Needed a new alternator for my wife s car. Called several places to get a quote and the Mechanic Shop was the most affordable with excellent reviews. Over the phone, they were extremely transparent with the cost of labor and the part itself, and guaranteed same day repair. I dropped the car off right at opening and they had the vehicle ready in only a few hours. I greatly appreciate the professionalism and efficiency of their work. I ll be coming back for all future repairs.

I am extremely happy with the service I received from the mechanics here. I don t believe any other shop would have fought as hard with my car warranty as Brad did. He got things covered that I never believed he could. They are excellent mechanics, they are reasonably priced and honest. They are the best. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Had my Chevy Malibu LT towed to The Mechanic Shop on a recommendation after a cement boulder went under the front of my car on the expressway rendering it completely dead.The Guys at the Shop were not only compassionate to my situation, but repaired all issues in an extremely timely fashion. Cost for repairs were very reasonable and their communication throughout was excellent.I've had many repair shop experiences over the years, these guys BY FAR are The Best all the way around.Thanks A Million to them All!!!Highly recommend their services!

Fixed my brakes and let me know there was something else wrong.They said it would be ready in 3 more days, they had it for 2 weeks and kept lying about what was going on. i got conflicting stories about why it was taking so long from every person i talked to from weather to parts (which they didn't replace). I don't think they actually did anything after the brakes.I have an invoice from a Master ASE certified mechanic saying they messed up some repairs, didn't replace the part they said they replaced, and that they didn't do the timing adjustment.I drove my car to them and couldn't drive it all of the way home after their "work."I gave these guys $700 for the privilege of having my car destroyed by them.

I have been coming to The Mechanic Shop for almost a year now for various car repairs and services, and I'm a little more impressed with each visit. Brad is very personable and takes time to explain the ins and outs of what is going on with my car, what should be repaired now, and what to expect down the line with possible repairs. Affordable and honest prices, too - much more reasonable than other places I have looked in the area. And a bonus waiting area that feels like a living room or a spa. Highly recommend Eddie and the crew for any car needs. He was very nice and communicative during my car process he reassured me every step of the way the things that were wrong and what needed fixed. I took my car there they had a wookie mechanic working on it you can tell him you know what he was doing he was using to different types of diagnose machines on my car and he still couldn't figure it out. everyday time I went up there you would tell me you'll call me around lunch time and he wouldn't you would tell me you're gone by the end of the day and they wouldn't they charged me $240 for 2 days and they still couldn't figure it out so I just went and picked up my car and took it to another mechanic. I don't recommend anyone taking the car there

Brad is an amazing mechanic. He is always fair and always on time. I'm happy I was referred to him by a close friend. Brad and his crew provide excellent communication when diagnosing my vehicle. Once the assessment was completed and discussed with me, they repaired my vehicle in a timely matter. More than satisfactory service. Got me in and out rather quickly, considering the time needed for the work. They made sure I was comfortable while I was sitting on the couch in their waiting room, as I had come in from out of town. Even offered to let me use a loaner car if I had any errands to run if I needed it. Stellar service from this mechanic shop, and would recommend to anyone.Services: Transmission, Exhaust

I first met Brad 5yrs ago when he came over to inspect a car I d purchased. It had transmission problems. He came, looked it over and diagnosed the issue - *AND* he didn t charge me a service for doing so.Fast forward to now - Brad & The Mechanic Shop is the only place I take my vehicle for everything - from a/c work to tune ups.They are professional, expert in car repairs, fast on turnaround time and the rates are extremely reasonable.Brad and The Mechanic Shop have kept me on the road making sure that my vehicle is safe and have extended the life of several vehicles. Brad and his crew are THE BEST! Anytime I have an issue they get me in immediately and have the problem fixed by the end of the day. If I so much as hear a noise I've never heard before, they will check out my entire Jeep to ensure everything is ok. Additionally, they are excellent at communicating with me. 10/10 recommend!

Brad and his crew have saved me many times! Most reliable and trustworthy shop in town. I don't even live here, I live several cities away. Wouldn't hesitate to make the drive if it ment I could be charged fairly and have his quality dependable work. So, let me just start with WOW! Amazing service even on a weekend (I know you must have a life away from the shop, so thank you)We had pulled in for a starter issue, and after seeing the prices and the fact that you guys had availability right then was stellar.We ended up doing AC refrigerant, starter, plugs and wires, fuel filter and something else, I forget. But I left them at 11 and got a call at 2:18 to come pick it up. I don t know how you even had time to get the parts that quickly.All in all, thank you so much. I was on vacation far from home enjoying the Texas gulf coast when I wake one morning to find a rear axle seal leak and a puddle of oil under the rear wheel. A call to the nearest Ford dealer and they tell me they might get me in at the end of next week (gasp). I stop and see Brad and he tells me he can rearrange a few things and get me in that afternoon!! In at noon and out at 5:00! Brad and his crew absolutely made my vacation. If I lived in Corpus The Mechanic Shop would be my shop of choice for all things automotive. Many thanks to all.

This place is great! As a young female who s dad lives in a different state getting my car serviced is always stressful but the mechanic shop has always treated me with respect. I ve brought my car here multiple times for a few different reasons (engine mount issues, oil leaks, electrical issues, ignition replacement) and they ve always done a great job, quickly and at a fair price.I ll continue to bring my car here for sure and definitely recommend it to others.Services: Electrical, Oil change

Our alternator needed to be replaced and we were from out of town near whitecap. We had the van towed on a Saturday and they advised us they would get to it the following Monday. We were given an estimate closer to 5 but they had it ready to go just after 1. Their staff was friendly and kept us posted. We appreciate the help!

I was visiting Corpus Christi and the day before I was going to head back home, my Mustang's start system would not turn off, the break lights stayed one and I feared my battery would be shot! That Sunday after a minor worry session, I met Brad, the kind hearted friend of my friends who happened to be THE guy from the Mechanic Shop! He came to my rescue on Sunday afternoon, and quickly identified the problem! The brake pedal stop bumper had disintegrated! He fixed my issue in less then 10 minutes and it was done! They knew what was wrong with my wife's Mini Cooper when I explained the problem to them. My wife had it in 2 different shops here and 1 in San Antonio. They couldn't figure it out. Car was fixed on time and for the price quoted to me. What else could you want?

This was the closest mechanic to where we were staying. Asked him to completely check out the front end of my truck as something was loose on my steering and replace a fitting on my passenger side airbag because I have a 3000 mile drive back to Canada. He supposedly found a leak on a rad hose fitting which cost me $200 to fix said that he couldn t just buy a clamp but needed a whole new hose. Still can t find this new hose he installed only a new clamp. He then order me a new track bar suppose to cost $100. The one he ordered didn t fit so with out telling me he went and bought on from dodge for $312, he charged me an hour install $100, an hour of his time to pick up the track bar from dodge $100. I could of bought a HD aftermarket track bar for the same price and it would of been much stronger. The best part is instead of fixing my rear passenger airbag he cut the line for my drivers side bag and left it not fixed because he couldn t find a fitting. I waited a week of him continually saying that he ordered the wrong fitting and that he needed to re order. The entire time never called me once to communicate anything. Would say he would call in the morning never would so I would have to call in the afternoon to ask where things were at. His final solution to fix the air bag was to ad an adapter to the wrong size part he order 3 times. At this time I finally had enough and ordered the part my self from Amazon took 5 min to install and over night shipping. Not sure what took a week to figure out it was a 1/4 fitting instead of 1/2 or 3/8?After everything was done he charged my $700 to fix a track bar which is two bolts. wrecked my airbag and change a rad fitting. He also never went through my front end like I asked never check brakes or anything else. Hands down worst mechanic I have ever been to and wouldn t suggest anyone else go to him either.

Worst experience. He has had my Jeep since September 2020. Was supposed to replace the engine & transmission parts & labor $4500. Told me in October 2020 he had an engine & transmission so I needed to pay him $2200 so I did. Come November I asked about the status, no response so a friend calls & he tells him that he was needing money for labor so my friends sends him $300. Come December when I inquire about my Jeep I get told he was waiting for it to be shipped. Come January same answer, but this time I see a text that shows the engine & transmission weren't purchased til December. So, I was lied to. Finally in February the engine & transmission so up & he collects another $1000. I ask how long it will take, he replied 2 weeks max...here it is May 29, 2022 & I still don't have my Jeep. All I get is excuses & lied to.I gave him ample time.I gave a specific date I needed my Jeep back. He missed that date now my plans are ruined. On top of that my registration is due but I can't get the safety inspection done because I can't drive it because he hasn't done the job.I bought the Jeep in May 2021. He has had my Jeep for over 8 months.Do not take your vehicle to him especially if you are woman.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Quick reasonable back on the road in about 2 days time. Brad the spare you told me was ok was not, blew out on me! I would still come back for more repairs when needed.EDIT: a recent visit to the Mechanic Shop has me believing I may have made the wrong choice in coming to this mechanic shop.Just be careful and get a second opinion if possible.(saved me some $$ getting 2nd opinion!

Nobody can get you in and out faster for what I needed done. They don't even mark up the parts prices I had called around about and were ok with me saving money and ordering parts online for them to install.
