My coworkers and I were in the area for work and decided to stop by. I will say this place is out there, but it s well worth the drive. We all had a steak and they were all delicious and juicy. The bread pudding was also top tier. The only downside was eating outside. It was pretty cool on that night we went. They do have heat lamps out there for you to enjoy. If you re ever in the area, give them a try and make a reservation.

This place is a gem. They are celebrating 40 years and have an outdoor gallery of photos to share the history. The outdoor space was beautiful. There is dining inside and outside. The grilled catfish and strip steak were both excellent, and the staff were very friendly and efficient. It's a little pricey, but great for a special occasion or to treat yourself.

The ranch, and atmosphere was great. They even had a fire going in the fireplace in the dinning area, and it was very cozy. However, givin all the hype, the fact that we had to make reservations, and the prices on the menue, I was expecting a stellar steak. Sadly I was disappointed. There wasn't much flavor, and the ribeye was just OK. I also found it strange that a steak didn't include a side. Just house salad, before the meal, and rolls. We had a strawberry shortcake dessert, which was pretty good. The staff was very friendly, and our waitress was great, but over all I thought it was over priced for what you get. Probably won't be back anytime soon.

Pirini Steakhouse has been on my want to visit list for 15 years. It has been rated as on of the 10 best Steakhouses in America. It was definitely deserved praise. The appetizer was quail legs. They were as good as the ones my mother made we ate as children. My salad was a chopped blue cheese salad tasty but nothing special it was very good. The steak? An bone in Ribeye steak, prime quality. Here is the real kicker. I ordered a medium steak it came out medium well upon the server asked us to cut it. Instantly they offer to cook another one. I refused and choose to eat the one I had. Why? Because I knew the quality of the beef and the overwhelming aroma of said steak with the excellent marbling of the slice of beef in front of me was going to be a subperb dinning experience. IT WAS!Also for dessert, a borbon bread pudding very good, but you can find legendary bourbon bread pudding in New Orleans, and jalapeo cheesecake. First time I had ever seen jalapeo cheesecake! It was completely worth ordering for its shear flavor uniqueness.Final verdict? The atmosphere was perfect for a truly West Texas Steakhouse. The remarkable politeness of the West Texas variety of Texans is naturally in the bone marrow of West Texas. Ir is always a treasured feature in visiting West Texas. I should know I am one of them. The food was simply excellent, well worth the road trip and overnight stay in Abilene a visit to a well stocked antique store an tomorrow for lunch the best beer cheddar soup I have ever ate. Put Pirinis steak house on your culinary to do list. Just don't take 15 years to do it!

My family and I decided to go try out Perini s steakhouse since it s an Abilene favorite and everyone loves it!On this day we reserved a table as it was pretty quiet. It s pretty much in the middle of nowhere but definitely worth the small drive. Steak was cooked perfect, quail was a nice appetizer to see on the menu. Service was Impecable. I never once ran out of Diet Coke. Grandbaby loved her grilled cheese! Atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. It was a bit toasty as they had the fireplace on.For 3 people our bill was $200. Scenery was amazing and it really did feel very homey. After our meal we enjoyed their onsite outdoor gallery and even chalked up some art of our own. Overall, the steak flavors were phenomenal, but potatoes and zucchini needed more salt. I wasn t really impressed with the Zucchini. Quail legs were good but very small. Rolls were dry but Jalapeo cheesecake was Amazing and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Very historic#WestTexas #steakhouse #bestInwest #foodKid-friendliness: Chalk outside on the concrete patio.

Been there 3 times celebrating anniversary and once because the food is so delicious. The staff is very pleasant and attentive to us. I love the country atmosphere and the cleanliness of the converted barn. Outdoor dining is available and is comfortable depending on the weather. I recommend making a reservation especially if you want to dine indoors.

The food was great. The service was great. The ambiance was great. As first-time goers and as a large family, we wish we would have known about the outdoor space available because it was a beautiful day.

Have been going to Perinis for many many years. I've never had a bad experience. Nan and her staff has always been wonderful and the food is incredible. And I praise this place across the country. I work in television so I travel all over the country. As a traveling TV crew, we live in hotels and eat in restaurants all across the country. And in those discussions of where do you eat? I always recommend Perinis and always will. Can't wait to eat there again. By the way that sunday brunch should come without a warning it's fabulous

First time to visit. I took my wife for a dreary, rainy day lunch date. We enjoyed the warming fire in the fireplace as well as the atmosphere. The steak was very good, and my wife enjoyed the grilled fish. And while the food was very good, I'm kind of taken aback that a $45 steak doesn't come with sides like a baked potato or veggies or anything. Good food but lacks value.

Okay We have always loved eating there! This time not so much. We went for the fried fish. My husband and son chose the fish buffet. Had to wait for the the waitress to bring them a plate before they could go to the buffet. Then when they went for seconds they were told 1 plateful. You did not let you serve yourself. My daughter in law and I got the regular fish plate. Too spicy! The best thing of the meal was the bread pudding! We will continue to go there for steak, that is always great!

If you are in Ab-ah-leen. You have GOT to make the trek to this place. Not only is it a cool Texas place to visit. It's famous and freaking good.Skip the salads. Trust me. Go for the meat. That's what they do and they do it extremely good. When you do go, you'll want to thank me. And no thanks needed. You're welcome.

I always enjoy a trip to Perini s. Such a cool atmosphere and vibe. I ordered the ribeye and found it to be a bit overcooked and dry. Seeing others in my party s steaks, I think I just got a bad draw. Theirs looked perfect. I Ordered medium and it was medium well. My side of cowboy potatoes was good. My mom ordered the rib plate and it looked really good. I didn t try the ribs but, my 80yr old mom had no problem eating them they were that tender.

We would have liked to have personally wished the owners, Tom & Lisa, a happy 40th anniversary, unfortunately they weren't there. The service and the boss of the day were wonderful, a good red wine with the steak. So everything perfect. Now we are standing with our RV in the parking lot in front of the restaurant. The long journey was worth it. Tomorrow we continue...

What's not to love here? Everything was absolutely perfect for our dinner. The food was amazing. The waitstaff is friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and efficient. The ambiance was great. We ate outside and were all comfortable even though the weather was chilly. They have a great fire pit. Ample parking. I highly reccomend Perini Ranch.Dietary restrictions: The waitstaff and kitchen are mindful of dietary requests.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide doorways and no stairs.

Excellent service. My husband got a filet, and it was overcooked a bit. They asked if we wanted another, and because we are trying to be less wasteful, he decided to keep it. The flavor was so good (I tried a piece) that the doneness did not matter to him at all.I ordered a Cesar salad because I was sold on the vinaigrette when our server was explaining it to us. I added both chicken and the lightly dusted shrimp. Gotta say, everything was perfect. The dressing of the salad was light, flavorful, and not too bite-y. The chicken was so tender. It was some of the best chicken i've ever had. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the breading was as described on the menu; "lightly dusted," so not too much breading. We ended our meal with the bread pudding, and it was, like everything else, perfectly done.

Nice time, service was great food was good. We ordered bone in ribeye to share and boneless one was given. They noticed the mistake but we would have eaten it but it was over cooked. So they made us a new one. Second one was good but arrived after others had eaten. Overall very good but for the price I wanted to say wow but only managed very good

I m from South Louisiana and was up here around Sweetwater for work. My wife and wanted to try this place and we were not disappointed at all. Our fillets were cooked to perfection and the rest of the food was just as great as the staff. Absolutely love this place and we will definitely be back if I ever work that area again! Even bought some of their seasoning! My wife says it was even better than Ruth s Chris

This is by far the best steakhouse I have ever been to. Maybe a little crazy going to a steak house and ordering a burger but it was the most amazing thing I have ever had. We had a 5pm reservation and the place was already full and bustling with energy the moment we walked in. We had a short wait on the back patio which was absolutely beautiful. Several picnic table areas outside. It's hot in Texas in June but it was shady and not bad at all. We were seated in the main dining area and had a very attentive waitress. Everything was delicious and worth every penny!

We drove 30 minutes from Abilene to Buffalo Gap and tried the infamous Perini Ranch Steak. Spoiler alert! - It was amazing. Perini's prices are high but worth it. We had quail (around $15) as an appetizer. Both our stakes were delicious and cooked to perfection ($98 for both). The meat was fresh, and our waiter did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend Perini to friends and family.

The food is NOT 5 star taste. Our steak was charred on the outside that ruined the steak flavor. The potato chips had no seasoning/flavor to it. Our red potatoes was not cut in reasonably size to be able to savour the garlicy butter flavor. Their burger and grilled cheese was good enough but not for the price we paid. Its not worth splurge on their food where as we would get savory tasteful elsewhere for much less price. So disappointed. The workers were sooo friendly.

We had an amazing time dining outdoors in nature. The smells of mesquite filled the air as well as local sounds and music. The cocktails were good, the sides phenomenal, and the steaks...not sure I've got the words. The staff were very inviting and made our time spent more than enjoyable!

Our table had a really nice view. Parking was plentiful. Got the quail legs appetizer, was delicious. The strawberry shortcake was recommended by the server, but I didn't love it. We also got the bread pudding to go and that was delish. The cowboy potatoes and asparagus were on point! Almost tempted to get a vegi plate when coming back. The ranch is delishious, they should sell it in larger quantities! In my opinion the prices are a little steeper than they need to be, but if you want it you'll pay for it. I didn't care for the ribs, only because with the rub I felt the sauce was needed and I prefer no sauce. But they were cooked amazingly, super tender and juicy. The service was great! She kept our drinks filled, table bussed, and had a great attitude. If I had to pick one pet peeve, if you ask me if I want something, tell me if it's going to cost me. I don't like surprises on my bill. Will definetly be back whenever we visit the flea market.

Had the strip. It was a bit dry. Got there around noon and was told the prime rib wouldn't be ready till 5. Reservations were at least a month out. Prices were ridiculously insane. Definitely once in a lifetime visit. Unless there's a secret menu, this is definitely not the place for common folk (probably explains the stares from people). There are better places to eat in Buffalo Gap.

This place lived up to the hype. the service was amazing, we were in and out in an hour...The jalapeo bites were amazing. My prime rib was cooked, and seasoned perfectly. The cowboy potatoes were tender, but not mush, and full of flavor. My wife's dusted shrimp were coated beautifully, not too crunchy and not too soggy, perfectly. The shrimp is hands down the best fried shrimp I've ever had the seasoning and batter couldn't be better(I tried some of my wife's) we also had the strawberry shortcake, and it was heavenly the warm Strawberries with the sugar biscuit and heavy cream were a match made in heaven not overly sweet if you're looking for a super sweet dessert go for something else...but this shortcake will take you back in time and you won't want to come back!

Perini is a Ranch that offers lodging and delicious meat. The dining room looks like a barn it is surrounded by trees and land . It has A/C and farm settings! We were visiting Abilene, Texas, and Perini was only 25 minutes from downtown. The staff is super friendly they talked to us and treat us well. The food was outstanding. We got bone in strip , Ribeye and quail legs. The steak was as we ordered and so juice. To resume how our steaks were, there is a simple word: "just perfect." It was the first time we had quail legs, and they taste like chicken. The crust was well seasoned, and it added a lot of good flavors to the quail legs. This ranch raise their own cows, and the food is approved by the FDA. Finally , we got the most popular dessert, which it was perini's bread pudding. I would definitely I will eat it again; it was so delicious and unique.

I drove 3.5 hours to meet my cousin at Perini s! I have been a fan for 20 years & was excited for my cousin s 1st visit! It was absolutely amazing as always! The food was exceptional, the staff friendly as always, and the rustic country atmosphere is so inviting! Can t wait to take some friends of ours next month for another memorable experience! I m praying for a chill in the air so the fireplaces will be lit with mesquite firewood that makes the dining experience a delight! The Jalapeo Cheesecake is an absolute must! I do love Perini s!

We came on a Sunday when they opened. We were lucky since we did not have a reservation. Highly recommend you make a reservation. It's out of the way, but make plans before visiting. We both had Ribeyes for lunch. But they do offer a buffet on Sunday lunch. Also the lunch menu is good thru 5pm.The food and service was first class. Do yourself a favor and visit. Well worth the drive. Steaks are perfect. Sides are good. We didn't have room for dessert.
