Let me start off by saying I really don't like leaving reviews because I recognize they are one sided and to many people don't get the chance to defend themselves.That being said I need to share my experience and plan to do so as respectfully as possible.I can not and will not recommend Danny's automotive to anyone. My wife and I took our vehicle here of the recommendation of a family member because we had a spun rod bearing and I believe bad timing chains... Long story short we needed a new engine. We dished out close to $8,000 and had the car out of commission for a few months which is understandable. All good at this point.We had the car back for a couple months didn't really drive it much because the tags were out and we needed tires. June we get it back street legal and take a trip to Galveston in July. The car overheats on the way back.We take it back to Danny to find out they put the wrong radiator in because they damaged the old one which is an honest mistake because there were multiple ones for my vehicle. Also the cats are bad fans aren't turning on ect... No problems other than the spun rod bearing until we had the engine replaced.6-8 months later can't remember we get the car back after a bunch of back and forth between me and Danny about lack of communication because the whole time the only time I would get an update is when I spoke directly to him. If I left a message I never got a call back. We had a little bit of a heated exchange mostly on my part and I am sure I came across as an A hole and I own the fact that I could've handled my words better but once you reach a point of frustration that high most anyone would lose composure Anyway he ate the cost of new cats radiator and ECU. At this point I'm ok with it. January drive through June starts running hot again so I drop it back off. I forgot what the last thing it was but not that important.Here we are getting into the warm months again and sitting at a red light my temp gauge is creeping up well over 210.... Not at all happy with the service even though he has attempted to make it right because of the fact I have to keep going back. I guess I will cut my losses here and sell the car to a mechanic that has time to work on it.

I sent my car here because of glowing reviews and the recommendation of the tow truck operator.Battery wasn't holding charge and alternator wasn't charging. As of now, a few hundred dollars later, the battery still doesn't hold charge, and it still isn't charging correctly.A second visit due to rough idle and bogging down when hitting the gas resulted in $1700 in new catalytic converters, and an invoice for them changing all of the spark plugs (this is key to my review.) The car still idled rough, and now had a code for an O2 sensor. I was told by Danny which sensor it was, so I changed it myself, code did not go away, car still rough idles, and now has entered limp mode.I took it to a shop just up the street from me, where he promptly found 2 glaring problems and a suggestion for a legitimate fix.#1 the spark plugs in the back had never been changed (but i have an invoice from Danny's saying they were.) AWD vehicle, so the back 3 are hard to get to. The dust on the ignition coils didn't even look disturbed.#2 An O2 sensor down near the catalytic converters had never been plugged back it. The connector was laying on the exhaust and completely melted, hence the O2 sensor code that showed up only after they worked on it.Suggested fix for the idle and bogging down: the throttle position sensor is failing, it never needed new catalytics, it needed a new throttle assembly (apparently a notorious problem for this year/make/model, but untested in this instance.) This is a $200 fix for a shop, Compared to the 1700 that I was charged for a fix that didn't fix.I have the dated invoices from both shops showing one claiming all had been changed, and the next showing they were old and in need of changing (dated only 1 month after the first invoice.) I have a picture of the extremely dusty rear coils, and I have the melted O2 sensor.Multiple attempts to reach out via email have gone unanswered, attempts to call have gone unanswered, or to voice-mail that was never responded to. I have not visited in person yet as they are a bit out of my way.As it stands, the spark plug invoices are evidence of fraud in my mind, the melted O2 sensor is evidence of basic neglect, and I have little confidence that they actually performed the repairs they claimed, but I am still out nearly 3,000 in supposed repairs.Included picture is the rear ignition coils after Danny's supposedly changed the plugs. I don't see how those coils were pulled or wires unplugged without disturbing the dust, and definitely don't know of a professional who would have reinstalled without a basic wipe-down

Good honest, family people. I had a total engine rebuild going on and my other truck got stolen. Danny and crew worked hard to get the truck going again so I had something to drive! Good work. Good people!

I recently visited this auto shop based on a recommendation from another shop that was unable to provide the service I needed. I must say, it was the best service experience I've ever had at an auto shop! The entire team, including Danny, Brittany, and Candice, were absolutely amazing. They not only quoted me a fair price but also kept me updated with timely communication. Surprisingly, the final price ended up being even lower than the initial quote, and the service was incredibly fast. The team here is exceptional, and they did a fantastic job. really glad I decided to go here when my car broke down. I felt they were very honest and fair with the cost when it came to getting rear brakes/rotors replaced, as well as ignition coils & spark plugs. I don t know much about cars but I got advice from multiple people and a second opinion, I knew I made the right choice coming here. I also thought it was cool to see so many old school cars in their garage being worked on, that just made me think if they work on old old cars, they definitely know what they re doing. awesome shop & awesome staff! After being quoted elsewhere, I decided to look around and get prices for my repairs. The prices at Danny's are very reasonable. They were also kind and friendly. Danny even called me to go over everything himself. So far my repairs seem to be done well. No issues have popped up since. I felt like they respected my vehicle despite it being old. I had a really good experience here. I recommend them. Be aware, it is not big and fancy. This is a local, mom and pop type business. I appreciate that about them.

The staff is awesome. Danny's prices are good. I had 29 codes that came up when he put my car on the machine because my check engine light wouldn't go off. He spent all day going through every code and found out it was my catalac converter and that part cost over 300 dollars and he checks your car over good. He found out I had another part that went to my steering(racket pinyon steering). He charged my with both parts with life time warranty and labor under a #1,000. He's great. Danny's automotive is the only place I will call when I need something done to my car.

I found out about this place from God's Garage. I took my Rogue and explained what it was doing . Got a fabulous diagnosis . They fixed my car and she is doing perfect ! I am so very pleased with the service and my cost was right on too. I WILL ONLY TAKE MY VEHICLE HERE FROM NOW ON. THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME IN MY MOMENT OF NEED .

Danny works on all of our vehicles. He does a good job at an affordable price. Danny has even called after repairs just to make sure everything is as it should be.
