Good Carma was amazing in getting our car up and running again. They explained all the issues, options, pricing, etc. very well. They were informative and polite but not pushy. They even connected us with other businesses that could help with other issues (copying car key, etc.). We will absolutely be taking any of our vehicles there!

I can t recommend this place enough. I had my vehicle towed to a certain place across town with transmission and alignment issues, I thought the quote they gave me was a bit high so decided to get a second opinion. And I m glad I did.I paid for the vehicle to be towed to Good Carma and their price was a little less than half of that shop across town. They under promise and over deliver.Services: Transmission, Wheel alignment, Transmission repair

I was just passing thru town when my Chevy truck broke down. I found these guys on google maps. I was going to leave it with them, but they were able to find the parts and get them delivered that afternoon. Pretty sure they worked on it that night and were able to get me back on my way the next morning. They went above and beyond, even giving me a ride to my hotel. Nice shop, nice waiting room, nice office, and nice guys.

I sold my motorcycle to Brian. He was so excited about seeing it that it made me feel happy to see that it was going to a loving home. He actually gave me more money than I was asking for because he said he wanted to give me what the motorcycle was worth.... Blew my mind! Awesome guy!!!I totally recommend anyone thinking of doing business with Brian and with Good Carma to go for it!

Nothing but positive things to say about this shop. They were personally recommended to us by a "car guy" as an honest shop that does good work. The recommendation was accurate. A recent substantial repair on an older car came in significantly under their estimate which we had agreed to (how often does that happen?!).

I am a single senior woman and am happy to say that I found a garage that did not take advantage of my cluelessness when it comes to car mechanics. I brought my 2018 Honda Civic in to them for its 30,000 mile service and also to check the AC that hadn t been working properly. They serviced what was necessary for the car without performing unneeded extras and charged a very reasonable price. They then quoted a price for the AC repair but recommended I check with a Honda dealer first in case there were any warranties or recalls. Consequently, I was able to get a better quote from Honda for the repair.I am so impressed and appreciative for the time Good Carma took to explain everything to me, not to mention that they sacrificed the money they could have made on this repair. You can be sure I will be going to them for service in the future. Excellent business ethics = good karma.Jane HallowellService: General repairs & maintenance

I have been using this shop for over 6 years and they are the only place I trust with my car. I know they will always be open and honest with me about the repairs I need, and helpful in saving money when possible. Every repair has been done with the utmost care and professional standard. I recommend this place to all of my friends and family when they have car needs. I live in north Austin, and having a mechanic I can trust is always worth the drive to Buda for me.

I take my truck to Good Carma for everything--oil changes, weird rattles, routine maintenance--and they've always given me honest assessments, competitive pricing, and a quick turnaround. Plus, the shop dog is awesome.

I'm not typically into writing reviews but felt it necessary after the excellent service I received. Brian and his team at Good Carma Automotive truly understand the value of repeat and word of mouth business. Each and every experience I've had here has been fast, knowledgeable, honest, and consistent.Thank you!

I had a great experience taking my car to Good Carma Automotive. The owner was patient, attentive, graciously accommodating, fair, and efficient. My car had taken a beating when it got hit by a drunk driver recently, and it precipitated an alarming amount of mechanical failures in the front suspension and brakes. For the number of things that needed fixing, and the seriousness of some of the issues, I was impressed how fast this guy got the job done and how fair his price was. My car is driving a hundred percent better! Hopefully I don't need a mechanic again in the near future, but if I do I'll definitely be back. I would recommend this automotive shop to a friend or family member.

I was referred to Good Carma by a friend. Unless absolutely necessary, I will never take my car anywhere else for service. They are honest, fair, and reasonable. On several occasions, I have taken my car to a service center or dealership to get an estimate on work that I needed done. I always felt like the estimate was way overpriced. In addition, every time I went in for an estimate for a specific problem, they always came up with one or more things that needed to be fixed. Sure enough, when I went to Good Carma for a "second opinion", their estimate was always less expensive. Also, when I mentioned the "problems" that other facilities told me needed to be fixed, they checked them out and were completely honest with me about what really did need fixing and what did not. In fact, I'm going in there today to get a rear taillight assembly replaced because their quote for both parts and labor was far less expensive than other places I went to.

My go to place for all automotive needs. I have a new vehicle and two older ones. Oil changes, minor mechanical issues, major mechanical issues all resolved here with complete satisfaction. They are very reasonably priced and quick in their service. Great folks work here. Highly recommended.

Found this place in a pinch when I really needed new brakes. Brian was super honest, great at communication and friendly. They had my car in and out in no time without me having to pay an arm and a leg. They live up to their name and I would recommend this place to any and everyone looking for an automotive shop!

I used to work as a mechanic but with a new career and no time I had to find an honest and fair mechanic to send our family vehicles to. I have sent our cars to Brian at Good Carma multiple times and I'm always impressed with his honesty and pricing.

This is my first and only review, and I wanted to say thank you to Good Carma, specifically Brian. He towed my car, from a close neighborhood, and kept prices honest. Thank you for going above and beyond, to help me out. I will definitely refer anyone around me, needing a car service!

I've never had a better experience at an auto shop. Brian is great. I had a tricky issue with my evap system causing the 'check engine' light to come on that I had been trying to get sorted out for over a year. He was able to spot the problems and get them fixed. Ended up costing me a fraction of what I was expecting. I will definitely be back for any future auto work I need done.

I went to Brian's new shop in Buda just north of downtown this week for an oil change. The new shop is awesome!! MUCH bigger, larger office space and waiting room. And the big plus is that customers will not be cold or hot weather while waiting. Plus there is a play area for young children. Oh yeah...the oil change was great also!

We generally work on our own cars yet when we couldn't figure out why our 2001 Nissan Xterra kept overheating after changing the obvious components(thermostat..etc) we took it to Good Carma upon a good friends recommendation. Writing this two months later the car runs like a dream. We drive around Texas a lot so after going to Dallas, San Antonio and sitting in Mopac traffic/98 heat there were no problems, A/C ran cold. Looking under the hood after parts were replaced we could see they handled our engine with the most care. Thanks Brian and your awesome mechanics!

Always happy with the service here. They'll fix what's wrong and give you recommendations for where to go if it's something beyond their expertise. Fair and honest quotes with excellent customer service made this my go-to automotive place.

I have taken my car to them several times. They are very good at communicating issues and repair progress. They have been spot on with diagnosis and are fairly priced. These are mechanics I trust.

Cautionary Note To Honda Owners:At least one of the mechanics who worked on my 2008 Honda Fit on 12/27 did not have enough knowledge of Hondas to (1) know to change the crush washer on each oil change and (2) know that in order to replace the studs on the tire wheel, almost all if not all parts had to come off.The intake lady was very approachable and open to communication. She immediately asked the guy who'd done the oil change to replace the crush washer. I'm not sure that he did so due in part to his reaction and due to what happened to a part that seems to have suffered damage and then become noisy two days later. The guy who'd changed the oil without the crush washer also banged away at the front wheel needing new studs until he saw that he would have to take out the whole front wheel unit. He showed frustration. It was cold outside (and in the waiting room). Two days later, 12/29, after driving 4+ hours out of town, I heard a loud rattling noise from the front tire. When I took it in on 12/30 to the first of two shops, I was told that a piece that looked like a dirt guard was bent and cut as if by an object used to try to pry it out. The first shop closed early on Saturday 12/30, and so I took it to a second shop. That shop reported that 2 screws on one of the parts was missing and sent one of their men to a nearby shop to find similar-sized screws. Neither shop charged me for labor, and the second part didn't charge for the screws. The end result is that I paid Good Carma Automotive for an oil change that might damage my car in the long run due to a washer that might not have been replaced, and I also paid high labor costs to have studs replaced on a Honda when that lengthy-pricey labor might have damaged parts on the front wheel. (And all while waiting in frigid temperatures for 3.5 hours!)I'll email the shop again so that they know that at least one of their mechanics does not have sufficient knowledge to work on Hondas. I emailed them the day of service, 12/27, about oil changes on Hondas and got no reply.Another option for the mechanics at this shop is to do a quick internet search before doing a job on a Honda. Here's one of many pieces of advice I found on a quick search, and I'm sure mechanics with their knowledge of car parts and such could run much better searches than I:"you cant just pound it out and replace like the GDs... theres a metal part of the hub that prevents the whole stud from coming out... the only way to replace the fronts is to press out the hub, take it out, then press it back in"and"As a Honda owner, the crush washer you should be most concerned with is the one that must be replaced every time you change your motor oil. This crush washer fits between your oil pan and the drain plug. It is a one-time-use washer. Discard the old washer at each oil change and replace with a new one. If you have your oil changed at any service outlet other than a Honda dealer, remind them of the importance to use a new crush washer."When a new washer is installed and the drain plug is tightened, this washer 'crushes' to form a very tight seal, thereby preventing motor oil leaks without overstressing the oil pan threads.Oil changers who are not aware of its importance may think it's OK to re-use this washer. Since it has already been crushed, it will not collapse further. As a result, the installer may overtighten the drain plug to get a tight fit. This can eventually lead to stripped threads in the oil pan -- a very expensive repair."
