Just wanted to say thanks to Chris. I just made a simple call to see about bringing my car in. Chris could've just scheduled me and looked at my car, but instead he asked questions. His going above and beyond temporarily solved the issue I was having. It was actually really simple and something I should've already checked. Well I called him back to thank him and he asked if I could come by the shop to take a further look. I checked things out for me and didn't charge me for his time. I haven't had anything repaired at this shop, but based on this simple act of hospitality, I most definitely will if I run into any mechanical problems.

Had a tire ripped off in a accident and they were recommended. I told them I don't care about cosmetic damage and just need tire on cheap as possible. They quoted me 2300$ but I got tire on and driving for 100$ with salvaged parts. All I put on was a upper control arm, tie rod and a lower ball joint. Steering is fine and I only spend an additional 100$ or so on having a shop flare in a new brake line connection. Not a comment on their work as they didn't do any but they sure tried to charge me a lot.

Quite honestly I was recommended to them when my car broke down prices were decent thought they solved my problem and even recommended to others and had to recently renounce those recommendations and steer them elsewhere because soon after my car started acting funny again naturally reached out again since the first experience went well and to my surprise even after asking multiple times are you sure nothing is wrong with my vehicle ( which it clearly was if it stopped starting up) I was being told it MAY BE the battery after I just sat and paid all this money for a new battery come to find out it was the starter .. so you mean to tell me figuring out I had a bad starter was THAT hard for you all to figure out???? That s a major problem I would not recommend because that tells me the mechanic your sending out is not very well educated on what they are doing to miss an issue that simple with a diagnostic tester at THAT. Which cause me a lot of wasted time having to find a new michanic which is not easy because I m not from here highly disappointed with overal service, customer service also non chalant didn t even seem like she truly cared to be of any help was told to go get a second opinion not because I said I don t think the problem is what there saying which is usually when you go get a second opinion I was asking for THEM TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS! PERIOD that s what you got to mechanics for RIGHT??? Once again she tried to provide no type of help atleast try to send someone else out who knows what there doing! Losing clientele for absolutely no reason I started to put this on blast to my large tik tok following however I chose not to because I m sure they have a boss that does not even know the shenanigans is going on but I highly suggest fixing this issue before you run into someone else that might not be as considerate or patient and has the platform to end your buisness as you know it.

Would have been 4 stars because price was extremely affordable compared to everyone else and it was a quick turnaround. However, a clip was missed at bottom of grill so grill stuck out on one side upon reinstall. I had to have a friend go back to rig the wiring for the LED lights to an existing fuze which took all of 20 minutes and he fixed the grill back into place! Could have had him do the whole thing with me had I known he was gonna be available to do so before I went to you. Having said that, you were fast and affordable. Just could have been a little more observant and probably could have figured out the LED install while I was there rather than finish without attempting it and tell me to come back to see if you could do it next time and then pay additional labor! I know that I said that if my car wasn't compatible for the LED part that it was cool not to worry about it but it was an easy set up to wire after all. Im not really mad, but it did irritate me because I like your shop and you were highly recommended.

Recently my car was acting oddly and I went to Grumpy's. The gentlemen looked at it and gave an estimate on what needed to be done. They did the work, had it done on time at the exact price. And now my car sounds like my cat. It purrs, meow.I'm grateful for Grumpy's.

The young lady who does the inspections is a real great addition to your shop. She's the one caused me to come there in the first place and I continue to take my business to Grumpy's Auto Repair over and over because of her. She is very capable and kind and communicates well with the customer. I witnessed her working very hard while satisfying several customers needs at the same time. I hope she gets a raise out of this. It's about all I can do for a fine young lady with so much knowledge about cars.

I moved to Crowley about 10 yrs ago, I found grumpy's just by chance driving around one day! I took my then Durango in for some repairs when others I had looked at would have cost me a fortune. They were prompt, respectful, and ACCURATE! I continued to use them throughout the yrs with several vehicles. Fast forward to mid July 2022 I purchased a vehicle from what I thought was a very prominent, well known place. Had MULTIPLE issues with it, and including the warranty. Sent it into dealership, only for them to send it back to me not only not fixed but with more problems then what it went in with and keep it forever. I decided to take it to grumpy's who I should have started with. Tori, not only diagnosed the right issue and was able to fix it. Chris helped me out with finding financing to help me pay for the repairs. I had taken it to two other places that have given me nothing but run around. Tori fixed it on the first try! Now it runs like a champ! Two weeks later, I had the unfortunate situation of body damage to my vehicle. Chris and his team was able to fix everything to make it look brand new! If I need any sort of help with a vehicle. Chris and his team are my mechanics! And I can't forget Jackie her customer service is on point! Highly recommend this shop for ANY auto needs. They have gone above and beyond for me every time I have used their services. First experience was after an auto accident needing body repairs and dealing with my insurance company. Every question was answered and everything came out beyond expectations. My truck had a custom wrap that they were able to match to perfection. Other shops told me there was no way to match the camo wrap; yet Grumpy s proved them wrong without a doubt. Since the first experience this has been my go-to shop and they have maintained the professionalism and care for their customers each time. They do it right the first time and have never tried to up charge with any unnecessary work. As always excellent service and repair! We have been patrons of Grumpy s for many years and will continue to do so! They are honest and perform high quality work at fair prices. Through multiple occasions we have found them to be reliable and trustworthy with their diagnosis and repair suggestions and thorough and competent with repairs. They explain clearly the issue and the options. Our most recent repair was facilitated by Tory. He was very knowledgeable about our issue and was patient and friendly as we discussed the best route for our needs. My check engine light came on, so I took my car to Grumpy s because of their great reviews. I was told that because my car is newer (a 2018) that they d need to order a tool to run a diagnostic test. Once the part came in, I was told I had an evap leak, and it d be about $300 to fix. After having that fixed, the check engine light came on the next day. I took my car back, and several days later I was told both batteries needed to be replaced, so $700 later it was supposedly fixed. Then, the check engine light comes on the next day again! This time they were finally honest with me, and told me they wouldn t be able to fix my car. I m $1,000 in at this point. I called my dad who had the brilliant idea to check for any recalls on the vehicle (Jeep Grand Cherokee), and there was a recall on some of the computer software. I took it to a dealership and had it fixed within a few hours at no cost to me. I feel like a recall should ve been one of the first things checked before I was charged $1,000 for the mechanics to experiment around on my car. Thank goodness they finally admitted to not knowing what was wrong before I was charged anymore. I trusted the wrong people, and that s partly my fault. But I do feel like I was taken advantage of by this garage.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I've used Grumpy's before to replace my brakes. This time I had a wheel bearing issue in the back drivers side. I made the appointment and they did have to get the part in the next day but I was told that they would get the part, install it and have it out at the end of the day which did happen as promised.The only thing that I would say might be improved on is that I called around 3pm to check on it and I was told it was done. Now I don't know if it was just completed and they were getting ready to call or what the situation was. So I could give benefit of the doubt that I caught them just as they were finishing.Coming from a small town (1,200) myself I like to know the shops where I take my vehicles and after finding Grumpy's and the experiences that I've had with them have all been really good. Chris and the staff are incredibly nice, helpful and informative. Based on the quality of work, the staff and location I'm planning on using this shop exclusively for all of our cars.

Avoid these scammers at all costs. I'm not sure if they pay for the good reviews but I fell for them. First thing walking up to the counter, the guy was having a conversation with another employee about football and continued to ignore me even though he saw me standing there. Once he did finally acknowledge me minutes later he had an annoyed tone and asked what I needed. He then said it would take 5 days to get my vehicle in to be looked at. I agreed as I had no other choice. After the 5 days had passed, I never received any follow up phone calls letting me know what was going on. When I did call they promised to call back but never did. When someone finally contacted me, I then approved the recommended repairs which came out to around $2000. They have some of the highest labor rates in the area at $110 an hour but I couldn't afford to keep getting my vehicle transported to different shops so I dealt with it. Once I got my vehicle back I found out they had damaged other parts during the repair. I took it to another shop to confirm it wasn't a coincidence and the second shop confirmed it was shoddy workmanship. When I tried to work with them to fix the damage they claimed it was not them and that they no longer wanted my business and to go else where. It doesn't matter the money you spend with them, once they get it you are yesterdays trash. I hope this never happens to anyone else and If anyone finds an honest mechanic please let me know for future repairs. I found Grumpy s Auto Repair based on the Google reviews, and let me say, they did not disappoint. I needed my driver s side window motor replaced, so Tory located the part and gave me a quote. Well, the wrong part came, so they promptly let me know what happened. They found the right part without having to raise my quote, and the next day my window motor was replaced. This is old school customer service that I appreciate and respect!!! The staff (Tory, Jackie, Danny, and Chris) were courteous and professional, and I highly recommend using their services!Service: Electrical

I did some research on local auto shops and Grumpys had the best reviews. I decided to take a chance on them and I am very glad I did. Great service and the overall costs were very affordable compared to other places like Christian Brothers. They identified my oil leak and replaced the parts again at a very affordable cost. They earned all my business going forward with my cars. Big thanks to Chris, Tori, and his staff.

I m not gonna say my old mechanic used to screw me, but every time my car broke down he d buy a new boat.I figured I d try a new mechanic so I went to see Danny at Grumpy s and wow am I glad I did!Quick, reasonably priced, professional service done by an honest guy!Why are you still reading this? I was passing through Crowley and my 2002 Pontiac started acting a fool per usual. :( I am new to TX so I have not been able to gather my group of trusted mechanics. I am used to having people I trust because I always have older cars. When my car started to shake, not accelerate and threaten to cut off, I pulled over and just googled "Auto Shops near me". This shop came up as the closest and the reviews were good so I made my way to their shop. First off, when I walked in, the sitting area was extremely clean, organized, cool and inviting...that's almost unheard of in an auto shop. The lady that worked up front (Jackie, I believe) greeted me as soon as I entered the door and told me she would be right with me, as she was helping another customer. I told her my issue and she told me they were swamped but she would wait until a guy named Chris was available to see what they could do to help me out. That alone made me happy that they were so attentive and willing to help. Chris immediately got me in, diagnosed my issue (which was a faulty ignition coil) and let me know what I was looking at paying. He quoted me a very fair price. Having older cars all of my adult life and doing research, I have learned a lot about parts, repairs, cost, how to diagnose etc. So mechanics can't just tell me anything and I buy it hook, line and sinker. He was very honest with me and didn't try to talk me into a bunch of other unnecessary repairs. I know this is a long review but if you know how some mechanics can lie, cheat and steal, you know how refreshing it is to run across good honest mechanics. I have not had any issues since having that work done. I have a laundry list of other things to get done and I think I will trust them with my other repairs. I'll start with why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. The amount of time it took to get my car repairs done, took quite a bit longer than anticipated, but they were apologetic for the length of time it took. Otherwise, these guys are great -- took my car in for body repairs to my front bumper and passenger front quarter panel. They did a excellent job. The paint job was perfect. I understand that the bumper the insurance company told them to use was too small and instead of letting it slide and wait for me to view the wrong sized bumper they fought with the insurance company to get the right bumper. I was very pleased with the outcome and they were easy to work with as well. Thanks guys!

I found Grumpy's on Yelp and so I went to them to have them do a used car check on a truck I was buying. Thank the Lord and Chris and the guys!!! They found a blown head gasket on the truck and I returned it promptly.Then, came truck # 2 and it too had a blown head gasket. Right now, you're probably thinking WTH! It was 2 different auto places, but thanks again they saved me from my purchase.Finally, truck # 3 checked out and I moved forward with my purchase.Chris and the guys were great in fitting me in and I now have a truck and a great auto mechanic I trust!! Thank you so much guys.They really are great and their prices are great.

They replaced my Oil Pressure Switch on short notice. Quality work at a fair price. Genuine AC/Delco parts. I recommend Grumpy's when you need work done on your ride.

I was recently referred to this shop after recently acquiring an older model van. It got a tear in the fuel filler line and everyone else told me the part was only available in an assembly and the part alone was about $300 plus about the same for labor to reinstall. Grumpy's found the right part without the whole assembly and charged 1/3rd of what everyone else quoted for the entire job. They are always busy and you need to probably get an appointment or you may be waiting. But there's a real good reason they are busy....great service and fair prices from a shop that knows what they are doing. They have my business....

This place is amazing! We recently had an issue with our Jeep and we're considering going to Mopar since it's close by and they specifically deal with our car. When they quoted us nearly $800 and over a week worth of wait time (with no car), we looked elsewhere. One of my husband's teachers, up at TCU, highly recommended this shop. We were a little hesitant, just because we had never been. But I am so glad we took the chance on them! Not only are they ridiculously friendly but they really know what they're doing. They're honest and did a stellar job. The issue that Mopar wanted to gouge us for, cost us about 275 and around 3 hours. And it worked. My car is back to it's previous awesome condition. These guys have earned some forever customers. We will go to them with all of the work we need from here on out.

We have used Grumpy's for years. Chris has always been honest and he only hires the best employee's that are the same way. He is the best !! Just went to his new place just down the road and it is beautiful !!! The concrete floors are painted and look like hardwood floors!! Whoever did the job is a genius!!! Dropped off on December 22nd for a timing belt repair and as of January 9th never started working on my car or calling me about the status of my car. Don't recommend and will never take another vehicle to them EVER.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

They didn't find anything! I'd brought in my car prepared to spend money I didn't have...and come to find out it just needed some adjusting. As someone unfamiliar with the business, its hard not to think how easily he could have said that it was something we'd previously speculated about (when initially trying to ballpark what could be wrong) and collected a nice payout with me never having been the wiser.As someone new to the area who knows nothing about cars, I can't tell you how much of a relief this visit ended up as and I can't thank Jim enough for that, I've definitely found my new mechanic. Brought my Nissan up to see if they could fix the bumper after I was hit. Chris found parts within 10 minutes and was extremely helpful. Very fair and honest! Jackie was also great over the phone so thank you for helping!
