Wonderful service and pricing! After a week of vacation we noted one of our tires was leaking air due to a screw. We had over 12 hours of road travel. I called Pep Boys who were eager to help us ensure a safe trip home. We arrived in the morning and after a short intake of information, we were advised of close by places to have breakfast. My husband received text updates on the progress. Within an hour, our vehicle was repaired and we were on the road home! Thank you! I highly recommend this location.

I highly recommend this place. I called about the AC of Kia Sorento, they said come by and we check for you. They did in les than 15 min. Work needs to be done and after one hour, the car was done with the services recommended. Alfred was very knowledgeable, and help with explanation. I will definitely come back. Because there are other things to be done, and now I know pep boys can handled.

Avis Car Rental (with the stellar Miss Connie) has a contract here, and when I lost tire pressure on the right passenger side, they sent me here. Raul, a young man who appears to love working with cars & working with people, provided me with accurate assessments for the task & time, and appeared genuinely interested in providing top customer service. My Dad, rest his soul, always used to bring his cars here; now I know why.

Horrible lackadaisical work. I just had my vehicle repaired at this location. They are slow on communication with their clients. Repairs not performed properly. Quite literally scared for my safety as I drive to another repair facility because of issues after pick up. AC blasting upon acceleration. Hill assist off, took >3 secs to start engine after pick up, 3,000 RPMs in park, pretty sure vacuum leak of some kind. I will make it my life mission to never return to this location for the rest of my being. DONT GO HERE.

I really can't judge on their quality of work because I sat for over 2hrs waiting for my truck to be looked at to begin with. I was wanting my A/C to be looked at and was told that the technician was on lunch. After an hour of waiting went to go see how much longer and supposedly my truck was next. Another hour went by and I just gave up waiting. I have been out in this heat working and can't even get in my own vehicle to cool off. I checked in about 4:30 and left at 7. That is unacceptable. I am not from Brownsville, I live in East Texas area and I'm sure the Pep Boys in Tyler, TX would have gotten me in and out within two hours. So if there is ANYONE that can recommend a good reputable mechanic that will not gouge me and get me in and out, because I have no other way around and basically Saturday 7/23/2022 is the only day I have available to bring it in. I will be grateful.

Called management to follow up on poor repairs & they seemed like they could care less. I even heard the assistant manager (whom I was speaking to) laugh at me over the phone. Can corporate see this & reach out to me? This location is a joke.

Took my car to get a diagnostic, and they said it was my transmission after they checked my shocks. And that it ll cost $5,000 to fix. So I took it to two local mechanic that works on transmission and said it s the shocks. Got them replaced for $480 and the car works fine. Don t come here, just go to a local mechanic for better and cheaper help

Pep Boys always knows how to take care of business. Evert time I show up, they know how to service my vehicle quickly and efficiently. Ra�l Ledezma ensured my inspection fell in the right hands, and I was out in a jiffy. Mr. Ledezma was very polite and helpful to me. I enjoy my visits at Pep Boys, and I make sure to recommend Pep Boys.

Great job, explained car inspection. Free brake and car inspection. Very professional. Suggested car improvements. Waiting area can use some work. Could feel the difference after completion of work. Car handling great. Will be back with my other vehicles to have service performed at Pep Boys. Appreciated the Veteran discount. Thank you for your service.

Sept 14,2023I stopped at Pep Boys located at 2336 Boca ChicaBlvd,in Brownsville, Texas.I requested an oil change for my 2019 Toyoyta,Tacoma.The assistant manager identified as Xiomara processed my request.Upon completion of vehicle inspection.I was informed that the Belt tension AssemblyPostTTEnDer ,Ser Belt Poly Rib Tender needed to bebe replaced due to wear tear.I requested a quote for the total and Mrs XiomaraQuoted a price of $500.00 plus tax.Upon completion of the repairs she proceeded toProcess the transaction.Total Bill came out to $683.00.13.I review my bill and I discovered that Mrs Xiomaratook upon herself to include warranty without my consent under ticket# 2298545The assistant manager Xiomara further failed toInclude my 20% Discount of my Oil change Pep Boy coupon.I was extremely upset and questioned why she included warranty Without my Consent and failed to include my 20% coupon.Mrs Xiomara replied I always was get warranty on my repairs and smiled.I informed her that was out right theft and unethical.It just concerns me how many poor citizens of Cameron County she has stolen from.This stores lacks being transparent and act in good faith to their customers.I requested that said charges be removed because they were not authorized by me.The store manager became frustrated and nervous it actually took her thirty minutes to modify thebill with the correct charges.The bill was processed under ticket# 2298545 store number#0766Citizens of Brownsville hope you learn from the review.Totally unethical behavior and Simply Theft by this manager.$258.24 over charged intentionally by this unethicalAssistant manager.I have been a loyal customer at this store for the past 15 years.This is the first time I've had a terrible unpleasant experience at this location.I will no longer patronized this location.Customers jus be aware of this unethical practices.

I do not recommend this place! The employee in the front register is very RUDE! He ignored me when i was talking to him (he knows who he is). He was on his cell phone and ignored me then just walked away like i wasn't there. So i left. I'm Calling corporate to report him. Just stay away from this place. Poor customer service. I rate it a ZERO!

Good and fair shop. I unfortunately had to spend the night in my RV out in their parking lot after being towed in at midnight. Store opened on time and Dave greeted me with a smile asking How can I help you? . Showed him my flat tire and then Pedro took over. He had me back on the road in less than a hour and I was only $25 lighter (minus tip). This is a good shop!! Don t hesitate to stop in this place. Thanks again Pedro

My AC wasn't working so I took it to Pep Boys. This isn't my 1st time taking my car there. These 2 times I've gone, the service was EXCELLENT! They thoroughly check every single thing to pint point the problem and if they fund some things that need to be fixed or replaced, they let you know and give you a break down of the price. They are so professional and always have an awesome attitude. I'm going to keep going for all my car needs.

By far the best auto service I ve ever had. From getting my car towed to picking up my keys, every worker that helped along the way was incredibly nice and patient. I usually have my dad help me with car problems, so after moving a long way from home I thought I was out of luck. I made the mistake of taking my car to another auto center first that wanted to charge me for anything they could. After calling Junior at pep boys I got my car away from that place and towed to him and knew I was in great hands right away and not being taken advantage of. In fact, JR and Raul were so great and trustworthy that I approved an extra part to be fixed that they recommended. My car is 13 years old but they got it working good as new in only a day or two. I ll be coming back to them with any future car issues. Thank you guys!

Terrible service, went in to get my breaks changed and they ended up changing the rear breaks (which were good) and left the bad there saying they were inspected and are good as soon as I left the breaks had even of a worse noise I payed $660 for them to not do anything worth that price. one does a sacrifice to be able to fix their car for them to come and screw you over.

I went for an oil change and more needed to be done. Thank God David advised me of 2 studs on a tire that were broken and could be dangerous as well as our battery was no good. It was fixed & feel grateful for their guidance and a discount that was given to .

Brought my vehicle in at 1030am on Thursday, they took all day to do the assessment and didn't communicate the situation at all after I waited for 2 hours then advised I'd leave my vehicle to pick up later prior to closing...8 hours later. Called the following day at 10am, told my vehicle's mechanic is now working on another vehicle and mine still isn't finished and won't be until this other vehicleis completed, forcing me to miss another day at work due to their ineptitude. Avoid this place at all costs. They source parts from other locations, increase the costs and pass them on to the customer. And their labor cost per hour is at or above typical dealer cost, again passed on to the customer. I've never seen a more questionable operation than this place when it comes to vehicle's and repairs. Save your time, your money, and your sanity.

After $2500. of repairs you would think car runs better. No. Had numerous concerns and had car in shop to get them repaired. (Battery & posts, brakes, tires, radiator fans) had to go back because car was still overheating and battery kept stalling. Posts were just "tightened". We were already doing that! But they never bothered to replace. Staff think your concerns are humorous or a joke. Went back last week in December and rotated tires; least they can do since we were charged Road Hazard. The report shows the battery tested low. Really? On the battery that was reached in April 2022? Duh. The service tasks never included those posts to be replaced and it had obvious green battery corrosion which "I" cleaned at home. Now tell me if this is not a joke.

Very Satisfied with the overall experience. This was the first time I've been there. The employee at the register Junior, greeted everyone with a smile . Very welcoming ! I was intrigued by his customer service skills. He took good care of each and every customer that walked through the door. There was at least 5 of us customer's there and he multitasked and provided great service ! Impressive it's hard to find great working employees these days ! Totally recommend this place! Great job Sir !!!
