I have been going to Dallas Car Care for a few years but I will not be returning.Had my back brake pads & rotors replaced in January (and waited for 4 hours to replace but no big deal), two months later my front brakes were squeaking so I dropped off my car and arranged for an Uber to take me home so I would not have to wait there again.I received l a call a few hours later saying there was nothing wrong with my car. I was confused as it was pretty apparent when braking.I did not arrive in time to pick it up that evening so went in the next morning as I had a job and quite a bit of things to do.I was surprised to not see my car out front. I went in and asked if it was ready and it was news to me but they were replacing my rotors and pads. I had not been told this nor had I given permission to work on my vehicle. The communication was quite spotty and I felt like I could not get a decent answer as to why everything got so confused.The guy that runs the front desk is forever in a horrible mood. He is snappy and cranky and should definitely not be the face of the establishment.My front brakes were fixed last week and my car is unfortunately making an entirely new noise now. I will not be returning to them even though I am 99% sure it is a result of something they did.

Dallas Car Care is the best! Use them for every issue or preventive maintenance work I need done. Just the other day I was out doing my last-minute shopping and it started to rain and when I turned on my wipers the plastic fell apart so I stopped, and they changed them out very quickly. All the gents that work there are so good to me when I need help. Give them a try you won't be disappointed.

Firestone quoted me $700 to repair something that was confirmed by Dallas Car Care to not need replacement. Ended up being a loose spark plug that (Firestone) installed which DCC fixed. Saved me almost 1k in unneeded repair and is a testament to their commitment to their customers and knowledge of car issues. Staff was extremely friendly as well. Absolutely recommend them for your automotive work.

I took my Infinity to Dallas Car Care to get my rear brakes replaced, but theycalled me back and told me that they were fine and didn t need any work. I was so impressed by his honesty and integrity, as he could have easily charged me for something I didn t need. He also gave me a free inspection and some helpful advice on how to maintain my car. I highly recommend Dallas Car Care to anyone who is looking for a reliable, affordable, and friendly auto repair shop in East Dallas. They are the best!

I have used Dallas Car Care for years, and although we may not have been their best customer we were regulars customers coming in several times a year with our 2007 Escalade ESV and 2001 Corvette. Rob and Dave are the owners and on Thursday June 10, 2021 I called up to the shop and talked with Rob. I told him the AC in my Corvette was blowing hot on the drivers side and cold on passengers side and although I was pretty sure my left actuator was bad I would like to get a charge on the AC to make sure the problem wasn't just low Freon. I asked him how long it would take since I had to work Thursday evening at 6:30. He told me an hour and I said be right there. Dropped it off at 2:45 and asked him to call me when it was ready. Also told Rob that I thought the left actuator was going out would he please give me an estimate for it, and he said he would. At 5:25 I called them, twice since they close at 5:30 and I had not heard from them. No answer. Arranged a ride to work and drove by at 5:40 just to see if they still might be open, or someone there since they close at 5:30. Locked up tight, good thing was my car was inside where I parked it, hood still open and looked like nothing had been done. Friday morning I called up there, spoke with Rob again and he was dismissive when I asked why he didn't call me yesterday to even tell me the car wouldn't be ready. I asked about the bill and he said he didn't add it up yet but " It wouldn't kill me" finally asked about the estimate ( He told me 3 times during the call that the left actuator was going out, I wanted to say yes I know, I told you that yesterday ) He said I don't have anyone young enough to get under there and fix it.Rob wasn't there when I went to pick up my car, I did explain to Dave all the things I have written here, my complaints and why I was upset with their service. Dave just smiled and said he had been in business for 42 years and wasn't concerned that I was upset. Even when I told him I had to arrange other transportation last night. Just keep smiling and saying he didn't mind if he lost business 42 years is a long time etc.... Well Dave and Rob treat your clients like you treated me and I am sure your wish will come true sooner than you think.What really upsets me the most is a good mechanic and car repair shop is hard to find, especially being a woman with a sports car. Most men thing I have no idea about my car and how it works. And I am sorry to loose Dallas Car Care as someone I could trust with my cars, but I will not be back.Services: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

Josh is friendly, curious, and trustworthy. He remembers my family and I every time we visit for an oil change or car maintenance. The shop always does a great job with my car.

I went here because I just bought a new vehicle and wanted to make sure everything was on point. They did not take long at all to provide the service I needed which was a pre purchase inspection. Josh customer service was incredible, I called first before coming because I m extremely busy and don t have time to wait around. He wrote down what was needed and their recommendations which I appreciate because I don t know anything about cars. He been with the company for some time and it s clear to see why, everything was running efficiently, no one was sitting around everyone was diligently working and I love to see that I will definitely be coming back for services in the future.

Took my 02 jag, they refused to work on it,citing they couldn't communicate with the computer? Left more worried than when I arrived. Not impressed

This is the BEST car care place around. I wouldn't go anywhere else and I have told EVERYONE about this awesome team here. So friendly from start to finish. They really made sure I understood the service I was receiving and that I was happy. They are quick and efficient and I have NEVER had a issue. There are a lot of oil change garages in East Dallas, but my household has been loyal customers of Dallas Car Care for years because they live up to their promises and if they can't get something done for you, they make it right. Been taking our cars here for a couple of years after a friend's recommendation. They'd done oil changes, alignment, suspension work, inspections, and other small repairs. Always very friendly and fast, and have even finished some work that I'd started and then got in a jam on. Both of the owners have been good to deal with, giving pragmatic advice on older cars, and not pushing unnecessary repairs. Well, this time I was prepared to be disappointed. We had a warranty issue; I don't know if it was just a bad part or an error in installation, but there was an issue somewhere. Took it back in and was prepared for an argument, since this is usually where it goes bad and it's time to find a new shop...... Not this time! Problem fixed 100%, car back, got a $0 warranty repair ticket, and a sorry for the trouble. As they say, we're not defined by our mistakes but how we recover from them. These guys are solid.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Very friendly and professional place. They have always got it right the first time. I have never had to return my vehicles for something not done right. It's great to be able to trust them to do a great job. And their prices are not sky high but fair. Very happy with Dallas Car Care!

I wish I had known about them years ago. I've been to many different repair shops through the years, some were alright and some were not. It's easy to figure out if they are good or not by the way your vehicle drives after you have something repaired. It's not always easy to know who you can trust when you're dealing with mechanic shops. I witnessed and overheard 2 customers here while I was waiting for my alignment and I was very pleased to hear a guy behind the counter tell the customer there was nothing wrong on one of them and didn't charge him anything. The other one also had nothing wrong but they did some work looking so they charged them a very small amount. It was $35 I believe. Regardless I was pleased with my work there and the cost. It was also good to see hear them be honest with other customers. I will be going back to this place from now on.

a friend recommended this place to me because he says the oil is very good, but upon arrival I was there for 30 minutes and no one approached me to serve me, I decided to go two miles to a different place

After reading a number of GLOWING Google reviews, I decided to bring my car in to get an inspection at Dallas Car Care. The first thing I noticed was how CLEAN and ORGANIZED their garage area was! The floor was spotless; it was free of dust and debris, and their auto products were packed very neatly on the shelves, almost like books on a library shelf. They have been in business for decades and this level of cleanliness spoke volumes to me about the enduring pride they take in the work they do AND their workspace.Upon entering, I was greeted warmly and I told them I needed an inspection done. Honestly, I was a bit worried that I would even get it done because the airbag light was on. They informed me that there was an airbag recall on my vehicle and I could get it fixed for free at a Hyundai service station. Yo, I was ready to do backflips right then because I had been trying to find that out for weeks to no avail! Apart from the EXCELLENT SERVICE, they were super friendly and funny throughout my time there. The mechanics seemed to have great mutual rapport and even took a few friendly jabs at each other. This made it an even more pleasant experience for me and I was laughing on my way out! These guys are the real deal! I was in and out in under 15 minutes! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I have a Ford Transit 250 Van that had a grinding brake issue and needed same day service. Guys there could have easily said my van is to high, we don't have a lift for your van, were too busy, or can you leave the van for a couple days, like the other shops told me. They all worked together, made it work, changed my brake pads, did a professional install and most importantly for me and my contracting business, the same day!Service: Brakes

I've been taking my vehicles over the years to Dallas Car Care and can say without a doubt it has been a good relationship. Honesty, fair prices and friendly and competent staff is an unbeatable combination. Plan on taking my vehicles there for a long time.

I thought my car was a lost cause. I had taken it to 2 other places that didn't have time to look at it, then I went to Dallas Car Care and they diagnosed my car right away and fixed it in less than an hour. The price was very reasonable too.

Dallas Car Care provides good old-fashioned quality personnel service. That includes everyone that works there. Very friendly and the shop is brilliantly immaculate. I own my own business in the service business and treat everyone the way I want to be treated. I know what it is like to be treated poorly and there is no need to tolerate & spend your hard-earned dollars for a lack of quality service. Dallas Car Care takes care of me every time I go. You can tell they are proud of their business and provide quality service just by looking at the condition of the service area the shop looks brand new, nothing out of place, no clutter on the floor and I believe they have been there some 20 years. I can assure you the condition of the service area is a good indication of the service you will get. Go to Dallas Car Care they will treat you right and take care of you and your vehicle!!

The gentlemen at this shop earned my service for life from the first time I went in. In a world where too many auto places see women as a target for a markup, they will give you a line item breakdown of expected costs and a competitive price on labor. They're always cool, calm, collected, and welcoming. They've done a myriad of services for my car, from broken mechanics to tune up to windshield wipers. And they're fast - and straightforward about it when they need you to leave your car.

I have 2 cars and trust them both to these guys. Whether its routine maintainence like an oil change & inspection or something I can't figure out like misfiring ignition coils, they always take care of it. And most importantly they stand by their work.The prices are more than fair and they get the work done when they say. I've never had a bad experience with them!

Awesome experience from start to finish. Super speedy, very thorough. Rod took time to fully explain to me my concerns with my car. As a female I typically feel talked down to at car places but this was not the case! Highly recommend.

Pulled up at 4:59pm to get a state inspection. Walked in with my insurance ready in my hand and asked for an inspection. Guy walks in from outside and looks annoyed I m there.He said, can t do an inspection right now. We re about to close. I said, don t you close at 5:30? He said, yes. But the machine is already .. and then trails off while pointing into the garage.I said, oh!! You just don t *want* to do an inspection. He replied, I can do it tomorrow sometime. I said no thank you and left. I left there and drove to the 10min oil change shop on the corner of Lakeland and Ferguson. Didn t even walk in- someone asked me what they could do for me while I was still in my car. Asked for an inspection. My car was inspected, I paid and was in my driveway before 5:30pm.Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism here. If you close at 5:30, then close at 5:30. Reading another review on here, seems like these guys like to cut out early. I m sure it doesn t matter to them, but I will never be back here.

I came to Dallas from a small Midwestern town, so I was really worried when it came to finding a place to take my car that I could trust. I found that place! The owners at Dallas Car Care are honest and kind; they do not try to sell things you don't need. Their mechanics are just like that, too. If your timing is right, it may be the fastest oil change you ever seen. They keep good records of your service history; I would never take my car anywhere else for an inspection, either. You will be happy with Dallas Car Care, I promise!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I called ahead to see if there was a good time to show up for an inspection and the man that answered my call was very nice. I was assisted immediately upon arrival, the service was quick, and once again, the customer service was great! Definitely recommend.

I took my Toyota truck in shortly before they closed to find out what was wrong with it. The owner pretty much knew the issue immediately. He said Toyota has a campaign (recall) to fix the issue, and that I should go to a Toyota dealership.Without the recall, it would come at a very high cost to fix. He could have easily charged me a diagnostic fee, and charged me to have it fixed; which I was prepared to do. It would have been a very profitable job for him.I called toyota, and they said it s not a recall. I let him know what they said and he offered to call the dealership on my behalf to get it fixed, saving me a good chunk of change. (He knows the guys at the dealership) Pretty admirable, especially considering it was my first time going there and he didn t know me from Adam. FIVE STARS!
