OK so about a month ago in Meridian Idaho we went to our local Midas and had the water pump and thermostat replaced before our travels began in our travel trailer. We get to New Mexico and the car begins to warm up a bit. So we get to Texas and it goes from bad to worse as we make it to Corpus Christi. Well today we went to see if we could replace the thermostat and we ended up here. This shop is so helpful and replaced the thermostat under the warranty and car runs fantastic now! Didn't cost anything thankfully and another shop was going to charge us over 600 to do it. Thank you Midas Corpus Christi!

These guys are consistently honest, fair, and friendly. The service manager, Steven, is courteous, knowledgeable, and helps you figure out options. Tristan was my tech and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He even called to let me know my vehicle was ready, and he left a message when I couldn t be reached.

I did not get my car fixed here. The person in the front was nice , however they were either not knowledgeable or trying to scam me. Took my car there because every time I braked my car squeaked. Was told I needed knew rotors and brake pads and that it would be around almost 700 dollars. I spoke to my brother was told rotors rarely go bad and to feel around to see if they are scratched or have bumps, they were as smooth as they can be. Paid a guy 40 bucks to change my front brakes and it s been almost a week no squeaking . Problem solved save 600 bucks. Would not recommend this place might get told something is wrong when it s not.

The manager was awesome over the weekend I made my visit. The guys had my car out in a jiffy. They were all great at communicating and getting straight to the point. I didn't feel pressured to purchase anything urgently. I'm thankful for that.

Terrible management. I used these guys to change my brakes and rotors. My rotors completely rusted after 1 month. When i took it back they told me their rotors don't come coated, i then asked if all of their customers whos rotors are replaced rust that way after a month and his reply was "YES". Wow..... Steve (manager) made NO effort to make it right other than I would have to pay more money to get it fixed. "Pretty much special order new coated rotors to install. SMH...... never using them again. I suggest you don't either.Service: Brakes

Women need to stay away from this place and men too. They will definitely take advantage and lie to you telling you your car need parts that don't need replaced. I went for a simple tune-up to replace spark plugs even though my car started and ran with no problem and added an oil change. Steven told me I had a bad coil and needed a new belt. My car showed no symptoms that warranted a new coil. He charged me over $200 for a coil that retails for $75 and that was the part only. The belt had only 40,000 miles on it and Hyundai dealership said 200 miles ago that it was good. I learned they don't usually need replaced until around 90,000 miles. So it didn't need replaced either. The total bill was $730.56 for work that took 30 minutes. That's for spark plugs, a belt, a coil and oil change. All costing less than $75. I contacted Midas corporate offices by mail and explained the situation and said further that I could no longer trust Midas and wanted a partial refund. They forwarded my letter to Steven. He called me and didn't have much to say. I had to keep saying 'did you read my letter, because he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. I told him I wanted a partial refund. He offered me a credit. I said no, a partial refund. Why would I want to go back to a shop that cheated me. He said he'd have to submit for a refund. I called back a few weeks later to check on the refund status and he would not answer the phone and I tried several times. He eventually blocked my number. I held off from writing this review until now to give them the chance to do the right thing. But they haven't. I see their 1 star ratings are starting to add up.Update: 2/29/2024 - I've read these reviews since I posted mine and many are obviously fake written for the purpose of raising their 3 star rating up to 4. Pay attention to the low rating reviews because they are all similar. I went there for years to have my oil changed with no problems but the minute I needed work done, they scammed me.Services: Auto engine tuning, Oil change

There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO other shops I would take my Truck to other than THIS SHOP RIGHT HERE!****3209 S. Padre Island Dr****Home of the BEST SERVICE!!!BEST SERVICE IN ALL of Corpus Christi!! Marcos the Top Technician there is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! He brought my Truck back to life!!Runs better now than the day I bought it!!!

I'm angry with your services,4 years ago my husband took my car because the air conditioner was not working well supposedly they fixed it they charged 800 over time the problem continued we did not claim.Now in May I take the car again due to the same problem, the air conditioner was charged 475, it is not cooling, it continues with the same problem, it does not want to solve it, they spoke badly to my husband, which I told him that he took it, they already fixed it, they are very irresponsible, they did not I recommend

Had an issue with services rendered on my husband's vehicle. Have not had any success in resolving the issue with store manager Mario Munoz. Contacted corporate and basically just given the run-around. Corporate states that you must allow 72 hours for manager to provide resolution. Never received a call from store manager. Corporate created another request and 72 hour window starts over. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!! YOU WILL BE OVERCHARGED AND RIPPED OFF.UPDATE:. As per Midas corporate customer relations, each store is independently owned and operated so they cannot do anything. It's already been a couple weeks and the store manager has not contacted me. SO ANY ISSUES WILL NOT BE ADDRESSED. I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!And since I cannot directly reply to the store owner's response to this post, I will reply here. I already filled out the information on that link. That's how I got in touch with corporate from the beginning. Obviously, it was of no help.

earlier this morning i went to Midas for troubleshooting a transmission fluid build up on my transmission, the lead mechanic seemed annoyed that (1) the car was a manual transmission , (2) proceeded to get agitated that i was having problems driving my car onto the hoist, he started to yell making me feel rushed and embarrassed for having problems driving my own car onto the hoist. 5 minutes later he calls me into the bay to show me that the leak was coming from the axel seal of my passenger side cv axel and that the boot was torn. he said that i should replace the cv axles and axel seal instead of just replacing the damaged boot and axel seal. also recommending that i should replace the other axel and seal as well because of slight play within the axel. ( slight play is not actual reason for replacement of axels, axels are common to have slight play from in/out up and down motion. the axel was doing no physical damage to the car besides the seal having a leak.) when i said oh yeah the slight play he nodded. he quoted me $1,349 for replacement of both axels and axel seals. i feel as if i should of spoken up and said well its just the seal having physical problems causing a leak. i feel the main reason of my visit ended up turning into a replacement of suspension that was still holding up quite well. i feel like the mechanic should of recommended just replacing the seal ( which was causing the leak ) which was my reason for the diagnosis. i do not feel as if the diagnosis was handled properly. a quick 5 minute view turned into a expensive bill. at the end of the day i did not feel satisfied with the way the situation was handled. i do not like to bash people/businesses but it seems like customers are sometimes spoken for instead of speaking themselves. customer service on the mechanics side was impetuous, potent and delude.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Steve was an amazing person. You know what they say First impressions last a long time and that is what he and his team have done. He didn t make me feel nervous or scared like people are when going to an establishment for the very first time. He also listened to the concerns that I had pertaining to my vehicle. Timing for the work performed on my vehicle was also on point. However when it comes to my vehicle slow and steady is better than to rush and have a horrible outcome. Overall 10/10 service with a new customer acquired in the process.Service: Auto tire replacement

I'm actually sitting outside watching them work on my car.ALOT of young guys who keep pulling out their phones to text instead of concentrating on the job at hand. The guy working on my car installed the transmission pan bolts with a battery powered ratchet which is not advised because it could strip the bolts. He also did not torque them so they are all the same.All in all, I won't be back. I only came here because I was in a bind to get my fluid and filter changed and every place else was either booked or closed.The guy at the counter who I talked to wouldn't even make eye contact while talking to me. He was not friendly at all and was the first sign of a poorly run business.Now that I see all of this I'm worried that the fluid and filter change was done incorrectly.Not a professional place at all and I will never come back.UPDATE: Just a few minutes later they put my car back down and I did not see a flush machine. I asked them if they flushed it and they said no. (I told the guy at the counter I wanted one and he quoted me with one) So I told them I paid $428 and want the flush I paid for. They are now flushing it I suppose.

Very friendly service and overall quality work done on my vehicle. They were even kind enough to get me the best deal in town on my brake job that would have otherwise cost hundreds more at other places. Thanks again for everything y'all do! Will come back for future work needing to be done.

I always feel very well taken care of here. They are prompt with their service, and friendly. As a woman, I feel confident that these folks are not taking advantage of me. They let you know, if anything else is going on with your vehicle, but don't force you to make repairs if they deem it safe to drive. I will keep doing business with them. I am very satisfied.

I went here to get 2 lug nuts put on and they charged me $184 bucks- that is just CROOKED and wrong!!! I can see why all the bays are empty now. You literally just lost my forever business and will never get anything from me again and seems like you are okay with being a One and Done shop!Stay away from these guys this was quadroople what it cost and just a shame you guys do this- I WOULD HATE TO SEE HOW YOU TREAT WOMEN WHO DONT KNOW ANY BETTER!!

Great service. I took both vehicles in to the shop at different times of the day for state inspection. The guy behind the counter offered my daughter and I a bottle of water both times we were in the shop. I there was a small wait time due to other customers but it went by very quick. I will bring my business to this shop. Keep up the good work

My wife and I were visiting the beach for vacation. Drove over a log on beach and quickly found funny sounds while driving. Decided on Midas and I was very pleased with my whole experience. From moment I called to inquire on services, Steve the Manager was extremely professional and introduced not only himself but the service tech Rudy who would work on our vehicle.They were able to inspect our vehicle and find a solution for the problem. They quoted an hour and half for some extensive work due to damage and they beat that time by 30 mins, Rudy was a beast had us welded and safety checked inside of an hour. They really took care of us on pricing and provided multiple options, went the extra mile in all regards.If we lived in Corpus Christi they would have a repeat customer for all my vehicles in regards to maintenance and unexpected issues. I highly recommend this location.Services: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance

So my mother in law took her car to get serviced and a wheel alignment. She need 4 O2 sensors changed. 1000 dollars are you kidding me. I have a good word about Midas because the one I used in Virginia was amazing. Anytime I got work done there they always waived the diagnostic fee. I m sure they did it as a thank you for giving us business. I feel like this stir took advantage of a women who doesn t know to much about cars. So I will never recommend or go to Midas ever again.

They try to screw people over with added stuff that is not necessary and the price is way higher even more than firestone.. the guy was rude because i wanted a quote and he thought i was going to get what i needed done right away.. they took advantage of my brother for not knowing anything about cars.. i just came to brake check but be smart and shop around thw guy was really rude he said he was a manager

I went to midas in corpus cristi, TX for car oil change $17.99 .but he Refused to do it. I was doing oil change with midas for sence 1990.kansa city MO. Decatur illinois. Victoria, TX. Now he said they doing it but not my place. He says he go with nissan recommended. But nissan says you can use either 0w20 or 5w20.that means he doesn't want to there coupon & he wants to charge me higher price.

I took my vehicle in to get looked at. I asked them to give me an itemized list on what repairs the car needed done. I also asked that they check the fluid levels especiallysince I would be traveling long-distance. I was given a list of what needed to be repaired and told they checked the fluid levels and that they were fine. When I got home, I asked a mechanic friend of mine to look at the car so I could get a second opinion and some advice. Not only was there nothing wrong with my alternator but there was ABSOLUTELY NO OIL IN MY CAR! I was so hurt that they nearly cost me a new engine and the possibility of getting stranded in the middle of nowhere. My trek to the valley involves a 60 mile area that has no service stations and usually no cell phone signal. I can't imagine what would have taken place had I not had the opportunity to get a second opinion. They didn't even offer to correct the situation much less call me to apologize.

The manager was extremely nice and professional. He gave me some of the best advice ever You should take your truck to 4 Wheel Specialty . That s where he takes his truck. Which is what I wish I did before I gave them way too much money for work that took 3 visits to accomplish.

My car had thousands of dollars in damage caused by the lift at this location when they installed an exhaust on my car. After spending what seems forever trying to get their insurance to cover the damages they have refused to do so. I will now have to take this situation into legal action. The absolute worst experience. Hopefully something like this doesnt happen to other customers but just remember you were warned of how this company operates. It goes to show how they value their customer relations..... if you do use this place take pictures of the sides of your vehicle and maybe watch the car get put on the lift.Service: Exhaust
