Weary travelers need a place to park your RV/camper and you're looking for a homey, rustic atmosphere look no further than Hilltop. This review is going to be a little different than my previous ones as the conditions behind why we came here are also a little different. My husband called around to numerous places looking for a place for our son and I to stay where he felt we would be safe as he had to leave us and head back to Louisiana to be locked into work because of Hurricane Delta. This place welcomed us with open arms and the owners are very friendly people. They even offered to move our camper for me as I didn't have a vehicle to tow it myself when a 50 amp hookup became available (I declined as at home in our driveway we have been using a 30 amp hookup and have learned what to turn off to use what appliance and I don't like to inconvenience anyone). Our first day here Kellie offered to let us feed the horses some carrots and made sure we had all we needed knowing that we were fleeing yet another storm to hit SWLA.As our stay comes to a close here, my son is sad that we're going to be leaving soon. He made quick friends with the owners grandson and has spent as much time with them as he has here.As much as we needed a place to stay, feeling "at home" somewhere that wasn't our actual home made the whole experience of evacuating far less stressful. My husband returned late last night and the plan was to pull out today and head home, but we will be staying one more day so he can relax and get a dose of the "home" our son and I have had the privilege to experience the last 4 nights before we get back to the huge dollop of reality it is we have waiting for us back at our actual home.Amenities offered: free washer and dryer access, horse stalling, 30 and 50 amp hookups with sewer. There is NO WIFI and you need to pay with cash or check. Animals are welcome but dogs must be leashed and it is requested you pick up after them.

No frills, no thrills but just how I like it. Gravel lots and semi decent wifi and you won't get great tv reception. But, if you're looking for a place to rest your head at night this place will get er done. Well maintained and real nice hosts that'll greet you with a smile. Verizon works ok here and you likely won't get that further down 287. If traffic noise bothers you then you might try getting a spot further from the highway but I sleep like a rock so no worries here.

Definitely a one of a kind place to stay, short or long term!I ve been here for 2 years; Very quiet, clean, and safe! Perfectly located between the surrounding towns to where you can easily access the things you need (groceries, shopping, etc.) and also convenient for commuting to work. The owners are amazing people, absolutely love them! I recommend this RV park if you re looking for a place to stay!

Very quiet place. Free laundry. Wi-Fi comes and go, have to have the tenants reset the router often. Wish they had a set date for the mowing. So you could move your outdoor furniture and not have tall grass until the next time they mow or whenever you are in the middle of grilling.

Me and my husband have been at this RV park for 8 months and the couple who runs it, are some of the best and most understanding people we have ever met. Such a nice quiet place and such friendly people, I couldn t have been happier where I was. They have gone above and beyond as great friends to us, we will always stay in contact with them, love them so much. Great prices and just 20 min from two large city s on both sides. As well as free washing and drying complimentary to the tenants and wifi, not to mention how safe if feels and very clean.

Our rig broke down on a busy highway. Our roadside assistance called this park and made a reservation for us. While we were still on the highway Paul saw us and stopped. He stayed with us until we finally got a wrecker and then led us to the park. Meanwhile his wife, Kelly, called to be sure we were okay. They treated us like family, even giving us freshly la8d eggs to take with us. We were there well past checkout time the next day but they wouldn t take any extra money. These people are the best. Please visit their park. .

We evacuated from Hurricane Delta to Hilltop RV Ranch Park with a brand new RV (our first), in a borrowed truck, arriving in the middle of the night. The owners, Kelly and Paul literally helped us do all of our setup.... did I mention it was night and raining? They were kind and calm and really helped to make us feel welcome and safe during an extremely stressful time for our family. They also were so patient with our 6 year-old who fell in love with their dog, sissy. Paul also helped us when it came time to load up and go.Their place is beautiful and serene. There is free onsite laundry. There s a Brookshire Brothers just up 287, and it s a short drive to Lufkin or Livingston if you want a little more shopping wise. Our familywhole-heartedly recommends the Hilltop RV Ranch Park.

Too expensive for just an overnight stay. No Wi-Fi . Wish I would have known before I came here. They only take cash no cards. Don't tell you that on the phone either. Very disappointed but too tired to go elsewhere.
