Urgent - Potential Safety Issue After Service at Discount Tire, 2720 E Whitestone Blvd, 78613I am writing this review to report a potentially serious safety concern following a rotation and balancing service performed at the Discount Tire, 2720 E Whitestone Blvd, 78613 (04/01/24).While driving home at approximately 55 mph, I experienced a severe vibration in the vehicle. This vibration was so significant that I was forced to slow down quickly to maintain control and avoid an accident. The shaking made it difficult to hold onto the steering wheel, causing a great deal of concern.Upon closer inspection, I discovered that one of the tires serviced lacked any balancing weights entirely (picture attached). Furthermore, none of the weights on the other three tires appeared to have been replaced during the service. This leads me to believe the balancing procedures may not have been completed properly, potentially compromising the safety of my vehicle.For reference, I have attached a picture of the tire missing balancing weights.In light of this experience, I strongly recommend that customers are advised to test drive their vehicles after receiving services to ensure there are no vibrations.I would appreciate if Discount Tire could investigate this safety matter further as to prevent this from happening with other customers in the future.

Nick S. and the team at the Cedar Park location are the reason all my tire and tire service business has gone to Discount Tire for the past 20 years. Professional and knowledgeable with a focus on customer service. I couldn t have asked for more when they serviced the tires on my triple axle MYCO boat trailer yesterday. Determined that the valve stems were leaking, replaced them with the appropriate high pressure valve stems and back on the road within an hour.Thanks again to Nick and all at the Cedar Park location !!

S/O to Daniel, Jaden, and team at Discount Tire for saving the day for a carpool mom driving a vulnerable vehicle from school to soccer. Thank you for providing reliable, fast, first class, caring, customer-minded service. Knowledgeable, Daniel identified the root cause of my tire issue, alerted me to an unknown yet serious tire problem, recommended the best (and in-stock) solutions for my vehicle, and resolved the problems completely. When I called Discount Tire before I even brought in my Suburban for service, they reassured me that they could help me today and advised me to air up my tire before driving. Overall, Discount Tire delivered. While I'd never plan another tire issue, next time my "Flat tire" light notifies me, I'll call on Discount Tire.

This is a message to all tire shops that compete with the cedar park discount tire. George Hostetler has guaranteed to his employers that he made a customer for life. I am that customer great service great prices. He did so good if I find somewhere cheaper I still will stay loyal to Discount Tire.Visit this location ask for George.Thank you sir!!!

I've been going here for over 10 years and use Discount Tires for all my tire needs. They were able to give me a good deal and replace all 4 tires in 30 minutes. My service tech and closer were both super friendly. I love my Discount Tire!

Jacob the senior associate at this location was beyond helpful! not afraid to say I was pretty weary of what the price tag and experience was going to be getting all new tires on my lifted truck having never done it before. Jacob made it simple, gave me all the knowledge I needed to make an informed decision and made the whole process pretty fun honestly. Special ordered my tires got them in next day called me so I could see the tread and In no time I was rolling away on some sweet tires!

Caught a screw in my front tire, and schedule the check-in; despite the fact that the place was completely SLAMMED from the amount of people needing service (it was like an airport in a war-torn country with people trying to evacuate), the crew was moving efficiently and professionally dealing with customers who were complaining even though all the crazy activity was visible. It took an hour, but they fixed my tire and thanked me for my patience. Good teamwork and attitude needs to be recognized!

I have got my tires here for as long as I can remember. Just bought new tires yesterday. Onmy way home the low pressure light came on. One tire only had 30 lbs in it. Got home and put air in it and noticed my rims were scuffed up. There were 3-4 techs working on my truck. Too many techs on one vehicle. Will still buy tires here but I ll pay better attention. Discount tires is still my tire store.

I've been a customer for over 6 years. Completely rude service. This location was closest to my house. Noone picks up call. I went to the store and was ignored. A gentleman behind me was helped before I was even though the customer told him I came in before him. I still waited and made an appt, thinking the rep was having a bad day. I went back for my appt, and another rep was assigned to me. He seemed agitated that he could not upsell to me and made me feel terrible about it. That was enough for me to walk away. This is a culture issue, it wasn't isolated to just one individual. I decided to go to the discount tire on 620. Much better service and 100 times more professional. They gave me what I needed and their recommendations. No shark tactics, no guilt trip. I'll drive an extra 10 minutes to not have such a terrible experience. I was a hair away from considering another company. Train your people. Customer service is still a thing and will always be, or you will lose business.

Made a 2:30 appointment the same day and was checked in by that time and promised that they would be done in 45 minutes and they were done a few minutes before. I was very happy with the service that I received, I will definitely use them again in the future.

I've seen more organization, common sense and standards in the lemonade stand run by 10-year-olds on my street verses this organization at this location.In response to your responce, start doing drug testing at your facility or don't hire managers like Justin that act like they are on drugs if this policy is in place.

Technicians were great. But a guy at the counter tried to sell me there rims, he said I shouldn t go with Honda OEM wheels because they were gonna be $600. Luckily I did not buy from them. I looked up the Honda OEM rims were only $280

Been going to Discount Tire for years - the best service, communicative, and always go above and beyond when I ve worked with them. Tire insurance with discount tire has been a breeze. This location in particular is by far my favorite, especially for the speed of the free air check/fill.Highly recommend!!

Always been a fan of Discount Tire. I've replaced tires on 7 or 8 cars or trucks over the years while living in Scottsdale, AZ and here in Asutin.They have one focus...tires! They aren't trying to sell you unnecessary services (engine oil or fuel system flush which you rarely need) etc. They are selling tires of course but they aren't blowing smoke when they show you how your existing tread compares to the recommended tread. As an experienced amateur auto repair guy who's rebuilt engines and seen the underside of a few cars in my lifetime, I trust them.They are very accurate when it comes to the estimated completion time...within a couple minutes and always early.Their tire reps are always courteous and professional.Their formula works and I am a loyal customer.

My colleague recommended me discount tire and I replaced all four tires with new Michelin tires two years ago. But two of tires loose pressure slowly over a month or two. I went back to ask them fix this but they said they don t have any problems. Now I basically have to pump air every month on these two tires. Poor quality and service

Do not trust this location with your vehicle. My rims were brand new special order I trusted them to dismount 4 tires from the old rims & install on the new rims and balance the new wheels with tires. They tried use hammer on wheel weights a company like Discount should know that the rims were stick on (static balance) only. So much for my new powder coated finish. The tires weren't even balanced correctly.

Nice service!I scheduled the the tire inspection for one of my Tesla Model 3 tire, which possibly needs a patch.And checked in and wait for 30 min.My tire got patched with free charge!Whole process was smooth and easy.Will definitely come back if I want to replace my tire!

My husband, Bob, thought there was a slow leak in a tire that we purchased from Discount Tire. The employee helping him evaluated the tire, and determined that it just needed increased pressure, because we did just return from a 1325 miles road trip.He was professional and honest not to try and sell me any new tires or any other service, yeah money saved! The employee who filled the tires to the correct pressure was equally pleasant and customer service oriented. We have bought all our tires for both of our vehicles at Discount Tire and will continue to do so.

I had been having trouble driving to Austin with low air pressure and the tire sensors on my fairly new 2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited Hybrid. I stopped by the popular discount tire store, and there was a long line of cars needing their tires checked. I parked and waited inside the store as I thought there was a problem with both my tires and the sensors. The employee who heard my tale of being unable to get all 4 tires up to pressure at 3 different air machines, inspected my tires. He had the valves fixed, and the sensors corrected within 15 minutes, at no charge!

This location is by far the best in Williamson County, Cedar Park, TX. I live in Georgetown and will drive to this one just for the exceptional customer service I get. I had an appointment today and got right in and experience was amazing. Kuddos to all staff for working hard and making a difference!

I brought a trailer tire in late in the day. I was helped right away. Leo took my tire back and within minutes, he had replaced a cracked valve stem and aired it up and ready to go. I asked him how much I owed him and he said no charge. I was expecting to have to leave the tire and make another trip in to pick it back up. Great service especially close to closing time. Thank you.

It's been a little over a year with my new tires, and I am very happy. I've been back a couple times for free rotate and balance. It's clear the people at this Discount Tire care about getting you the right tires for your vehicle and driving situation. My previous tires were wearing too much on the rear while pulling a pop-up camper, so the associate recommended a set of Continental tires that would be better. So far, they are wearing very evenly all the way around! And they are quiet and stay balanced longer. Everyone has treated me with respect and are very concerned with how happy I am as a customer. Honestly, I think they just like what they do!
