At the beggining of my carrer as a flat bed tow truck driver and heavy dutty tow truck driver i took many many light duty and semmis to j n r thr costemers that i would take were always happy to take theire trucks there as i kept going i realised the mechanics were always willing to hel� and mellisa at the front desk was always on point i worked for rons towing at the time

Brandon is incredible! Aside from having tremendous experience, he was able to repair an auto parking brake problem on our RV that he had never worked on before. He answered my call while working on another, and came exactly when he said he would. I took my sprinter for tune up. They told me I d get it back end of the day and I took the car 3 days later which when I get the car back the brand new tires they put had no pressure on them. Car started to have problems after like 100 miles later. Prices are over market for sure and the service you get is so poor. They don t call or let you know unless you call them and talk with someone who is really not happy to be there. They were not able to close the filter pipe( I don t understand so much) and after a week car started to leak diesel fuel. Prices are almost same as original service and these people don t care what they do.Services: Tires, Electrical, Air conditioning, Oil change

These guys where great, fast and fantastic work. Pricing was reasonable considering the extent of the repairs I needed due to terrible job done by other places. The ladies in the office and owner where super friendly along with the shop personnel made me feel at home while I waited. Clean waiting area and restrooms and comfortable seating while waiting. Overall I will be returning when in this area for any work or repairs. Thanks J&R job well done. TDW satisfied customer with Tradition Transportation.

The Mobil service is a no go. Pick somebody else. Dude said he was going to respond to my location and assess an electrical problem. I took the truck out of service. Late in the morning Brandon advised he was enroute to me. He advised that he had forgot about an appointment he had that morning. A while later he texted that he was getting gas and then heading my way. After That I never heard from Brandon again. He never responded, nor would he answer or respond to the phone.I had taken the truck out of service to have the repair done. I turned down $1600 of business while waiting for the mechanic to respond.Additionally the mechanic strongly suggested I purchase an expensive part. I purchased the part at a cost of $1,000. It turned out that the part was not the issue. The part was non returnable(electronics).

Lost brakes on my 5th Wheel trailer while passing through on a road trip and I was fortunate that Roy and his team worked on my rig the same day. Excellent service and very professional. The entire staff were fantastic. The Brats and popcorn were awesome during the wait. Thank you! Heading west again!

The inside feel was cozy..& the ppl were cordial. I can tell they have some concern about customer service,..& I commend them for that... But when Iwent there for an FMCSA inspection. ,.. they gave me 1 price,.. But that was unspecific in its scope and total,.. due to their unspecificified description,.. the person above the manager whoever he was, Because he didn't introduce himself to me , told me that there was not a misunderstanding in wording used to describe the service,.. even though he never heard the conversation. He described the instance as being one involving common sense . When the prices and the customary applying of said prices aren't known by every individual , weather youve been in truck driving 10 days or 10 years,..specifics are needed when you charge someone For services rendered,.. So that no misunderstandings occur,..not vague and obscure language,.. Such as the language applied to this situation.... buyer beware! Excuse the punctuation and run on sentences,.. but I think rather than correct the situation,.. I will move on,.. enough time has been spent On the downward spiral of service here in America... again buyer beware!

Please!! Please!!! Stay away from this place. I wish I could give them a Zero stars I will not recommend this service to anyone . I had very bad experience. The mechanic trying to push the time. He spend almost 6 hrs ,he can t even find anything, anything and told me to take the truck to somewhere else. He charge me $3950 for walking around my truck. Very bad. Never ever again. They Scammer please watch them. Don't waste your time with these clowns.

Very unprofessional!!! Left us waiting for him because he overslept , then rescheduled at a different time and cancels that appointment with my truck because he got a call from a more important customer once he eventually got around to our truck he damages the truck and leaves in a severely worse condition than before!! Costing us more money with a different mechanic in the same day. Do yourself a favor, do not call them.

I had oil leake ...i came there to fix the leak but ..it took him an hour couldnt find anything . endup charging four $400 dollar....i Asked why?... no anwer kindly stay away from these peoples they riboff really bad ... Do not do any bussiness..rude

Great Service. Roy told me to bring that ole truck down an we'll take care of you. Melisa wrote me up. Carl performed repairs. Had issues with fan an A/C . They understand time and money . They got us back going in a few hours. They're worth every penny we paid. Roy made sure I was happy before it was time to hit the road. Customer Service at its finest. Thanks Everyone! Steve

This truck shop is Terrible, they take advantage of truckers and always upcharge them for no reason, oil changes are close to $800. They also ripped my friend off, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM, AT ALL COST. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

I was quoted $2300 but charged $3800, when I brought it up the shop manager said well that was for labor. My response "you charged me $2800 for labor and $440 for an oil pan gasket". I argued that part (from Cummins) cost $108. He said it must have been AM and that his cost from the dealership was $280 (again, they charged $440).I was charged $600 to install a brand new Fan Clutch (that I provided)$1,500 in labor for an air compressor (that I provided).I saw these reviews, but still went to J&R bcuz I was referred by BIG D (a great shop with fair prices) when they closed doors.DO NOT USE THIS SHOPServices: Transmission, Brakes, Oil change

Not all superheroes wear capes! Brandon went above and beyond to help me resolve the issue on my truck. It was well past midnight and he walked me through the steps to get my truck running despite him just ending a 20 hour workday! He saved me from losing out on a $500+ load. 5 star rating for the service! J & R Truck repair earned themselves a returning customer!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Don t come here!!!! Overcharged me completely.They charged me to tied one bolt and put Freon on my Apu $406.Completely unfair. I went to talk to the owner and with a angry face said everything is right. The charged in additional supply shop and diagnose for me showing the technician the bolt he needs to tie plus 3 hours labor.Completely unfair!!!People be aware !!!!

Avoid this ripoff shop at all cost or you will pay for it. Jack the owner will turn on the Texas charm when you walk in the door, telling you its no problem to fix anything, but look out when it's time to leave and you get your final bill. You will be unfairly charged, never given any estimates, not notified of work being done, then over charged big time for it, and threatened if you don't pay. Worse, some of the work they charged for was not done at all, like an oil change where clearly no fresh oil was used. And when you bring a working engine in and when you get back it doesn't run at all? You have to be a special kind mechanic to break it rather than fix it... but hey you do get the privilege of over paying for it. The work that was done sucked but then I did enjoy when Jack without the Texas charmed blamed the equipment for his lack of knowledge on how to repair it. These guys talk a good game but shouldn't be working on anything that requires thought or skill. A perfectly working generator wouldn't run at all after my visit to this hell hole; it cost another 660 to fix what they broke at a reputable shop. Do yourself a favor and avoid these pack of thieves or you will pay for it. I have reported them to the BBB, Atty General, Consumer Protection Agency, AAA, Good Sam Club and I will let every Motorhome and truck club I know to avoid them. Do yourself the favor and find another shop, or I have a good attorney I can recommend.

J & R Truck Service offers EXCEPTIONAL service. They are honest, friendly and quick. I've never had to take my car back for the same repair twice. Roy is very knowledgeable and has saved me lots of money throughout the years. I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else.

I'm new to the transportation business, and I've learned quickly how valuable it is to have a solid relationship with a shop with reasonable pricing, high quality work, and fast service. So far these guys have been pretty close to perfection.My customer runs daily during the week, so mid week repair shop visits are next to impossible. So far all of my needed repairs have been able to be completed during the week prior to them closing. They are very honest to let me know when they can't complete something prior to closing, and we hold off on those. They've installed an air dryer, new AC lines (it blows snowballs now), new 5th wheel, completed overhead adjustment (I never knew my truck was supposed to run this smoothly), and just this week completed an emergency installation of the engine coolant reservoir (in and out of the shop in an hour).Gilbert is a very knowledgable guy and someone I leaned on for questions prior to coming over to J & R. He had been telling my for a while how good his team is and he was right. The entire staff is great. Karl, Sam, Melissa, and Roy have provided great service to me. Go see these guys!

I have been bringing all of my trucks to J&R for over 10 years for all of my repair and preventative maintenance. They are fast, efficient, and reasonably priced. They stand behind all of their work, and work with you to resolve your issues as efficiently and cheaply as possible. I recommend them to everyone, from owner operators to companies large and small.

They upmark parts price from the dealer.Charged 4.2hrs to change a headlight assembly.They charge diagnosis fee by looking not even hooking to computer.Last place for anyone to seek professional service don't get ripped off. Ridiculous.I like going to a honest shop for my truck.Last time they touch my truck.Service: ElectricalService: Electrical

I was quoted an estimate that wasn't necessary of correcting an issue with rear a/c blowing hot air. They quoted me an estimate almost $4,000.00 worth. Basically they wanted me to replace, compressor, lines, expansion valves, dryer, control panel, etc. So, I did a double check with a volvo rep about my issue. He told me totally different prognosis of problem with bunk a/c. After discussing the issue i learned with JR truck supervisor. They went back, and said control panel needs replacing...i feel I was overcharged for the diagnostics and even charged extra for the labor. The big man even told me that the diagnostics was high because of work put into it, if that's true then my labor price shouldn't been high. This place will price RIP you off. I won't be taking or referring any my fellow drivers here for repairs as I was once satisfied before in the past.Service: Air conditioning

They had our truck in they're shop for a total of 12 hours and changed us for 16 hours. I was referred to these folks and I would not referre them to anyone. We were told $108 an hour which sounds fair. But it's not if they over charge you. We did talk with the manager and he said that's the bill. Fair enough we'll paid and we will not be back.

RUN AWAY!!!The scummiest, sleaziest crooks I have had the misfortune to work with. They charge you $5,500 for a repair, didn't fix the problem you paid for and then try to charge another $10,000 to get rid of you instead of fixing the problem you paid for. I could buy 3 new engines for what they quoted. To top it off, they charge you diagnostic fees and services you didn't agree to nor should you have to pay because you already paid them $5,500 to fix this problem in the first place. Then they demand you pay cash or they wont release the vehicle. This guys are criminals and I plan to take them to court and if you had a horrible experience... let me know so we can get them shut down. Reporting them to BBB, Chamber of Commerce, Attorney General and anybody else who will listen. They are unethical and do not deserve to be in business in Texas.

Bad experience. Very bad attitude. I called before coming asked if they have mechanics available to change a bad injector. They confirmed it. When I came to the shop, the front office lady didn't even want to talk to me. Turned her back and started chatting with other guys from the shop as if I'm not even there. After patiently waiting for her attention (which didn't happen) I walked out and parked the truck outside. No one asked me a single question about the truck or the problem. I came back next morning and my truck still was sitting outside with no one even interested in looking at it. I'm OTR driver and sitting in a hotel room. I don't have time for this BS.I CAN"T comment regarding their knowledge or experience about trucks BUT with with that attitude and ignorance.....I won't use them for sure.Picked up my truck and went to another one down the street. They finished the job by the end of the day.Mr. Owner, hopefully, you will consider this opinion when next time you have another OTR driver in your shop looking for help.
