My experience with these people was not the best. Dan charged me 2500 to fix my transmission. He kept my truck for three weeks and didn't fix it. Saying that my truck had an electrical problem. I went to two different shops and my truck didn't have any electrical problems. I called him several times and went to his shop and it was just excuses. sad because when I talked to them they seemed like honest people

Dan and Teresa are a pleasure to deal with. I've had several 4L60E transmissions done and all drove great afterwards with no issues even down the road several years later in my wife's suburban still driving like a champ

I have had to use mechanics numerous times over the years and I can say without a doubt that Dan is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. He was much more inexpensive than others along with faster service. He takes the time to explain what he needs to do and why it needs to done. I am not a person that writes reviews but I felt if anyone deserved my time it is Dan for the work he does. Teresa his wife is also the nicest person I have ever met and made sure my phone calls were returned and questions were answered. I just wished he did all mechanical work and not just transmissions.Service: Transmission

OMG I'm not even a customer,I was there in support of my friend that was told by another mechanic that her transmission is bad...But when I tell you that Dan checked it out and found absolutely nothing was wrong with her car..All it was is that she let her Toyota was just sitting too long, when I tell you my friend cried...God is Good...I'm definitely bringing my vehicle to him..

One of a kind old fashioned honesty. Great customer service. I had been told by everyone my transmission was bad. Spoke with the owner personally and he told me what he thought the problem was rather than just taking my money. I saved $1,400. Thank you Dan. Car runs great.

After reading all the positive reviews on Dans shop I decided to give them a try. Dan and his team are transparent, honest, and hard working.I received regular updates and pictures of the work being done. Dan uses high quality tools, parts, and was receptive to all my questions, concerns and requests.He has my full recommendation and will always get my business in the future.

If you are looking for honest, reliable, and price worthy service this is the place. We took our Dodge in thinking it was the transmission because the second gear was slipping. Dropped off the truck and received a call the next day from Dan,. Not the transmission, easy fix and we were on our way. He could have said it was the transmission and charged us 1700 but instead he was honest and did the right thing and our truck is running awesome for 100. He even called the next day and check on the truck to make sure everything was good.You will NOT go wrong dealing with Dan!!!! We will be back if we have any problem and will be sending friends and family his way!Thanks for everything!

Mannnnn these people are jus plain good hearted people that is hard to find these day I tell ya. From the beginning of talking to Mrs Teresa on the phone I knew I had called and been referred to the right place. I can't say enough about em willing to help in any situation jus all around good. I really appreciate them getting my truck going after rebuildingtransmission my aftermarket alarm was not working properly Mr. Dan and Teresa assured me that they would get it going and boom before I could get home he had truck cranking. If you are looking for a good shop that's not just after your $$$$ look no further. Ps. The BBQ Man Services: Transmission, Electrical, Battery

I have a 2006 H3 Hummer that I love and I just can t part with. Unfortunately the transmission started going south, so I thought I d give Dan a call after reading his positive reviews. Man, I m sure glad I took my vehicle to him. Not only did he cut my previous estimate in half, but he did a great job fixing the transmission, and also corrected some things with my radiator that would have caused me more issues later. He s very knowledgeable about his craft, to the point, and he fixed my car in just a couple days. I highly, highly recommend him!

Dan is amazing. I've never met a more honest mechanic in DFW. He won't do work that doesn't need to be done and even guided me back to the dealer because I was barely out of warranty. Advised me that they have a 'good will" policy that might be cheaper than getting the work done by him. It was. I would have just assumed i was out of warranty and paid Dan to replace it! I tell everybody I know about him, and have wrote about his shop on my FB page as well! Will use him for all my transmission work.

My 2005 Suburban was a mess. Dan rebuilt it the same day. Although he had to replace gears and other hard parts, he stuck by his original quote. I know how to rebuild a trans, so I checked out his work area, and the bad parts. He's an expert, honest, and the best price in town. He's able to keep his prices low by doing it fast and right. It's been over a year, and it still works perfect.

This guy has done two of my Transmission in my work trucks. One Chevy and Ford and I have not had a single problem out them. He stands behind his quotes and his work for 3 years 36000 miles.. Try to get that at another shop and you might be paying twice as much. He even installed the latest factory updates.. Ill gladly comeback.

I cannot not recommend Dan's Automotive and Transmission Repair for anything . Allow me to share a story of a Truck he rebuilt the transmission in and gave it a warranty for 3 years. I was fortunate enough to make it back to my house, hooked on to a trailer and the first time I down shifted the truck the transmission just crattered right there . I made it back to the Dan's and told him what happened and the told me the warranty would not cover the damages and informed me that the transmission was not made to downshift. That was that and now I still have a transmission that didnt mak3 it one day and his waranties didn't cover it one day or a total of 50 miles with me making it Home and back to Dan's Automotive and Transmission Repair. I too have not been able to rate my review below a 1 star rating because you have to give it at least 1 star for the review to be able to go through. I just want to let everyone know I couldn't even think of 1 reason to give the owner and the shop 1 star it won't let me make a negative 5 star review. This shop and owner will not stand behind their work and I highly recommend that no one use this shop.

200,000 miles on my transmission when it went bad. Dan said it would shift and operate perfectly when he was finished rebuilding it , and it does ! He had it finished in less than one day ! His business is honest and when they say the repairs are going to be one price - it s exactly what they quote - no trying to upsale - even sent me pictures of the transmission when they were finished rebuilding it.

I had my 4l60e rebuilt by dan a few years back and its been great shifts like its brand new and has a nice jump off the line lol. No hassle either. I'll be dropping off a 4l80e project I'm working on here in the next few weeks.

He has had to rebuild my transmission 4 times! And on the last time I took it to him he said that the front pump was being slammed causing it to go out because my truck had crank walk and he will not honor his warranty! Well here I am not another 2000 miles down the road and fans transmission has went out again so I took it to a few people and had them check the engine out well there is no crank walk my engine is sound its a CHEVY! Anyways got a guy taking the transmission apart now and well let just say Dan didn't do what he said he did and bought himself a one way ticket to court with this full write up! Beware of this guy when it sounds to good to be true it is! Note: crank walk is cause by a improperly torqued torque converter when attaching it to the flywheel that ware the internal bearings to ware unevenly fast until the crank starts to walk back and fourth and if it had crank walk prior to him reinstalling the rebuilt trans the first time even a decent mechanic would have spotted it. He won't return calls and fix what he did wrong!

Crook! This shop tells you over and over they are starting your project next and a month and a half later still haven't even started on "warranty repair " they always have an excuse. Horrible service.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I have bought 2 rebuilt transmissions (4L60E), from Dan's. Both work great! The price is fair, and if i need another one this is my goto place.

He did a great job on my transmission, very fast and with the 3 year 36 thousand miles warranty I won't have to worry about it. I would recommend his shop to anybody.

I have never had my car repaired here but they sure provided great service when I went to get an estimate on a repair I needed. They couldn't take care of my situation but provided me with different options.

They scam me out of $1600$ never fixed my tranmission when i try and tell them its still not working Dan told me he try and fix it when he never call or answer with all excuses
