If you want a wonderful experience this is the place to visit! Very clean and well maintained. You can tell consideration went into planning the navigation of big RVs. The people in the building are friendly and very helpful. The spots give you beautiful views of the lake. The fishing pier was nice for just relaxing. Clean facilities are always appreciated! Absolutely WONDERFUL stay and will definitely return and tell all our friends about it.

I'm a renter here on a 2-year lease and I love it. The people that live here full time are very nice. Erika Feece in the office is amazing. She does everything she can to take care of your needs. Doesn't matter if you live here full time or renting a cabin for the weekend. You will be taken care of. The area itself is stunning. Deer that will walk right up to you, 3 pools, a splash pad, a very nice sand bar on the river that makes you feel like you're at the beach, and 5 ponds to fish in plus the river. So if you are looking for an area for peace and quiet, scenery straight out of the movies, and just to relax then this is the perfect place for you!

Took my family here for the first time the other weekend. The place was beautiful, and we loved it! The only thing that I noticed was you have to go to more of a common space to use a grill or tables unless you bring your own. So my advice would bring your own grill and table. Other than that the place was very nice and quiet.

If you enjoy nature, cookouts, and the great outdoors, you will love The Texas Preserve. Great place to ride bicycles, fish, swim, and observe deer and birds. Definitely, My Favorite Camping Getaway!!!

The preserve land, scenery, and wildlife are some of the best in Texas bar none. The property management could use some work. Much of the community spaces are maintained to a bare minimum. Overall though, it s beautiful and has frankly been the best purchase I ve ever made.

The place we stayed in with friends was great. We enjoyed the serenity of the place especially the lake. The only thing we don t like was the road but aside from that everything was great

Great layout, beautiful country, but the roads are horrible. If you don't want extra expenses on repairs on your vehicle, I suggest to take a truck down their roads.

We absolutely LOVED our stay! Didn t want to leave when it was time! I loved the nature and seclusion! My children (6&4) loved the water and fishing. Also loved riding their bikes and taking our dog on walks. We will definitely be staying there again! Check in and out was extremely easy as well!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Horrible experience. My family and I encountered the most horrific people in this community, who ruined our whole weekend. Racist, horrid people. Not kid friendly. Not nice. Place looks like a dump. Just horrible. Managers tried to apologize but the damage was already done. Beyond disappointed and disgusted.

The river flows through this land and it had flooded in the past. It's some what crowded with divided lots, it has nature, but not privacy as we would expected like a ranch. It feels like a big camp ground at a state park.

I don t know much about the land they are offering, but they do have some bad business practices.

We are looking for an RV site to purchase. According to the Facebook page they are "Always open", so we drove out mid day on Saturday to take a look. Big sign out front says sales office open. But they weren't. Lady at the front gate was nice enough but said we could not go in without a property owner or a salesman, not even for a quick look. Poorly managed, first impressions are everything..Lost our business.

This place seems to charge a lot of money for their HOA but the roads and landscaping definitely doesn't look like anybody does anything. Then every time you see a complaint talking about how poorly everything looks the owner of the community gets on there and says how much work they put into new homes and tiny houses. The last time I checked HOA dues were meant to go to making the property beautiful not enriching the community owner. I wonder if they're going to eventually get sued for fraud because clearly it seems they're using the money in ways they shouldn't be using it.

Really beautiful grounds some of every kind from real manicured to total forest. Great staff and decent pricing on monthly which includes all utilities. You can buy your site which is a big insensitive to live here.

Not even sure where to start with this. We moved in here couple months ago with being told the roads would be fixed is the only reason to decided to take the spot. We loved it out there the time we were there but the roads ran us out because it literally took 20 minutes just to get back to our home with all the deep holes in the road. Joe has told us one lie after another for us to find out there has been no plans to repair the roads. Joe will tell you anything he thinks you want to hear just to get you in. Erica is by far the best. I just wished she was in charge more because I know things would get taken care of around this place. She is the sweetest and go above and beyond her job and I believe she definitely needs more Recognition then what she receives as well. If it wasn t for her this place would really go to hell. Thank you Erica for all your hard work.

Recently took a trip to explore the possibility of retiring there. I was very impressed at the obvious care and attention the new owners are displaying toward making the Preserve a beautiful, relaxing place. We looked at several homesites and were really enthused by the idea of having all that beautiful nature in our own backyard. I took some time to talk to a few homeowners and was glad to hear they were all happy with their decisions to live there. It was a great trip and I'm sure we'll make the choice to join this awesome community.

Love my family's place here. But have some issue with the way the place is ran. The roads are normally in pretty bad shape. This last summer the pools were open then closed then open then closed I think due to equipment malfunction. But they do have nice parks river access and most of the facilities are kept in good repair. They have putt putt golf but when I went there I didn't see anywhere to checkout equipment. The splash pad is there but I could not see any way to turn it on and no employees were anywhere in sight.

Well you see I actually stay at the preserve of texas, i rent a camper spot there. First off amd foremost thr scenery is beautiful exactly what you think it looks like but the home owners and other renters are snobby nosey an s just outright disgraceful. Domt you dare go 1 mike an hour over thr speed limit cause they have radar guns and will chase you down

Came here to visit my parents. Boy.... what a dump!! What kind of owner or management company would let their property look like this???? Good thing I didn't have to rent a car because it would probably end up needing repairs by the way these roads have potholes every two feet. Could you atleast replace the bulbs in the string lights at the entry way and turn them on or just TAKE THEM DOWN!! Talk about lazy you should be flat out embarrassed and humiliated for your lack of professionalism and even self respect!!!!! Prayers to you!!! I would have loved to give negative stars!place a little inviting or JUST TAKE THEM DOWN!!place the bulb's color

I'm a property owner and since the day I've bought a lot here I've had high hopes for this place. I envision a developed camp ground full of family fun. After several years the dream is just that: a dream, but still I hope. The land is beautiful, full of deer and scenery. several lakes and the the Trinity river runs through it. The down fall us it's prone to flooding. Property owners have paid extra just to access their lots for road repairs. For years it was miss managed and the common areas fell in disrepair. This visit of the 3 pools on the property all closed to damage from the last flood. The cabins all damaged. Still I hope and with each small improvement I dare to dream that this area will reach it's full potential.

I was there Saturday and will give you a honest review also to what I have seen others post about. Sales office was open, electric gate and keypad was working fine. Yes the roads need some fill added which should be a easy task for them to complete. Spash pad was open and 2 pools (adult pool, wilderness) other one closed. Plenty of deer, birds, trees, lakes, pond, river (wildlife and nature lovers place). To the comments stating it floods there, (hello) we are near the coast - along a major river so duhh.. When I worked in Houston the city flooded its part of living near water that's why depending your home site will require being at a certain level and if a hurricane was coming I think many people would think in advance to put their RV along the river (most are 100 year flood lots). Nice place overall, start by fixing the roads and go from there.

I called on a Saturday to schedule appointment for Sunday afternoon. Got there 15 min early and office was closed. So of course waited until our appointment time to see if anyone would show up. No one did so I called the #'s listed on the door and someone text me back that they would contact the rep. Waited 10 minutes and someone called and stated he wasn't aware of the appointment but could be there in 30 minutes. So we followed someone in so we can drive around and look while we Waited and when we got back to the office still no one was there and other people were there waiting as well. If the office says they are open 7days a week during certain hours then someone should be there.I did talk to someone by text and asked if they could mail or email me some info and I'm still waiting.. so I'm done trying to get any info on this place. Very disappointed

Beautiful location, they are making great improvements with the beach area and the front pavilion with putt-putt, splash pad, and water slide but they also need to make the improvements they promised a year or two ago and clear out the lakes. They also need to remodel or build new cabins, the current cabins are super cheap but super old and out of date (no television). Over all it is a becoming a great getaway location.

I own property here. I haven't got to build anything yet. I look forward to getting to know the place. I was told that they only give tours to couples. So I had to drag my husband out there. He thought it was a time share...... anyways, I kinda don't blame them though. How many times does someone buy something behind the other's back and then there are problems. However, I did have a great buying experience. The salesman was down to earth and funny. I like this place because everyone is on the same page. We all want a peaceful place to relax. Worry free. I plan on taking my RV and camping in the extra camp spots they have for owners who don't have their spots ready yet.
