John, exceeds customer service! He got my car in and out quick after a caution cone came out of no where and punctured a hole in the bottom of my cars transmission fluid reservoir. All went smooth. Then after paying my deductible and picking up the car John calls me about a week later and tells me I have a 300.00 credit!!! No one had to do that... I would have never known. John is an honest, upfront gentleman with Integrity. This AAMCO is your place.

I had a great experience with John and his team. I had a morning appointment, and they had my car diagnosed the very same day.John took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and was very patient and answered all my questions. I never felt talked down to or dismissed - something that has happened to me multiple times at other repair shops. I m very pleased with their great customer service and attention to detail - added bonus is that they didn t charge me to diagnose my car. Bottom line- great company, great value. Thanks AAMCO!!!

Hats off to John and his technicians. Took my vehicle in because I heard the noise that I wasn't familiar with. The technicians diagnosed and found the problem. John negotiated my warranty agreement and had a positive answer within 24 hours.. after receiving the parts, my vehicle was repaired and runs great.

I regret choosing Aamco for my routine clutch change. After they replaced the clutch, my car functioned for only 9 months. Subsequent replacements of the slave and master cylinder, and later the flywheel, provided short-lived solutions. Thankfully, another mechanic resolved the issue, and my car has been problem-free for over a week. Aamco's lack of diagnostic skills and tendency to replace parts without understanding the underlying problem led to unnecessary expenses. I do not recommend this shop.

Spent 3 years here hoping for assurance in having a functional car. ECM fries and spend 3 months with no car.1400 fix and same problem a year later.ECM specialist (whom they have to find and bring to site) calibrates and still can't find root of the problem while owner of store stresses how spec has 15 years of experience and still can't figure out the problem.$3000 later after second ECM replaced they still don't know the issue but made the car "function" and told me to find someone who specializes in wiring a car.Why am I having specialists having to travel to find the problem only to tell me to go somewhere else?That's the issue.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Honest and helpful - in my case, I didn't know if replacing the transmission in my old car with other major problems was going to be worth it. They ran diagnostics at no cost, found the problem, gave me the cost of the solution and answered all my questions. No high pressure sales to get the work done and supportive of my decisions. Highly recommend!

The customer service manager (John Powers) took care of me and my Tacoma. He was able put my mind at ease about a previous transmission fluid change. I went to them to make sure the levels were good and nothing was wrong with the truck. Will definitely use them again!

A local Cedar Park shop diagnosed my truck s oil leak as a vacuum pump. They replaced it. Truck continued to have the oil leak (burning oil smell). Took my truck back to them. This time they said it was both of my valve covers.I decided to get a second opinion. I asked Jon (Cedar Park - AAMCO) to take a look at it. Jon was crazy busy. Multiple customers and handling non-stop phone calls. I left my truck with him (8:00am) and did not expect to hear back until much later in the day.I hear back in less than 2 hours. Jon tells me that my valve covers are fine (not leaking!), and that the new vacuum pump that was installed by the other shop is the source of the leak.So glad that I did not spend big money that I was quoted to have the valve covers replaced! Totally unscrupulous of the shop to suggest I replace perfectly good valve covers!Thank you Jon!

My SUV started running really bad. It kept dying on me and it was making a loud noise. I spoke with John before they close that day and had my SUV towed there. AAMCO performed a Vehicle Courtesy Check the next day, found the problem and was able to get me back on the road the same day they found the problem. Now my SUV is running smooth again. I am thankful and grateful to the manager John and all the AAMCO workers in Cedar Park, on S. Bell Blvd. They are friendly, have excellent customer service, and they get the job done as quickly as possible. Thanks again for all of your hard work.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I love that they always have $0 diagnostic. They were fast to order the part needed and have excellent service. If I had 1 recommendation it would be maybe putting temporary floor mat protectors just because they have a very gravelly drive and it was pretty rainy this week. Probably the best experience I ve had with an auto repair. Had a warranty issue and John really went to bat for me. We took my granddaughters dodge neon into aamco of Cedar park because it would not shift out 2nd gear, they were very prompt with a diagnosis. " The transmission is completely shot, I am surprised you were able to drive it." I started asking specifics as what had gone wrong," everything, the shift solenoids, the gear clusters, all bad." We where told it would cost $4000 For a new transmission. Thats about the value of the car so took the car and left. The issues that the shop manager,(John) told me about raised questions with me so I took her car to a small shop closer to were we live, BZR transmission in Kingsland, and left it with them to get a second opinion, 3 days later they called my granddaughter and told her the car was ready. A bad wiring harness on 1 of the speed sensors. $328.00

Every time I have been to this shop the service has been phenomenal. I do most repair work myself but I have found myself in situations a couple times the past 2 years where I needed work done by a professional and the Johns (there are like 4 guys named John here ) went above and beyond with getting the job done.This most recent time, I bought a used truck from Covert Hutto (do not recommend) which ended up needing an entire transmission replacement almost immediately after I bought it. I had a warranty so the dealership held onto the vehicle for 4 months "trying" to find parts.I ended up having the truck towed to the Johns at Aamco and they had the work done within days. They fought with the warranty company for me and made sure all of the issues with the transmission were resolved.Most shops and dealership service departments I've encountered will try and nickel and dime you for every little thing and take their sweet time doing it, but these guys are a different breed.Trustworthy shops that do quality work are hard to find, I DEFINITELY recommend this shop.

So I brought my F150 in here and spent $1,900 on a rear main seal replacement(which after shopping around discovered I paid more than what I should have per competion). Upon getting it back the leak was still present. I brought it back in with the understanding it would be covered under warranty. I was then told it was the oil pan gasket and while initially they were going to charge me, they ultimately agreed to replace it at no cost. Upon picking my truck up after having it there for two weaks due to one excuse after another(including people out with covid)I proceeded to open my hood the next morning and realized that they had left a funnel in my enginge block causing oil to splatter as the oil cap was obviously not put back. On top of that my battery cable was not tightened causing my battery light indicator to come on. Upon calling the shop they sent a tow truck to pick it up and after a number of hours told me everything checked out okay at which time I went and picked up my truck. Only to discover the next morning that I still have an oil leak. Needless to say if I could give a negative rating I absolutely would. Customer Beware!!!Matt

As a newly single mom, I felt completely overwhelmed when my 2002 Grand Jeep Cherokee began to experience mechanical issues. My check engine light could not seem to stay off no matter how many repairs it endured. I knew I could no longer afford another inspection cost. After much research, I discovered AAMCO offered FREE check engine light inspections! Immediately, I took my vehicle in for an inspection and was welcomed with kindness, compassion, and understanding. At first, I felt so unworthy of their kindness because of my own mess. Yet, it mattered to them and they wanted to help. It brought me reassurance to see, know, and hear there were good people in the world who did not just want money, but the opportunity to help someone in need. I was heard and cared for as a human being. At this point, I cannot imagine taking my vehicle anywhere else! So I encourage you, if you are struggling with feeling overwhelmed about car issues or feel like no car repair shop is listening to your needs, I would highly recommend this AAMCO location in Cedar Park location on Bell Avenue! John and the team at AAMCO Cedar Park quickly diagnosed and fixed a goof made by another shop that was causing a check engine light with trouble codes pointing at the transmission (original shop didn't want to look at the problem). AAMCO were very professional, fast, and HONEST. I highly recommend this shop and plan to use them for many of my automotive repair needs.

John at this AMCO center was straight forward and very knowledgeable. He only charged me for the work needed. A few other garages were going to charge 2 and 3 times the cost. The most honest shop I've been to in Cedar Park. Highly recommend! I now take my vehicle almost exclusively to AAMCO Cedar Park for assessing, recommendation, and repair work. I know they are efficient and honest.Adding to my first review a few years later. I have been a very happy customer of AAMCO for going on 3 years now. They continue to give me solid advice and complete assessments of any problems my vehicle may have (my truck will be 23 years old this summer so things are bound to happen). Even though we have a new 'John' at the Bell Rd location, the service continues to be the best, and their efficiency has not dropped one bit. All the guys there are great - especially John! It's always a little intimidating to go to mechanic shops of any sort as a woman, but John was very straight forward! Kept my car all day. At 530, they called to tell me that even after error codes had shown up, there was nothing they could do. I asked about at least changing the transmission fluid since it was super dark and needed to be done. They said why it wouldn't do anything and "could" make things worse. Took it to my mechanic. We changed it and added a paste. All problems are gone! So much for being specialists.

I called multiple times to get a quote on transmission repair work. Every time the gentleman was rushing to get off the phone. I never ounce received a return phone call. I would not use a company who cannot even do the basic business services correctly. Seems like the days of good customer service are done in almost all automobile repair shops. There is some out there that are great, and this is just another corporate failure chain store.
