After reading these reviews I wish I have never took my car to them After an accident years ago. They took my car apart, didn't replace all of the things that needed to be replaced, took over a month to get my car back, also they did damage to my belt and took of my radiator cap so it will spill fluid and I would have to bring it back. I quickly noticed what they did and never took my car to them again, also about a month later I found out the didn't replace another part on my suspension which wind up costing me $4000. Don't recommend. The only thing is that they were friendly in the beginning but when they saw they couldn't finish their scam their actitudes changed.

I chose 5Speed because of their high ratings and I'm glad I did. I took for my car for repairs after a hit and run. They did an excellent job, my car looks brand new. I definitely recommend.Services: Painting, Auto body & trim replacementServices: Painting, Auto body & trim replacement

I chose 5 speed collission because of their ratings!!! Despite the bad ones AND LET ME TELL YOU ! IM GLAD I DID!!! BEST SERVICE, UPDATES on the process of my vehicle and the customer service is on POINT!!!! Its a little hidden gem in cypress with reasonable pricing. Wishing them all the best this year with their business and hopefully nothing happens right but just incase I DEFINITELY WILL BE COMING TO THEM AGAIN!!!

i took my GMC to this place to fix the check engine light on ,at first time the guy told is going to be $175 for the diagnostic and them they call me telling me that the problem was a oil sensor,and the cost will be $350 to repair it ,i told them to do it after 1 day driving my truck the light came back on ,i took the truck back to the shop,the guy told me to leave it to check it again after 2 hours the guy called saying that there was another problem inside the motor the guy said is going to be $800 to fix it , i told to fix it at this time the truck was in the shop for one week .i rent a truck and pay $900 ,after one week i got my truck back and the next they i was driving my truck the light cam e back on ,i took the truck to the shop at this time the mechanic told me that the problem was manufactured motor problem ,the motor was under warranty ,then he call the place where i bought the motor ,the manufacture agreed to pay for the labor and part repairs $1200 ,but the mechanic told me he can t fix the truck until he recive the signed agreement from the manufacture , the truck was at the shop for another week ,i rent another truck again and pay $900 more , them i told the mechanic that i will pay him the $1200 and fix the truck quick and later i get the refund from the manufacture he try to fix it but he couldn tin total i lost more then $5k this mechanic didn t fix my truck they ruin the motor i would give 0 stars to this place ,plus every time they fix the truck my truck was smelling like homeless leave in it ,i don t recommend this place

Jimmy Turcios is a great man who is very personable. He takes pride in his work and works for the customer s satisfaction. After taking my car to the dealership, I contacted Jimmy to see if he could give me a quote on brake pads. Not only did he give me a quote on the brake pads, but gave me a great rate and told me that he could fit me in the schedule today, as it would be done within 45 minutes - 1 hour. Jimmy and his staff are people of their word. I found a new mechanic that values their customers satisfaction and genuinely cares about their customers. Only going here from now on! Found 5 Speed Auto Repair on Groupon after searching for an affordable yet quality oil change. I called to verify prices, spoke with Jimmy who was very patient and helpful with my 50 million questions. Upon arriving Andy (a sarcastic yet friendly person) further assisted me with my price breakdown and random car questions. Great service and affordable prices. I liked being able to go to a business not feeling pressured into additional services. Can't beat a locked in oil change price. Will definitely visit again. Service was completed in a timely manner, and waiting area was very clean.

I just want to give a shout out to 5 Speed Auto Repair. After a very hard week for everyone with all the snow, ice and power and water outages, these guys reached out to their community and offered a free oil change. I went by yesterday amd was greeted by Jimmy, the owner. He was nice, polite, courteous and accommodating. They not only did my oil change but told me about a potential problem that I could take care of at a later time. No pressure, no fuss. Definitely will be taking our vehicle there for our vehicle maintenance needs.

Honestly at first i wasnt so happy but it was my insurance making the repairs very difficult by not listening to the mechanics that know what they are talking about .. but once Andy started handling repairs for my car everything worked out great!! And after 3 long weeks i got my car back in such a better state than before!! I will definitely come back if needed! But honestly i cant get over how wonderful Andy was even my insurance company told me that he knew exactly what he was talking about and he does!! Thank you so so much Andy!!!!

This place was amazing. I came in with a busted radiator and thermostat . I was handled with respect and they didn't take advantage of me because I was in a tight spot. I had come from cliffs auto repair and cliffs messed me over and quoted me 800$ and charged me 70 $ for diagnostic fees. . 5 speed auto was 200 cheaper and I felt like 5 speed auto repair was honest and forthcoming about my truck breaking . I will be back and I will give 5 stars !!!!

I had the best experience at 5 speed! I came on my lunch break for an oil change and they were fast and so nice!!I have to get synthetic oil for my car and Andy gave me such a great deal! The receptionist even offered me fajitas I would definitely recommend coming here.

Ive been to these guys 3 different times and 2 different cars a volvo and a GMC. These guys are amazing. They do great work for an affordable price. I will definitely be bringing my cars back to them to fix. GOOD JOB GUYS! Moved here from Minnesota in me 2007 Lexus ES 350 and I needed work done to my car coming fro the snow town to a warm climax.. my car needed brakes caliber all around and pad the did excellent job on my car and gave me a good price so I was satisfied.. this a nice place to get your car work done here friendly atmosphere , so I give them a high five with a

They made this the easiest repair ever!! I did it from the phone, told them what I needed done They picked up the van (which was a relatives, not even mine) fixed it the next day. Took me 5 minutes on the phone to setup the repairs, 5 minutes to pick up.The price was fair and honest, true to the word he gave me and most importantly they were fast and accurate with the estimates when finish.This is a great first experience and I will certainly do more business there when I don't have time or the tools. ImpressiveI now retract this statement. 2 weeks later the tire falls off on highway during a trip. Lug nuts sheared off. Tire flies off and vehicle is totalled a 1000 miles from here and now they want to tell me bring the vehicle to them so they can investigate it. ummm NO! I already had 2 ....insurance and a auto shop. $3300 in damages.The owner just hangs up on me. Tells me I could have done anything. Apparently the warranty is only until it rolls out the door.

I had a good experience. I was in need of a new headlight , and on my car you have to monkey around with the front fender just to change the bulb. Chrysler *roll eyes* -- So I bought the bulbs myself and got a quote from 5 Speed. They were able to do the job for less than 1/2 the price of AutoNation, and as long as I was able to wait there, they could get on it quickly, so I said let's do it. I was so happy because I had to drive again a long distance that night. Thank you! Also, I found Leo to be quite personable and friendly. It was great that I solved that whole issue that morning so quickly. I think morning is a good time to go in by the way.

.....am new to the Houston area & talked to a number of independent shops to establish a relationship.....5 Speed impressed me most & I had what appeared to be a minor fuel related problem.....turned out to be a more complicated issue which was finally diagnosed correctly & repaired properly by them.....hats off to Jimmy & his crew for the extra effort in getting me & the car back on the busy H-Town roads (yikes!).....will be back as needed.....see ya' in traffic!*Update 4/21.....continued top tier service from Jimmy & super mechanics Jorge & Raymond...a great team!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Andy was amazing! Best manager ever. Gave me a good deal on an oil change and didn't charge me for whatever I said I wanted. He actually verified and found that I didn't need what I thought.

Went in worried and concerned after talking to my dealership the day before left out happy and satisfied. The price the dealership was going to charge me just to find the problem Andy actually fixed the problem for the same price. I am so thankful. Go see Andy great service.

I took my car because it was making lots of noise. Andy looked at my car and determined I shouldn't be driving it. Andy ordered the parts for the car and my car was ready the next business day.Andy was super nice and very professional while explaining what's needed to be fixed.Thank you Andy

Andy is honest and will take care of your car as if it was his own. They have fair pricing and fast service.Of course, no one WANTS to need auto repair, but when it becomes necessary, this is the place to go.

Always willing to negotiate and help. So many shops you can go to in Katy however, i chose this one because of the staff, and quality of service. They do not disappoint. They do get busy throughout the day so make sure you have enough time to wait.

Had my first wreck and got helped, guided and updated through the whole process. Glad this was my body shop of choice. Staff are very kind and attentive in any means. The car was even cleaned when I got it back. Recommend 10/10

Yesterday I came in around 5 PM ish to have my car looked at . I told the front manager Andy that my vehicle is acting up and I thought it was due to my oil levels. I mentioned the burning from the engine , the grinding from the front end , and how the driving seems stiff . I also mentioned on my way to cypress how my car kept shaking and usually it does that in regards to oil levels .I told them the oil was just changed but I needed to be home which was an hour away, safely. He seemed very genuine and provided great feedback and advice.He told they were going to do an engine compression test for free but he usually would cost at least $95. I asked well what about the oil levels could we check that , he said they would after the engine test. Now I'm not an expert in that area but I've known over the years that my car responds with shaking in regards to oil levels but I had rarely experienced the burning smell or the noises in the front end.Long story short . When I arrived my car was driving and braking . I was able to switch gears as needed.After Andy the manager informed me my engine was going bad and needed to be replaced . I told him that's too much money right now. Can they put it back together, it was drivable 15 mins ago I'll risk taking it home. It needed it to be near my home . I live an hour away.Andy demeanor changed . His body language changed . His toned change . His facial expression changed . He told me well they're closing it has to stay here . I replied it can't and I have to go home . The tech in uniform who was working on my car was told to clock out, they closed at 6pm. The other guy in no uniform probably an under the table or volunteer guy put it back together.When they were done the manager Andy told me back my car out . Andy said he had to close the garage back it out .I started the car and wow it was a lot worse than before. I couldn't press the brake , the gears were hard to change , and the engine was pulsating . Under the hood were loud noises. They opened my hood and realized things were not connected properly , they tried taking short cuts because they were in a rush . I told them they needed to had taken the engine over off and connect cords then screw the cover in . They did the opposite and didn't want to redo it because they were closed .But again he and I were aware of his time schedule when I arrived . He assured me they would handle it , bring it over. I could have went somewhere else but he assured me that was the shop for my issue.Their failure to put my car back together as it came and the fact that Andy the manager and owner rushed me out the shop without properly assembling the car was unprofessional. My car is in worse shape now then it was before coming in . They locked up and left as I waited 2 hours outside for a tow. My gears , my brakes and my engine , are all functioning worse and the car is no longer drive-able.Their was no concern for my vehicle getting worse from Andy. I had asked over and over why such the dramatic change and why wasn't things put together as they were.His grudging replies did not answer my questions .8-23-2019 Update from another shop and mechanicEngine is in great shape . 5 speed auto repair failed to properly put engine back together , and the car was undrive-able after there doing. After the new shop repaired their damage to my engine, they properly diagnosed my vehicle with only having front end brake issues . NOTHING WAS EVER WRONG WITH MY ENGINE, 5 speed misdiagnosed my engine and left my car in a worse condition WHICH would have ruined my vehicle or cost me my life !Please avoid these people !
