This week my wife and I were visiting her parents in Conroe. Her dad, 93 years old, bought a pickup from Buckalew. When I got there, he had a flat on his Silverado pickup. When I looked at it the tire was completely flat and badly damaged. I wanted to change the tire but there were wheel locks on the tire. My father-in-law had no idea where the key was. I couldn't drive it to the Dealership. I called and left a message at Buckalew and explained my problem. Soon after Denny Buckalew returned my call. He personally came to our house with one of his technicians and after a couple of hours they managed to remove the wheel lock. They even changed the tire for me. I wish I could rate them higher than 5 stars. Excellent customer service! Thanks, Denny, for helping us out. Don Scribner

Had a great experience with this dealership. Our sales guy, Randy was EXCELLENT in regards to his customer service. Professional and friendly. When we went back to financing, Joe was precise and knowledgeable. He explained everything and I walked out with a beautiful new vehicle and felt confident with our purchase. Highly recommend!

I had my free oil change done at 5k miles.Just changed oil again at 10k myself like I normally do. The drain plug was less than finger tight - I'm shocked I didn't lose all the oil.The filter was the exact opposite. It looked like a crushed can by the time I got it off because it was so tight.Service: Oil change

Great service and always willing to answer my questions. They even found a spare key the previous owners had left behind.

If there was an option for 0 stars and this review be posted, I would give 0 stars. We had our vehicle at our local mechanic when we determined the issue may be covered by the powertrain warranty. I called the main Chevrolet warranty group and the confirmed it was covered, had us contact roadside assistance, and then recommended we take the vehicle to Buckalew. I called ahead and spoke to a customer service rep and told he the issue. She said go ahead and have it towed and she'll let others know. I got the notification it was delivered so I did my follow up call. Apparently the tow truck driver wasn't given our contact information from roadside assistance and told the people at Buckalew they were just told to drop it off and they knew nothing. I guess this is what started the downhill slide. I called to make sure the service group knew the car was there and to confirm why it was there. I spoke to Perry and he said he had no clue and no one knew. Then he asked if it was the silver camera sitting outside his window, I confirmed it was. "So, why is it here?" I told him what I knew. Response from Perry for absolutely everything I said was "Yeah." Then I said "And that's all I know." "No it's not. You know you name and number." Okay, so I gave that. And I let Perry know I had spoken to warranty and what they said. His response was "Hm. Okaaaaay, yeah. Well, we will need to do a diagnostics...." the rest was typical. But the tone at the beginning regarding the warranty was VERY concerning. We decided to drive by there a couple of hours later just to check in since we didn't have a warm and fuzzy from the tone of the call.My husband was floored by the attitude we were met with. When we went in, we found out Michael was our rep for the work. We were reminded that this car was just dropped off with NO WARNING and NO INFORMATION. Keep in mind, I called before and after the towing. Michael immediately told us our car was not going to be covered by warranty. We were VERY confused. He checked with his warranty person and said it was not. We asked if they would call the main warranty people to find out why they informed us it was, and they told us they would not make that call because their warranty person was the final call. And keep in mind, the tone was so horrible I almost had to ask my husband to walk outside. He was LIVID!We still left the car because we called the main warranty line ourselves and they said they would work it out with Buckalew. We asked Michael to make sure the car was locked because it was still unlocked. We didn't sleep all night. We felt like these guys hate the fact we even exist on this earth, and we felt uncomfortable about them even caring about taking car of our vehicle. We went back up Wednesday morning to talk to Michael because it felt like everything got off on the wrong foot. I told Michael I felt like things started off wrong and I wanted to let him know I had made phone calls prior. He said "Yeah, you spoke to Perry." I said "No, I called before we scheduled the tow truck." He seemed a little shocked about that and wanted to know who I spoke to. I could not remember her name. My husband was shocked that Michael acted like I was lying to him. He was even sweating by that point. He was throwing his arms and saying "Well, it could have been him, or him, or him, or her, or her." Why does it even matter?!?! I called, I did my homework, I gave heads up so no one was shocked. I tried to schedule the service work in case that worked better. It wasn't my fault no one told them the car was coming in. By the way, I forgot I had a voicemail from the person I spoke with and her name is Melissa. Not that it should really matter, but it was Melissa. I don't think she did anything wrong. She was super nice over the phone, even when I was stressed out about being broke down and down to 1 vehicle.NEVER AGAIN will I go to this place!

Mona Hamby is one of the best car salespeople I ve experienced. She doesn t push cars, extra features or fees on you. She takes the time to explain the process and the car you re interested in. Mona is kind, genuine and doesn t try to sell you a car just for the sake of a sale. I highly, highly recommend going to Mona for your car needs.Unfortunately, it took 4 hours to get an oil change. I wasn t able to schedule an apt so I took a chance on a Thursday morning. But I spent half my day waiting for this service. I get that the service department is probably stretched very thin but some kindness and respect goes a long way. They are very short with you, and always seem too busy to help or listen to you explain what s happening.

Kept trying to cross-sell us. Charged over $4000 for brakes til my mechanic son-in-law found out they were double charging us for front and back labor. They wanted to replace our front rotors, saying they were cracked, til we asked for the old parts, then decided they could just turn the ones we had. By the time he was done, we saved $1000, but the service person wasn't happy with my son in law. On a positive note, they did a good job and finished quickly.

I found these folks to be professional and caring. They're not the cheapest place in town. They're not the quickest. But they are among the best, and they'll treat you right. Highly recommended.

Great customer service experience especially after being able to speak directly with Jeffro the mechanic who worked on my vehicle. They also appear to be receiving more inventory on a regular basis. This is a family owned business that has been in the area for numerous years.

Absolute professionals. I was kept informed every step of the way, from first taking the car in to picking it up after the work was completed. The attention to detail and customer service provided by manager Randy was top notch. Thank you for a job well done and I will be happy to recommend my friends everyday.Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

Don t expect anything to be done quickly or even in a reasonable time frame. Previously I had to wait 3 weeks for them to call me so that I could bring my truck in, that they had supposedly fixed when it was in for service previously. Which they did not and I immediately returned to Buckalew within 5 minutes but was told I would have to bring it back. After 3 weeks and following up a couple times I was finally able to get it back in.During that visit for the continuous vibration they determined that the issue was not the transmission but for them to complete a road force test I would need to pay for the vehicle that I was using from them because they were backed up. I picked up my truck and decided that we would schedule the service after I bought new tires so a road force test could be done to rule out the tires. So that s where this visit comes in.After sending an email then having to follow up with a phone call, I finally able to get an appointment scheduled for 7 am on Monday morning where I specifically asked for a road force test to be completed. Four days later, a road force test still has not been completed and instead they swapped the tires on my truck with another truck to test the tires. Then once I called them to check in on it asked me if I would like a road force test completed (what I specifically asked them to do).The purpose of making the appointment and asking for something specific to be completed does not seem to be a high concern for Buckalew. Keeping customers informed about the vehicle is also not a concern. I have had to call each day to be told the responses of the vehicle hasn t been looked at (which took 3 days to determine they would swap the tires), then that nothing else has been completed and finally being asked if I would like done to it what I brought it for.In addition, to add to this Buckalew does not provide service loaners so you will be out of pocket for a rental for the period of time that they leisurely take their time to look at your vehicle. With all that said the good things they have is their employees that you contact are respectful and professional, despite their poor service.

Having their shuttle service drop me off at work in the morning was nice and convenient. Unfortunately, their customer service department has been lacking. I've made several attempts to call at different times of the day to get a status update on my vehicle...no response, straight to voicemail. An hour goes by, I call again...no response, straight to voicemail. I call the service desk receptionist and ask if there are any repair representatives available she says, "I can see three of them at their stations, let me put you through..." straight to voicemail. I call back the receptionist, she picks up and immediately hangs up on me. This place is a joke and now i'm concerned that whatever "repairs" they've done are complete garbage.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Oil change

This is my second time receiving service here. I waited nearly 3 hours for a oil change, license plate bracket, and bow tie change. When I finally inquired after waiting patient for 2 hours; watching people come and go. I was told a service person didn t communicate with them. No one communicated with me what was going on my vehicle. I do not think I will return to receive service at this dealership. Communication is key! Also the service person who entered in my information was rude and passive aggressive. He seemed bothered by me asking for service to my vehicle and letting him know I spoke with someone when I came in to order my detail parts. The cashier checking out on the hand was very sweet, patient, and helpful.Services: Body & Trim, Oil change

I have Never had problems at Buckalew but I always buy my trucks there from Mjke Cruz and I use the same finance manager. I think they care about folks and do the best they can for a large dealership. i use Mike because I know he will get me best price he can! Great Texas folks who care about their reputation and repeat business.

Just downgraded my review from 2 stars to 1. I'd go negative if I could. My Suburban was in the shop for over a week to figure out a rubbing/squeaking noise coming from my left front suspension. They thought it was due to the leveling kit on the front end and that for $250 they would pull it off, diagnose, and then reinstall (if I wanted). I chose to have them reinstall. I was told that my vehicle was ready and that the kit was reinstalled. When I got it home, I noticed the bottom spacers of my leveling kit sitting on my floorboard under a wad of plastic that they had left in the vehicle.Trust is important, especially dealing with mechanics and especially a dealership that generally over-charges for labor. This place has lost my trust. We'll see what they do to make things right. As of right now, I'm requesting another company reinstall the kit (so I know it's done right) and that they pay for it. I'll update when/if this is resolved.

Have bought two vehicles from this dealership. They were very easy to work with and very nice. Had a problem with the infotainment center in one of the vehicles and the service department fixed it right away. Great customer service!

This dealership is only nice to you and takes care of you if you have a car thats 75,000 or more.I have 3 cars and I can tell you depending on what I bring in, depends on the service i get. Very sad.Parkway was a much better place. If you make an appointment they seem to not be in any hurry.I think they charge too much for an oil change, especially since I bought my car there. There are no perks here by being a loyal customer, go somewhere else!

We took my 2012 Camero in for an ac repair and was given a quote after the technician looked at it. We were quoted 2k and told them to go ahead. They said the windshield would have to be removed and it would most likely break and that was part of the charge.. We called numerous times 2 days later for an update, left messages for the service manager we were dealing with, no return call. I finally got in touch with the real manger and promptly got a call back from our service manager. He said our car would be ready the following day and we again confirmed the total was still 2k, even with the windshield replacement. When picking up the car the total was suddenly 3k! After fighting for a long time, we wew given the price of 2k. I will never go there again.

This is the best dealership I've been to, hands down. Buying my truck here was easy and straightforward. For over a year I've been coming back for routine maintenance and I'm always treated with respect. I would recommend Buckalew if you're looking to get a Chevy anywhere near Houston.

I tried to get a problem with my sensor figured out (check seat belt light was on for no reason) and was lied to and told the wire leading from my battery to my engine needed to be changed out and it would cost $500. The only evidence for this needing to be done they told me they could find was a little corrosion on the battery terminal. Which could mean something as simple as the battery needing to be changed or simply cleaning the battery terminals) I ended up paying $120 and didn't have a car for 3 days, to hear that they needed $500 to turn off a lingering check seat belt light. It also took the mechanics 3 days to tell me this useless information, I dropped the car off late afternoon one day and then didn't get any information until two days later. (technically afternoon Monday to afternoon Wednesday). All in all, don't go to this dealership if you need any diagnostic work done unless it's completely under warranty and you won't have to pay for it. If you do go, make sure you are waiting on the car the entire time so they actually fix the problem in a reasonable amount of time and don't keep you waiting for days.

Sounds like the other reviews purchased vehicles and were referring to the friendliness of the people here. We schedule service online for dropoff at 11:15 am. Upon arriving they informed us they're not really sure when they will get to the vehicle as they are busy. We mentioned that was the reason we scheduled the service, so it would help them in planning. Agent then stated, that only creates the order, it doesn't put you in line. He then mentioned the "internet guy" was there if we wanted to speak to him. Not real sure what the internet guy is going to do for us since the service department doesn't actually get the scheduling concept, so we passed. Maybe a talk with the owner would be nice and I could explain basic concepts of service, scheduling, customer relations, etc. I must admit my expectations are low now and unfortunately this isn't an item I'm comfortable passing onto a non Chevrolet mechanic to but we will continue to use them on a last option basis.

They repaired our truck for what was needed but a dealership is never going to be cheap nor reasonable for what we at times could do for ourselves. But I give for stars for friendliness!
