Tried to get a an inspection at several places but all of the places were super busy. It so happened I stopped by Coastal Auto Technician and there was only one person ahead of me. So it was super fast for the inspection. Friendly staff...they only take cash for inspections. $7.00 . They do have an ATM on site. I most definitely will return.

New to Town and the ladies at the front desk were beyond helpful. Quick and easy appointment, oil change all at reasonable prices and great customer service. Was very nervous about getting an inspection as a female it can be intimidating. The second I walked in was greeted by 2 lovely ladies quick and friendly and honest service was out in less then 10 mins. Will definitely be back for any needs!!!

I came in as a walk in on Saturday afternoon for a state inspection. It was $7.00 cash and very quick in and out. I think I was there literally only three minutes. They are very friendly and quick. This mechanic said I didn't have either of the 2 catalytic converters my truck is supposed to have when in fact I do. And he tried to charge me 1750.00 for a part I found for 240.00. He rips ppl off and gets away with it with his charm

I used this man services for almost 10 years. He traded out his front desk staff and service decreases with each visit. Service is always slow. I get half the work I need done. The older man owner is great but I go for work not friendship. We still use them just for major work we go elsewhere. It would be nice to see him get the front desk and staff sorted out and return to his high standard of service.

I go annually to get my state inspection done, never disappointed, always friendly faces, smiles, good positive energy from the staff, especially Iris Serrano, Iris you rock, continue giving awesomely amazing service, all staff members are rockstars, all have amazing energy surging through them as a team. Tried taking my vehicle to replace my ac belt..said I needed a whole new ac compressor that would cost 1500-2000, though I never had problems with it before and noticed my belt was just missing in the first place. Also takes advantage of good paying customers by convincing them they need more work done than actually needed, and makes sure to overprice. Have noticed a trend with an older friend of mine in which they seem to always need something done on top of what they've just paid for. Good mechanics, but found more reasonable/honest places to take my vehicles.

I went for a vehicle inspection and sticker. They had me and four other customers in and out in 20-30 minutes. They were friendly. They accept digital auto insurance documents. Cash only for inspection. There are a few seats inside to sit and wait.

Rude!! Called ahead to find out if an appointment was needed to get an inspection, was told I didn't. So I went during my lunch hour and noticed a sign stating cash only for inspections. The receptionist should've mentioned that over the phone in the first place not to mention her dismissive attitude when I arrived.What a waste of time!

I have been taking my vehicles to coastal auto for many years now. The owner David, is very diligent about getting things done in a timely manner. You can trust them to do honest work. I highly recommend them.

Just did State inspection there and was very quick. No line and waited less than 20 minutes. Only issue was they are currently only taking cash for state inspections and their ATM is not working.

I am going to echo the other review in saying this is the WORST PLACE EVER!DO NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR PRECIOUS DOLLARS OR TIME HERE!I made the mistake of going to this stupid place last year, and let me tell you I have no idea why I went again this past January for my inspection sticker. Last year in January 2014, they were out of inspection stickers three times!! How do you run out of stickers constantly? I waited for Coastal Auto Technicians to receive more stickers and they finally got more, but when I left I noticed there was a nail stuck in my left rear tire!I contacted them and spoke with the owner, and he was trying to say that he was not responsible giving me the run around. I told him I would bring my car back, so he can take out this nail that should not have been needlessly lying on the ground in the first place. Instead I took my vehicle to Discount Tire near Starplex, and Randy was super friendly and helpful. They took care of me.So this past January I went for an inspection sticker at this place, because it's right by my house, and the immature diva that was helping me was so rude, and she really needed an attitude adjustment. She acted like I was an inconvenience when there was NOBODY even there! My car ended up failing, because it needed new windshield wipers.Coastal Auto Technicians will still charge $14.50 for your inspection sticker regardless if your vehicle passes or fails which is absurd. I sure as hell did not get my windshield wipers there. I asked to see what they looked like, and they looked super cheap (quality). I took off, went to O'Reilys, put the wipers on and returned 30 minutes later. When the little brat pulled my car up after the inspection was done, she turned off my car. She went back inside and I gave her a dirty look. There was really no need to turn my car off. It would have taken me five seconds to get into my car! If she hates her job, then quit and find a new one. I don't care for that gentleman either, the owner. That place rips you off, and they're so rude!! Do yourself a favor and don't ever go there. Tell your friends don't ever go there. Save yourself the trip.

Got my wife's car and my truck's inspection done here. Young lady let me know that my wife are was leaking oil under hood. Upon inspection I realized that I hadn't closed the oil cap correctly. Glad she let me know!!

Did you inspect your tires before you went in there? No I'm sure. People pick those up every where. I've used coastal auto teck for years now and haven't had any problems. The owner is strait forward, despite how bad the news sounds. Will continue to use them, and so will my friends and family.

Prices are ridiculous chraged me over 700 on a ball joint replacement that would have cost me easily under 200 at any other mechanic, and then they say they actually use genuine parts from the dealerships, when they gave me the ticket it said autozone. They are a huge rip off, dont waste your time or your money, and the manger is extremely rude. Wish i could give no stars!
