Gilbert is great. Gives you a clear picture of what you need and does not oversell. I can trust what he says and his work is top notch. Cannot recommend him enough. If you have a Subaru...do not go anywhere else for service.

Gilbert was super friendly and explained everything thoroughly. I wanted to get a second opinion on my car and have someone do a diagnostic on it since I bought a used vehicle from car max and my a/c went out. He even opened the trunk of my Subaru and let me know what was wrong with it, and how to fix it. That s the first time a mechanic has ever explained anything that s made sense to me! I definitely recommend Gilbert if you need someone you can trust, who has reasonable prices!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Hands down the greatest Subaru mechanic in Austin area. Gilbert is very thorough. Even when I brought car back in due to new leak, Gilbert went above and beyond to make sure I am happy. Good Start.Like most of you, I have an older Subaru I'm trying to keep nice. After losing my local guru, heard about Gilbert's shop. My FXT needed a new cruise control paddle switch in the steering wheel; Gilbert's estimate was reasonable, so we ordered the part in. Quick turnaround, clean work, and on my request, Gilbert suggested several items to watch over the next few months.One caution; true to its name, Gilbert does not keep regular hours, so call ahead!

Gilbert has worked on our multiple Subarus' over the years and I wouldn't have anyone else touch them. He is willing to explain the problem and show me the fix. He is trustworthy and honest - definitely worth the drive from Austin. If you have a Subaru and want it repaired correctly, it should go to Gilbert!

Gilbert is an amazing mechanic. My 2007 WRX runs great now after I had taken it to him for some exhaust repairs. He also did a once over to check the car before I had it inspected. If you have a subaru do not hesitate on bringing to Moonlight Automotive.

Gil is straightforward, honest and experienced. He has kept my older Subaru running smoothly for years. There is no upselling--he only recommends the work that actually needs to be done and his prices are more than fair. If you have a Subaru I wouldn't take it anywhere else.

Ever feel good about giving a mechanic money after an expensive job? Me either, that is until I took my car to Gilbert. He gave me a fair assessment on what needed done and what didn't need done. I had get some expensive work done after my head gasket started leaking, along with other neglected items. Gilbert had all the work done in a week and gives a 12 month warrantee with his work. $3,500 later, my Subaru was like brand new! Well worth the money!

I've been taking our Subarus to Gilbert for almost 20 years, since I was first referred to him by a friend. He is qualified, dead honest, and down to earth. Never tries to upsell more than what is needed. It's not always convenient taking a dar to Buda, but he is worth it!

I wonder how many of you also wasted your time calling to find out he only works on Subaru. Put it on the website or something so people don't waste their time.

This one man owned and operated car repair shop is the only place I take my Subaru to be worked on. Gilbert is honest, reasonable in price and situated at a fairly convenient location in Buda Texas. He is a Subaru specialist.

I tried to call Gilbert twice about my Subaru that had broken down and both times after starting to explain my situation to him he told me to call back in 10 minutes because he was busy. Pretty poor way to earn a customer.

Take my wrx to Gilbert for maintanence because I don t trust anyone else to do it right and he s got many years of experience and knowledge to back that up. Does quality work and fills my windshield wiper fluid and tires as a courtesy, super cool guy and wouldn t take my car to anyone else.

I was turned on to Gilbert 4 years ago. He's done remarkable work on my 92 Loyale, almost an antique. He's up front, down to earth, and honest to boot. I'm in Cedar Park and he is in Buda. That's how far I'd go and do go.Terry
