I will never in a gazillion years take my vehicles anywhere else. In a world where it seems no one can be trusted, especially not in the automotive service industry, the team at Dave s always acts with the utmost level of professionalism, competence, reliability, and responsiveness. I trust Dave s implicitly and if they are never not around, I would be VERY SAD. If I didn t have a job already, I d probably apply to work there despite knowing nothing about cars. At almost every other auto shop, I ve been talked down to, oversold, and made out to be a fool. Not here. Dave s is THE place and if you re going anywhere else, you re probably going to get screwed.

Reasonable and respectful. Never have issues scheduling service. My vehicle repairs/service have gone well. Customer reps are polite and communicative. I would appreciate a more consistent follow-through on paperwork. Pricing is very adequate for me.

Did a decent job on my vehicle & reasonable price but completely lacked any communication.They kept my car for 3 days instead of 1 and never called me to let me know of what s going on. I had to call them multiple times and I didn t get good answers then

I ve only been in the Austin area for over 4 years. I come from far west Texas and I can tell you that customer service in my hometown is superior to anything I ve experienced out here. I called Dave s Ultimate Automotive in Cedar Park to get an estimate on some shocks for my vehicle. I had already gotten 2 other estimates from other automotive shops. I needed to get one more. I spoke with a guy at Dave s who seemed to be bothered that I was calling to ask for an estimate. He said he couldn t give me one without providing my vehicle s VIN number. Ok, so I called back and gave it to him. He said he would call me back asap with that estimate. Six hours later, no call-back. I called and happened to speak to the same guy. He said he didn t have time because people kept walking in the business. I was like huh? He said he would get that to me through text message. I never got it. The following day, I called again. This time I spoke with another individual and he said they were working on my estimate. This is day two. How long does it take to get an estimate? I called once again and this time the guy was plain rude, started complaining that they were short staffed that people kept quitting on them. It appears that this is not a great place to work at. I gave up and went with another shop. I described the experience I had trying to get an estimate with Dave's Automotive with this other shop. The other shop told me that Dave s Automotive was terrible and not reputable. Of course they would say something like this, they want my business. And guess what? They got it. They even gave me a discount for being a first-time customer. Dave s Automotive obviously has issues with their employees. I have some tips for you all. Learn how to problem solve. Learn to be courteous to potential customers. Don t lie to people and say you will call them back. Call people back when they request a quote, unless this is something you do not provide. I could have been a potential customer.

Took my 2018 Kia Sportage to Dave's (Cedar Park). They were able to repair a very nasty oil leak that the Kia dealership couldn't even find. Considering all they did (oil leak, back breaks, and resolving an electrical issue), they were fast and their prices were very reasonable. Above all, they were very, very courteous. I highly recommend them!

I did not have the repairs done here, but I did ask for my car to be diagnosed and it was a disaster experience. I asked the front desk how much was the diagnostic fee and it was $200 which I understood and was happy to pay. The front desk told me they would call me at 2 in the afternoon for the issues found in inspection. No calls until 5pm when I decided to call for an update on the inspection, but they told me they were finished with the inspection, but they still needed time to put together the quote. Then they said they ll email the quote around 8 in the evening. The email never came until next morning at 8am. However, they sent the quote link in the text message. As I reviewed the quote, I found some irregularities in the quote like there was a charge of over $600 for the item that doesn t exist on the internet. When I brought it up in the text message, they never replied back. Having a bad gut feeling, I showed up and asked to pick up my car. I asked for the quote print and was waiting to pay the diagnostic fee. When they handed me the quote print, the $600 charge was removed on the quote. I asked why it was put in there in first place. They made a mistake and didn t pay attention to the quote. I asked if the inspection was legitimate and done correctly because they made a mistake with the quote so how were I to know that this quote is accurate according to the inspection? They realized their mistake and decided to waive the diagnostic fee. I m glad they owned up to their mistake. All I will say is make sure you always read the quote thoroughly. I would feel bad if I actually paid the quote and found out later it was a very expensive mistyped quote. The good news is I found another place and met a honest mechanic. It was fixed right away and had a very fair price. Thanks for taking the time to read this.Response to the owner: it s no surprise that you would resort to deception so you could claim that it was a misunderstanding because I m deaf? Yea, I m completely deaf, but not dumb. Big difference right there. Good to know you would continue lying to the public out there and continue your shady practices.

I brought my 2018 Rav4 in due to a vibration and what I thought was an oil leak. They diagnosed, showed me pics of the problems, and fixed it within a day. Turned out to be transmission and now the car runs smoothly again.

Always pleased with the high levels of customer service and work performed! Cody is great at communicating and ensuring our requested work is performed. This time it was a really tricky request as our driver's side door was locked and refused to open. To say we were in a "jam" is an understatement! The team got the job done and we are grateful not to climb over the middle console from the passenger side anymore. Took a hit to the bank account - but what are you gonna do?

UPDATE 2023: We have a newer model Mercedes now and we still don't go anywhere but Dave's. The dealership is a scam, these people actually care about your car and your happiness. Like legitimately care. We'll be customers for LIFE!Absolute BEST place to take your car, especially if you LOVE your car. We won't let anyone else touch ours.They fully explain anything that's going on and will even show you what's happening. We've been enough times now to know they're not the type to break stuff to force you back in. Honesty and integrity are obvious here.Manager Michelle runs this place like a Fortune 500 company with perfect service, accountability, and direct speak. Love it!

Dave's was a lifesaver! I had severe rodent damage on my 2018 Hyundai Tucson and spent months working with my insurance company just trying to find a qualified mechanic. Joe coordinated with my agent to process my claim and proactively kept me updated on the status and timelines. The mechanics also finished on time, and my Tuscon lives once again. Thanks team! Honesty and integrity is why I go to Dave's Ultimate Automotive in Cedar Park. From past experience, I know they provide good service at a fair price. I don't feel the same about other auto repair shops. I've been told by other shops that I needed brake service when I had several thousand miles left on my brakes. Dave's takes the time to explain why and when the repair is needed. If it doesn't need to be repaired right away, they will let you know. I am very pleased with Dave's Cedar Park. I am a rather private person, and don't write public reviews. But Dave s came through again for me on my recent service this week, and so I need to speak up!Both the Customer Service and Mechanics Teams are superb. My experience with them goes back to 2020. Michelle, Cody and Joe at the front desk, have been there as long as I can remember answering my naive questions. Mechanics isolate a problem s root cause, keeping costs down. I have never had 2 very different cars be handled with the same great consistency at one place. Thank you, Dave's!

Service Manager Michelle is top notch. Everyone at Dave s is wonderful, but I just got used to Michelle years ago, so I always ask for her. The entire team at Dave s in Cedar Park exceed expectations. They are responsive, communicate with the customer, and they do very good work. Their estimates are accurate and I consider the cost of repair to be reasonable for the quality that you get. There may be some cheaper auto repair shops, but Dave s is pretty competitive in their pricing and they have discounts for repeat loyal customers. They back their work, they are honest and even as busy as they get, they do their best to get vehicles in and out as quickly as possible. I highly recommend Dave s and would recommend anyone that needs auto repair to give them a try.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Air conditioning, Oil change

I showed up out of the blue, without an appointment or calling ahead. Joe listened to everything I had to say and took really good notes. Then he read them back to me and followed up with clarifying questions to make sure they understood all of my concerns - and I had a lot. My car was NOT properly cared for at QualTech.At the end of day one, Joe called me to confirm my initial code analysis, told me what they did to test it and said that they would test further on day two. [fantastic communication]At the end of day two, we had a thorough and complete report, with photos. comments, suggestions, etc. Very impressive.Unfortunately we have to take the vehicle back to QualTech so they can fix what they broke. $2700 worth of computers and wiring. QualTech has already had the car for 3 days at the time of this review and I have not heard one peep, not one text or phone call.As soon as the computer is fixed, we are returning to Dave's for the other work they recommend: brakes, suspension, new oil pan etc.I highly recommend Dave's to anyone that understands and appreciates the value of good communication and a thorough diagnosis.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

My car is possibly the worst car in history. It s required more than six repairs in the last six months. Dave s Automotive did an amazing job and got it all fixed up and at very competitive price.Michelle was my case manager and she must be a saint because she had to deal with my silly car for several visits. She was so patient with me and explained all the repairs in detail.The price of the repairs with considerably lower than I got quoted at some other local places and the work done was top notch.Highly recommend.Services: Electrical repair, Engine repair

I could have come on here and given David s Ultimate a bad review because I had an issue with a diagnoses and repair on my F-150.But because of the outstanding customer service I got each time I spoke to Michelle, Cody and Joe, I knew that if I voiced my concerns directly with them they would take care of the issue.I contacted them and explained my concerns. They asked for some time to investigate. Then they came back and took care of me better than I expected.Services: Electrical, General repairs
