Extremely frustrated with how they managed my expectations. I called to get an oil change and they said it wasn't too busy and it should take about 30-40 min. Showed up and it took 5 hours (!!!!!!!! Ahhh!!! I promise I am not exaggerating). They did my oil change, cabin, air filter, and they recommend cleaning my air vents (they said would take another 40 min). So my expectations were 1.5-2 hours max. Very different than 5 hours! They were nice but there's a lot of value in not just being nice "I'm sorry this may take a bit longer than we thought" and direct and communicating that the plan has drastically changed. Honestly, for a service that should be so quick, I think they got busy and totally forgot about me. If you're going here, make sure to set clear expectations about the timing and also be prepared that the prices are a bit higher than other shops.

As I had an excellent experience in the past at San Antonio location I gave this one a shot. Service was quick and communication was over text, hassle free. After the service was completed, I noticed that all the codes were not reset so my tire pressure was not showing up. I was busy having a baby so definitely not on the priority list of things to handle. I took my car today to get the inspection done. Bad experience from the get go. The lady at the reception was straight out rude. When I mentioned about the tire pressure not showing up on the dash, she said I should press buttons to navigate to that display. She made it sound like I am too stupid to not even know that. And then the guy pitches in and said let s look at it together and then disappeared. After the inspection, while checking out, she said they don t have equipment to put the sensor in and that they are not tire shop. I reiterated that PSI was showing up before servicing and they might have missed resetting the codes. She slowly gave me the same response as if I don t understand English and told me to take it to the tire shop. I understand they are not equipped to handle tire issues but making it sound like I am stupid to not know how to push buttons was disrespectful. I didn t appreciate her attitude, the way I was spoken to and how the issue was neglected. Still 3 stars cause they do good service, decent price, quick turn around.

Great service! CB fixed my discharging battery problem plus 2 long-standing issues. My trunk lid motor works as does the digital speedometer. They haven t worked for 5 years. I had given up and didn t ask them to fix either. All for the price of the diagnostic fee plus tax. CB will be my car repair place from now on. The vehicle is a 2010 Town car with 249,000 mi. Thankyou.

We visited this place for loose splash shield, they gave the price estimate right away on the call, which was very reasonable. People are great, friendly, and it has a good lounge area. Service was pretty quick compared to other places in the area. Overall great place, kind people and amazing service! :)

I had my vehicle serviced and the engine filter changed. I also needed my vehicle inspected. They were very friendly and printed out recommended services. The waiting room was very clean and comfortable. I was offered something to drink while I waited. The services were very reasonable and I will definitely use them for my other services. I was extremely satisfied with my experience.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection

My last time ever taking my vehicle to be serviced at Christian Brothers Automative!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE EXPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A YOUNGER SIGNIFICANT OTHER!! Worst experience ever!! I can't express how extremely disatisfied I am with the lack of professionalism, knowledge and poor communication skills. I called in advance to schedule an appointment for my 2008 Cadillac DTS due to the sudden malfunctioning of my cooling system. With warmer temperatures heading our way soon I wanted to make sure my 2nd vehichle would be ready for our triple digit temperatures. Unfortunately, my work schedule is very demanding therefore not permitting me to deliver the vehichle myself so I had my fiance drop it off to be diagnosed. Upon his arrival he did the necessary paperwork work with the young lady at the counter, asked if they accepted the endurance insurance and stated "yes" After about a week we get a phone from our service adviser Jeremy Shriver with a diagnostic report stating that both compressor and condenser would need to be replaced. In addition, he stated some preventive maintenence was necessary to prevent the vehicle from returning to the shop for additional repairs. Jeremy suggested that replacing some valves, flushing the system & a recharge of system as preventive maintenence would really help since the new system had just been installed. I was quoted $531.16 which ilwas the portion i would be responsible for the extras and the other work would cost $2,518.66 which was going to be covered by my endurance insurance. I agreed to the extras since it seemed to be the most reasonable decision since the car was already in the shop. Once the car was ready things went south and the lack of communication evolved. When car was ready my fiance went to pick up the vehichle paid $631.16 and an itemized invoice was provided to him. Keep in mind the car , invoice and insurance are all under my name Noone else's. After revising the incorrect quote I called Christian brothers and the gentleman that answered stated he would look into it and return my call .....two days later I call back and asked if the discrepancy had been discovered and would I be receiving a credit back to my charge card and was told NO because the $100 was for shipping and handling for the extra parts ordered I was never at any given point disclosed that I would be responsible for shipping and handling it was never stated on my quote either so I explainedto the original tech that I felt I should be reimbursed for something I did not approve. He stated over the phone that my son approved the charges and I stated I don't have a son he said the man who dropped the car off approved it. My fiance is 20 years younger than I but, never the less that is very insulting and Noone should assume titles but rather address individuals by their names. He got argumentive with me and passed me to Jeremy and I explained how I had been insulted and misinformed by the deceptive quote and lack of communication referencing the shipping cost. Jeremy stated that he would not tolerate my tone and I stated that I was not yelling, but Merely using a more authoritic tone. He also stated that he was authorized by my son ...my response was WOW!! twice in one phone call I was assumed to be my fiances mother. Humiliated, embarrassed and insulted I proceeded to explain to him that he was unprofessional by him assuming my relationship status. He did not apologize and I stated I would leave a horrible google review for other to read my experience. Before terminating my called I explained to him that the $100 was not the big issue but rather it was the principle of the matter. If I approved $531 I expect to pay $531. I will make sure to share my experience with all my colleagues in the Real Estate Industry! Nowhere on my printed receipt is it quoted shipping and handing!! Signed Disappointed & disgusted.P.S.As a small business owner myself I always address individual by name not an assumed title/ label.

Brought in our 2016 Toyota Avalon due to a suspected blown fuse for the AC/Heater blower from incorrectly attaching jumper cables to a bad battery.I had personally replaced the blown ECU fuse from the same incident and thought I could replace the AC/Heater blower fuse as well. It proved too much for my skill level, requiring disassembly of the engine compartment fuse box to access the stated fuse. When I called Christian Brothers and explained to Evelyn (the receptionist) what my issue was she stated that I would need to bring the car in to have it inspected. I declined the diagnostic step for $175 charge thinking that replacing the blown fuse would resolve the issue. We were told that the $60 fuse would need to be ordered from the dealer and would arrive on Monday. So we paid for the fuse to be ordered. On Monday we returned with the car to have the new fuse installed. Apparently, the new fuse blew during the installation and we were informed that we would need to pay for another new fuse or pay the $175 for the diagnostics.I have two issues with the way this was handled. First, I accept the fact that we requested to forego the initial diagnostics to save some money, feeling confident that the new fuse would resolve the issue. However, we were never instructed or warned that if the fuse blew or did not resolve the issue that Christian Brothers would not take any responsibility. As far as we know, the fuse could have blown due to mechanic error. The point is, a service shop knows the risks involved in these scenarios and should make it very clear to the customer what the expectations will be if the worst case scenario happens.I elected to have them diagnose the system and they determined that the blower motor has a short which is why the new fuse blew and needs to be replaced. So my total bill would be around $900.The second issue is the cost of the stated fuse. I called the local Toyota dealer and discovered that the fuse could be purchased out the door for around $25. When I asked Bradley at Christian Brothers why they charged me $60 he simply stated "that's their cost for that part".I elected to cut my losses, paid the bill for $333 and drove away.I truly feel that this shop did not go above and beyond (which should be every service shop's goal to it's customers) to resolve our automotive issue. Further more, their actions were deceptive and unfair.Regrettably,James Mimms

Very kind and helpful crew! They were honest with what was recommended for my vehicle. They offered a shuttle service while my car was being worked on and they also have a very comfortable waiting room with leather furniture and hot coffee!

I have used this company for many years and did not know they had changed owners recently . The brothers no longer own it.In the past my bill was $200 for oil change and inspection . They were very good and honest.I d was charged over $600 this time and I caught them in several lies about why .When I took it on the same day to the Mercedes shop they noticed dents on the passenger side where this company had dented it during the oil change. I went straight to Mercedes shop from their shop. When I took it back the manager kept telling me the owner would call . After weeks of calling he said the owner refused to see me and it was not their fault even though I have a video from the Mercedes dealership showing the dents. I left Christian brothers after the oil change . I am reporting them to my insurance . They have my number and have made no attempt to correct this problem. You will notice their last five reviews are terrible. That is because they are under new ownership.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I always take both my trucks for service. Great staff and service. I use to give them 5 star ratings, but lately they haven't been the best . I was very disappointed to see that someone was trying to get a repeat customer the dishonest way. After I had my window repaired. I noticed when I got home someone had loosened my oil plug. It leaked oil from there and my oil filter as well. They were both loosened, I don't know why since I went for a window repair. Unfortunately I will not be going back there anymore. If I have to watch my back in not getting scammed I would rather go somewhere else. That is very shady business. The bad part was I had been going there for years and loved their service. Maybe the technicians changed , I don't know. All I know is I am not going back there againServices: Auto A/C recharge, Auto A/C replacement, Auto battery maintenance

Lack of consistency in the quality of service at Christian brothers. Brought my vehicle in for the annual inspection as I did last year.. but they failed it saying the windows aren t the right tint same car no change on our part from last year. Recommend you look elsewhere for car inspections and repairs.

They are a blessing, they were very respectful and very nice. The atmosphere was so welcoming and pleasant. They went above and beyond to help me and show everyone that came in that they cared with compassion. I cannot express the how humble they are and to be able to speak out loud about JESUS and to praise Him with other workers there is such a blessing! I highly recommend them!! Thank you all so much!!!

I took my car here to do a complicated steering/suspension repair that took them 2-3 weeks to complete. I got my car back with a MISSING CATALYTIC CONVERTER that had been stolen while the vehicle was in their care, not to mention a fresh big scratch. Christian Bros did nothing to make it right, and didn t even assist with security camera footage. This place is CRIMINAL.DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR.

We use Christian brothers regularly at home and love them, so when our car broke down on vacation, of course we chose them. What a mistake. Almost no communication - we felt like we constantly had to call them to find out what was going on, even when we asked them to call us. The kicker was as we were getting ready to leave vacation, we called to see if the car was ready (because of course they hadn t called us) and the customer service rep said yes, it s ready. Hubby says, great, so it ll be fine to drive back to Houston? And she says oh, I didn t say that! I m not saying they should have been able to fix the issue I m just saying they should ve told us the full story on what they were able to do.Service: Transmission

Very nice and friendly people. I always take advantage of the coupon offers they have. They take the time to explain if there's other issues that need attention. I've never had issues after they've serviced my car. They take walk-ins but it's better if you schedule an appointment.

I absolutely would never go here again. I purchased a lifetime wheel alignment. Drive my car for about 2 years and then got new tires. Went in for an alignment they said we don't do that anymore and acted like they were doing me a favor for doing a SECOND alignment. The agreed upon deal was a LIFETIME for this amount of money. If you send someone in their that doesn't know any better they will be upselling them like crazy. While waiting both times I swear it was like every single vehicle needed 700 dollars in repair. They wanted to change my fuel tank because they said it was leaking well it was just corrosionX i sprayed on some rust. They told me to come look and i said does that smell like gas to you they were like O your right. I didn't find anything about their service christian. If you go there or a family member gets bent over just saying I told you so. Be Warned.Service: Wheel alignment

I am happy with the work done on my Jeep. There was some damage done to the Jeep during service. My windshield got cracked. When I asked about it I was basically brushed off. For that reason I'm giving 2 star.

I went to Christian Brothers to get my car safety inspected. The wait was about 45 minutes which wasn't too bad. The waiting room had comfortable couches and water and coffee were available. There was also a bathroom. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly. I will be returning next year for my safety inspection.

I have a non-luxury gas car and the brakes make noise when pressed. So I took the car to CBA for repairing. The price quote I got is about $3,570 to replace four rotors and brake pads, but the price I googled is typically between $200-$800 to have a complete brake repair that includes pads, rotors, and calipers. In addition, the quote to replace the battery is about $598. I bought and replaced multiple car batteries before by myself and know that the battery itself should cost less than $200. I asked the CBA customer service to explain why the price is so high, the customer service was rude and impatience and won't explain: this is our price, take it or not?I immediately declined the sky-high price quote on the phone and went to CBA to pick up my car. Luckily I met another CBA guy and complained to him the price and terrible customer service. He was nice and polite, he listened and gave me another price quote of about $1,000 to replace both front and rear rotors and brake pads, and the price quote for replacing the battery is about $180 (part) and $60 (labor). He also cannot explain why there are such big differences between the two price quotes. Finally I only let CBA to fix the brake problems. That being said, I won't recommend CBA to anyone if you don't want to be ripped off.Service: Auto brake repair

I had a terrible experience here. We brought our car in TWICE because they did not correctly fix the issue the first time. And after a couple months after bringing the car in the second time, the issue still persists. I just wish they fixed it right the first time. I don t have time to keep bringing in my car. Now I have to look into other auto repair shops. Wasted my time and $$$. Will NOT be returning.1/19/23 update: Let me clear up the confusion. CB is saying they don t have my information in their system which is partially true. The car is under my friend s name. There were times I had to bring in the car on her behalf because she had work. I provided my information to them and received updates from them via text messages.

Took my car for fluid changes and unbeknownst to me, friction modifier was not added to the differential. At least according to the repair invoice. 2000miles later, the limited slip differential started chattering and grinding. I can t prove that this is what damaged it, but I m sure this oversight played a factor. Took it back and was charged for diagnostic and told that my diff mount bushing were bad. I was certain this wasn t my problem since noise only occurs around turns but the service advisor assured me that the excess movement was causing my issues. I unfortunately chose to trust the professionals against my better judgement. I should have gotten a second opinion but they had already had my car for a few days at that point. I had to wait about a week to get it back only to discover that my issue still remained. When I tried to use the Nice guarantee warranty, I discovered I would have to pay ANOTHER diagnostic fee even though the original diagnosis was incorrect. From what I gathered from the gentleman at the counter, they only cover the parts and work that they installed. This is not the same thing as guaranteeing your original concern is fixed I suppose. Rather than trusting them with my vehicle again I chose to take my business elsewhere. This company will even charge you for brake cleaner to degrease parts. I consider this to be a cost that shouldn t be passed on to the customer but that s just my opinion. I caution everyone not to take your vehicle here for anything other than an oil change, however after reading other reviews, even that can be messed up.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I usually trust most people and businesses until they give me a not to... and Christian Brothers has given me MULTIPLE reasons not to trust them. From "misdiagnosis" of a problem resulting in an $1100 repair that I really didn't need, to my vehicle not being ready when promised... twice!... to a terrible lack of communication, my first experience was anything but pleasant. But I decided to give them a second chance based on the service manager's and general manager's assurance that what happened to me was "not the way they do business." However, not only was the next repair not completed during the time promised, I noticed a problem related to that repair the next day. I called the service manager asking for my car to be picked up (which they say they do), he said he didn't have anyone available but that he would get back to me later that day to make arrangements... that was over two weeks ago and I'm still waiting. In addition, their "inspection" recommended I replace my battery, which is less than a year old and hadn't given me any indication that it was failing, which tells me that, in my case at least, their goal wasn't to serve the customer but to separate me from even more of my money which, in the end, totaled around $5000!According to the service manager, the 2nd repair would be under warranty but I'm to the point where my lack of trust is so great that I would rather pay to have someone else repair the issue than return to Christian Brothers. If you decide to give them a try, hopefully your experience will be betterServices: Transmission, Engine repair, Brakes
