Jim is a great guy for sure.. Derek and the rest of the owners.. and lying scumbags!!! Be aware corpus Christi your transmissions are not completely being rebuilt to reusing half of your stuff that's in there and only replacing what needs to be fixed.. Even when your warranty kicks in they replace the parts with used parts you guys will never know that but I do... Derek is a joke!!! This place is not where honesty and an integrity is...

I've had routine maintenance and minor repairs on all of my vehicles here, and they've always been great. One of my work trucks was in need of a new transmission, so I called around, and even other shops said Greatstate would be the best option because I wanted a fully built badass towing machine.So far, it has been absolutely amazing! 100� better than the sorry excuse of a transmission it had prior. Jim Anders has been extremely helpful the entire time. I had a whole list of questions and requests. He walked me through the different options and pricing for them.

I came in from out of town and my F150 Eco Boost started running funny I knew it could possibly to be my trans, I had 104,000 miles on it, I called the next morning Jim was awesome told me to bring it in, he reassured me they d get the diagnostics done and let me know as soon as they had that and then if I had any repairs that my diagnostics would ve be free, he called me that evening that I needed a torque converter I approved the service and the very next day I picked up my truck!!! This is one of THE BEST place to take your vehicle for any transmission issue! They figured out exactly what was wrong and got my truck fixed FAST! I couldn t be more than Thankful to Jim and the service techs for taking care of me and my Truck! I truly believe God knew my truck needed helped and I was in the right area for the right Transmission Company to fix it!! Praise God and GreatState Transmission, their service advisor & techs !!! My truck runs like it s brand new again!! I m so happy and grateful Sincerely,Ms Texas

Once again, Great State Transmission proved themselves to be the best. They have performed all my transmission and associated repairs with excellence! The staff is always courteous, helpful and very professional. The technicians are fast and always produce quality work.I wouldn't take my transmission work any other place!

My truck started having issues on my way back from laredo tx, couldn't find the problem but my OD light was flashing and Trans error on my display, I figured it was my transmission going out. Thinking the worst and the money to fix it was on my mind. I called Greatstate and they diagnosed it to only being a cut wire. These guys are magnificent and saved me from misery. Thks Greatstate Transmission for the quick fix...Will definitely recommend

This place gives top notch service. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Honesty and integrity definitely is experienced here. Fast quick service was in and out in less than an hour. Price is very affordable. Will definitely be going back for service on all my vehicles.

The guys at this shop are so kind. They have a Christian foundation and are open to working with everyone. For a full transmission rebuild, they were able to finish in 2.5 days and even worked with us on a discount. Would highly recommend.

We broke our Suburban's transfer case on the beach this year and these guys helped us out at the last minute. No B.S., gave us an exact estimate and the truck was done the next day! Thank you again, we hit the beach again with no problems!!

I had my transmission rebuilt and they did a great job. Recently, I had my my carrier bearing replaced by them. They accidentally left a dent in the drive shaft. Not only did they repair the dent, but they had the entire drive shaft rebuilt! They truly stand by their work and beyond. I was speechless by the customer service! They dont just have integrity as their motto, they actually live by it. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I cared about for service. Also,, great Christian values! I will always return there for any services that they provide. I dont easily give good reviews...they have to be earned. Great state definitely earned my 5 star review.Service: Transmission

The tag line for these guys references "honesty and integrity", and I must say I concur. I'd add flexibility and fairness too. Sadly there aren't many businesses left who will work with you outside the box. These guys helped me keep a "labor of love" vehicle out of the salvage yard and get her back on the road at a fair price, and were a pleasure to deal with. Honest and straight up, no messing about. I have no hesitation recommending them with 5 stars.

Great state made me an appointment quickly. Luis was very attentive and super helpful. Dropped my vehicle off at 3:30 and it was ready in an hour. Performed a transmission fluid and filter change on a 2012 Ram 2500. Their lobby has a few chairs and water bottle service. Very clean.

No complaints! I have a unique car, at least in my experience with the old gal. 1970 Mustang with an AOD conversion. Doesn't sound too difficult, right? In this case, I guess a buddy of mine and I put the incorrect flexplate on the engine 50,000 miles ago, so when the transmission began having issues, they also had issues.Long story short, my AOD transmission had issues shifting, staying in first gear and making metallic noises. I dropped the pan and noticed a thick layer of metal shavings. Out of my wheelhouse, I had the car towed and they got right to work. All in all, they went through 3 -4 flexplates before finding the right one.Definitely recommended for any and all transmission circumstances!

My wife took one of our cars in to get the transmission fluid replaced. The work was fine, but she felt that it took longer than it should have. Part of this was because one of the employees, Luis, went back and started conversing with the mechanic who was supposed to be doing the work. She said she had to go back to the bay to get them to bring the car out. They were finished with it, but it was still in the bay.

Im going to pick my 03 grand marquis up in an hour, so far the service has been excellent, they charged me very little on top of my final bill to have my car towed 35 miles to their shop. Fully confident that it will be fixed right the first time i went ahead and sent my review. 5 star service.

I was told that if your vehicle has more than 100,000 miles on it to take it to Greatstate Transmission. My daughter's vehicle needed Transmission fluid and a flush and Luis was able to get us in and out the same day. The car runs great! Thank you Greatstate and than you Luis!

My husband took our GMC Envoy here to get our transmission rebuilt. They said it was going to be up to 6 - 7 buisness days. It only took them ONE day. Granted they had one ready for our truck. This place is amazing. And the warranty is good too. Truck is driving awesome the first day will update if that changes but so far so good! Awesome work guys!Service: Transmission

Had a bad experience! Spoke to an employee who gave me one price, then wanted to charge me up! I felt that their diagnosis was the same thing they told me at O'Reilly's for free. Great state charged me 110 dollars for the same thing O'Reilly's told me, then wanted to charge me an extension diagnosis, because, they needed to drop the pan to do diagnosis. Which is why I noticed red flags. Sorry, this was just my experience. I pray y'all have a better one.

They were very receptive in giving me realistic options and price projections over the phone also they gave me an approximate repair time I wasn't asking for quotes but nobody in town would do that so they won my business.

Great people, excellent work and quick turnover! My husband and were stranded on Port Aransas, they towed our truck and had a brand new transmission installed in 3 days (They said it would be 5-7 days, which we were fine with, that is a lot of work) well worth it! Thank you Greatstate !

Don and Terry were wonderful to work with. I got my diagnostics done by them and I will definitely be recommending more people to them! I was stressed out and probably didn't make any sense but they handled it and even made me laugh :) Thanks guys!!

Great service even though I was down to one vehicle for 2 weeks. Getting to and from work was hard. The only inprovement needed is communication it took longer than anticipated. They need to call more often.
