I wish I could give more than five stars to this establishment. San, the owner, took excellent care of me! As the owner of a high mileage vehicle with zero car knowledge, it's easy for repair shops to take advantage and utilize scare tactics to pressure me into purchasing unnecessary repairs. San was honest about my immediate needs and gave me a list of what would eventually need to be done. He did more work and charged a lot less than numerous shops in the area quoted me. On top of that, he had my vehicle in and out on the same day and stayed past closing to ensure it was done.If you're reading this and debating where to take your vehicle, stop debating and take your car to Lake Conroe Automotive Repair. You will get an honest assessment and repairs that you can trust, all at an extremely fair price and veteran-friendly.Thank you for taking care of me, San. I greatly appreciate your honesty, integrity, and heart for veterans. Me and my family now have a trustworthy repair shop to take our vehicles and you can't put a price on piece of mind.

Very good experience, I definitely recommend calling before showing up bc he may not have the parts. But despite showing up unannounced, he was still kind and helped me out. But I was there for only a moment and was gone quickly.

Came here the other day because my car was acting up. San was quick to diagnose the problem and fix it at a fair price. It's hard to find trustworthy mechanics nowadays and since meeting San I will not take my car anywhere else. Excellent customer service and he explained everything in a way I could understand. There's even food trucks here and they taste great! Also if that somehow wasn't enough, he even has a PS4 and Super Nintendo inside to kill time while you wait.Don't even bother going to another auto shop, this is the best one around!

I felt that San was very trustworthy due to his involvement in community pages and his support of other local businesses. I reached out to him on a Saturday and he tried to troubleshoot the issue with my truck over messenger, but I ended up having it towed to the shop. He had the issue diagnosed in 1 day and fixed the next. He didn t try to upsell anything and focused on the specific issue. I also had him take a look at the AC while the truck was down there. She s 20 years old, fires up strong and blows cold air again. I recommend 100%. Great, honest work. I came from FL to TX to trade in my car for a "Great Deal", after purchasing the vehicle, I thought it would be best to get it checked out before my long trip home and I was recommended to come to this place. San was my contact and he was a very polite individual. He inspected the car from head to toe and found a few MAJOR problems that needed fixed. He was kind enough to take care of the matter at the point in time since he was free at the moment. I would like to seriously thank him and his staff for being able to fix the issues found on the car for me before I ended up dealing with it on the ride home. I definitely recommend this shop because of their great communication and their price still made this used car a great buy! If anyone ever buys a used car, make sure to bring it to these guys, they will definitely make sure there are NO HIDDEN problems for you!

Was recommended by a friend to take car there my mother needed work done. Very short with us on arrival and had to go. Left car there and waited for call. Never called. Had to call the next day and he couldnt even work on it. Went to pick it up and a woman had to lower the rack and bring car out. Guy acted like he wanted nothing to do with us. Very rude, i do not recommend.

I take every single one of my cars to this shop, been going here for over 4 years now for service and have never been disappointed with the results. They take care of your vehicle as if it were there own. Always going above and beyond to make sure everything is done correctly with low wait times. Recent hose, flush, and radiator overhaul done on my FZJ80 Land Cruiser, most shops won t even quote me. It was no big deal for this shop.

Professional, timely, and trustworthy mechanic, San does EXCELLENT work. Had him do work on an Acura MDX and could not be more pleased. Pricing was competitive and he was able to have car turned around the same day. It's not easy finding an honest mechanic and I am very pleased to have found San. Amazing business all together. Helpful and informative in every way possible when it comes to vehicles. Great prices for quality work. He also has a food truck on property that's family owned and operated definitely must eat there. I highly recommend San's businesses.

Very friendly and straight forward. Won't give you a run around. Their prices are very competitive too. We have used them multiple times and they are always fast and the work is always top notch. We will definitely continue our car care with them.

Great service! I went to San for brakes, he noticed it was time for new tires and took them to get replaced while the brakes were being replaced! One stop shop!! Saved me a separate trip and appointment! Oh, and I had lunch at Taste the Asian before I left!Service: BrakesService: Brakes

These guys were so helpful. It was a "Godsend"! They were recommended by an auto parts in Conroe, as an "oh by the way"--they did a "Blue Devil" service that helped seal my head gasket. I was really in a jam. They seemed very honest and knowledgeable and didn't make me feel ignorant about cars, being a female. The car was done in the amount of time that was spoken, and the charge was the amount agreed on over the phone. When I picked up my car there was a surprise!! One week prior someone had dented the wheel well panel as a 'hit and run' in a parking lot. When I pick my car up they had "popped" out the dent for me! San has continued to be honest and willing to help in whatever way he can. No games just straight up! This shop has been a blessing to me:))

San is a great business man and great mechanic. He installed my new H&R sway bars for a low labor cost on my BMW 335i and kept me up to date on the entire process. Since the rear sway bar requires dropping the subframe, San let me know it would need an alignment and referred me to a certified mechanic for the job. My car feels great now, looking forward to working with San again for sure!

We are new to the area and recently took our vehicle here to have it repaired. We could not be more happy. The service was friendly and the repairs done were excellent. They even fixed our back light for no extra charge and gave us a good price for what they did repair.. I highly recommend them. We plan on making this shop our place to go for auto repairs. Bottomline: fast, friendly, honest and does a great job at a very reasonable price.

The price for labor was very reasonable when considering how knowledgeable the Mechanics at Lake Conroe Automotive Repair really are. The experience was definitely pleasant. The Mechanics obviously enjoy what they do for a living, and what that means to me; quality work and honest work. I genuinely felt that those men have a passion for what they do, and have pride for a job well done. I wouldn't consider taking my car some where else after going here I really trust their work.P.S. Anything BMW related San is the man to go to. I have yet to meet some one who knows as much about those cars as he does.

Real good work here. Had a tough job to do with a steering box and suspension replacement that I expected to take a while, but it was done much faster that I expected for a good deal. I'm pretty picky with the work, so I even inspected it myself while it was still in the air and found everything to my satisfaction. Well worth the drive from downtown houston, definitely recommend for even the most complicated jobs.

I took my 1987 Supra Turbo to them to replace the head gasket and have the head rebuilt while it was off, they suggested that I also replace the timing belt and tensioner at the same time because they had to remove the belt in order to take the head off anyway. They are very at what they do and are sure to double check their work. I know this because in the process of double checking that the new head gasket was sealing properly, they discovered that the internal seals of the turbo were blown and that the water and oil were mixing inside of it. They were able to find a replacement turbo for very cheap and gave me the old turbo. The service manager, San, was very friendly, professional, helpful, and accommodating! They charged me a better than fair price and were able to work with me on payments! Lake Conroe Automotive is now my preferred repair shop, thanks again you guys!

I've taken several of my vehicles to Lake Conroe Automotive over the last few years. San is always friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and fairly priced. He and Pedro know their stuff. Highly recommended!

Went in a few weeks ago on a thursday. After I checked my oil I was bone dry! Had never seen the place but stopped in after work. I dealt with San, the manager. He was courteous, and honest. Went above and beyond. Quality work, very decent priced, friendly and fast! Recommending this place to Everyone! Even has an on-site body work shop!! Great people, great place!!

Fair labor prices and trustworthy service. The owner/manager/service technician (his name is San) exceeded my expectations and even stayed after hours to ensure I was completely satisfied. I highly recommend San to anyone needing auto service - you won't be disappointed.

I went back to this place recently because they had done a minor repair for me over the summer and were reasonably priced then. However, I will NEVER be back again. First, it was expected that I would just leave my vehicle there for repair with no discussion about the cost. I don't know who blindly has work done but I've never had to ask for a quote before. When a quote was given it was pretty high, supposedly because "the part is very expensive." $600 to be exact. I looked the part up on Autozone and found it could be purchased for about $220, pretty big difference from $600. After being questioned about the justification behind charging $600 for a $200 part the story changed to how I could just get the part myself and they'd install it. Clearly this is the route I opted for and the ONLY reason I had the work done here after catching them in such a blatant scam is because I had to have my vehicle towed there and didn't want to spend the money towing it elsewhere. The best has yet to come though. After telling them I'd get it myself the man I'd been dealing with says he'll text me what to get so I don't order the wrong part... he sends me a picture of his purchasing screen with the part info AND price of $138!!!!! Not only did they try to bend me over backwards and charge me 4x more than it actually was, I was just sent a picture proving how badly they tried to over charge! There wasn't an inkling of guilt or wrong doing, just conducting busines as if they didn't lie to my face an hour ago. If my vehicale was running at all, it would have been outta there. During the course of the repair another part, supposedly, was needed which they just took upon themselves to order and charge me for without so much as a phone call much less my approval. Also something I've never had happen anywhere else. Then just to add insult to injury when all was said and done and I picked my vehicle up I was handed a line about how the work was only guaranteed for so many days because I didn't buy the $600 part from them and the difference in costs was the warranty. I don't know what kind of warranty runs around $400 (you know, almost 3x the cost of the actual part) but at this point I was utterly done with the entire situation, said that's fine and left. If I didn't have family that was involved in mechanics for many many years they would have gotten away with taking complete advantage of someone they assumed didn't know any better. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome work! My a/c went out and he had it fixed in less than two hours. He was honest and up front with everything. He was fairly priced and very professional. I will be going back to him from now on, and recommend him to anyone who wants friendly and professional work done in a timely manner.

Needed a bearing replaced on my dodge truck. Found the people friendly and quick. They did the work for 1/2 of what ALL THE COMPETITION CHARGED. Could not believe it!! Quality work, Inexpensive, Friendly... I will bring all my trucks there. Company and Personal. At these prices you would be a couple cards short of a full deck to not go back!!!!!

Horrible place to go. Shotty work and lacking work ethics. I took my 96 Ford Ranger pick up truck in for transmission problem's and they tried to over charge me on parts. Then when I called them on there scam they tried to explain it away as a miss communication. Well I tired to give them the benefit of the doubt and let them proceed with working on my truck.. well they kept trying to add more part's that weren't really necessary. They didn't fix two thirds of the things I asked them to such as a power steering leak I needed fix badly and a bad alignment problem. I ended up fixing these with a friend. All the power steering needed was some Teflon tape on a fitting. The alignment issue was just a 10 dollar bushing that needed to be replaced..It's a good thing I fixed these things because if I hadn't I would have lost a transmission bolt they didn't tighten. But worst of all my truck ran horrible after I got it back idles rough and stalls out sometimes. It didn't do that before going into the shop. The had to replace my transmission with a used one which was fine but they didn't bother to adjust the clutch pedal and that is just shotty work. I think they just wanted my truck out of there shop because I called them on there attempt to over charge me on parts. All in all I payed 1350.00 for them to do a third of what I asked them to do. The things they didn't do I had to do myself plus fix there mistake...they were easy fixes overall but the point is I payed them to fix them because I live in an apartment complex and couldn't do it there. I ended up going to my friends house where we could work on it. I'm disappointed that they weren't competent enough to do the work I asked them to do. Then left my truck running horrible. So if you are looking for an honest mechanic that knows what there doing and will fix what you ask don't go to this shop.You do negative work you get a negative review. If you had done a good job I would have given you a good review. I checked your review's before I settled on your shop. By all means post the work order. It won't change the fact that I asked for the power steering leak to be fixed numerous times and you assured me it be would. It was a major concern for me because my truck was leaking a gallon a week. Yes a friend of mine did a bad job replacing the lines. My son in law referred me to you that's the reason I let you work on my truck after your tech told me my "clutch" was going to cost 300.00 dollars when I knew the clutch "kit" was 170 plus tax. I checked AutoZone before I went to you. When I confronted your tech he called AutoZone. They gave him same quote so he then asked for a slave cylinder a flywheel and a throw out bearing. The price for all these parts was roughly 250 plus tax. So he told me that's what he meant when he said "clutch". I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Yes you guys replaced my transmission because I had a transmission problem NOT a clutch problem as originally thought. Yes the bad transmission damaged my clutch and it had to be replace. That was fine. I NEVER asked for any FREE work. But you didn't adjust the clutch pedal. Your tech even told me the clutch was off but by this point I just wanted to get my truck back. I had to re-tighten a transmission bolt I almost lost because your shop didn't tighten the bolts down good. I only found this problem because I took my truck to my friends shop out in Onalaska and put it up on his lift to fix the power steering leak and the front end problem. Yes I asked for an alignment and you pointed out a bad bushing and my tires. However that bushing was a 10.00 part that I purchased from Advanced Auto part's. And took all of 10 minutes to replace while on a lift. Yes I didn't even know about the bushing until you showed it to me. The bushing was eaten away because of the excessive power steering leak. I went to you because I live in Conroe in an apartment complex an not able to do the work myself and it wasn't practical to tow it to Onalaska. Don't promise to fix something and then don't. Especially something so easily fixed.

My A/C stopped working on my way to Conroe this morning and I was with my 5 month old grandson. Since it was 100 degrees outside we were in a bind. The kind folks at Lake Conroe Auto Repair were extremely helpful and got me back on the road with a cool car before noon. They were very professional and went out of their way to get my vehicle fixed quickly and for a reasonable price. Thanks, Lake Conroe Automotive for making my day turn out right.L. Vannoy
