Took them 6 months to rebuild a 2.7 Chrysler motor then 14 months in service the moter quits then 8 months more before they can determine that the are unable to repair after several attempts this while the boneheads at eagle transmission on Jupiter are stalling me

This past July I decided to give Blaines a try, nice folks but missed the mark on my Big Block Chevy. Long story short I dropped off several items to include a 454 rotating assembly and a 496 Chevy striker assembly for balance that work was completed. I dropped two blocks one that was a .040 454 to be block prepped and that went fine. The other Chevy Big Block I dropped was to be prepped and bored .060 over. The prep was completed but the bore work was not, imagine my surprise this past week when I got around to building only to have the rings not fit during the test fit and measure the bore and determine it was not bored to .060 as paid for and requested. I called and the first Lady to answer the phone responded with I have never heard of that when I explained my concern. I did not ask them to make this right as I have no desire to return there given the length of time the first process took and the simple fact I have lost faith in that shop. I have always had great service from City Motor supply over on Harry Hines. Blaines is not a bad shop, I just had an experience that was not great, check the work before you the shop so you do not waste money as I did.

My husband has been using Blaine s Motor Supply since he was a child helping his dad build cars. Now our son helps him with the builds. The guys there are always helpful and professional. Their work is always great too. We have never had any issues with the quality of work they do in the 30 years we ve been using them.

These guys have never done me wrong. Build several motors from their machine work and never had any issues. If I ever did have an issue I'm sure they would take care of me they are A W E S O M E!

Knocking after i had work done. parts were double checked, all clearance on our end was spot on, safe tune, etc. when i called about compensation, i got the run around got nothing.go elsewhere if you want work done.

Had one bad freeze plug leaking , front desk said their nothing we can do but add a stop leak additive to solve the problem , so after 2,200 u just tell me that . Bad experience !

I dropped of a small block ford engine and Blaine s did a short block rebuild in 3 DAYS! Other shops I called were all 4-6 weeks away from being able to accept work. They delivered as promised, on time. Motor looked amazing and runs great! So nice to have oil pressure again! Highly recommend.

I've been buying a bunch of parts from Blaine's over the last year or so maybe 2. Since I've been building this engine for my classic car, I bought a camshaft that was built wrong. After I paid a shop to build my engine, we had to break it all back down again because whoever built the camshaft at Blaine's did it wrong. Messed up the rear bearings during the building process, and it cost me another 2k plus to have it ripped back out. Broken back down to a sub block, brought up there for surfacing, and a flow test.(which we were also charged for too) really glad I've chosen to do business with this company. *insert sarcasm*

The website is very easy to navigate and straight forward on pricing. I have purchased from Blaines in the past. The quality was good. The engine was ready and wrapped when I arrived.. The engine I was searching for this time was not available but it is an old model and fairly rare.

I bought parts rods and mains bearings. And I didn't need the Mains Bearings he refused give my money back that I paid with Cash"!!! Very unprofessional not up standing Business!! Very disappointed in Blaine's

I needed a set of connecting rods press fit into pistons the same day. Local shops gave me a turn time of a day or more. Blaine's Motor Supply was able to accomplish the task within 30 min and I was on my way back home to Fort Worth. I was impressed.

Went in to see about getting a piston, since Autozone didnt have it. Turns out Blaine's had the exact one I was needing. They installed it onto the connecting rod for only 10 dollars. I left there very satisfied!!!!!! Took about 20 minutes!! So umm, yeah they're most definitely getting a 5 STAR from me!

I had a bad experience at a place called Jose's machine shop. I won't go into all of that... Blane's is awesome.. They do exactly what they say they're going to do... They charge exactly what they say they are going to charge.... I've had one long block done for a customer's 76 Eldorado. Runs like a new car... Also, had the heads rebuilt on 3 other cars with no issues.. Prices are higher than what Jose's quotes...But, less then Jose's charges at time of delivery... i will be giving all of my future business to Blane's...

I drove all the way to Blaine s in Dallas (from North of Houston) to get a crankshaft machined. Because it needed one of the journals welded, no one in my area could do it. Blaine s does it all the time. Came out great and was done in a very reasonable amount of time. These folks took care of us. Thanks!!!

Quality work but watch out they tell u one price and charge you alot more and I was told it would take 2 weeks but no it has taken a month I was going to recommend them and bring in a few more engines but after being lied to about the price when i droped it off and estimated finish time I don't believe I will be returning because of that

They ve had my engine since May; rebuilding and continue to give me the run around. It was parts and then went to being the wrong parts because they only looked at the stated make/model and no the casting numbers as most professionals working on a car 50 years old.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I've dealt with these guys 4 times now and always been satisfied.Been satisfied I got the best for the buck,and TAKE THEIR ADVICE.These are professionals,don't get upset if they seem to be in a hurry and don't have time to talk much.Be prepared when you get there,or simply ask them to tell you what they need to know and the best way for you to get there.Don't expect them to read your mind. Just trying to help both of ya'll.

Been using them since 2003...and so did my pops before then. I highly recommend Sean, hes the only one Ive ever dealt with. I only had a problem with one thing, and he replaced free and clear...no charge.

I give them 4 stars bc I hope someone that races at devil's bowl buys from here so I have a chance to win. Would rate 0 stars for quality work. So go to Blaine's and have a blown up motor within miles of installation. Thanks guys!
