Reviewing as a long time community resident and NOT a customer of this business. I have had a few of our acquaintances not happy with their service from this business since it has been under the new ownership, so please pay attention as to WHEN most of their reviews were written. I have never used their service because I only trust and use my glass man. I understand some of these reviews and I will say as I have much experience on both sides of these reviews. In defense of Windshield Xpress, insurance companies can be very difficult to work with when filing s claim and most insurance companies do NOT pay the glass business a fair price and demand a big discount off of what they say they gonna pay. So most small business glass companies truely can not afford to mess with insurance claims. I know it's not our problem (customers) , but there are a lot of small business owners who do a great quality job but loose alot of work to the big glass companies because they can afford to take on these types of claims and gain a customer. I say consumers are better off paying out of pocket, but get it done from a reputable glass guy.Now as for the unhappy customers and shotty work I have seen myself from them...experience, experience, experience....this is something this business lacks. But if you know the process and know what to look for and are patient with employees still learning then take it there. It can be a costly expense if they screw up and most don't know until it's too late so I'll gladly stay away. For ex, if they scratch the pinch weld while cutting out old glass and don't primer and paint where it was scratched, you will get rust or leak somewhere down the line. Sadly most ppl don't know this for months or years.Bottom line, each experience is different. My reason for reviews is to help others to make the best decision for themselves. I try to be as honest as I can in my reviews. Just remember cheaper is NOT always better! I personally will keep taking my stuff where I trust they will treat my vehicle with care. I will gladly pay more for the experience and expertise. Yall have a great day!!

Amazing work at great prices! Dropped off my truck after lunch and she was done and ready before 5. Couldn't beat that timing! Respectful staff! Will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to others.

Windshield Express did an outstanding job reseating my 1999 Class A Motorhome's windshield that had popped out of the seal. They were very accommodating with my needs and concerns. They came to my campground and fixed my screw up so I could drive the RV to the shop. Then the windshield was fixed very quickly and I was able to drive it back to the campground later that same morning. Very professional and courteous folks. I highly recommend this shop if you have and automotive glass needs.Services: Auto windshield repair, Auto windshield leak repair

FORGET ABOUT THEM HANDLING YOUR INSURANCE CLAIM! Most rude, unhelpful place. I called to get a quote to replace my windshield, told them I needed it so I could give it my insurance company who would fund it at 100%. Lady refused to help in any way possible. Refused to talk to my insurance who was going to pay for repair. Stated she doesn't do that, over and over, and it was up to me. I asked to bring the car there and told her I'd call and deal with the insurance, she wouldn't have to. Nope, she said, I'm not doing that. Even their website states they will handle your insurance claim for you! I've used them before for rock chips, she will make you call your insurance company yourself. Long story short, did not get my windshield replaced here. Don't go to this place ever, zero customer service! I'll never return.

Always so friendly and quick. I typically call same day and get windshield replacement done same day. Will only go here for a fair price and friendly, professional service.

Had an 8 a.m appointment to have new windshield installed. They were working on a truck cab when I arrived. They said. "We will finish him up and get you in". An hour later They were still working on the truck cab. I left. They did call me and apologized and ask me to reschedule as they "want my business ". I may call them next week and reschedule, but right now I am not real pleased with them.

Unable to replace my high tech windshield. Obviously need more experience and training with late model vehicles. They were unable to calibrate the windshield to work with my OEM forward facing camera. Told me it was because I had lifted the truck one inch. I called a national windshield truck in Houston and they have done many trucks up to a three inch lift. I questioned why he didn t put an OEM windshield in. He said my insurance wouldn t pay for it. I called my insurance company and they said thats not correct, State Farm will pay for OEM windshield. The owner requested I take it some where else to get it finished and he would repay me for the calibration. I took it to another shop and they couldn t calibrate it either so the just installed windshield would have to be removed and replaced. Obviously I won t be taking anything to these people in Columbus. I had OEM windshield installed by Caliper Auto Glass Katy and now everything works fine.

Always have fixed our chips perfectly!! Also just replaced my windshield and it didn t take that long!! Staff is always friendly and professional, they dealt with the insurance company for us on all occasions..Highly recommend!!

Edited based on my recent experiences under new ownership - This is my second windshield under the new ownership. Terrible service, low quality work. I'll drive to Houston and wait for it next time. It took me over seven weeks to get my windshield replaced. Granted I was out of town for two of those weeks, but I tried to make an appointment every week for three weeks before I left. I finally scheduled an appointment for when I got back. When I returned, I called to confirm and they told me they couldn't do it the next day because they weren't sure they had the right windshield. They asked me if it took a 34 or a 35. How was I supposed to know?Finally had it replaced today, 46 days after they received the claim. Picked the car up and they had installed the windshield wipers wrong. Went back again and got that fixed, but noticed several chips along the edge of the windshield. We'll see if those run in the next couple of weeks.Service: Auto windshield replacement

I had two windshields replaced with Windshield Express in Columbus, TX. One for my Honda Civic, one for a Chevy work truck. I was very impressed with the knowledge of proper windshield replacement and professionalism of this company. I will use them again if needed and I highly recommend them

The customer service at Windshield Xpress is phenomenal. I needed to get my windshield replaced due to a crack in it. When requesting a quote via phone I spoke with Tom. I was unsure of all the features associated with my windshield, who knew there were so many options? Tom allowed me to take pictures of my windshield and text them to him to make sure the proper one was ordered! We set an appointment up for the following day at 3:30. I received a call around 12 to tell me the windshield had arrived and everything looked great, I could come in early if I would like. I made it all the way there only to forget my wallet at home. Lollie and Tom were so patient with me and tried every option available (Apple Pay) so I didn't have to drive all the way home. Needless to say I had to drive home and they were so understanding. Other businesses I have been to would have treated me as if I were inconveniencing them. They were both very kind and just welcoming. Lollie kept me preoccupied while Tom worked on my baby and answered all my questions in regards to how the glass is replaced and what to expect. Tom even came in to check on me as well. I would so much rather give my money to a local business rather than a corporation. Let me just say they have forever made an impression on me and I will come back for all future services. They treated me as if i was family and lets be honest you can't get that at most business these days. Thank you so much for your hospitality Tom and Lollie. I am so grateful! I would give Windshield Xpress ten stars if I could and I will defiantly be recommending this business to friends and family!

I had my window replaced very quick. The staff was very sweet and helpful with any questions I had. They have a very nice waiting room with a view of your vehicle.

Local business with very friendly staff. I've had a windshield replaced and I've had repair. They are always pleasant and available. The insurance process is easy and it can be a touchless process. I recommend.

I took a rock in my windshield on my way from Houston to San Antonio, I just stopped by. They got it repaired quickly and I was on my way.

Rude front desk lady, would give zero stars if possible. Weren't able to help because the car had a camara on the windshield. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
