyone looking for reliable work at a reasonable price.
