This place will charge you a diagnostic fee of $140 and refuse to remove it even should you decide to get the work done there. Not only that, the diagnostic that they did was totally incorrect in the first place. After they repaired what they thought was wrong, then they come back and say something else is wrong (very sus if you ask me; sounds like the normal auto repair scam). If they would have done a proper diagnostic, they would have known that the problem was not just a hose, but also the radiator. Then they order the wrong size radiator and it takes even longer for them to finish the repair. Should you happen to brake down on the road, DO NOT bring your vehicle to these scam artists.

What you hope for is to find a trustworthy shop, that has a well managed operation. One that understands the importance of communication, and is professional and knowledgeable.This was our first time dealing with Akin Auto Care. I will say that our experience was positive, and I wouldn't hesitate one bit to bring my vehicle back in the future.

I bought an older truck to lower my insurance cost since retirement. I was looking for an honest mechanic to take care of my truck. Aiken fits that bill. Very pleased with their service and follow up.

Akin Auto does phenomenal job and cares about their customers. They even go the extra mile and follow after performing work to make sure you vehicle is running great! Highly Recommend!

I have used Akins for many years now. They are always honest & knowledgeable and they try and get my car back to me as quickly as possible. I recommend them if you need someone to work on your vehicle.

Akin Automotive actually did what they said they would do. That is becoming almost impossible in America, these days. They charged me a fair price and turned my truck back over to me in a quick, efficient manner. The result was a fixed problem and double the gas mileage. They never promised me that. Well done!

If I could give 20 stars I would. The service and trust here is like something I ve never experienced. Especially someone like me who knows nothing about auto repair. Since I know nothing about cars there was full transparency from them before they did anything. I m in customer service and a big part of that is putting the customer at ease. They did that and then some. Referrals will be heading your way when I know a friend in need.

They were able to help arrange towing as well as financing for repairs. Helpful in explaining work, what was necessary, what could wait. Understood my disability made getting there at certain times difficult. Friendly & accommodating.

Thank you! These people totally are honest and they actually saved my daughters life today! I will be taking our cars here from now on. They could of highway robbed us but they did what was needed and that was all.

I have used Akins Auto a few times, I have always received prompt service, all issues are brought to light and they only fix what you approve. Rates and parts are competitively priced in my opinion. Easy to work with

Was traveling through following my mom's funeral when I ran into car trouble. Still thousands of miles from home, I was so fortunate to end up at Akins. Chad took the time to explain everything to me, then would not let me tip him nor pay for services. His kindness brought tears to my eyes; quite literally. I didn't get the names of the office staff, but they were kind as well making my car woes a welcomed detour from the long journey home.

What an amazing first experience with Akin Auto Care! Brought in a service vehicle, they were super quick to diagnose and repair the turbo sensor and also had them replace brakes and change the oil. The entire team was super friendly and very responsive to the needs of our company and the quick turn around! Thanks Again! These guys are truly amazing. I had a bit of an emergency and they stepped up and handled things while I waited. Very knowledgeable and willing to help. Word of advice to anyone who who is thinking about going to this Auto shop, don't it's not worth your money the employees here will suck you out of cash dry within 5 minutes on checking out your vehicle not to mention the workers there are very rude! All in all this business is absolute trash!Message to akin's owners: Ok, look just because I wasn't registered down as a customer and didn't put down on file my personal email it dosent mean that I didn't stop in! And how can you sit there assuming that I wasn't inside the shop when you don't even know what I look like!!

Excellent place ! I am very picky when it comes to the mechanic shop I was searching a reliable mechenic on Google reviews regardless of a distance I live in Sugarland and didn t mind to drive good distance to get my car fix with some reliable and trustworthy mechanic so I find this place 1 hr 20 from my home and it s all worth it soon I get in the shop I got a positive vibe trust me guys I do not have enough words to describe this place just try it once and thanks me later !!

These people are straight up crooks,con artists and liars.took a vehicle up there and got a pcv valve changed and when I went to pick it up I was told that one of my valve cover bolts was stripped out which wasn t before I took it up there or it would ve been pouring oil out like it was after I picked it up.went up there 3 different times to be told the owner would call me which never happened, went back again to be quoted $2100 to fix it.they will not take responsibility for their faults and will not work with you in any way,I wouldn t let them put air in a bicycle tire.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else and save yourself a major headache from dealing with these unprofessional people.

Considering I had been to three places in town trying to get a state inspection and the wait was well over an hour I called ahead and confirmed that they did do inspections and was in and out in about 10 minutes!

A great experience!!! Traveling through and my AC compressor clutch went out. I had my three dogs with me and riding three more hours wasn't an option. Gave Akin's a call, pulled in and they started taking care of my car. Since I had my dogs I figured that I would be required to sit and wait outside, they allowed me to bring my dogs in and wait in the air conditioning. Couldn't have been more pleased since they were already starting to overheat from riding with no AC for an hour. Since I needed the repair done that day because I had a conference to attend in the morning, they went above and beyond to make sure I got the part I needed. I was kept informed by both the owner and the front office. The shop is clean and well maintained. I wish these guys were in my hometown, I'd have somewhere to take my vehicle without feeling like I was getting the run around and being over charged!!! The diagnostic wasn't free, but most people throw that in and then overcharge for other things to make up the difference. So I was ok with paying for a diagnostic and then paying for reasonable parts and labor. Thanks so much guys!!! And my dogs are grateful too!!!!

Im so discussed with this shop my car sat there 4 days and was not fixed . I took my car to D&D auto repair and they had it fixed in a hour. All it was that it needed to be recalibrated when you put the brake switch on. And ya'll couldn't figure that out. I would of figured Chad would have known that. Very nice and polite staff

This is by far the best place I ve taken my vehicle to. Amazing hospitality and the most genuine people you ll ever meet the mechanic was amazing and the owner was great. The receptionist was great with my son. The pricing was more than reasonable. I ll never take my vehicle anywhere else.

I don t know what happened to this garage had great experience previously but recently put my vehicle in for a stalling problem. They recommended a repair and I authorized it. Did not change the problem . Brought it back twice no change. Third time was told to take to a mechanic that can handle the electrical problem. No offer about the $1000 I paid to take care of the issue

Had an alignment done, truck still pulled.Took it back next day, was told 30 mins they would get back on it.Truck sat all afternoon with broken promises on completion. I emphasized how important the truck being completed today was.I finally had to pick it up and take it elsewhere. After 5.5 hours
