Mr. Ritchie's shop is where my family and I have taken all of our vehicles over the last 25+ years. He is a man of integrity... charging a fair price for parts and labor. Fast service and I've never had to fix the same issue twice!! Thanks to Walker and Gloria for always being helpful and friendly on the phone! I appreciate all you guys, and thanks for being the best in town !!

I rarely write reviews. But, these guys are great! I ve used them twice in the last 6 months and both jobs cost far less than I expected. Also, asked them to look at my brakes to see if they needed to be replaced. They did, said they were fine, no worries! Most people would have said they need to be replaced. This to me was a true test of their honesty! Can t recommend them highly enough!

We have taken our vehicles in to Ritchie s for several different repairs. Each time the bill is the same as the initial quote or it was less. Gotta love that! We ve been to other repair shops and when they gave us an estimate the final bill was usually more. Not at Ritchie s. This is our go to shop for all our automotive needs!

This is the best shop I have been to in years. They do honest work and don't try and tell you your car needs things it does not need. I will continue to bring my vehicles here knowing they will be repaired correctly.

The petitions for my prayers have been answered for 4 years. All the work sent to Richie s from CC body shop and personal, always have a precise result, those free diagnoses put me on the right direction. Definitely is my place for the final opinion!!! Thanks Mr. Walker

They may not be able to pencil you in to get your vehicle seen for a week or two but it s because they re that good. Friendly staff and professional service are what they offer. You feel like family; I knew my 2012 Ram 1500 was in good hands.

Anytime someone asks about where to go for their auto repairs, I suggest Ritchie's. They have wonderful service and run an honest business, which is rare for automotive repair shops anywhere around here. They treat everyone well, and I, as a woman, can say we do not get treated any different than any man, which is also SUPER RARE around here. They never try to bait and switch, and they call in advance if something comes up instead of not telling you until after. I could go on all day about how wonderful they are, but should you need an auto repair, you should go and see the night and day difference yourself. Trust me, you will never need to go anywhere else.Thank you Ritchie's for being consistently fantastic over the years!

I took my GMC to get looked at for the AC. It was very hard to diagnose because it was only blowing hot mid afternoon but they kept it for a day and a half and they ended up blowing out the system refilling it, checking the pressure and it absolutely worked, my AC is now cold and I have no problems. I would highly recommend these guys for anything. They will definitely figure out the problem diagnose it before they charge you and not try to rip you off. I will continue to bring all of my vehicles to these guys to let them diagnose it fix it and move on. Thank you guys so much.Service: General repairs & maintenance

After taking my car to be inspected due to a possible power steering leak I was informed by Ritchie Automotive that the car did not have a leak. I appreciate the honesty and excellent service I received from the company. I also was able to discuss future service needs and received honest feedback. I highly recommend using Ritchie Auto and will definitely use them should my car need repair services.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Really really disappointed. Me and my family used richies for 10-12 years. The bigger they have gotten the more expensive they're becoming and the less concerned they are for their customers. Back in the day they would fix whatever the problem was. Not try to sell you all new parts that dont even need to be replaced. Took my car in for an AC issue. I got a call that they need to replace the entire AC kit. They wanted to charge me $1800. I asked if they knew where the leak was coming from and they couldn't give me a direct answer. After talking back and forth and being placed on hold they determined it was probably the compressor. Wanting a second option I said I'll just pick up my car. I go get my car and they charged me $151. Even though I was told by Walker "oh we always call before doing any repair- diagnosis is free" word for word what he told me yesterday. Today when I questioned the charge it was excuses on why they had to charge me this time. So a free diagnosis turned into $151. Complete waste of time and money. Will update my review with my second opinion to see what other mechanics find out and if the entire AC system really had to be replaced. I'm thinking it will be something as simple as a compressor valve or an ac hose but we will see.

Ritchie Automotive is without a doubt the best auto repair place I've ever been to. I don't live near San Antonio anymore, but I will still drive over an hour just to come here. Always polite and professional. They've done a great job at diagnosing and repairing issues when ice had them arise.Outstanding integrity too, they were honest about their comfort level when asked about working on a diesel's turbo, and recommended a couple nearby shops that specialize in diesels!

If you want honest advice, honestly priced, then this is the mechanic for you. I was told by another mechanic that I needed my clutch completely replaced so I brought my car to Ritchies in addition to a brand new clutch that I had bought for them to put in. I recieved a call later saying that my clutch is completely fine, 100% good to go. They told me that they didn't see any reason to replace it. They could have easily taken advantage of me as the part they needed was literally in the back seat, but they didn't. Trustworthy mechanics do exist!

Always does great and professional work. Never had any work completed that went over their original estimate. As a Vet, they have continued to offer a discount on any work. Always take our vehicle to them for all services. High recommend them for any auto needs.

Our family uses Ritchie's exclusively, but it was my first time actually taking my own car. They couldn't duplicate the issue I was having, so after running some tests, I went and picked it up. Haven't had another issue! But they were so kind and didn't charge me!

I can't say enough good things about Ritchie Automotive. A business of true Christian decency and honor .Their work is outstanding in every way possible.Even more importantly, they do not perform unnecessary repairs. Twice now they have saved me a lot of money ($2,500 and $1,800) by letting me know the truth about why my "service engine soon" light had turned on and by telling me drivability was not an issue, so repairs are not necessary at this time.A business that isn't blindly focused on its bottom line, but is honest with its customers, rather than taking advantage of people who might not know a lot about cars.Ritchie Automotive is a Godsend and may God bless them.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My sister and mom have been using Ritchie for several years. Always been straight up guys. Due to a recent surgery and truck going into limp mode, I took in my 2014 Ford Truck with 150,000 miles for DEF tank heater replacement. I have changed it before but can't at this time. They charged me an extra ~$800 for a new DEF tank. When I questioned it the smug guy behind the counter made a comment about it may cause problems later. That is garbage and he knew it. The only way that causes future problems if the mechanic does not clean it correctly when installing the new heater.These guys don't seem to be forthright any longer.

Frank and his team are beyond awesome!!! They replaced the computer in my Toyota and I was pleasantly surprised at how much it ended up costing. I was bracing for a thousand or more dollars but it ended up being under $400. Thank God!!! They are great at communication and keeping you updated on the progress. They even got my car back to me before I expected it! Hands down the best!!!!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance

They saved us so much money compared to the Dodge dealership! They got our parts and finished the service in the same day. Nice and courtious staff, very honest. They take care of me every time I need it, going above and beyond when my truck is down. I trust them completely. I have never second guessed their recommendations and they have never steered me wrong. Me and my wife bring my Dodge Ram and her Buick Enclave for just about everything we need and we have never had to bring them back after a repair. Good peeps. I highly recommend to everyone I can.

The positive is they are good to deal with and give free estimates. The negative is we had our A/C system replaced less than a year ago and we had to bring it back because it was not blowing cold. They added more refrigerant but could not find the slow leak.

The hands-down best mechanic in all of San Antonio and surrounding areas. Honest, capable, affordable. I recommend them to everyone who ever asks, and they always call me to thank me and say how great they are. I have five cars (four old ones) and I am there often for maintenance and old car issues, and they have kept me on the road for years now. Frank is truly a Christian and you can trust him. Can't recommend them highly enough.
