My car wasn t starting and I figured I d have to get my battery replaced. A technician named Gary came to jump start it and realized that one of the screws to the battery was loose. He explained that it could be the reason why my car wouldn t start. He was able to tighten it and my car worked perfectly after. Very kind man and saved me a lot of money!!

Called AAA to get a jump for my car and Gary from Phil Thweatt came out to help. He arrived 20 minutes before the estimated time AAA gave me and was very nice and helpful.

Super helpful and quick!! They dispatched a truck within 30 minutes, but when they arrived, they realized we needed a flatbed. They scheduled that for us while we were still all together, and then my wife and I grabbed some food near by while we waited for the flatbed. We were quoted at least two hours to wait, but it was only about an hour. Everyone was SO kind and helpful. We will definitely use them again should the need arise.Service: Car towing

This place deserves 0 stars. Called them to change a tire through AAA and waited multiple hours for them to show up. Not only did they never show up but they also don t answer their phone- it goes straight to voicemail after someone manually hangs it up. At least have the decency to update your customer and let them know that you re not going to show. After seeing reviews with people having similar experiences, I can safely say that I would never recommend this place to anybody. What a waste of time.Service: Car towing

Requested a towing service through AAA and the technician never showed up nor picked up the phone. ETA was 9:38pm and I waited until 10:30pm and just nothing. Extremely frustrating experience. Avoid this place for your own good please.

How can you put negative stars? Their phone goes straight to voicemail, don t show up even after the eta they said and don t ever update after they received the request. AAA sucks and so does this place. Google asked did you use this business? Obviously I did not because they don t show up or answer!!! THANKS FOR NOTHING

My transmission went out on Hwy 6 @ OSR (6:09p). AAA dispatched Phil Tweatt for a flatbed tow. I received a text that the driver would be there around 6:39p. Never showed up nor called. I received a second text that the driver will be there around 7:43; still, no call no show. I ended up calling USAA & they had a towing service out of Navasota to me in 35mins. I had a long conversation with AAA first thing this morning. I ve never had any issues with AAA. If I ever need to use AAA again and Phil Thweat is the recommended service: I will greatly ask for a different wrecker service.

6:55pm on a 45 degree night in College Station. Just finished at work and my mother calls. She's at my workplace to pick me up for a weekend trip to Houston, but Life said F- You! and her tire POPPED in the parking lot. We call Triple A, but every tire place is closed so their best offer was a tow to my nearby apartment, then another tow to a shop in the morning. Unreal. I try not to think about how I'm gonna miss all the apartment tour appointments I had the next day and end up living in a cardboard box. The tow guy calls us and its Bobby Vance of Phil Thweatt Wrecker Service. This man did THE MOST. He was like skinny Santa Claus. He was so kind and towed us ALL THE WAY TO HOUSTON. Forever thankful to you Bobby, bless!Services: Car towing, Long distance hauling

A few weeks back, AAA sent this company for towing due to a battery repair problem that occurred when an employee atAutozone tried to change out a battery. Bobby Vance went above & beyond to fix the problem and towing was not required. Thank you so much Bobby! Would highly recommend.Service: BatteryService: Battery

I was locked out of my car after leaving my keys in my trunk and Joseph responded in a timely manner. He was very kind and helpful! He went out of his way to look up how to get into my trunk from the inside. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. Great service!

Your website says 24 hour roadside assistance but your manager made my wife call his techs until one showed up who had to be practically begged to get out of his house to come change a tire. Then, he wasn t able to get the job done without her help. He even said that it wasn t his job, that you re just a towing service. Avoid this service even if they re the only ones available.

I have used their services two times - one to tow my car to get it to a repair shop and the other to help me with a flat tire. Both were great experiences! The technicians were nice and helpful and the price was reasonable. I will always call them first from now on!

I unfortunately don't have the gentleman's name, but he helped me out back-to-back nights and was very nice and courteous. I just wanted to say thank you for great service. I greatly appreciate it.

We got really great service first from Mark then from Clint. They were both very friendly and helpful. Clint was actually able to get our car started so we didn't need the tow. He knows a lot about cars, sure saved us a lot of time and money!

This company was dispatched by AAA for a flat tire on our travel trailer and instead of declining the service, they sent a service tech 45 minutes later in an HHR (that's right...a car) to tell us they did not service RV's. The vehicle was correctly noted by AAA as a travel trailer and we have coverage for that as part of our plan. The next available provider was 2 hours away and we had to handle on our own as we could not wait. Thweatt claimed to AAA that they sent a flat bed wrecker (lie!) and told me they were required to send someone even though they had no intention of providing the service. In speaking with another AAA provider, we fully believe this is yet another lie and was only a means to to get paid by AAA for the call without providing the service.Beware! The only means the tech had to air up a tire was with an air compressor connected to a cigarette lighter. What a JOKE! That guy couldn't have aired up our truck tire with that! The 16" tire simply needed air and my husband resolved in 10 minutes with an electric powered air compressor. This operation appears to have subpar equipment and questionable ethics. Would not recommend!

Today while visiting someone in the nursing home I encountered one of their drivers in the parking lot. I was in my car talking with a doctors office when one of their drivers pulled up beside me. I was concentrating on my call and did not notice it was a tow truck driver. I did see the driver pull in and back up and pull in several times. Again I was not concentrating on what he was doing , rather I was talking with the doctors office. As I got off my call he had parked and had gotten out. I heard him saying something loudly. When I looked back I realized it was a tow truck and he was getting the car in the row behind us. I got out and asked, "Do you need me to move?". He responded, " it's too late now." I apologized and said I did not realize he was needing me to move. The driver became extremely disrespectful and asked if I really thought he was trying to park his tow truck. I told him I had been on the phone and had not realize it was a tow truck. I said all he had to do was knock on my window and I would have moved. He shot back that he shouldn't of had to ask because I should've known but I was too busy on my phone and not paying attention. At this point I told him that I was parked in a space on my phone and it wasn't like I was driving around and not paying attention while on the phone. He then said some people are trying to actually fork. Needless to say he was extremely disrespectful and a very poor representation of this company.

Like most wrecker services, Phil Thweatt is a rip-off artist. Cost to tow car from accident site late Friday to their yard paid by AAA. Cost on Monday morning to drop off at auto body shop was $394. $20/day storage x 2 days, $150 towing, $50 "notification fee", $20 impound fee $85 extra charge written so cannot be read at bottom of receipt.
