JASON (Tire / Auto Dept. Manager) IS AN ANGEL!!! I was driving into to Houston to go to my 30 year High School Reunion from Dallas Friday 07.28.23 when I hear some grinding/scraping sound when I pulled into a gas station about 5 miles earlier! Turns out, when I had my oil changed on Wednesday evening at a Take 5 Oil & Lube , they didn t reattach my under carriage correctly and it was dragging (attached pics). It s 5:55 P.M. and Costco Auto is about to close and Jason said he d get under my car and cut the dragging pieces off (Mind you, it s Friday at 6:00 P.M. and it s 100 degrees out !) I offered him a bottled water (I had a cooler filled in my car for the hotel) and $60 cash! He absolutely refused the cash but said he d take the water and said, just come buy tires from me. Oh wait, you live in Dallas, just right a review. Anyone in the Conroe or Woodlands area, go see Jason (don t know his last name), the Manager of The Auto/Tire Dept. if you need tires ! And Costco corporation and / or Jason s supervisor, Jason deserves a raise!!! Thank YOU again Jason!!!

I got tires put on last week. One of them has a slow leak already. I asked if I could make an appointment, they said no. Just bring it in. But because I do not have an appointment, they cannot tell me how long it will be until they see my car, or how long it'll take review it. Not impressed with this Costco so far

Ordered tires and had them shipped to this warehouse for installation. I made an appointment for a Monday but needed to change it, so I called them. The appointment change didn't happen, so I had to renegotiate a new appointment. That was the only irritating portion of the installation. They put the tires on, told me what they found, and put a sticker in the window to remind me about the next (free) rotation. No sales pitch for additional services(brake job, tpms sensors, valve stems, lug nuts, balancing, alignment, and so on.) Not my first tires at Costco - will be back.

Seriously, reconsidering membership. This tire center has to be the slowest in the entire state. Tried to drop off car 3 days ago to get flat fixed. Was told by Julio they were too busy. Was told by Julio to bring car back at opening on Thursday, December 28, 2023. Am here now. Been here since 10:00 am. It's now 1:45. Going on four hours and no sign they're making any effort to fit me in. Requested assistance from Assistant General Manager, Trevor and he told me that it'd be another 2 hours, else, I could bring back tomorrow at opening and they'd try to get me in. SIX HOURS to get tire warranty repair at Costco Tire Center. It's clear Costco Tire Center prioritizes new tire purchase installs over tire warranty repair. This clearly meant to discourage customers from bringing in vehicles for warranty tire repair and as a result a breach of warranty. Costco needs new management at this location in The Woodlands, Hwy. 242, Conroe, Tx.

Horrible customer service. Wish I could give negative stars!!! Stood in line more than 30 minutes each time, staff never in a hurry. They didn t have the tire I needed so ordered it. Was told same day or next day at the latest. Next day comes I call them and it s not there yet. Called again at the end of the day still not there. On the third day called and was told it could take up to a week and they didn t know why it s not there or how long it would take to get it, was told I could get a refund if I am not satisfied lol it finally arrived on the 4th day. Waited in line forever and was told that it s a walk in so will take 2 to 3 hours (to put on ONE tire) which was 4 days late.

These people don't want to work. We pull in before 8pm, keep in mind they are open until 830pm. We got a flat. They didn't want to get the tire done. The guy said they pack up at 8 so they can leave at 830 incredible! The manager didn't want to help. They literally talked for 20 min telling us no when it could have taken them 15 min to get it done. Definitely something wrong with management here if you can't get your team to work their entire shift. Find a new manager who is capable and find new employees who actually want to work.

Expect great service here.....I was greeted with professional expertise and a pleasant experience. I am always happy with the opportunity to deal with positive and strong customer service. The Tire shop crew went above and beyond to get me back on the road. That was awesome guys!!!

I have been a Costco Tire customer for many years. I have been to 3 different locations over time. They have great prices and great service.The best benefit is the follow-up care with making sure your tires and all associated are in good shape and well-cared for. It is worth it to make an appointment in advance and there may still be a wait but it is worth it to me. Thanks Costco Tire Center for making sure I am safe on the road!

I like that Costco s are across the country. I drive cross country and so it s good to know a tire center from where I purchased will be available.4 tires purchased with the discount comes out to be about the same price as national tire battery and or discount tires. There isn t really a huge difference.This location was super friendly and knowledgeable they were quick to get my vehicle in and out with an appointment and I was a little bit late.Only one thing was that I requested the best of my four tires be replaced with my spare tire. My vehicle is a 2005 four-wheel-drive with a full-size tire on the rim underneath.It has never been used and it s my understanding that old tires brought even if they look good can be bad and that is not typically observed visually.The tire guy insisted that the 2005 spare tire was good. Better than the tires that were removed, which I knew it would be better in tread depth, since it has never been used. It is the possible determination that can be evident only under conditions of use that is my concern. He is young. Probably was in diapers when my spare tire was manufactured. I m still a bit concerned that a tire from 2005 will be a good spare to get me out of a cross country and/or off-road situation. I am in my 50s and from when tires were known to look great but then fall into pieces under use. I understand tire quality is better today but is a tire that sat under a vehicle from 2004 to 2022 a good tire to trust? moreso than a new used tire that has at least 800-1000 miles still on its treads?I was always taught that you replace your spare tire with one of the newer used tires.Actually I think it would be kind of cool if people commented on this and I will post this in the forum to see if I get any bites on other peoples experience and perspective be nice to know the age of a poster since it is about product experience and the tire is a 2005.Keep in mind this is not a donut tire spare but a full rim and real tire for the vehicle.Thanks so much

The Costco Tires center at 8185 TX-242, Conroe, TX 77385 can get you in and out on a set of new tires at a reasonable price with great road Hazzard warranty. Costco makes easy to buy great times for almost any vehicle. They often run promotions on top brand tires.

Had an appointment for 5:30pm for a rotation and balance. Took almost 1hr 45 minutes to complete. Hopefully Costco will give this area some support. I recommend a dedicated employee(s) at the counter handling appointments, questions, phone calls, tire sales, and notifying customers when vehicle is ready. The techs should be able to complete a tire or tires (vehicle) without having to answer calls, handle customers in waiting area, bouncing between vehicles, going back and forth to the computer, selling tires, etc.. Start a vehicle, stay focused on said vehicle, and complete the vehicle.

Nitrogen for your tires! YES! I called 15 local tire shops and none of them knew where to refer me to top off my RV travel trailer nitrogen filled tires, so I am putting this in the reviews so it comes up in your Google search :-D Save you some time! NITROGEN #NITROGEN

Got a flat tire at 5:30 on 242 on a Wednesday. Drove to Costco and was told they may not get to us. Waited about an hour but they fixed it. In the time we waited, these guys were interrupted in the repair bay at least 6 times and they still had to tend to the desk area inside the store. Agree with another reviewer, they need a floater between the front desk and repair area.

The people here were super friendly and helpful. Came in on a sunday on my way back to Dallas and my tired blew amd was completely shredded. Even though we called and was told that they couldn't get us in until 4, they managed to get us in when we just walked in and ended up leaving right when our appointment was suppose to be. They were helpful, kind and was willing to rotate my tire while replacing the other tire. I agree that this place is under staff and doesn't draw as big of a crowd as the ones in Houston and other Dallas location but I enjoy this location the best because there is usually less of a wait time and they are faster than most of the other costco stores. And they were willing to honor my warranty and find me in the system.

Leonardo and Hector were very helpful. Costco discontinued my size tire. Leonardo gave me instructions on how to find the tire that fits my car. I appreciate great service. Thanks rich for the tire air caps

First - be aware that appointments are meaningless and you will wait. We called to check if they had our tires in stock, and were told over the phone that we could make an appointment on the phone or online. After doing a little research and choosing our tires, we tried calling back for over an hour, but the phone was never answered. To schedule an appointment online, you must order and pay for your tires first. Knowing that the store had 20 of our tires in stock, we ordered, but could not then make an appt any earlier than a week out. We called again, finally successfully, and made an appt for 5pm. When we arrived, we were told that the tires we ordered had not arrived (20 in stock...remember?!) That order had to be canceled, which was a lengthy, messy process, before they could resell us the same tires. After that process was completed, we were put in line behind everyone who had walked in without an appointment. They fill the bays on a first come, first serve basis, and your appointment means nothing. 2 hours after arrival, they finally began work on our car. We will stick to buying groceries at Costco and not put ourselves through this again... not when there is a Discount Tire down the street.

This tire center doesn't deserve any stars for their performance. Had to give at least 1 star to post. Got all 4 tires from costco. They started wearing out nearly bald abnormally quick within 30k miles and have pieces of rubber breaking off. Brought to this location to check and claim under warranty since tire comes with 70k miles warranty. Tire manager said it was normal for the rubber to break off and i had to show alignment done yearly to claim under warranty. This condition was not stated in their tire purchase agreement for warranty claims. It stated balancing had to be done. Went to the HW 249 location and they replaced all 4 under tire manufacturer warranty. Another time, had a bad puncture on one and closest tire shop was direct tires, took it there and they patched it with plug. It started leaking after couple of months. Made appointment and took to Costco in Conroe since i have costco's hazard protection. After 1 hour, they had not started on my car till i went to check. They then dismounted to check for leaks and confirmed it was. Technician asked where i got it repaired. Told him Discount Tire. He said Costco doesn't cover it if it's repaired by someone else. Again, they failed to read and understand their tire policy. It only states not covered if "Fix a flat" is used. A plug is not "Fix a flat". Took it to HW 249 location and they replaced it under hazard warranty. Those guys working at the conroe location are unqualified and ignorant. They don't understand their policies and are lazy. Not going there to get any tires or repairs. Save yourself the hassle.

This place is apparently under staffed. Was told my recent tire repair and rotation job would take about 2 hours but I waited 3 hours. Most staff are nice and helpful though.

Don t expect them to help with changing your battery. All we can do is give you the tools for you to change your own battery . Go to Sam s Club down the road-they ll help change the battery for you.. Sam s Club is amazing.

Customer service completely unlike the rest of costco. The people who work this section are rarely around, and completely unwilling to help. Worth it to go to a different costco if you have to have their support.

My appointment time was 10:30 but they re system at the kiosk had 10:00! Technical glitch but either way I was told it would be 2 hour wait. Why make an appointment?

I'm not sure the $125 savings was worth the 1 week wait and the 2 hour wait for installation. I will definitely reconsider this next time.
