Where do I begin...Mike is an amazing person first and a master mechanic second. I had the pleasure of starting a relationship with Mike when I brought him my 1971 Ford F100 and was completely blown away. His passion, honesty, integrity, and talent brought this truck back to life and for that I will be forever grateful. I always got excited when I knew a part was coming in and I had to go to his shop, because the conversations, ideas, laughs, and story telling along the way would be priceless. My interest in classic cars would never be where it is today and to have Mike as my friend and mechanic during these life changing events is truly special. Now we start our next project and I couldn't be happier. Mike's expertise, knowledge, experience, and talent puts him in a category all of his own. Thank you for the partnership. Mike was awesome. He worked on my 1953 dodge pickup. The truck had no power. He made adjustments to timing and linkage. and checked over the whole truck. Mike knows what he is doing

Wish I could give Mike more than 5 stars. Recently completed an extensive project on my 1966 Chevy 10. Replacing the 6 cylinder 3 speed with a worked V8 with 5 speed and numerous mechanical and electrical upgrades. From the simplest to most complex he will get the job done right. I have been going to Mike since I bought my car in 2016, and essentially, when I had a broken truck, and he got it back up and running; he will explain what is wrong, how he does it, and will answer any question you have on your car, or truck.

Mike is the BEST! I purchased a 1962 Ford Falcon and wanted a complete overhaul. Mike helped me locate a "new to me engine" and began the process of completely rebuilding the mechanics of the car. This was no small task. Mike went above and beyond. He was working with minimal space under the hood, but made everything fit and work beautifully. He took a car that was really unreliable and transformed it into a gem. All throughout the process, he diligently sent me pictures of the progress, so I could have everything documented. Not only did Mike do a fabulous job, but his services are very reasonably priced. A wonderful value! I will not take my car elsewhere - Mike will always be my go-to moving forward. No matter the job - big or small, Mike is your guy. Mike is one of the most genuine individuals I have come across in my life. I initially took my 2010 Ford F-150 for him to change out my alternator. He was quick and respectful of my time, my truck, and my wallet! He provided options and wouldn t start work until I gave the Go or No Go . Stay with me....After this experience, I decided he was the right person to take my late father s 1955 Ford F-100 (old blue) which hasn t ran for close to 20 years. Prior to sitting (20 years ago), the motor had a complete engine rebuild and I did not have time and/or the funds to fix the brakes or install seats along with other required work. Year after year, it sat.I noticed a few classic cars in his shop and asked Mike if he would be willing to work on Old Blue to get it up and running again. Working on classic cars and trucks is his passion. Mike was happy to take on the project and get Old Blue running again. Not only did he get all fuel lines cleaned, new belts and hoses installed, installed a new battery and gas tank and rebuilt the carburetor, he made sure that once the truck ran, it was able to stop! Mike knows what he is doing 100%. He is a natural problem solver. Again with this project, he always contacted me by phone or email and gave cost effective options so that my wallet wasn t hurt too much. I would have paid double or triple if I went anywhere else. I also would have paid Mike double for the amazing job and care he gave to my truck. She purrs when she needs to and roars when I want her to! Mike was super professional and knowledgeable. I got my 77 camaro tuned, radiator flushed, transmission oil changed, power steering fluids changed, and new belts. Mike even cleaned my filter and noticed that I needed a new fan clutch. There are not a lot of people that truly , not only have a passion for their own cars, but for their customers cars also. He was very affordable and was able to do everything the same day. Highly recommended. Taken my 77 Ford F-150 to Mike multiple times. Iv been on a budget so I only trust taking it to him. Mike does fantastic, honest work. He has helped me out with pointers on how to do some of the work myself and only takes the truck when it s something I can t handle on my own. You cannot go wrong with letting him work on your vehicle.

Mike has worked on all four of our vehicles, including performing a pre-purchase evaluation on an older vehicle we bought for one of my daughters. An excellent mechanic, a true gentleman and the type of guy you recommend to your parents, grandparents and kids because you trust him with your family's safety. I highly recommend Mike for your auto repairs and basic maintenance. He is knowledgeable and completely honest, which is difficult to find in our current society. Mike goes above and beyond. He recently advised me with my son's car repairs.My son's car overheated and broke down in San Marcos. He had the vehicle towed to local repair shop where they quoted him over $1700 just to get vehicle to a point of diagnosis. I called Mike!! He discussed situation with me and together we decided to have car towed here to Boerne. When Mike called me the next morning he had the car running and we discussed needed repairs. I walked out at $380!!! with a dependable vehicle.Service: Air conditioning

I brought into Mike's shop a very rare old car that needed a tune up. Mike corrected the problems quickly and without unnecessary expense. My car runs great since Mike did his magic. He is honest and very responsive to emails and phone calls. I can highly recommend him for all your car repair needs.

Been going to Mikes for about the last 3 years now. Stands by his work and on several occasions talked me out of doing certain additions to my engine .things I thought would give me more horsepower .or better performance ..he said no when he easily .could have did what I wanted and earned the business and profit. That s a honest mechanic who looks out for his customers .flat out told me if this was his vehicle he would not do it and it s a waste of money. If you want a honest mechanic..who isn t gonna gouge your eyes out .or do unnecessary repairs. You found the right place. Mike is a truly great mechanic. He s one of the old school guys with an expansive fund of knowledge that comes from years of experience. I have older classics that not many guys know how to work on. I completely trust Mike to do the job right. He repaired the problem with my tri-power carburetors when no one else could. Mike at Mike's Automotive is an HONEST mechanic who takes the time to explain what is wrong with your car! I took my 1967 Dodge Dart GT in for a possible bad transmission. Mike looked at it and determined that it needed a service and the linkage adjusted and that the main problem was the carburetor was out of adjustment. He did the the work after calling me and going into detail about what was wrong and the car runs GREAT! Mike is great person to talk to. He helped with a special car I own and he understood how special the car is to me.. Mike did some welding on my car and did a fabulous job and even sent me pictures of the work. I highly recommend Mike for any and all your automotive needs as well as welding.

I purchased my 1966 Chevy C10 in January of 2020. With the exception of the engine the truck was all original. My goal was to make the vehicle mechanically sound and driveable year-round within a moderate budget.Over the next several months I spoke with several mechanics in Kendall and Comal counties. Some were willing to work with me, but had backlogs, high estimates and were non-committal on timeframes. Some were too busy, weren't "in that business" or only did full restorations ($$$).One Friday night in October I came across the Mike's Automotive website and decided to text him. I expected a response on Monday, but received a reply from Mike within an hour asking what I needed help with. After texting for about an hour Mike invited me to bring the truck in and take a look at his shop.When we met Mike explained his primary business is every day drivers, but classics are his first love. He described how he schedules and operates, setting realistic expectations for my part in the process. We agreed to put the C10 on the schedule for December.Over the next two months I obtained and delivered a transmission, power steering kit, 4-wheel disc brake conversion kit, Vintage Air A/C conversion kit and a front sway bar to Mike. He bought other parts as needed, billing me for only the actual cost. Additionally, he fabricated a few items in-shop.The project took a little over 3 months, but included the holidays, Snowmageddon and usual delays waiting for parts. It was still within the timeframe discussed. Mike even allowed me custody of my baby on a couple weekends when work was at a good stopping point.Mike helped me to reach my objectives mechanically and he did it within budget. My C10 is like a completely different vehicle. I am thoroughly satisfied with the quality of work completed and would recommend Mike's Automotive to anyone!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Engine repair, A/C installation & repair

I began using Mike`s Automotive when he opened his doors to vehicle repairs in Georgetown, Texas in 1996. Because of Mike`s talent for diagnosing vehicles problems and his forthright honesty, I used Mike`s Automotive repairs until the day Mike moved his business to Boerne.All my family went to Mike, not only for repairs, but advice on which new vehicles we should purchase, from a mechanics perspective. Now that I am retired, I plan to travel to Boerne for my vehicle repairs.

Got a basic oil change and check up. They put in a much better quality oil than the truck (2014 Tacoma) had ever had. It runs much smoother and quieter. Mike also diagnosed a concerning noise in the front suspension that my dealer had failed to fix twice as well as showed me it's likely they hadn't been checking my cabin air filter. It was packed with dirt and leaves. The best part of the experience was the people themselves. It didn't feel scripted or robotic, just genuine honest folks.

THANK YOU!ORIGINAL POST: My dad's clutch went out on his Ford F-150 and he's going to be doing the work, so far everything has been really great with the communication and I'm looking forward to updating this review once the work is complete! So far so good, now I know why everyone says this is the shop to go to!

Mike was very friendly and professional and most importantly quick to lend his professional diagnostic skills. We were traveling in our RV and there was a strange noise in the rear differential. Mikes quick diagnostic got us right back on the road to NM.

Heard of him through my neighbors. One of the few honest mechanics around. New to the location, but he s our mechanic now. I had one of the more established shops, Beldons, try to screw me over, $800 + on a 4 tire brake job just for pads. Never again. You can t beat an honest mechanic shop. Try Mike s out, he does the job quickly & with great prices.

He gave me a detailed diagnosis of my vehicle and I will return for the repair work. Very friendly and personable oh, that he helped me get the best price for the parts I need. Plan 2 make him my mechanic full time.
