Finding a good mechanic is hard, but thankfully for you guys, I'll save you some troubles. This place is NOT it.They abused my car.Called ahead, so my car would not just be sitting there.Almost a month in & still They have not looked at it.Fine, no problem. I'll just take it elsewhere, since they are just backed up. OK.I call, let them know I'm coming for it. Fine. No problem.I walk in, get the keys from front desk. Ask if there are any charges. They say no, since they haven't even looked at. CoolWalk out to my car & notice damages.Walk back in to let them know. They bring up photos from before & now. They see that the damages where not there when I dropped off.Now they ask that I owe them a diagnostic fee.

We have enjoyed working with Angel and David & the team. They have done some various work on 2 of our vehicles We are very happy with the quality and service, especially since they saved us time and money compared to what was offered or "recommended" at other shops.I would encourage you to call them for a quote and see for yourself because you can't always trust what is posted on internet "reviews".

Wish zero stars was an option.Had this place rebuild our engine and had a problem with it.Took it back to have them evaluate what was wrong with it and they stated that they would have to charge us for the diagnostic, when they were the ones who did the repair.Took a long time to diagnose it and then called back and stated again that we would have to pay the diagnostic fee in order for them to tell us what was wrong with it.Then they called back and said they said that because they didn't realize they did the rebuild service and would not have to charge for the diagnostic. We went to pickup the vehicle and they replied that it would take 2 hours for them to produce the vehicle because the only driver they had was not available to go get it.The manager David then proceeded to call my daughter-in-law a liar but when I asked him what she said that was a lie, he replied with an attitude that what she said was a lie but wouldn't state what the truth was. After me asking him several times "then tell me what the truth is, where is the car", he then changed to saying he "didn't have to talk to me because I wasn't the customer", to which I replied she is right there giving me permission to talk.He then proceeded to argue with her but would not state what was wrong with the vehicle and then called the Police to have her removed when his attitude was just as belligerent as hers was, and even called her "Honey" at 1 point.Obviously, we would not recommend anyone to ever grace this company with their presence or ever give them any business.Their customer service was utterly horrible and disrespectful when THEY are the ones who did the shoddy work in the first place.David the manager saying "this is not Burger King and you can't have it your way."Go to Blaine's Motor Supply where they will treat you right, yes I have been a customer of both

READ ALL THE REVIEWS AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHEREI took my flywheel here to get resurfaced for a new clutch I got. Installed it correctly and took my time to break it in and the first time I rev it out I felt something go mid shift. After that the clutch would slip anytime I put load on it. Took the clutch out and found the pucks were completely gone. This was a new ACT clutch and was going to file a warranty claim which ACT has for all their products until I measured my flywheel. The flywheel step heights were completely off, some were off by .015" where there's only a few thousands of travel to release the clutch. Basically it would never disengage and drag heavily at high rpms causing the failure. I took it back to them to see if they would stand behind their work and first thing they told me was that it was impossible for them to machine it wrong that they always double check their work before it leaves. I showed them a video of how badly the pressure plate was wobbling and they "checked it out" again at the back and told me it was all good that they did nothing wrong. Well I took my flywheel to a different shop and they told me what I already knew, that the last place to machine my flywheel had done it wrong. They had to check with me again if I wanted them to keep cutting to get it straight. They had to take off .020" to get the flywheel square again. Now I'm having to buy another clutch kit because they didn't do the job right. They will deny any wrong doing and will always blame you if something does goes wrong.

If negative 5 stars was an option i would give them that. I wasted 9 grand with this place on my sons car. They rebuilt the engine then had a coolant problem and the engine blew again. on the rebuilt they charged me again and said it was my fault. third time i took it back with another coolant leak that for some reason they couldnt find so they put stopleak in it. i found that out the hard way when the engine blew again.. They rebuilt again for free this time however here we are 5 months months later with a lower end knock. my son hasnt touched the car due to i wanted to be the one to break it in properly. i have driven this car everyday for 5 months with no high speed revs or racing or anything and now have it at a good shop only for them to tell me the that they built it poorly with cheap parts. They painted it to make it look good and sent me on my way.. Now i'm scrapping the car.. I have my lawyer working up a case on them and will keep everyone on google in the loop... I have all receipts and in person dealings on video.. They going to pay me back my money and then some. Everyone hide and watch

Notice: If your getting an engine rebuilt there will be other factors that you have to be ready for. Broken dip stick bad wires bad Alternator in example. So have an extra $500 for anything that can be bad. With that said i had a great experience. I waited the 6 weeks. Got in and had to replace my radiator no biggie did that. Came back after 500 miles and change the oil and had another issue and they addressed it. Overall David and Angel can only do what you allow them to do. They will recommend what's important but its up to you to do it. My trucks at 600 miles and running like a champ. The reason i went to them is cause i was recommended by 3 different mechanics. Now i have a service truck that should be good for 3 years easily with no problems. Thanks Fellas.Sincerely,Martinez Roadside

Wish I could give them less than a star... Ripoff artists... Charged by 6k for an complete rebuild just for my truck to be leaking and have my lifters ticking 2 days after I got it back.. had to take the truck to them 3 times in 2 weeks for a leaking oil pan.. I've been having to top off my oil every 2 weeks.. messed up my aunts Cadillac too

I am very happy with the work of Engine Rebuilders. David and the crew are true pros. David explained things clearly and patiently, outlining the scope of the work to rebuild my engine and the costs. It's nice to work with good people who are very good at what they do.

I cant speak for anyone but myself. I had a great experience with Engine Rebuilders. David & Angel's staff were the most easiest to work with. I have a 2012 Ford F150 that decided to throw a rod. I called these guys and I'm glad I did. They quoted me a fair price and after needing a few more things my F150 has never ran this good. I was motivated to right this review because of all the other reviews I read. I cant say one bad thing about Engine Rebuilders and will continue to bring all my automotive repairs to them.

Hands down, I'm really glad I took my truck to these guys. I took my Ford Sport track there for a second opinion . Christian Brothers Auto had quoted me $8,500 to rebuild the engine and another $1000 for radiator repair. This sounded crazy, for a 2007 with 115K miles. Dave at Engine gave me an estimate of $3,500 plus parts. I thought about it and consented. Final cost was approximately $4,500 with a new radiator, and A/C compressor replaced. I just had my 500 mile check up, which is required to validate the warranty. My truck runs better than the day I drove it off the new car lot. It is smooth, no vibration, good acceleration, and greatly improved mileage. Don't be put off by the location, and the front office; remember, these guy work on dirty greasy cars and truck. Dave the owner could not have been more honest or helpful, as was his assistant Angel. I highly recommend this shop. They know their business.

Can't believe all the negative reviews.... This David guy seems like( a crook ),a unprofessional rip off artist.. seems like every vehicle they worked on including my husband come back to them...I heard the man cussing my poor husband out... my husband is a honest man.always help his customers. This place needs to be reported. .obvious they can't build nothing. Half of there review are 1 star or. o star.Read the reviews from all these poor customers. ... obviously Engine rebuild should be closed. Don't go there unless u want a broken car cause they only know how to ruin hard working honest people'livess

I had received several quotes from various shops to rebuild my engine. These guys were the most reasonable and seemed the most capable. So, I put myself on the wait list (they must be doing something right if they are that busy) and about 4 weeks later got my vehicle to the shop and they had it completed in a week, they kept me informed when necessary and were a pleasure to work with. After driving the vehicle for about a week, all seems well and overall I m very pleased with the service and quality of work. You may have to wait to get in to see them and it s worth it to get it done right.

Silva is the most dishonest unprofessional person at this so-called business. Without providing details at this juncture. Take your vehicles elsewhere. This place I thought was a hidden gem, however, this go round , highway-robbers.I wished I had read the reviews before bringing my car to this place a second time.Your dishonesty will be you and your business downfall. It cost nothing to be truthful in your dealings with people and your profession. Thanks for informing me that my airbag light is on and wasn t before it got to your business and a scratch on my bumper. How you handled is nearly criminal and will be addressed. Case in point, unprofessional

Great experience. Got my car back up and running. David communicated with me before proceeding with additional cost. Great outcome and I would recommend Engine Rebuilders. Thank you David and the crew!

I really want to give them a ZERO star, but it is not allowed.DO NOT take your car there. They rebuilt my engine and did an extremely bad job. After I paid them over $2,500.00, my car ran with problems all the time. I had to take the car there three times for them to fix it and they never did a good job. My car was never completely fixed to the point that right now it is completely dead. My car has exactly the same problem it had when I took it to their shop. Originally the manager (owner) impressed me with the tour of the shop. DO NOT let their people impress you with the shop and the tour. You will end up paying a lot of money to other mechanics to try to fix your vehicle. I spent almost $8,000.00 taking the car to other places. A mechanic at one of the other places I took the car to said that the engine was not rebuilt properly. When I heard that I couldn't claim anything because the warranty was expired. Right now my car is not working. I can't use it. This place ruined my car. All problems are related to the engine and that was exactly why I took my car there. It was for them to rebuild the engine. I regret taking my car there. DON T do it. You have been warned. I have a 1989 Nissan 240SX. Every time I took the car there because it was not working properly, the mechanic tested the car and came back saying, the car is ok. BIG lie. They also damaged my odometer and my air conditioner and did not accept it. They also left a lot of parts loose and denied it was them. Immediately after the car left their shop, I went home, opened the hood and there were a lot of parts loose. The noises I heard while driving my car back home made me open the hood as soon as I arrived. They never fixed my car properly. I regret taking the car there. Be sure you read the reviews on the BBB (Better Business Bureau). They are really bad, horrible. I talked to the manager (owner) and told him what a bad job they did in my car, that if I had read the reviews on BBB and other reviews, I would have never ever taken the car there, and he said that I was offending him, and became a martyr. In addition to being a liar, he is an actor. They stole over $2,500.00 from me and made me spend a lot more. I hope they see themselves closing that business. What they are doing is not fixing cars properly; it is stealing money from customers. Again, you have been warned. Also, don't believe the good reviews written here. They sound like the employees writing good reviews for the company. Go to BBB (Better Business Bureau) so you can see honest reviews about how bad this company works.

I paid $2,100 for a carry-out engine, and upon installation, I learned that 3 out of 4 cylinders did not have compression. I pulled the motor back out for them to correct it, and now the timing is worse with the engine now knocking. A third-party mechanic agreed that the rebuild was poorly done. I understand the risk of a carry-out engine, but for all the problems I'm now dealing with, just buy a new motor and save your money.

Mr David was really kind and patient with any and all of our questions. Got my 07 Jeep Wrangler engine rebuilt due to bad oil leak, and the mpg went way down. After getting the engine rebuilt I m back to 15 hwy and 18 city mpg! So grateful to their company and being so affordable and made sure to be really thorough in checking everything and when something was wrong called right away to let me know. Definitely go to them for your engine needs! They are kind people and affordable pricing and don t try to sell you things you don t need and only recommend things that needs to be replaced so very trustworthy people

I took my 2004 dodge ram here for a engine rebuild and was very skeptical due to the reviews but let this reassure you if you are about to take you vehicle here. This guys are top of the line everything is done in house and they use quality products they did things to my truck that I thought was going to cost me extra for free like installing new ignition coils air filter spark plug ac fan my radio serpentine belt water pump radiator and more. I was so happy when I got my truck back and the radio worked that was over the top thanks engine rebuilders you guys are the best. By the way it's been 2 days since I drove the truck and still runs perfectly ill update the review if something happens.

I read all the reviews and others opinions but in my experience so far has been pleasant. My truck is currently in his shop now and I'm waiting for the results of a complete rebuild and cam swap. David and his crew have been very honest and open so far even when I tried to throw in a few tricky questions to David he immediately responded better than I expected him to. It shows me he knows what he is doing. I don't know why these others had such a bad experience but mine has been great .....so far. I have 5 more trucks I want to get rebuilt 3 diesel 6.0 and 2 more 5.7 hemis if this goes as well as it has been I will definitely use them for all 5 trucks. I'll keep update posted

Took my vehicle here for a full rebuild believing that these guys are a quality operation. I was quoted 3 weeks and approximately $2500. Over a month late on the return, I finally picked up my vehicle and drove it to my new home. After a little over 2k on their rebuild, I have to replace the engine completely. It started out with noise coming from the rear of the engine, which both myself and a licensed mechanic identified to be a timing chain guide (which is why I went there in the first place). The guide will now have to be replaced again and that would mean the motor being pulled. A consistent oil leak from the back of the engine developed after only several hours of driving, which I later identified and fixed as being an improperly installed rear main seal and an over tightened upper oil pan gasket. Finally, the engine was and continues to leak from the front timing chain tensioner which was over tightened and caused damage in the front timing chain guide (I found this one). I no longer live in the Dallas metro area, so taking the vehicle back would not only cost me for the tow (because it cannot be driven) but likely I would also be charged for a second rebuild (since the warranty has expired). Torque specifications and tolerances were not observed in the rebuild and it appears that everything was put on with an impact gun. Quite honestly, I am disgusted as I am out 3k (with the additional costs charged), and now have purchase a second rebuilt engine from a vendor and put it in. I would encourage folks that need to rebuild or build an engine to really look into who you use. Or, if you have the time and garage space DIY. Thanks.

How this place is still in business is beyond me. Its like they dobt know what they are doing. I have had to take my car to them twice after they rebuilt the engine. They dont know what customer service is and are fairly disorganized.Would difinetly take my car and or engine somewhere else

Now I will say this. I just got my car back today. I read some of the reviews saying read the fine print on the warranty, well, they don't have any fine print. It's all common sense. Don't run the car hot and keep the oil changed. Let them change the oil at 500 miles because they have a special oil in the vehicle that has to be removed. They were nice. The price went up twice but I understand my valves had to be replaced and a sensor had to be added. I received my car on February 27, 2019. I will re post after 6 months so that my review will be fair to Engineer Rebuilders and also to the public.12/4/2020- I said that I would repost after I had the car running for a while and that is what I'm doing on today.I have had zero problems with my 2011 Buick regal it runs fine.I followed all the directions that I was given I changed the oil as I have been instructed to, I keep all the receipts in the glove box for the oil changes. And I have already called for them to put a motor in my 2008 Ford edge.I do believe in being fair and I do believe in being honest because we read these reviews to make decisions that will suit our budgets and our families as well.I have no complaints. A job well done on my vehicle.

Warranty is still active but they mess your vehicle up so much forcing you to not want to take your vehicle back. Every time you take it back, you re either missing a belonging, there s body damage, or there s another oil leak. They will blame it on you saying you overfilled with oil. You will get physically and verbally threatened for even asking for them to make it right.

My truck had 160,000 miles and was constantly having something break so I decided it was time to just bite the bullet and completely rebuild the engine. After doing some online research, I decided to use Engine Rebuilders. From the first visit I was impressed with their setup and with the helpfulness and the knowledge David portrayed. He spent a lot of time with me and there was no pressure to have them build my engine at all; just answered my questions and told me about their process. Got the truck back about 2 weeks ago and it's been running strong. Taking it back tomorrow to have them change the oil and adjust the lifters, then I anticipate my truck easily going another 160,000. I like these guys and feel they did a good job both in the way they treated me and the care they gave to my beloved truck.

Don't go to this shop. The company makes you give them a review to try and work a deal with you. Hence so many positive reviews. I had forgot about this shop until I was looking for a rebuild for my Ford explorer and they popped up. I'd never go to this shop again. I paid about 1500 for my ford mustang gt, drove it about a week and it created a hole where my timing chain was and they claimed it was my fault. Brought it back and paid another 1000 plus to redo it again and a month later the engine gave out. I had to have my car towed and got another car after putting so much into it at this shop. DONT GO

Dropped off my 1971 Impala here today, spoke to David twice over the phone, then stopped by with my Impala at the shop. He was very courteous and willing to work with my budget and time frame. He also made sure to honour what he quoted me for the rebuild weeks prior, which was fantastic. He then voluntarily took me around the shop and showed me how they rebuild the engines and I got to meet the individuals who will be working on each stage of the engine rebuild. Every part of my experience so far was phenomenal, and David along with each of the employees I spoke to and the gentleman at the front desk with the glasses were very kind and transparent. I'll post another update after the work is completed, but so far, my experience with this shop is one of the best I've ever had with a mechanics shop; would recommend.EDIT:I've had my car back from Engine Rebuilders LLC for a couple of months now and I am absolutely delighted with it. Everything functions perfectly and the quality of the rebuild is above what I expected, everything looks and works excellently! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone needing an engine rebuild.
