Charlie does great work and goes above and beyond. He originally replaced my blown engine and along the way found and fixed some wiring issues in my headlights and tail lights. Very communicative and prices can t be beat. Definitely my go to now for anything automotive related.

I moved to The Woodlands 2 years ago and was praying I could find a good mechanic. My prayers were answered when I found Charlie! He's an honest, competent, and fair mechanic. He saved me a lot of money advising me on what fluid changes are neccessary to peform on schedule and which he can test for and only change when needed. The dealership would have made a lot of money on me without Charlie's guidance. I recently had a flat tire and he took me in same day with just a 30 minute wait to plug my tire. He has won all of my future business and I recommend him to all my family and friends. Thank you, Charlie!

Charlie is always helpful. I have been coming to his shop for over 10 years. He is honest and fair. Prices are very competitive. He is patient; always takes time to explain the issue and breaks down the cost for me. I highly recommend him to anyone that asks!! Give Charlie a call!!!

I've been going to Charlie's Automotive since 2011 for all of my work. Before that I was in a constant battle with mechanics who would conveniently find some other $700+ problem when I would take my car in for something completely unrelated. I was referred to Charlie through a friend.Since then, Charlie has become not only "MY" trusted mechanic, but also a good friend.No more dread when I pick up my car from the shop. BEWARE!Good person. BAD mechanic.Can only speak of my experience with Charlie and his services.brought car to charlie again after he did some work on my car last year, liked the guy and found him honest and likeable. Although he did not really fix my problem first time around I let it go since my registration wasn't up til 6 months from then, was tight on $ so i'd figure I'd bring it back when ready to do car inspection and registration.took it to charlie in may, diagnosed my CEL and quoted me for other repairs, although I found the quote high I agreed hoping he would fix it and my CEL would be no more. Got it back after a week, paid, felt good until driving my first 12 miles produced the same light I paid $ to fix came on and my car started smoking aka OVERHEATING, first time It ever did this by the way. Luckily, made it to destination safe. Overheated again later that day, called charlie and explained. He agreed to fix that issue. Had it towed back to him, he called me back like 48 hrs later, said it was ready and I had asked about the CEL as well and said he had cleared it and told me to drive it again to see what would happen and as I suspected, back to square 1. Light back on, overheating is fixed but light is still on. Called Charlie, told him I'd take it back. Got a code reading for EGR valve and he had replaced my EGR gasket on first attempt at fixing light, told him take his time because I paid a lot to fix this and needed to pass smog for registration. Almost two weeks later, calls me, tells me 2 codes came up, EGR code and some kinda gas leak code, said likely gas cap but gas cap is brand new, like 2 months new. Sent me his quote, decided I could not do it again and rather fix it myself since Charlie cost me lot of money and time as this is my only vehicle at the moment. Since getting it back , still have CEL and AC is blowing warmer air when before it had blown ice cold. BEWARE! DOES NOT GUARANTEE WORK OR SERVICE!

Charlie and his crew got my AC fixed up right when I was on a trip to Houston/Galveston from Louisiana. My AC was blowing hot air halfway through my trip. I called Charlie that evening and he told me to bring it on in first thing the next morning. I brought it on in and he had my AC blowing cold air within the hour and suggested what I need to replace on my truck when I get home to Louisiana. He and his crew are A+ auto technicians.

Finding this shop was a HUGE blessing.My 2015 kia had an electrical problem. Two other places either couldn't help or wanted a TON of money to start "Phase 1" of repair. Charlie's got my car running again for an affordable/excellent price and the service was also excellent. Thank you Charlie!!Service: Electrical

Charlie is the most honest mechanic I've ever seen. He won't make you fix things that don't need to be repaired and he won't charge you for things he doesn't fix. For years I've run into these problems with other shops. Now I drive 40 minutes to him just to know that it will be done right and I won't get ripped off. He always does quality work and I know if something wasn't done right he'd make it right with no qualms. Have taken two of my vehicles here. Charlie does top notch work and always discusses with you first what needs to be done and what your options are. Highly recommended if you're looking for an honest mechanic without all the BS some of the bigger places offer.

When I look for a mechanic, I look for three things: are they honest, reasonably priced and do they do a great job. After taking my vehicle to Charlie's Automotive I can honestly say that all three of those criteria were met. They did a great job on my car and went out of their way to work with me since I only have that one vehicle. The repairs were done on time and at a great price. I will definitely take my vehicle back to Charlie's Automotive for future repairs and I recommend anyone new to the area or anyone looking for a new, trustworthy mechanic bring their vehicle to Charlie's.

Charlie is a good guy. I've always had a great experience here and he has always given me a quote that is reasonable and no bs. He is also very good at what he does. If something needs to be fixed urgently he'll say so, but if it's something that can wait or doesn't really need to be fixed, he'll say that as well. I trust him, and I appreciate his candor. Highly recommend if you need a good mechanic in the area.

I've taken my vehicles to Charlie for almost four years now. He is honest, fair, and professional -- three characteristics that are hard to find in his line of work. Charlie has always taken great care of me, my family, and all the friends I've sent his way. I recommend him because I trust him. The work is done on time and at a fair price.He's not an up-sell-er and he's not condescending or dismissive. He takes care to help you understand what's wrong with your vehicle, what he's going to do to fix it, and what you can do to prevent future similar troubles. Always above and beyond.I'll continue to have Charlie service my vehicles and I'll continue sending friends and family his way. I wouldn't have anyone else work on my cars.

Charlie s automotive is a great place to bring your vehicle for repairs. We recently had a catalytic converter go and he had us back up and running faster than expected. He knows his industry and can repair any mechanical problem from bumper to bumper. He s a great guy.

Honest and hard working mechanic. They do just about everything at this little shop. It's hard to find good mechanics these days. I'm blessed to have found one and I'm going to tell others. Charlie, keep up the great work and stay true to who you are.I have been reminded recently of how fortunate our community is to have a decent and honest mechanic. I wish you much success.

Charlie was recommended by a neighbor of mine. I am so glad to have found a straightforward auto expert who takes a careful and minimalist approach to car repairs. I had repairs on our Hyundai Santa Fe that cost me less than $200 with Charlie vs. the dealership was quoting over $1000. I also like that Charlie has taken the time to explain his trouble shooting methods and repairs to both me and my wife.

Charlie is my go-to mechanic. Very knowledgeable, and not pushy. He tells it like it is and is trustworthy. I went to him with squeaky brakes and he explained I still have 25% life left and to come back in six months. You won't get that anywhere else!

Charlie's Automotive exceeds the bar in all three categories. Charles is a classic example of a true blue blooded American entrepreneual story. I have been going to Charlie for the better part of a year now and will continue to do so, so long as I have a vehicle to take to him. I am normally a DIY type of guy as I have never met a mechanic that I fully trust with my daily means of transportation. Finally, like something you only hear your dads and grand dads talk about. A mechanic that you can completely trust to get the job done right, and for a better than fair price! A mechanic who's name is on the building and is passionate about what he does. A small business owner who does whatever it takes to insure, we as customers, are safe and satisfied. I highly recommend Charlie's Automotive to any and all! His dog is pretty awesome too!!

My family has always taken our cars to Charlie. Fast and honest service. What makes Charlie stand out from the other mechanics is he will do his best to fix the parts that arent working. Most other places just replace them and trow the old part away. We never have to bring our cars back to him for the same problem either. When Charlie fixes it, its fixed for good.

I was referred to Charlie by several friends when I had to replace my cars engine. I couldn't have been more pleased. The whole experience was hassle free and I now take any car problems to his shop. His work is top notch, expedient, and best of all, honest, a very refreshing thing to find in this day and age of shady mechanics.

I was referred to this shop by a friend, and have no desire to go elsewhere after my first few visits. I came in with a new-to-me used vehicle that had a laundry-list of problems, wanting to get it as tip-top as I could. Where most mechanics would have had dollar signs in their eyes...here I got a relaxed, no-nonsense style; whatever needs done, it won't get sugar-coated OR played up for extra repairs. That's true professionalism, IMHO. His prices are more than fair, you can tell he shops around for his parts to get you the best deal possible. He's great about helping you prioritize fixes and stay on top of preventative maintenance, also- being totally honest about what can wait and what can't, and as an owner of older vehicles on a budget, that's a huge must-have for me.Charlie has a great business model going- treat people right, do the repairs right, and they come back... And start sending their friends and family. I'm really happy to finally have found a mechanic that is both knowledgeable and trustworthy, which is something I haven't been able to say in awhile. This is one of those shops that once you find, you feel like you've been let in on a well-kept secret...but one I don't mind sharing, because I wish everyone had a mechanic like this. The only con I have is as a one-man-shop, sometimes I can't get in to see him as fast as I'd like, but it's always worth the wait. True story, somebody needs to start cloning this guy.
